I'm too scared to do it with the DJI FPV i only have money for one drone and if it break that's it lol
Please continue learn
May I ask what park this is?
Pre ordered the controller for my avatar 2 so now while waiting i got myself a cetus x to fly and sim (with the cetus controller)
Your the best wow incrodeble !! Impress
this is probably the best tutorial on how to fly in manual mode - thanks.. still going to use my motion controller but will probably try this on the avata 1
Reckon he’s one of the best instructors out there. So awesome!!!😊
Manual mode is where it’s at. Gr8 breakdown for the newbies
Very good explanation 👏 👌 straight to the point, step by step, done like chicken dinner ! My man! Well done! You got yourself sub! Big ups!
Thanks brother!!! this is what im looking for!
Thanks so much for this tutorial
Marvelous information. Liked. Have a nice time.
X you got it going on,. thanks you so much for the HELP. I'm an old guy trying to learn how to fly manual L O L.
thx for this great video mate! 👍
DJI should pay you to do their instructional videos. After watching your videos the last 4 years, you are truly the best.
FINALLY, a decent tutorial for flying the Avata 2 in manual mode. With thanks.
THIS MAN IS A BEAST!
This has to be the greatest drone ever to learn to FPV. The pause button is a life saver.
This video should be on the DJI website because you perfectly explained the process of making the settings changes as well as good information on how to progress towards manual/acro mode and on battery number six I have flown about half of a battery on full acro mode. You should get paid a lot for this video. It’s incredible, so thank you again!
Breaking it down like a dad teaching a kid how to fish. Exactly what we need when jumping into full manual. Thank you!
great dad
This is actually the best tutorial and tips I've seen. Most people just jump straight into manual flight.
Great tutorial, Ive learned a lot!!! Thanks X, btw I just saw airplanes in your video, are you near an airport? hehe just curious
lol upsiddydown is something you would hear from a Jamaican child :)
You should be the first thing what people see and hear when they buy a new drone from DJI
Like mandatory to watch before use type of tutorial...
Well done 👏
Thank you so much! This is the best and most helpful video for manual flying with the Avata 2.
I mean, I know already how to fly manual but Im grateful you are helping the homies go manual. ❤
Great explanations and demo, definitely practice and don't rush into full manual mode, too expensive of a risk, progress with confidence and practice.
Btw. surprised you can fly so close to Airplane flight paths (airport near by?). We have to stay like 3km radius away and many areas near planes are forbidden/blocked while others need special permissions to be requested even with restricted flight heights of 90m.
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 Thanks from France... i thought my contrôler was broken before i use it ! ... thanks a lot man !
that OhShit button is very useful 😂
You caught me by this great video i should give 5 stars because you made it so fit to me to fly in manual mode! Thanks My Friend!
Thank you…… this is exactly what I was looking for to set up my FPV controller 3…… I tried the motion controller and do not like it.
fantastic explanation, cant wait for lesson 2, well done
Bro. That was 14 minutes telling us how you feel about springs
Thank You X
Best tutorial on UA-cam.
God Bless.
G.
love your enthusiasm :D so no need for simulator training?
it definitly helps :)
Scared of using d controller but hey you explain well nice 😊👍
Thanks for making this video. This is just what I was looking for and you do it in a very concise easy to follow way great teacher. I am still deciding when to get the Avata 2 the piggy bank needs to get a bit fatter first.😀 Best wishes Matt.
Hey Xavier, Nice howto! Which control mode is it (1,2 or 3)? Cause i thought the left stick should throttle and the right stick is the one for altitude!?
Uma aula perfeita. Parabéns pela didática e obrigado pelo ensinamento!
i did the same with my sticks even thou i only flown manual once or twice.
Nice, will follow your guide...
I was unsure if getting the FPV rc or not, I guess you made me sure that's the next step
+1 subscriber here. Very on point and clear tuts
Wish id seen this b4 i tried going into manual twice =2 crashes
Nice sharing, this is important to people want to learn and enter Manual mode on avata, for minimize the crash potential,
On all of the channel you are the only one who explained very well from basic to pro. You really understand what a newbie is. You are a good teacher! From Philippines.
This was the best video on getting into manual mode with the Avata 2 i saw to this day. Thank you for answering many questions i had in my head!
Wow that aircraft shadow going across the park 09:56 nice capture!
Nice leason Broo, but i've no avata 2 yet😅
Great video, this make it more like something I will try
You make it sound so easy. I got my controller yesterday for the avata 2. Went through a couple batteries with the springs and noticed how much more control I have compared to the motion control...although the motion control is fun ;). Do I only un-spring the left stick and not the right?
I still don't see why you want to kill the spring. Seems like I would rather have it as an automatic return to level. What's so hard about levering it with the spring? But I am no FPV pro.
Because there is nothing like that in manual mode. It just controls throttle.
I never thought to just sit in my car while flying! It doesn’t affect the quality or strength of the signal?
Yes it does but not if you're flying in close proximity and remember this is a Cinewoop , it's not like it's a 5 inch freestyle quad we're latency really matters!
Hi friend, when i press Puase button the avata 2 pause, but how can i remove the pause? im trying to be more confident and in the normal mode the buttom when i pressed was pause, but i cant remove pause easily, im so scared to take on the manual mode, the logic is: One tap to pause and one tap to unpause? here dosent work..
Indeed you absolutely 200% correct! Good job!
Great video!!! Very concise and straight forward explanation. Keep up the great tutorials
Dude why can't anyone else teach this as easily as you do. I've asked pilots and they can't teach, nice work. I feel like i know what to do now
Thank you so much for making this video. O always wanted to fly manual mode but have issues with the flight simulators. But with this tutorial I'm ready and excited to try it. Thank you again and please upload pt2. Already liked and subscribed 👍
Also grab a PC drone sim and practice! You can connect the RC to your PC and use it to practice in the sim of your choice!
I hate this person, very informative but he's extremely annoying
5:07 any idea what's going on with that glow around the drone's shadow? I get the same thing with my Avata 2. Whenever I can see it's shadow in direct sunlight, there's always that glow around it. Anyone know why?
Wow! I never noticed that until now!
@@xavier_arthur just did some googling and it’s actually a completely natural phenomenon called the Heiligenschein effect :) nothing wrong with our drones haha
As a dyslexic, this video is perfect, the video with controller split, gives everything perspective.
I watched hundreds of DJI Avata 2 video and this is the best controller tutorial I've watched! Thank you X! +1 subscriber! My RC3 will be delivered tomorrow, I will use this video as my guide to manual mode.
Ok gonna do it ordering the controller now ya gots ME HOOKED SIR and I thank you 🙏 will let you know my progress ✌️drone brother stay safe
bardzo dobry materiał
Nice tutorial and advices 👍🏼
Great good video, but manual/acro mode is not simple at all. I would recommend getting a simulator to really get a feel for how a FPV drone acts. I would also watch a video that shows exactly what every stick input do and how to combine them to for instance do a wide turn. The angel/level mode should not be used to much as it gives u a muscle memory that will make it way harder to get into full acro, the sim liftoff was clear about that by not letting you fly to much level mode in tutorials etc. I spent about 10-15h in a simulator doing tutorials and a lot of free flight and then you should be able to stay steady in the air and keep evolving your skills and become better. Just wanted to share some insight, the most important thing you should take from this is to use a simulator BEFORE flying in either angle/level mode and full acro mode. It helps a ton! Amazing video bro, but I thought it would be necessary to save some pilots from getting to confident and just jumping straight into manual/acro mode. Cheers.
Can I use the controller from my mini 4 pro for manual mode?
No! 😞

You know very well how to teach people things, my friend. Essentially, people do not want to know what to do, but how they can prevent a mistake they might make. So people can be braver. This is a great video! Subscribed.
Excellent video , thanks- best tutorial ever!! Now i wanna save up for a A2 and dare to try fly manual after years of flying ”normal DJI drones” God bless Brother 🙏❤️
I couldn't agree more with all the other comments, this is by far the simplest, most direct, and overall best tutorial video on how to get into full manual with the AVATA 2. It's even better than all those famous FPV dudes that we all know of.
I'm fully subscribed and watching all the videos on this channel. Heck, I spend more time watching this channel than flying my AVATA 2!
Thank you!
Liked your tutorial a lot. Got my avata 2 with the motion controller and still waiting for my controller to try the manual mode. Your video helped me a lot to see what it looked to be in a manual mode. This is my first fpv drone.😂
Hi Xavier,
What an amazing video, and what an amazing way to explain. Probably the best down to earth explanation I’ve ever heard. Bravo🙏❤️ thank
These are great tips don't get me wrong but I would highly recommend to practise in a simulator like Liftoff. Get comfortable there first then try manual mode.
super interesting video! I really like your way of explaining things, makes stuff much more engaging and interesting to follow. Subscribing!
thank you ,thank you, you are absolutely diamond 💎. I've literally just purchased one of these drones and this controller. I watched many other UA-cam channels and I ended up crashing my brand-new drone ( no damage done it just flipped over when trying to takeoff ) because nobody has made it clear as you have. Didn't even mention about adjusting the springs on the left stick.. your clear instructions and the way you repeat yourself over and over personally I feel is great 👍 some people might be put off by it for the other UA-cam channels just go through Too quick for me personally to process .. so a big thumbs up from me ... I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this video and I will be subscribing to your channel now 👍👍🙏 (UK)
Lovely! Such a great explanation. Thank you so much for making the educational process that easy.
Thank you very much man for this video, I'm getting close to manual control of the Avata2 right now. Hours and hours on the simulator but I was still anxious... Knowing that the pause button also works in manual mode is a great breath of fresh air. Thank you
I followed everything, but not sure why when I do split S or dive then slide, it for some reasons pause for me. It seems like there is a protection but I can't find it.

This is litterally the best training video I've seen since months. Very good explanations, even english is not the native language. Thank you very much Bro.
Nice drone good for exploration with good battery time, except in manual mode drained all 3 batteries in no time I think I need to get more batteries, althought when I first tried in manual I wasted some battery time before I figured out that the altitude limit has missleading name it should be angle limit off or something not altitude limit which I thought was just so you don't fly too high. It would be great if they came up with batteries that could hold enough for full manual for at least half an hour. Mostly I just use it for low level flight to explore places and battery in normal mode with that handy small stick controller is great. Have to say that for full manual their first FPV seems best to me this one tended to judder a bit when coming out of loops and rolls sometimes, was windy though when that happened.
Simple and concise instructions! Thanks!
Thank you So much X For making this Amazing video... You had cleared all my doubts about DJI AVATA 2 🔥... Loved the video. Thank you
In the uk going to start learning manual and this video a fantastic help.Looking forward to pt 2
👍👍👍
Great video Xavier, thank you. OK, after a few weeks, have mastered steps 1-3. Will you be releasing the next stage video soon? Really looking forward to it!
I just bought the controller 3 for my avata 2 and I am very glad to have found your videos.
This is the video I was looking for! Definitely going to pick up a controller now. Thanks man!
Subbed too
Thanks X!!
I tried my first manual steps in my second flight with no plan, it was disappointing because I thought I'll be good, because I'm good in the simulator 😅
Reality told me the truth.
Now I got plan with your video, thanks Bro!
Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for this tutorial guy, this is extactly what I was looking for! Subscribed.
I have the avata 2, going to order the manual controller soon, I can’t wait! Do you recommend using the simulator first?
Mostly bloggers saying not much about manual mode, but this video was really helpful, I really appreciate it!
Thank you so much, I like your own way to teach us how to fly in M mode. Many fpv experts just tell us that we have to spend a lot time on playing simulation first, that’s sooo bored!
Great video bro.Just subed
Did that already 😊
Sir !!!!
I Love your video's , I have learned So MUCH..... thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I‘ll change my religion from pastafari to pausebuttonism right now.
Cheers Xavier
Are you from Trinidad? lol
Awesome video! Thank you so much for it! I'm downloading a simulator right now.. I'm a Licensed 107 pilot, but this is my first FPV Drone, so i needed the screw driver instructions and everything else... appreciate it!
THANK you X for this one 😅🥳
helps me THAT much to unlock my brain toggel this damn manual button 😂👍🏼
life can be that simple, if there's this small hint to help you up 😊
... and NOW i'm looking forward to 2/2 😉😂😁
I would highly recommend to get a simulator like LiftOff and practice for at least 10 hours there.
That’s considered as the minimum practice hours you should have before flying a fpv drone irl.
@DJI Give this guy the Avata 3 and few thousand of bucks.
Absolutely amazing video - enthusiastic and educating. Love Your passion! Great job and thanks! 😊
Great Video.
FPV = Crashes.
Beginner = Crashes.
To fix a cracked prop guard, the #Avata2 has to be shipped to #DJI 💸💸
#Avata2 is NOT a beginner drone.
Very good tutorial for flying manual on the Avata2. Awesome work and yes subscribed for further videos.
Just bought RC3...but still learning how to fly it in manual mode. Your video helping me. Thanks man
This was an amazing lesson thank you so much!!! Can’t wait to practice! Been using the sim because I was too intimidated but you made it seem real straight forward!!
I think manual acro will not be possible within the EU…just 19m/s, so motors are limited…means the power will not be enough for full acro even in manual
DUDE!! What an awesome tutorial! Great lesson plan and tactic for conquering manual mode. This is an intimidating task, but you've managed to simplify it for the common caveman 😃
