I was a tomboy till the age of 16. Never played with dolls, mostly played with my grandfather’s tools and most of my friends were guys. I’ve heard hundreds of times that I should have been born as a guy. I have never thought that I was gender non conforming or binary or some bs. I am female and that’s it. We all have feminine and masculine sides. I just feel sorry for all these confused people. Why can’t they just be called guys who are in touch with their feminine side? Why do they have to come up with these new names? Also the word cis gender just makes me gag.

I have experienced this first hand as a member of a Hotel Management team. On one occasion a "Woman" came to check in for the night, and I said "Good evening Madam", she then claimed I was being rude "By assuming they were a woman", my responce was " Im sorry, but the Voluptuos boobs and Immense cleavage threw me for a moment, please accept my appology sir". The roar of laughter from other poeple waiting behind them was enough to make her/he pick up their bag and leave. I believe what I see initialy, not what you want me to believe.

Recently someone jumped at me for misgendering a hand-drawn cartoon character which was obviously a male (as for cartoon standards, you know, taller, sharp edges, no eyelashes, no exposed lips etc.) and called be a trainsphobic bigfoot*, because they claimed that the character must be a female. Yeah, because they can assume their gender just fine, as long as it is the opposite to how it looks like, but I cannot do the same by the looks :q Slow clap…

And hearing as well, if I hear a “girl”‘a voice and it sounds masculine then I would think or know they’re a man. That’s how humans survived for so long BECAUSE we can differentiate between male and females. The same thing goes for animals like reptiles, birds, and rodents who have different sizes, sounds, and color patterns depending on their gender.

Shapiro is exactly right. My family went to an arts festival. It was also attended by a lot of trans people. A larger group of them were gathered and they had done a lot of work to look like females. My 6 year old daughter asked me quietly, "why is that guy doing that?". What a healthy perspective from a child.

I like how Ben showed respect even though he disagreed. That’s proper discourse. Ben could have used this as a opportunity to really make this kid feel stupid but he didn’t. I remember when I was about 6 or 7 years old (actually, I am not sure of my age! It might have been close to 10, but definitely no older) wondering whether other people are "really real" or not, for example they might just be phantasms of my creative imagination, or like what I met in a computer programme. According to the academic literature, this is fairly common and every human being, besides those who are psycho or socio-paths, decides that other human beings are externally real, even if we can't identify that certainly (clearly we don't as children express it so specifically, but this is what it boils down to).
All pscyhologically healthy human beings don't need to punch another person to know that that other person is real. The premise of the querants argument seems to be based upon a textbook definition of mental illness. The fact that the philosophy he espouses as a criticism of sex as a reality to be recognised by an individual just shows how "imaginative" some of our fields of study in our late-stage culture have become

My friend got yelled at for misgendering someone the other day . He couldn’t tell if he was looking at a female or a male .Not his fault

It's more common with children. My younger brother is a big, brawny guy who plays hockey. No one could possibly mistake him for being a woman, but when we were kids, everyone would always tell me what a cute little sister I have.

People should ask why they are offended by misgendering? What do I care if a random person calls me by the wrong gender? It is basically calling me ugly to misgender me.
