Pier Morgan blew me away how humble he actually is. Admitting to Ben what he did after the dust up gave me real respect for him.
If only ANY of the extreme-left would do that - admit that PERHAPS just MAYBE they could have handled things better, we could mend things, but so long as they always take the moral high-ground and continue to INSIST they are correct, even when you can prove them wrong, then there is no hope for them. No bad thing. There is no point in keeping people around, who are ACTUAL bigots - the lefties. Nevermind the fact they are always calling the right the bigots, which is perhaps the biggest projection in political history.

I've come full circle on Piers. I didn't like him in the past, then thought he was being disingenuous when he started expressing more nuanced opinions, now I genuinely believe that he has recognized his own flaws and made strides to improve himself. Bravo, Piers. We could all learn a thing or two from your humility and growth.
Btw “coming full circle” on something is to go back to what you started with. So in this case saying that would mean that you went from not liking him to liking him, then back to not liking him again. In your case say “pulled a 180” instead. 👍

I had previously considered myself a traditional Liberal. However, when trying to engage in open conversation with the current Left, is almost traumatic. Even if we ask polite, genuine questions, we are just met with vulgar insults and threats. It’s pushed me, and my husband, towards the right. Even if I disagree with people on the right, they don’t call me names, or threaten my family. They argue, with facts-based opinions.

This bizarre concept of “my truth” has been around longer than some realize. My story; back in 1993 I was working as a computer programmer at a bank. My manager quit, and was replaced by this lady around 50. One day I was telling her about the night operators chronic errors, and his lies about it. She cut me off and said “Well, your truth is different from Ted’s truth. “. I had ZERO idea what she meant. I replied “No. there’s truth and there’s lies. What Ted is telling you is lies. “
Then she went on some long rant about everyone having “their own truth”. It was there and then I knew my new boss was insane. It was only years later I realized that her words are code for “I’m a crazy liberal. “.

This is great to see two highly intelligent people from different viewpoints actually growing in their understanding of each other; on the topics that they've covered specifically, as well as their demeanor in general. Ben is becoming less and less passive-aggressive, and Piers is learning how detrimental it can be to let emotions run a debate unchecked.
Conversation like this is our society's only hope.

My opinion of Piers Morgan is shifting a lot recently. I used to brush him off as an argumentative bully, but the more I watch his videos recently the more realise I was just being unfair. He makes some great points and is willing to stand by his principles, and he has humility.

Thomas Sowell is a perfect example of what Ben was saying about people dismissing or refusing to consider data due to motivations they attribute to the person providing the data. Sowell is literally one of the greatest minds ever produced in the U.S. yet he is treated dismissively by most who refuse to accept his findings due to ideology. he is a national treasure whos work will never get the attention he deserves. most young people will never even know he exists, and obviously there are many other examples. he is just the first and most egregious example that came to mind.
So glad that these two were able to reconcile. We need so much more of that in this society. Admitting when we've gotten two emotional and coming back to the conversation in a constructive way. Well done, both of you.

I used to despise Piers Morgan, but since he has finally opened his mind to actually *hearing* the other side of the aisle and kept an open mind, he is finally seeing the *truth.* There will forever be bad politicians on both sides of the aisle, which is why it's so important to be objective without absorbing everything your favorite news source is feeding your mind. I've developed so much respect for Piers throughout the recent years.

Great interview. I love that Piers is man enough and self reflective enough to admit to his faults. And what better person to do this with than Ben, who seems to be a very fair and objective person. These kinds of conversations are what will bring us forward. Not the shouting over each other.

Ben Shapiro is sooo right. As a life long small "l" liberal, I am now starting to be more and more conservative. Based on the complete lack of common sense and the ego centricity of the woke tribe.
I accept gays and lesbians and always have, even entertaining drag queens, BUT as soon as children became involved in the trans movement, I just saw RED and now loath anyone who is LGBTQ.
It’s pretty cool seeing pierce addressing the old interview and how well they both handled it! Very good growths guys between all of us. I was just as fired up with Ben years ago and hell I guess it being a decade now since then it’s good to see how I’ve grown as well with them and thoughts and experiences
Ben has become very popular amongst young adults...and younger follow him on u,tube etc. He often gets very excited when he is putting his points across...[ Makes me smile ] he has a moral compass....unlike many I care not to mension...

I don't watch Piers Morgan, but I did watch the original interview with Ben and Piers' attitude toward him. It's nice to see how Piers is genuinely open to conversation and doesn't have the single-sided conviction that other hosts seem to have.

That was one of the most mature and refreshing interviews I have seen in recent times, between two people whose views do not always align, but who treat each other with respect and who debate objectively not emotionally, with an open mind. In doing so, their opinions evolve and adapt towards a consensus. That happens so rarely these days, it is almost unique 😢

This was not a debate, but a conversation. Peoples inability to admit they're wrong in a debate setting, is why Michael Malice says he never has them, only does conversations. In a debate everyone comes in with "my truth," and vast majority of people are incapable of admitting that they're wrong, willing to say pretty much anything to feel like they won.
I guess it comes from debate format being combative/confrontational, which puts people in a combative state. While conversations are by their nature cooperative.
