I'm a right winger, but while the left is insane, the right is stupid, and most asshats do in fact get it wrong. Ben gives a good, real definition of CRT here. It is monstrous, and what's beautiful is that the CRT goblin publicly endorses it shamelessly. He says out loud that under CRT, the existence of a disparity, by itself, is evidence that said disparity is caused by discrimination. This is transparently retarded. Newton saw an apple move from a tree to the ground; saying that the existence of the movement is evidence that a force called gravity caused the apple to fall is as logical as saying that the existence of the movement is evidence that aliens caused the apple to fall; better evidence is needed and this is a dogshit epistemic standard. CRT scholars never actually do the research to show that this is the case. They'll just point to something like an income gap, and point to all sorts of statistics on outcome differences, but never give proper evidence that discrimination is to blame because they're operating on a perverted version of critical theory which has descended into relativism.

The Red guards in cultural revolution during Mao's era even killed the "class enemies" and ate their flesh in order to show the "hatred" towards them !
@@galaxy-star-me One huge difference: color didn't figure into communist regimes. Marxism is not predicated on the theory of genetic hierarchies between human beings; whereas, class struggles are an objective, configured reality.

What's even more puzzling is how the audience just went along with it. And that's why we have many of the problems we do today.
@ABM part is history and it should be thought as a fact not with opinion. Where CRT goes astray is when it teaches one group they are racist and oppressors by fact of birth and another that they will always be oppressed victims with no ability to advance on there own.
And then accuses Shapiro of using a hijacked definition! The guy is literally just going for rhetorical effect on an audience dumb enough to clap along.
@ABM Mate stfu, you’re the one who doesn’t know what they’re on about. YES, it is theory and history, when it should just be history. That’s the point. Especially when this particular theory is so terrible. It is an explicitly anti-liberal and anti-American theory. It uses magical thinking in place of rational argument, declaring the whole system to be racist despite being unable to point to parts of the system that engage in this racism, not having any legal basis on which to make such an assertion (only ever describing unequal outcomes, and just asserting that the cause of that inequality is racism). Kimberle Crenshaw explicitly states that she wants to promote Race Marxism in her book, but then acts all two-faced in television interviews, lying to people, telling them she just wants to continue the legacy of the Liberal Civil Rights movement. Stefancic and Delgado make it crystal clear that their problem is with Liberalism. Derrick Bell promotes an image of America so wilfully pessimistic that the only solution presented is the total breaking down of the system and replacing it with something entirely different. In this respect it is a revolutionary ideology. That is a TOTALLY inappropriate thing to teach in schools. So stop hiding the ball, and stop with the cheap moralising and smug race-card pulling. It’s a complete crock. When you say “whites are fearful”, you’re reducing people’s objections to something irrational. But CRT is detestable for completely rational reasons. Nonetheless, you say you understand why white people would be fearful, which is an acknowledgment of CRT’s anti-white bent. Yet still you support it? This alone is enough reason to oppose CRT. No Theory that promotes anti-whiteness (or anti-any-particular-race-ness) should be taught in schools. It’s as simple as that.

That guy Ben made excellent points that have had me thinking about what we're being told is the "truth" for over a week now . While brother Malcom, who I was hoping would put up a great argument, was way to emotional. Not a good look.
Ben lied about the Clark County lower passing scores for testing because of CRT. How can it do such a thing when it is not in the curriculum yet? The reason they lowered the passing scores was there was an inequality among students in remote learning resources at home. Malcolm was trying to explain that content in CRT at the elementary, junior high, high school and undergrad level was going to be different than the content in law school. Ben defined the law school version perfectly. Just did not explain what the curriculum would be at the other educational levels. Malcolm was trying to explain what it would need to include. Since there is no standardized curriculum yet at any pre law school level.
@@tom10552 He doesn't mean "CRT" as in the CRT course. He is talking about "CRT" as in the ideology spreading through school programs that is based off of CRT.
@@MrJeremiah135 Both Malcom and Ben meant the same thing. Malcolm agreed with the law school definition Ben gave. And said the CRT acronym has been hijacked and misused. To develop the curriculum to teach history of racial injustice in America. Ben decided to be adversarial and get in his face, “You believe CRT should be taught in schools.” Malcolm said I did not say that about three times. Ben still persisted. So Malcolm slammed Ben and his show. Ben exposed his true colors. “I sleep very well on my bed made of money.” So his grift is all about making money. While Not expousing truth ( therefore his lie about Clark County). Malcolm also used the virus analogy with Ben and Bill to show the failure of the educational system to teach about both viruses ( therefore a anti Vaccine and anti mask sub population) and racial injustice ( therefore a significant white supremacist population). Sadly it went over their heads. Ben being the so-called intellectual voice of the Republican Party shows poor critical thinking in missing that.
Is there anyone here who thinks that Malcolm Nance won this exchange and can defend why? Everyone who applauded around 4:00 needs to flogged for their idiocy.
I was excited to listen to a debate about this topic and instead we just got one side looking for applause over having a thoughtful discussion. As a liberal this is just one more in the ever increasing pile of recent embarrassments over being a liberal. Ben was brave coming on this show, and came looking to have a respectful debate, and instead he just got a smug PoS basking in applause he didn't earn. Bill has been losing his audience more and more recently to the point where he openly calls them idiots... I think he's feeling the embarrassment too.

Anyways, I really respect you staying routed enough to acknowledge what actually happened in this video. Did it change your mind on anything regarding CRT?
Agreed. Very frustrating watching this, but then again I've never heard a good defence for racial segregation and prejudice, which is at the core of CRT. Sidenote; Bill has mocked his audience for decades, because they often like horrible ideas that are politically correct, even when they're obviously iliberal.
as a hard core conservative i was surprised at how ben's "argument" lacked substance. it appeared malcolm, as much as a despise liberals, was able to easily parry both ben and bill and score effective points. both ben and bill seemed to eager to be aggrieved and ended up falling flat on their faces.
@mike carson he is the one who started with personal insults with a condescending laugh instead of actually explaining and educating him and the audience. It was petty. If you're unfamiliar with this stuff it comes off that Ben Shapiro was far more nuanced on this issue.
Of course it is. It hurts to lose while being made a fool of in the process. But, Malcolm should be used to being made a fool of because it happens with such regularity it is no longer funny. It was easy for Ben to do, though, because his opponent is already a fool.

Ben gives a good, real definition of CRT here. It is monstrous, and what's beautiful is that the CRT goblin publicly endorses it shamelessly.

CRT scholars never actually do the research to show that this is the case. If you replace "race" by "class", "black" by "proletariat", "white" by "bourgeoisie" in CRT , it is just another version of Marx's class struggle theory which caused mass killings under communist regimes for the past hundred year. The Red guards in cultural revolution during Mao's era even killed the "class enemies" and ate their flesh in order to show the "hatred" towards them !
@Mel Torpae nice.. make a statement followed by an insult. Your moving mountains.
Exactly. All these people pandering to the dark guy in the room just because of his color.
@@galaxy-star-me One huge difference: color didn't figure into communist regimes. Marxism is not predicated on the theory of genetic hierarchies between human beings; whereas, class struggles are an objective, configured reality.
I'm left scratching my head of what Malcolm said. He completely agreed with Ben's definition of critical race Theory. Then he goes on to redefine it as just teaching history.
@ABM What planet are you living on? “Trump rallies”? A). I’m not a Trump supporter B). I’m not even American (i.e. I’m not wrapped up in the lazy partisan politics of Democrat/Republican propaganda. I just find this stuff offensive to basic rational sensibilities). C). Trump isn’t even the paradigmatic politician anymore.
I take it this childish response of yours, much like Malcolm Nance’s in the video, is being given because you have no argument.
@ABM You’re right, I was mistaken to assume that you gave a shit about anything you say being coherent or rational. After all, this is just about resentment isn’t. What you’re saying is not just racist against whites generally, it’s philosophically deranged. Truth isn’t a self-evident thing. It is something that has to be argued over and demonstrated. So yeah, when you make crazy claims I’m going to argue with you. Tough shit.

@@mogar5764 I get my news from a wide array of sites. Left, right, small, large. I like to have every angle I can get so that I can formulate my own opinion. I'm more of a moderate, I wouldn't even say left or right leaning. But it's pretty apparent, even to most leftists, that CRT is a pretty bogus teaching.
You ask me what the definition of CRT is like I wouldn't know? It's exactly what Ben said in this video, which is, in turn, exactly what Nance agreed with.

He was more milk toast than usual here though, he knew how touchy the subject was.
No its more like he knows how to pick his battles. He knows he can't win a debate against Ben. Still waiting for Bill to have Larry Elder or Thomas Sowell on. Hmm I wonder why he hasn't booked them yet?!
@@nenecitosart1405 Except he agrees with more than half of what Ben is saying and he makes it quite clear that he does in this video. He's not going to debate with Ben on something he mostly agrees with him on.
@@alexabplanalp4455 Exactly what I meant sorry if I didn't phrase it better. Bill for the most part knows how to pick his battles. I remember he had Pragu on forgot the topic but he got under pragu's skin. The left goes for gotcha moments and emotions. Pragu as much as I like him lets his emotions get the best of him when debating a leftist. Shapiro for the most part is a straight shooter. Of course he has had debates where he let his emotions get the best of him. Notice how Bill has less and less people from the left on as he used to have. He has nothing but mostly yes men.
This reminds me of the SpongeBob scene where the crowd claps for SpongeBob and is silent for Squidward.
That guy Ben made excellent points that have had me thinking about what we're being told is the "truth" for over a week now . While brother Malcom, who I was hoping would put up a great argument, was way to emotional. Not a good look.
yeah

I really respect you for being honest. I’m a Libertarian Conservative. Or, some call it Classical Liberal. But it’s decidedly a “Right-Wing” moniker now.
Anyways, I really respect you staying routed enough to acknowledge what actually happened in this video. Did it change your mind on anything regarding CRT?
I considered myself liberal for many years. In recent years my views haven’t changed that much, but the goal posts have.
@@michaelj6392 Most people don't change in their views, however, the margins of classification of those views frequently do.

@mike carson or when your claims don't hold water! Try again using some logic or even common sense!
@mike carson look, I'm on the left and disagree with Shapiro on most things. He's not wrong on this issue.

That’s actually a perfect analogy for this lol
That’s funny as hell I’m using that saying
@@crobeastness I’m pretty sure he’s the pigeon he lost as soon as he completely agreed to Shapiro’s definition. Like there’s no coming back from that in the eyes of 90% of people. Like should we make sure every position for every job is filled equally based on the race of the population? If so the NBA gonna look a whole lot different if things like “merit” are simply casted as a power tool

The very last insult Malcolm Nance threw out at Shapiro saying his show "sucks" is embarassingly immature. He has the mannerisms of a 14 year old trying to impress their juvenile friends by hurling insults at an adult of greater intellect.

Maher who generally is on the left on most issues realizes CRT is actually racist in its construct.
I don't normally agree with Ben, but this time he was 100% right and Malcolm was certainly wrong.
Nah ben was wrong here. Christopher Rufo made all this up about CRT and Transgenders in sports to motivate people against public schools. Shapiro is probably bring dishonest pretending to not know this and Maher doesnt actually do his homework
All Nance was doing was countering Shapiros debate. Nance not only was right, Ben knew Nance won the debate at the point when Ben was talking about Fox News and Nance countered by bringing up conversations on Fox about viruses as an example, Ben stopped dead in his tracks, knew Nance had just nailed him, and retreated and covering himself by stating he was confused. And the debate ended. I don't watch that much of Shapiro, because I find it boring that he preys on those who aren't seasoned debaters and has made a lucrative career doing so. Nance got him. It went over Maher's head, the audience heads, and obviously your head. It was exquisite to witness and get the rare opportunity to see Shapiro in defeat. Maher has no clue what a gem this truly was.
