@@NARUTO-mr3gb u guys in the US have the wrong idea of leftists. Lefts are those who want change(emphasis on change) to make society better while rights are like "y? Society is fine as it is. lets stick to the old methods. no change." This is the textbook definition. U attribute the words of a very few extreme left to the entire left. I agree with some things Ben says. This is how it is in the entire world. In the US however, politicians, celebrities and rights come up with their own definition of lefts and just think everyones like that. Thats not true. Quoting you "If she was a leftist I think she would have a meltdown": very few are like this. Its just this false characterization made by rights for their own personal gain, for example trump, to gain more supporters. The image that lefts are over sensitive or nonsense like that is hogwash. Oh my yes , why do they always do this, having a civil conversation . I respect Ben I don't agree with everything but I see his arguments and respect them . I love his podcast his freaking amazing
What she was really saying is this, you must accept transgender people as the sex they want to be. if you dont you are only using your platform to inciting hatred and violence towards them. its a very typical thing a far lefty would say in order to silence you, and shut down the truth. Ben dont hate transgender people he has made it clear people can be who they want as long as there is no compulsion to play along with the pretence. It would be like me waking up one morning saying i am a white man and expecting everyone else to believe in my delusion.

She was polite and kind, asked good questions and knew how to engage in a conversation. Thats why people are comending her in the comments. Very constructive and respectful dialogue. Ben articulates the same thing I have on numerous occasions, that gender dysphoria is a mental illness and should be treated as such. This is always met with outrage and derision so I don't bother stating it anymore because I was actually losing friends over it.
She seemed to be genuinely interested in learning more about what Ben thinks and why. I could have done without all the cheering. We need a LOT more of this.
Agreed. Even though I generally agreed with what the audience was cheering for, it bothered me immensely, because that sort of thing can make the person asking questions feel outnumbered and cornered and subconsciously make her become incredibly defensive. She was being very respectful and articulate. That's a rarity in this day and age and should be rewarded with like respect. Ben was giving it to her. The audience was not. Shame on the audience.

It's so annoying when the crowd acts as if somebody just got owned when in reality a respectable conversation is taking place. It's common for crowds to do this, on both sides of the the aisle. I feel like Ben should do a video on how to interpret different kinds of political dialogues or something.

its hard to have this kaind of debate when someone is yelling in the background that he's feeling are hurt when all you did that you simply gave him a basic biological study(facts)...
You’re giving her too much credit for not shouting like a looney. While it is more respectable to talk in a calm tone her words were no more productive. She refused to agree upon already set definitions and therefore tried to turn the debate in her favor by twisting Bens words and therefore ideas. No debate is possible without using precise language

Why is it that when someone says they do not agree with an opinion, that are immediately labelled as some kind of phobe? They do not hate or fear anyone, they just have a different point of view. For this they are attacked, insulted, called names, and shouted down by hate-filled intolerant others
If there are two main acts like in the debate between slavoj zizek and Jordan Peterson I like it. It adds to the mood and it's kinda fair because everbody gets a chance to be applauded if they bring good points. Jäger lmao they're so annoying, this girl was very polite and it was a civil conversation between the two. Whenever Ben says a simple fact or statement, they cheer like he's just shut her down completely or something
Ben's responses were educational and made without rancor. So many on the Left use terms meant as pejoratives by simply adding the suffix "phobic" to them. Literally, the term phobic means "fear of", not "hatred of". Expressing an opinion of what is normal or abnormal does not make one a hateful person. One can "hate" cancer, without hating the victims of cancer.

I also am led to believe based on how she talked about Ben’s take on trans people that she believes that a man can be a woman and that a woman can be a man, so I would say another sign that she may not be intelligent is that she doesn’t understand basic biology. If all it takes to be intelligent is that you can speak normally then that is one reason why the world is how it is now. If you want to know how many genders are. Actually, there are only two genders (male or female). How to decide whether you are female or male. Just by looking at which part of genital do you pee. If you pee through penis, you are male. If you pee through vagina, you are female. If you have two genitals, then back to the basic. see through what genital do you pee. Even if you change yourself, by changing your penis to vagina, you are still called male. Or you are bored with your body, and you add a penis on your body, you are still called female. Sometimes I wish Ben’s supporters wouldn’t cheer when they do. Because Ben is a very smart, logical, fact based guy and there’s a chance he can get through to those who disagree. And we should respect the woman who stood up surrounded by people who disagree with her to try and learn in a civil way. So when Ben is calmly explaining a point like when he says something like a man is a man and woman is a woman, and all his supporters cheer, it feels unprofessional and like its her vs 1000 people instead of her vs Ben having a personal conversation. Not a big deal, but letting the person feel like it’s them and Ben alone having a chat feels like the best way to get through to people. Idk
This 👏 is 👏 how 👏 it's 👏 done 👏 Respect for one another despite disagreeing with one another. Discussion and dialogue is sorely missing from our society these days. Being okay with having differences in beliefs is sorely missing from society. Listening to one another is sorely missing from society.

Nothing intelligent or civil about being an uneducated moron trying to play a gotcha game with someone who’s view points she didn’t even comprehend. She put the responsibility on him to answer with complete accuracy and civility by trying to pin him into a corner with her personal definitions. Trying to box someone in to wrote responses based on incorrect assumptions and definitions is not civil and is no more having a true dialog than yelling at someone. She tried to use vague words (which aren’t vague btw transphobic literally means afraid of trans people) to twist his ideas. Given the time he should have had her scrap the word transphobic and had her describe exactly what she meant. She would have been unable to do so because if she were to have to put her thoughts into coherent language it would be clear she did not have ground to stand on. She didn’t even understand the language she was using and is therefore incapable of true dialogue. Before a discussion can happen we have to agree on what words mean without that there is no hope. she was a complete moron and if you think she sounded intelligent I feel bad for you
Where was her intelligence in saying at 8.14 "I dont know of any particular cases, where Ben has told me to literally go murder trans...". More people need to be like her? No way. I don’t want people who try to use a larger platform to push their blame onto. How could she seriously ask if Ben feels like he’s at fault for the people on the right acting out in evil ways because he has a stance and opinion on a topic.... he doesn’t control what other people do. He doesn’t say “hey everyone in the room, I’m correct no matter what I say and at the end of this I want you to get riled up and go beat up trans people”. Ben has never said anything remotely close to that. She wants him to take accountability of other people’s actions. Sure she was polite and civil but she’s an idiot for even trying to pin all that shit on Ben to begin with.
Most people are. The problem is the right-wing media plucks out the outliers and presents them as typical of the norm and you suckers buy it every time. This is why you’ve seen the lesbian in glasses who screamed “Nnoooooo” to the sky when Trump was elected more times than your own mum.

Very cool girl, I love that you can clearly see she's out there to find answers, instead of attacking/pushing own agenda. I wish there were more people like her.
Same. Generally I feel like politics are becoming more and more about "beating" the other side than to find solutions. But I see this in both sides tbh, take Ben's fans here in this video for example who would applaud no matter what he'd say, just to "show that libtard girl" or whatever. And the exact same goes for the iconic, screeching and offended left. But I'm happy to see that there are people - regardless of on which side they are on - who agree with me in these terms. (This kinda turned out longer than expected... sry)
Unfortunately I see the left is set on division...once we are divided, we are conquered...they dont practice what they preach, they know it's wrong & anger or a negative vibe is what comes out when honesty as a Christian, it's not my place to judge or be judgmental on many many issues...I'm the last person who could "throw the first stone" in judgmental ways...its a free country still so whatever, just stop shoving opinions down our throats be it TV or any social media...just live...simple...treat others as you want to be treated...dont let a few idiots work one up to the point of such anger & childish behavior...jus sayn, things I notice...that's all...

How to decide whether you are female or male. Just by looking at which part of genital do you pee.
If you pee through penis, you are male.
If you pee through vagina, you are female.
If you have two genitals, then back to the basic. see through what genital do you pee.

Although she enters the conversation disrespecting Ben with the notion that he's doing something bad with his words. For that I lost all respect for her even though she's proved infinitely more reasonable than any front hole hat wearing resistor I've seen in 2+ years.
More people need to be like this girl, doesn't scream, doesn't interrupt, presents her argument in an orderly fashion and is respectful.
The worst part about this video was the supporters clapping after he gave a good point. You do not have to make the debate more one sided than it already is, it also makes the girl feel more defensive and not wanting to accept what he says.
And deals with the brainless fools behind her just applauding after every sentence from Ben’s mouth, good for her to be able to stay up and debate.
people angry because they applaud? wth is wrong with that? did they ban ppl for coming to the event like some schools do? no.. did they stand and just yell stupid shit when they didnt agree? no...
they only applaud, if that is annoying to you then I feel sorry for you.

This conversation gives me hope. Two ppl discussing disagreeing and trying to understand each other. America needs more of this .
That's how people should debate. It's not about us versus them, it's about finding the middle ground and learning and growing
Her questions had nothing behind them they were truly seeking knowledge. Amazing

You should also check Ben’s debate with Blaire White (trans woman) they are both really polite and logical and it was good conversation to see
So sad . Right on brother ❤
Disagreements are not attacks.
This young lady did a fantastic job having a reasonable and open discussion with Ben. He of course, was Ben, and as always, calmly and smartly articulated his position.
Steve Cox We have little of this left. I remember when a discussion like this could be fun. I even remember having discussions and switching positions or we are discussing say abortion and before we started would ask which side do you want.
AND THE IDEA
I wish all debates were like this (minus the crowd)
Jersie Right, it would have been more enjoyable without the clapping
exactly like i dont want to call them yes men but Jesus please just shut your hands up and let the conversation flow
I think that’s the problem, inciting a debate. Maybe more conversations!
me too
You can always tell it’s going to be a stupid question when they are under 25…..
Shapiro is honest and very clear about all of this.
If we had more conversations like this, we would not live in the messed up world we live in.
Absolutely true!!
Exactly, it's very healthy.
Exactly
No, because the left doesn’t care, they have an agenda and don’t care what we have to say.
don’t worry bout it get real, the right wants debate and discussion, look at reality, it’s the left that censors and prevents speakers and free speech. Either you’re ignorant of the blatant facts or a troll.
She seems like she's trying to figure this out in an open minded manner. Encouraging stuff 👌
Undefined Lastname - lol exactly! If an African American thinks for themselves or even asks questions in a polite and civil way, then they have entered the Sunken Place!!! #UncleTomConfirmed
Undefined Lastname - how dare you, it's "zir" not "zer." You must be jailed.
Apple Juice Simpson yeah because calling Ben you're a transphobic is very "openminded" smh
It’s amazing how ignorant people only show that when they open their mouths.
Great job from Ben and the young lady. Disagreements should be held like this. Gender dysphoria is still in the DSM
