I like the use of drop shadow but if it's not uniform (which it doesn't appear to be) it shouldn't rotate with the object. The shadow should always be casting below the object.
Amazing video! I recently made the switch to Godot and had time to make a game for the Autumn Jam using it, the engines great fun and I really enjoyed working with it. I really like the game you made! I'm loving the portfolio of little vector mini-games your making, It'd be so cool to see them all assembled into 1 big party game (may be difficult to do since their all in different engines but fun idea nether the less!)
He's not dead! Hallelujah! By the way could you do a video with the history of your game studio? I'm curious how a small indie studio functions and how yours came to be.
This video is a masterclass in game development, packed with practical tips and insights from a true expert. It's so inspiring to see how experienced developers can utilize Godot to create polished and engaging games. I'm already itching to start my next project, inspired by your work. Who's with me?
@Goodgis No haha, I´m actually enjoy game development and starting my own project . It´s a fire to inspire people here, on youtube, and I´m actually doing it, making videos is life 🔥🔥🔥
You should make it so the each eye and mouth are individual parts then you can make it so that each run the balloon's eyes/mouth are mixed up. Could be funny having one sleepy eye, one dead eye and a sad mouth.
In my opinion, I dont like the cloud shader being there and moving in a direction where the background is just static. Plus, it looks too out of place. But I do like the game you made and very much love the artstyle.
1. When u release the full game and still have ideas plsssssssss make a dlc BECAUSE THIS GAME LOOKS SO GOOD! 2. Ur making really good pace for making this game in my opinion like when u said at the start of the vid the last update u gave us was 4 months ago I was like "ONLY FOUR MONTHS AGO!" because I thought it was almost a year ago. 3. Beta testers.. as in not demo people... can I be one... plsssssssssssss (if you can make me one comment on this comment telling me you will and how you can do it). 4. The boomerang guy he is good but when I saw you showing us him well u were kind of just jumping then shooting... that was it, I love it dont get me wrong but maybe add a lil more something to it, not that I would now what to do cause I'm smooooooth brain. (sorry if this bit was harsh it wasn't supposed to be, it was just supposed to be feedback). 5. if u want to, make a hardcore mechanic because like u said u were gonna make some bosses easier but some hardcore gamers like me want a hard challenge ( not that ur game wont be a challenge although it would be certainly fun!) anyways continuing, maybe even add some more moves to the bosses in hardcore mode. Thats it for me cant wait for the game! P.S I loved it when you said "I eventually figured out a better system and now the crows are the final boss of the game.. ur welcome". P.S.P.S this is a repost of a comment I made on the other vid because I only just saw it before this comment was made and so I wanted to make sure u got my feedback my posting on a later vid.
HI! I am a boardgame author but I follow your channel because your videos are a source of inspiration also for my type of passion. I recently created a small tabletop game that recreates the feeling of the game of 15 (you know, that little "chessboard" where you reposition the numbers in ascending order by sliding the various tiles) but in a minimal dungeon crawler style. I tried it out at a game creators convention and many told me it would be a perfect game or app. I just don't know where to start, or even who to ask if they want to develop it. do you have any advice for me?
That's a tough question. Your best bet is probably developing it yourself, as painful as that sounds. Most publishers are most interested in full release games or just shoot your game down because they don't like it. Also paying someone would be pretty expensive.
@@Goodgis I imagined that the two worlds, although they overlap in some points, are parallel. thanks for the advice, I will continue to watch your videos to understand how to approach video games creation!

I've been thinking about that! Like a WarioWare collection of all of them. That's a great idea. Also super happy to hear you enjoying Godot!

Oh my gosh it looks so good! Did you ever consider adding a string to the balloon?
Awesome to see your rendition of the game. I really like the cute style of the art.
I am gonna try making this in a day using my artstyle also. But why didn't you use the 8 directional movement code shown in the Godot Documentation?

THANK YOU SO MUCH I WAS SCROLLING AND THIS JUST GAVE ME A GAME IDEA THX
Love the video! Thanks for continually posting great video after great video. (And for inspiring me to make games!)
Can't wait for Dewdrop Dynasty.❤
I love how you use sonic music for a lot of your videos (I also just like your videos in general)
If godot has a thing for porting to the Wii, you should use the motion traking for the balloon, or the switch even
I tried making vector art for my Godot game, but there was so many issues with resizing the exported images.
2:19 No, the player here is the unity logo and the enemy is the godot logo XD
This is great!
But why come you didn't use:
direction = Input.get_vector("left", "right", "up", "down")
?

Hey Goodgis, Im trying to make a flying enemy and I was wondering how to make the tilting effect? Because it looks really nice and would fit well.
Any tips on how you created the triangles? Did you create a sprite then add that as the sprite for particles?
what is the programing language that used to make a game in godot ??
and also is there big famous games made by godot ??
XD I like the enemy placeholder!
How did you get the nice outlines? Is it in the texture or a shader??
what software do you use for creating your art?
I like the final product it looks good!
