The thing that makes coding in scratch so fun are its limitations. Because of its limitations, you are forced to think outside of the box and hence, you will be more proud of your creation.
I love the scratch videos, scratch is one of the tools that sparked my interest in gamedev, and it's awesome to see what people can do with a simple engine like scratch! :))
As a tip for the small but annoying clipping issues of sprites not being rendered fully: You can always add a transparent square to a desired svg and make it a little bigger so it covers the costume and a little bit more 🤝
The small scratch projects are so sweet! I love the simplicity of scratch, and with your style of graphics make them feel so polished and fun to look at. ❤️
Another great video! I love your approach to making scratch games, it's really inspiring to see. Also I don't know if you or crepe edited this video, but great music choices. Mario galaxy and donkey kong country tropical freeze are some of my favorite games :D
Oh man you took me back to the days at school when we had a class learning scratch. Me and a friend made a fun racing game which was awesome and the endless scrolling of meme projects was great😊 gotta hop back in now
I learned godot, did a game jam, and then never touched it again. I might get back into it with the cozy autumn jam. Even if it is just for the jam and then I stop again.
These scratch games are some of my fav vids on your channel! Please, do more! (Btw I really liked the monster raising game and it would be pretty cool if you updated it in another vid 😉)
Great video! Got a question too, I'm heavily considering the switch to Godot, have you got any suggestions for a good place to start? Any good tutorial series or a good introductory site? I'm hoping to use Godot for the Autumn Jam :D
Personally, I learned just by reading the manual and looking up videos for specific things. I'm actually thinking of creating a beginner course to Godot. Is that something you'd be interested in?
Some channels I would recommend are: Heartbeast - 2d tutorials and beginner tutorials Devworm - 2d tutorials and beginner tutorials GDquest - advanced tutorial Other channels to look into: GamesFromScratch - Has done quite a few tutorials on godot, but also covers other game engines Bitlytic - a small channel that has made a few godot tutorials Chris' Tutorials - makes tutorials for godot, and more recently covers godot 4 Thats just a few channels, I suggest checking out the top one first as they have more beginner friendly tutorials, but all the others I mentioned are also worth the time! Hope this helps :)) edit: also the user manual/Godot documentation might help as well! It can be found on the official site

Probably 2-3 days. But mostly because of the art.

use the scratch costume editor to make sprite costumes! [costumes can be used to animate]
Now, you should make more seasoned themed frog minigames and make frogs: but Wii sports

ty for making dis game
Keep Up Goodgis!

PLEASE I NEED THIS AS A TUTORIAL I HAD A PROJECT AT SCHOOL TO MAKE A GAME LIKE THIS 😢
I'm a game maker in scratch and the worst problem I encountered is platform physics, and 2d sidescrolling cameras in general
