- Here it is, team. Our first review on the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450! This bike is going to do big things I'd wager. From its new 452cc Sherpa engine to its well-thought-out build (and brilliant tool kit!) Royal Enfield is onto a winner here.
Head to www.onthrottle.co.nz for the full written review with heaps of pics from the Himalayas.

Looking forward to hearing more from riders like you in in the international press!
for some reason the speaking on this video had a left speaker bias(listening with headphones).
went back to balanced when the music started after the commentary.
Nice review, this Himalayan is a proper upgrade. And yes Manali is indeed mini himalayas😂
Haha thanks. The proper Himalayas must be even more mind-blowing 🤯
I am probably going to replace my T7 for this one.
For me the T7 is so difficult to pickup when it lies on the ground.
I am under the impression that the weight on this bike is better distributed.
Nobody has of course tested this ;-)
I can’t remember which outlet he was with, but one of my colleagues on the launch did test it after landing a wheelie onto ice. Might’ve been Australian Motorcycle News.
Did you also experience the throttle issue?
Throttle issue? Nope bike ran like a dream
The only issue I had (I mention it in the full vid which I’m trying to cut down from over an hour of epic scenery footage) is that the bolts holding my headlight loosened off after two days of abuse. Easy fix with the brilliant factory toolkit.
Im voting with my wallet as my deposit is already in! I’m even thinking of buying a second one to leave at my brothers place in UnZud to use on my visits from across the ditch.
Yes, but how much does it cost?
Pricing to be confirmed closer to its local arrival. We know it’ll be more than the current Himalayan but it will still be accessible price wise.
