- We built my son a Utility Trailer for his lawn care business. We will walk you through, step by step, on how we built the trailer. We will also talk about aluminum welding, soldering, brazing that we did.
How to make money as a teen - This new trailer is a moneymaker for teens! It might take some work, but my son has made A LOT of $ with this bicycle and utility trailer. He started by handing out flyers in our neighborhood, and it was slow to get going. With a good work ethic, he drummed up business with people who saw him working. Once he had this trailer and people saw him riding around to houses and working, the work was more than he could keep up with.

If u get more bolt washers, you can avoid the bike tire coming loose.

Great video. I am planning to make a cart to pull my dog and tools when I do jobs. Your clever use of aluminum and the reinforcements are a great idea. I am going to use the seat post attachment because of the weight. My dog will probably weigh 100+ pounds plus the tools. I am going to hook it up to an electric trike that can pull that weight.
To be honest it cost more than $5 but at least he is learning about business and hard work and not stuck playing video games

Great video thanks. I was trying to decide if my bike trailer should be hooked to the tire or have the bar go up and hook to the seat post. I believe I wil go with the seat post rather then the tire as I believe, after watching this video, that the seat bar may be better for towing heavy Bike trailers.

I saw the aluminum rods at the fair. Would like a follow up on how the corners hold up.
The upper pieces gave out on a couple corners and we just bolted them back together. But for the most part they held pretty well.
what kind of solder are you using? I brecently bought some sticks with some additional flux, but they are like 50 bugs for ten sticks.
