Koi Progression / Moving Koi Fall of 2022
I go through some of my Koi and we look at their growth and color changes. For some of the older fish, we can see a two-year comparison, and for the younger fish up to a year comparison.
I always love seeing comparison videos of Koi and I hope that you enjoy this one.

Pond Clean-up and Water Hyacinth
Переглядів 3,6 тис.Рік тому
I will go over the benefits of having Water Hyacinth in your pond. Though the plant is banned in some countries it is great to use in your pond in a climate like Oregon. If you can't have this plant let us know where you are in the comments. If you use this plant also, leave a comment. My kid brother went playing with his friends down a river this Summer. And, he returned home with two small fishes in a jar. Now, he already has fishes-friend and I'm worried about what this tilapia eats because we've never had a tilapia before. 😣

wouldn't shotgun be better solution? why build beautiful pond, grow beautiful fish and then slap ugly net on top of it. just fail.

Thanks for the video! I have 10 cats!! I am tired of cleaning out the kitty litter boxes, so I have made my cats a bathroom with their own toilet that has a wide seat rim just for them with auto flush. Now I will start teaching them how to use it. Your video gave me some great ideas and more motivation!

So great and full overall? And I appreciate you sharing, but reducing the size of your pipe does not decrease pressure. It increases pressure. So I think either part of your explanations missing or I'm missing something sorry. This is voice to text while driving. If it didn't come out right , just pump it and I'll correct it later

great tutorial - just a thought though, throw a sweatshirt or damper blanket on the line between you and the most likely breakpoint (or on both ends). Last thing you want is a steel cable whipping back at you!

1:55 ❤ it’s such a great feeling getting something dirty, and turning it into some thing immaculate only clean and useful. We just dug a 1500 gallon. Pond bought a cheap liner off of Amazon, leaked on the first day. Waiting on the arrival for another one. Have no idea what we’re doing. But I know it needs a filter. I love your video. Great job.

Do you have issues with your 2nd filter not moving water in the the pond, while the 1st filter is pushing water into it? Currently my 2nd filter does not drain into the pond fast enough.

I inherited a 1000G pond that was never kept up with for the 15 years since was installed. The muck is several feet deep, I have been using microbe lift in various products for years trying to dissolve the muck there with no luck as I have no time to drain the pond and clean by hand. I just started the barley extract, so hope it helps clear the water. My question is, should I throw in like couple inches of gravel ontop of the much to create protective layer to stop as much kicking up into the water or this a useless idea?

If you used pillow fill on top, would that collect more of the sludge and allow you to pull it out for quick hose out when cleaning? Just starting, I know there is a name for the white stuffing in pillows...but...I can't think of it now.

Rule of thumb two pipes to 2 exit pipes of the same diameter as the forced intake pipe should be used. Examp!e: 2 inch pipe pushing water in with pressure and 2 2 inch pipes excitinging water out by natural flow. This will prevent overflow.

    • @Honda3737gs
      @Honda3737gs 2 місяці тому

What about if the incoming pipe was 2" and you had x1 3" outflow pipe?

I just watched this video and really enjoyed it. I can appreciate it when you can move such large, heavy items by yourself. I was especially impressed with you being able to move the 10 foot boulder, that is exactly what I'm looking to do. Thanks for posting and passing along this information.👍

    • @paul-andrelarose3389

Excellent video! The apparently "small" boulders that I wanted to move turned out to be grossly "overweight" and the strap method that you propose is a fine example of using one's brain instead of one's muscles. Thanks. 2024/05/31. Ontario, Canada.
