Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- Here is another indoor houseplant tour, featuring my living and dining room area, in my downtown Toronto small condo. I’ll also show you guys how I go about styling my plants and placing them around my condo. The challenged with being a crazy plant person living in a small space, is wanting to have a lot of plants, and at the same time making sure your place doesn’t look cluttered and more importantly ensuring that your plants are placed in an area that will get the lighting they need to thrive.
Hopefully you enjoyed this plant tour and plant styling video. Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and if you haven’t done so, subscribe.
Enjoy

What do you guys think? Can I add more plants without making my place look cluttered?! Let me know some of your ideas.
😊👍🏼 great video! Yes you can definitely add more. 👏👏Just keep uniformity with white pots and go vertical. And don't forget white space around the plants gives the illusion of less clutter. I live in NY where space is limited so we just go vertical w our plants. 😊🌿
Yeah if you find any place left unoccupied then you should add some more plants..good luck for finding more space😃😃
You have so much real estate above your window for some hanging plants. Umbra sells some really nice modern minimalist hanging pots:)
You can always add more plants! Your house looks really cool as is though.
There is Never to much plants!
We have a saying in Iceland which is used when people ask if you want more dessert, another kiss or something like that where the answer is probably going to be yes because the thing is so good. The saying is "maður getur alltaf bætt á sig blómum" which literally means "you can always add more flowers/plants" that is my answer. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk 🌿😅
Christian: This is my raphidora tetrasperma, probably the fastest growing plant I have ever owned
Me, looking at me very slow growing tetrasperma: Did you hear that, his is the fastest growing ... what do you have to say for yourself ...
Heheh
😂😂😂😂
🤭
fertilizer haha
😂😂😂
It needs the right potting mix and environment, and lots, lots of fertilizer to be fast growing. Likely you didn't give it the optimum growing condition, or didn't fertilize enough.
You’ve done a great job styling and it doesn’t look cluttered at all. There is more space in your prime real estate area.
tiesha glover Thanks Tiesha. Lol yes more space for plants. I can’t wait to get more.
Yes you can! They always said, there's always room for a dessert and for us plant lovers, there's always room for another plant. I love your plants , they are beautiful and healthy. Stay safe, Christian!
Alva Serrano Lol. I will always make room for plants. 😊 Thanks Alva, stay safe as well.
Lol, good for you! I wish we are neighbors, I will invite you to have a party plants every weekend. Thank you, Christian.
LOVED this video. It’s just so similar to my style. I’m a plant lover with a minimalist house and style so I prefer all white planters or even woven baskets for my plants. It’s interesting seeing how someone with similar style keeps plants from looking cluttered.
Would love to just sit on your sofa with a coffee and just stare at all your plants 🙈😂
Holly Lol...😆
Me too🌿🥰
I think that the bare wall to the left of your string of hearts would look really nice with some simple floating shelves (covered in plants of course). great video! my favorite part was actually how you clearly showed what areas are considered which types of lighting because everyone always says "bright indirect" but it's hard to know exactly what that means. thanks!
Lucia Feltovich that night work instead of a full bookshelf that I was thinking of putting there. Thanks for the suggestion and feedback. I know what you mean about lighting. I’m thinking of doing a basic plant care video that shows exactly lighting and watering means. 😊
@@CrazyPlantGuy oh my god yes please your videos are super clear and i think it would be a very helpful video for a lot of people!
I think you have struck a great balance of plants and style without it looking like a nursery✌️You have room for floating shelves but I think it looks amazing as is😍
Your plants are very tastefully displayed and healthy. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Peggy. :)
I've always loooooved plants but i recently got really into it (i think it's because of quarantine and have time to buy lots of plants; current status 17 plants in two weeks) and your videos are helping me a ton! Learning so much from you man!
House with plants are so cute. Love it . Thanks for Sharing.
Yes to more plants indoor!😊I love love love your string of hearts! It's my favourite ever!Mine grew like crazy in two years!
“UA-cam already knows you love plants with your viewing history” HAAAA
Elfi Goga 😆
I subbed as soon as he said that LOL
THAT MADE ME CLICK SUBSCRIBE HAHAHAHA
Ya got me there! 😂
You can definitely add more if you wanted to! Your collection is stunning and absolutely love your home. They all look so perfect where you have placed them!
Thank you for brightening up the day 😊
You have SUCH a beautiful, peaceful space 🌱🌿
LeanaCecelia Thank you. 😊
Love how passionate you are about your plants
definitely am loving the monstera and bird of paradise! maybe you could add floating shelves on the wall for more plants? 🌱💚
Wow..each plant is doing so well ..I don't understand how do you manage to take care of so many plants that too all perfect..its so refreshing to see your plants..👍👍
I love your plants and decor, especially the plants that look like a "green living wall". Such a cool, relaxing environment.
Love you, always come back to all your videos
Man, I wasn't actively looking for plants but now that philo Berkin has me intrigued! Philos and pothos are my favorite house plants!
Esteban Martinez haha. I know what you mean.. the more I look at it the more like, damn. 😍
Beautiful plants . I love the way you design them.
Thank you. 😊
I’m sure your neighbors luv u! And if ever they complain about the tunes-perhaps they’d like to have a plant as a peace offering! Lol 👏🏽🎼
I especially like your plant arrangement on your computer stand, so cool.
I love your enthusiasm and info. Thankyou
I feel the same, we love our plants but not the clutter🥰🌱😛
You have a great style going on with your space, lots of plants but they have their place. Still lots of living space and it doesn’t look crowded 🙌
Nemo needs room lol
Congrats on closing in on 100k, I’ve been here before you had 10k, you have a great channel and I’m so glad that you are posting more often😌the quarantine is helping 😷
Elizabeth Greco-Nieves Nemo owns the entire place. 😆 Thanks so much Elizabeth for being with me throughout my houseplant journey. Always great sharing the experience with all of you, especially all my OG subscribers.
Christian lol 😂 it’s Nemo’s placebos just send the mtg payment 😛you’re very welcome. Stay safe, here in NY it’s pretty scarey. Plants keep us sane🌱
I really enjoyed your plant tour. It doesn't look cluttered at all!
I love the string of hearts I think I want the one in my apartment :) it gives it jungle look
Niceness..i love natural green
Love your videos. Not because I'm bored. I think my home is a bit cluttered with plants. When I had people over they said they felt like they were sitting in a jungle. Plus my very loud canary. I have a big south facing living room window so it is loaded with plants, and my coffee table. 2 bedrooms also face south and have plants hanging in the windows. I don't have sun in the north side at all. So just some sansevaria. We moved here 6 months ago, so with spring coming eventually, we have snow today, I hope to get some shelves maybe? I also have grow lights in the basement with lots of plants, but I can't enjoy them as much. Stay safe! Glad I have a hobby. 😁
Love the furry feather .. purchased a healthy one last week .. stunning and vibrant
Agree. And they seem to be a lot easier than some of the other Calatheas 😆
Wow Christian, I love how you have styled all of your plants, and I think once those in the corners get bigger you will have your tropical vibe going on. I have over 180 plants in less than 800 square feet, and it is always a challenge to make sure they get good light especially in the winter, so this last winter I finally got some grow lights and I am always looking for more. I do have windows that face North and East and west and my back windows are the south facing windows. Hopefully I will get my back porch added onto and then I can put a big window on the back wall and then I will have more space for those sun loving plants. Thanks for sharing during these crazy times I really enjoy the videos and sometimes it's what I do the most, binge watch my plant tubers. Take care and stay safe and healthy, sending a big hug and love, bye for now.
This summer I had a whole lotta thrips on my bird of paradise. I couldn’t find out what they were at the time because everyone was only talking about mealy bugs and spider mites.
I ended up just placing my plant in the shower and I rinsed it thoroughly for about three times hoping to drown them down the drain. Fortunately they were all gone and I never saw them again. 😁
I played the alto sax in school, from 5th grade until I graduated! It was my passion and literally how I survived those awful years😂
In my experience, aloe vera juice from a leaf acts as a rooting hormone in water. I've recently used some to promote roots in Pothos, and other cuttings in water. :) Very nice plant styling.
intlMind oooh I’m going to try that next time. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I've heard one story about someone who repotted their hoya kerrii after years of only having one leaf, but that might have been a legend, lol. I got a whole plant and it's surprised me at how quickly it can grow. Such a cute little plant.
I love your videos! So glad I found your channel during quarantine. Tempted to go out and buy plants but this will do it for now until quarantine ends.
You should wiggle your fiddle leaf fig and train it to grow a thicker trunk. Eventually it won’t need the stake anymore. There are some videos about it if you are interested
Haha Thank you. I know what you mean, I miss going out and checking out plants. Until then I’m going to just look at mine for now. Haha
😍your strings of hearts are so beautiful. 😊
Lovely plants love to see all of it!tnx for sharing your plants!
This video has motivated me to decorate my room with plants, thank you so much for the video! Your house looks very stylish with those plants. 😃
Beautiful and healthy different plants thanks for sharing
The silver dragon 😍😍😍😍
Definitely need to do a video on where you shop for all those amazing planters.
Holy shit that string of hearts is breathtaking! I stare at it every video I watch lol your place looks fabulous. You could totally put some plants on the wall behind your couch!!
Having white pots helps with the declutter look. I feel white pots makes the plant itself the focal point. I use all white/light cream colored pots for all of my 50 plants.
Hey Crazy Plant Guy, I just started watching your channel, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it !!!! Thank you, I REALLY need plant help. I'm also thrilled to have found a Canadian plant channel!
You take great care of your plants , l know they love you because they are so healthy and happy
Thank you. 😊
😊
Thank you for sharing your beautiful world of plants......absolutely amazing! I too am trying to make my living room a greenhouse :-)
The plant you're falling for
I love that string of hearts and all your plants are happy, you have 10 green thumbs ☺️
Julieta Cabrera Thank you. Haha 10 green thumbs, like that. 😊
Love your string of heart
Live your plant pendant light
Wow verry beautiful houseplants 👌👌🌿🌿🍀wonderful really good collection dear friend 👌👌excellent video really new friend 👏👏
I love how you styled everything!! It’s not clutter as well!! I also live in condo so we get light on only one side of our place.
There is nothing crazy about you. Very tasteful plant placement. Greetings from Australia.
Thank you for these videos especially during a time like this 😘
janine potts you’re welcome, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
8:29 I’ll probably prefer watching my plants than TV !!! I too I too 😆😆
I feel sick how obsessed I am though not a huge collector or anything I just stare at plants n nature for hours n hours n have no caught up on any shows or TV as a result 🙈🙈🙈
I love plants!! While cooking 👩🏽🍳🍽🥂☕️🌻🙏🏽
Oboy you still have lots of space! go shopping
'm not into the cluttered plant look either. I love my plants but I do want to keep it reasonable. I have 1,200 sq. ft. condo and my condo is also facing south and I have floor to ceiling tall glass sliders on my sunroom with lots of light available there.. I move my plants out to my sunroom in the summer months and then back indoors into my "plant corner" where they get nice indirect light and they are in the heated part of my condo. I am happy to hear bout your special grow lights. I wil check that out on your link - thank you for sharing that!! I LOVE the green shamrock plant. I had both green and purple but the green died and I gave the purple one away to a friend.
Great video! Showing how you utilize the layout of your space is awesome to watch and so Helpful!
I just got a Thai Constellation! He’s a big boy (sorta cheated lol~they didn’t have small babies like yours was!) but OMG THAI MONSTERAS ARE ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! Your baby ones are lovely and growing! That String of Hearts! Dang!
So happy you are making these videos-they’re so good and I do just sit around half the time watching plant videos lol
Hoya Honey Dew Lol, it’s ok I’m sure if I would have found a Thai that’s bigger I would have went for that one too. 😆 they are a beauty for sure. Thanks for watching plant videos, love sharing my plant journey. 🌿
Waaaaoooow ....cantik cantik bunganya👍👍👍🌷☘️🌱🌿😍😍
Nice place u got there. Not too cluttered, just right. Luv watching yr video. Have agd day n stay safe...👍
Thank you. Have a good one as well.
The string of hearts stole my heart. My goodness it's so voluminous! I saw an oxalis at a plant shop recently and I want it. It is edible right?
Kenneth L Gabriel nice. I’m pretty sure the leaves are edible .
You are lucky to have so much light!
Thanks, yeah I think so too. Especially a south facing window too. Helps a lot with all my plants .
For part of my sunroom window, I want to make a living curtain. To do so I will mount a rectangular planter equipped with a water catcher about 2 inches below the already installed curtain rod. In this planter I want at least 15 jade pothos, it is literally all I dream about!
Esteban Martinez wow, that sounds so cool and beautiful, can totally see it.
@@CrazyPlantGuy thanks! when its fully setup and the growing phase is in order, I'll tag you on insta. I'm currently in the propogation phase. 😎
I love plants....
🤣🤣🤣 how did you know ? Love plant videos, yes nothing else to do.🤣❤️🤣❤️
Beautiful!!! Elegant. Would please make a video on the pots and planters? Current style? Color selection and where to buy?
Awesome Video !!
Love all your plants
ooh i love your zz raven 😍
Your place is gorgeous!
Very nice thank you!
I love all the plants, thanks for the video 🌱
Your plant containers are beautiful. I struggle with finding affordable plant containers
I can never find the right size!
Your pothos is so close to the south window. Mine seemed to get dry spots on the leaves or deformation. I’m wondering if I was maybe under watering it? Do you water before the soil dries out much?
Definitely not cluttered. I love it. Next is to hang plants on the walls! That’s what I’ve started doing!
I like ur channel. From India🇮🇳
Your condo is very nice and well decorated. Where did you get the wine rack? Your plants are beautiful.
Lovely decoration
Love your tasteful decor style, plant style, stylish condo! But worry about that wine in the warm sun, lol! Definitely add more plants though.
Thanks Susan, The wine rack although gets bright light, the sun rays don't reach that further back so the temperature is still good for them. :)
Him: obviously, I didn’t want to put too many plants here because I didn’t want to make it too cluttered...
Me (new to plants): that looks cluttered
I love that you only use white pots ♥️
It's my ting ;). Wanted the plants to pop more and not have the take away from the beautify of the plant.
Recommend replace sofa with bean bags seats to make room for more plants.
That’s a great idea 😆
😂😂😂😂😂
8th!!! Hahaha. Thanks for this vid Christian! 😊
So nice
So nice...
Yup..I’m those that just placed them everywhere ..:)
nothing wrong with that. I’m sure I’ll get to a point where ima either need a bigger place or just place my plants wherever there’s space. 😆
Watching your videos makes me want to buy more plants lol
Haha, just buy responsibly. 😆
Very nice
Love your plants! 😊
Thank you.
That hoya kerrii will give you a runner, but it's just veeeeerrry veeerry very long, for a non variegated one it takes a good 2 to 3 years, maybe it's a bit longer for variegated ones
@crazy plant guy
Do you mind sharing where you got your wine storage in the entrance loved the size and design of it ! Thanks @crazy plant guy
Thanks. I got it from CB2 😁
How do you take care of gnats and other flying critters on indoor plants ? Any tips ?
Your home is a plant sanctuary :)
Sasha Dasha thank you so much. It does feel like one especially during quarantine times 😊
I just discovered your channel and I love it
Thank you and welcome. 😊
I like how it doesn't matter that some of the plastic pots dont fit. This slways bothered me byt not anymore!
J'aime beaucoup merci
7:10 mine grew a full plant after a bit of two years. Stay patient :)
That’s awesome.
