😊👍🏼 great video! Yes you can definitely add more. 👏👏Just keep uniformity with white pots and go vertical. And don't forget white space around the plants gives the illusion of less clutter. I live in NY where space is limited so we just go vertical w our plants. 😊🌿
We have a saying in Iceland which is used when people ask if you want more dessert, another kiss or something like that where the answer is probably going to be yes because the thing is so good. The saying is "maður getur alltaf bætt á sig blómum" which literally means "you can always add more flowers/plants" that is my answer. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk 🌿😅
Christian: This is my raphidora tetrasperma, probably the fastest growing plant I have ever owned Me, looking at me very slow growing tetrasperma: Did you hear that, his is the fastest growing ... what do you have to say for yourself ... Heheh
It needs the right potting mix and environment, and lots, lots of fertilizer to be fast growing. Likely you didn't give it the optimum growing condition, or didn't fertilize enough.
Yes you can! They always said, there's always room for a dessert and for us plant lovers, there's always room for another plant. I love your plants , they are beautiful and healthy. Stay safe, Christian!
LOVED this video. It’s just so similar to my style. I’m a plant lover with a minimalist house and style so I prefer all white planters or even woven baskets for my plants. It’s interesting seeing how someone with similar style keeps plants from looking cluttered.
I think you've done a great job balancing everything. I've seen a lot of plant people on youtube, and their homes just seem so overrun with plants. As you said, yours isn't cluttered, and I'd actually love to have a place decorated like yours.
I think that the bare wall to the left of your string of hearts would look really nice with some simple floating shelves (covered in plants of course). great video! my favorite part was actually how you clearly showed what areas are considered which types of lighting because everyone always says "bright indirect" but it's hard to know exactly what that means. thanks!
Lucia Feltovich that night work instead of a full bookshelf that I was thinking of putting there. Thanks for the suggestion and feedback. I know what you mean about lighting. I’m thinking of doing a basic plant care video that shows exactly lighting and watering means. 😊
I think you have struck a great balance of plants and style without it looking like a nursery✌️You have room for floating shelves but I think it looks amazing as is😍
You can definitely add more if you wanted to! Your collection is stunning and absolutely love your home. They all look so perfect where you have placed them! Thank you for brightening up the day 😊
I've always loooooved plants but i recently got really into it (i think it's because of quarantine and have time to buy lots of plants; current status 17 plants in two weeks) and your videos are helping me a ton! Learning so much from you man!
such a fun tour! i appreciate all the insight into how you arranged your plants. i like that you really live with them, as opposed to some people whose homes are just greenhouses ft. people, or a home ft. plants as decor (and sometimes sticking them places where they won't be happy).
Wow..each plant is doing so well ..I don't understand how do you manage to take care of so many plants that too all perfect..its so refreshing to see your plants..👍👍
Love your videos. Not because I'm bored. I think my home is a bit cluttered with plants. When I had people over they said they felt like they were sitting in a jungle. Plus my very loud canary. I have a big south facing living room window so it is loaded with plants, and my coffee table. 2 bedrooms also face south and have plants hanging in the windows. I don't have sun in the north side at all. So just some sansevaria. We moved here 6 months ago, so with spring coming eventually, we have snow today, I hope to get some shelves maybe? I also have grow lights in the basement with lots of plants, but I can't enjoy them as much. Stay safe! Glad I have a hobby. 😁
"If I were a plant and could still see the sky, I get nice bright light.." thanks CrazyPlantGuy! I never really know what my plants are thinking (if it is too dim)
I feel the same, we love our plants but not the clutter🥰🌱😛 You have a great style going on with your space, lots of plants but they have their place. Still lots of living space and it doesn’t look crowded 🙌 Nemo needs room lol Congrats on closing in on 100k, I’ve been here before you had 10k, you have a great channel and I’m so glad that you are posting more often😌the quarantine is helping 😷
Elizabeth Greco-Nieves Nemo owns the entire place. 😆 Thanks so much Elizabeth for being with me throughout my houseplant journey. Always great sharing the experience with all of you, especially all my OG subscribers.
Wow Christian, I love how you have styled all of your plants, and I think once those in the corners get bigger you will have your tropical vibe going on. I have over 180 plants in less than 800 square feet, and it is always a challenge to make sure they get good light especially in the winter, so this last winter I finally got some grow lights and I am always looking for more. I do have windows that face North and East and west and my back windows are the south facing windows. Hopefully I will get my back porch added onto and then I can put a big window on the back wall and then I will have more space for those sun loving plants. Thanks for sharing during these crazy times I really enjoy the videos and sometimes it's what I do the most, binge watch my plant tubers. Take care and stay safe and healthy, sending a big hug and love, bye for now.
Good Morning, Christian. Heh! Not only do you love plants but you enjoy wine--you'd make the perfect neighbour. Your plants obviously have no complaints about the saxaphone. I'm guessing, for the most part, they're pretty much jazz fans. Your video was a nice welcome to another stay-at-home day. Cheers. Darryl
I love seeing all of your plants! I just took a cutting off my friend's plant that they have had for YEARS. This will be my first houseplant. I normally grow food.
Love your videos, I’m a new plant mom and often look to your video for guidance. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge/experience. Can you do a video on how to car for plants that have been attacked by pests. I apologize if I’m asking for a video you’ve already shared. Again. Thanks so much for all you do.
Holy shit that string of hearts is breathtaking! I stare at it every video I watch lol your place looks fabulous. You could totally put some plants on the wall behind your couch!!
you are soooo cute! Thanks for your videos especially on these times we are all on a lockdown. watching you became my hobby. Greetings from New Zealand!
Hey Crazy Plant Guy, I just started watching your channel, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it !!!! Thank you, I REALLY need plant help. I'm also thrilled to have found a Canadian plant channel!
alright, that's it, I'm ordering a birkin !!;) I was kinda holding myself back from purchasing it from Etsy, I was like it's not that stunning, but after watching your video, I'm convinced, I need one now , love your collection, tfs !! ;)
I love your videos! So glad I found your channel during quarantine. Tempted to go out and buy plants but this will do it for now until quarantine ends.
You should wiggle your fiddle leaf fig and train it to grow a thicker trunk. Eventually it won’t need the stake anymore. There are some videos about it if you are interested
8:29 I’ll probably prefer watching my plants than TV !!! I too I too 😆😆 I feel sick how obsessed I am though not a huge collector or anything I just stare at plants n nature for hours n hours n have no caught up on any shows or TV as a result 🙈🙈🙈
I've heard one story about someone who repotted their hoya kerrii after years of only having one leaf, but that might have been a legend, lol. I got a whole plant and it's surprised me at how quickly it can grow. Such a cute little plant.
This summer I had a whole lotta thrips on my bird of paradise. I couldn’t find out what they were at the time because everyone was only talking about mealy bugs and spider mites. I ended up just placing my plant in the shower and I rinsed it thoroughly for about three times hoping to drown them down the drain. Fortunately they were all gone and I never saw them again. 😁
Great video! Showing how you utilize the layout of your space is awesome to watch and so Helpful! I just got a Thai Constellation! He’s a big boy (sorta cheated lol~they didn’t have small babies like yours was!) but OMG THAI MONSTERAS ARE ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! Your baby ones are lovely and growing! That String of Hearts! Dang! So happy you are making these videos-they’re so good and I do just sit around half the time watching plant videos lol
Hoya Honey Dew Lol, it’s ok I’m sure if I would have found a Thai that’s bigger I would have went for that one too. 😆 they are a beauty for sure. Thanks for watching plant videos, love sharing my plant journey. 🌿
In my experience, aloe vera juice from a leaf acts as a rooting hormone in water. I've recently used some to promote roots in Pothos, and other cuttings in water. :) Very nice plant styling.
Having white pots helps with the declutter look. I feel white pots makes the plant itself the focal point. I use all white/light cream colored pots for all of my 50 plants.
My fiddle leaf tree just died on me 😭 it had only one year. If you water yours once a month then definitely I overwatered mine 🥲 but the plant seller said it would be fine 2 times a week. We have up to 40 Celsius in summer, but I kept it inside by the window, with air conditioner at minimum 22 Celsius. Thanks for showing your set up! Really need help cause I'm definitely being the crazy plant lady 😆 and it's getting hard to find places for them
Your pothos is so close to the south window. Mine seemed to get dry spots on the leaves or deformation. I’m wondering if I was maybe under watering it? Do you water before the soil dries out much? Definitely not cluttered. I love it. Next is to hang plants on the walls! That’s what I’ve started doing!
Your plants are just beautiful and really add so much to your decor. They must like the light very much! I wondered if you could provide the name of where you picked up the nice console table under your TV. I'm looking for one and haven't yet found the right one. This one looks like a does a good job of displaying your plants beautifully! Thank you!!
What do you guys think? Can I add more plants without making my place look cluttered?! Let me know some of your ideas.
😊👍🏼 great video! Yes you can definitely add more. 👏👏Just keep uniformity with white pots and go vertical. And don't forget white space around the plants gives the illusion of less clutter. I live in NY where space is limited so we just go vertical w our plants. 😊🌿
Yeah if you find any place left unoccupied then you should add some more plants..good luck for finding more space😃😃
You have so much real estate above your window for some hanging plants. Umbra sells some really nice modern minimalist hanging pots:)
You can always add more plants! Your house looks really cool as is though.
There is Never to much plants!

Me too🌿🥰
You’ve done a great job styling and it doesn’t look cluttered at all. There is more space in your prime real estate area.
tiesha glover Thanks Tiesha. Lol yes more space for plants. I can’t wait to get more.
Yes you can! They always said, there's always room for a dessert and for us plant lovers, there's always room for another plant. I love your plants , they are beautiful and healthy. Stay safe, Christian!

Thanks Susan, The wine rack although gets bright light, the sun rays don't reach that further back so the temperature is still good for them. :)
Definitely need to do a video on where you shop for all those amazing planters.
