I started watching you a year ago and I never realized you only liked dark things for a long time. I always love the many hippie/boho decor you have bc they brighten up your space and make it super cozy! I want to do that for my space as well!
Agreed, you can do WHATEVER feels good for you and what you can stand looking at every day. And sometimes your home or 'building structure' allows you to experiment and change it up a little. I find I change it up when I change my sofa covers every season (from the warmer months to the colder months) as I go from blue n white floral in spring/summer to bright deep red in autumn/winter. I love re-styling that way. Change is as good as a holiday and it really helps me with my seasonal depression too.
Aesthetic ; is just that, aesthetic.. it’s something beautiful and pleasing to the eyes.. has nothing to do with curated nonsense or having one colour only or a themed look.. if everything goes together and looks beautiful, it is aesthetic.. yours is very aesthetic

I used to only use terra cotta pots-remember that I have over 500 plants-and now, after seeing you use clear plastic pots because you tend to underwater, I have started making the transition myself. I've become a little overwhelmed and started under-watering my poor plants. :( The plastic pots are doing great. I've also started using cover pots and have made some crochet covers. I'm only at 3:34 of the video, but I had to write this before I finished watching, hahaha.

Oh my word I saw your cubby shelves (white) I have a bigger one from IKEA, I never thought to take out some of the baskets to put books in them! I got so excited I had to stop the video and go rearrange things! I moved last year and I’ve been in a total rut not wanting to deal with making decisions. I started with 4 plants I drove across the country with, and in the last few months I started adding and now I think I have at least 30. I’m totally eclectic about my collection, it’s all what mood I’m in when looking for stuff, because my moods are all over the place, so are my aesthetics I have window decals that throw rainbows, 🌈 and atomically correct anatomy planters, skull, heart, creepy if you will, it goes great with my bright rainbow style I have mixed throughout. I’m fascinated with the image of flowers growing from a skull, life after death, the circle of life etc I swear you already did a video like this,
@@wildfern I’m not a big Hoya fan either, but I need that one ☺️ My favorite is the carnosa compacta. I had a big, full bushy one that touch the ground from about 3 1/2 feet up. I loved it so much! They do take a while to grow that large, but well worth the wait. I love your variegated one 😮
