I love the relationship you have with Muffin! It is absolutely adorable to see! Thank you for sharing styling tips, I've definitely reached the point in my plant journey where I want my plants to look intentional and not like a hoarders nest!
Muffin is THE CUTEST🤗 I think that when you have a black cat of your own you'll always have such a soft spot for them😊 They just don't get the love they deserve!❤
10:50 : um bayyyyybeee, i am twice your age, have plants as old as you and I am STILL learning to decorate with plants. I move them and arrange them all the time. They keep changing shape :) I find a new cachepot and the seasons change-- dont ever stop playing plants !
I feel slightly attacked by the plant hoarder mismatched pots vibe lol But to be fair, I’m a chaotic plant mom, just watch my last plant tour 😂 I like my home to reflect my brain
At 14:26 O. M. G. Sooo funny. I’ve heard people get aggressive when we find something extremely cute. Not sure why but I know, with my cats, I often feel like smushing them. With cute chubby babies I always want a bite. 😂😂😂.
Hi Nick, I think you've done a great job with plant styling and incorporating your plants into your home. I also saw you spotlighted on Summer Rayne's channel, so cool. Luv ya both!!
Love your place, love your plants, love your channel, love you. I got some great ideas for my little hole in the wall. Thanks! My cat Sylvester loves them too!
14:22 you are awesome. Not sure if her name is Muffin but wanted to mention we call our cats muffins. Because they are muffins. How sweet you two are. Love your videos and I always leave with knowing something I didn’t know before. Thank you.
I think plant styling is a great way to feel content with your indoor jungle when you are (mostly) done with acquisitions! I am in the process of moving mine outside for the season, but I'm going to make sure they're still displayed nicely.
I love the way you explain your game plan in design, intentionally un- intentional. Even with all the gorgeous plants you have your space doesn't look cluttered it has a nice flow of energy. I'm also loving your kitty! He reminds me of my little Dude. Great video, great recommendations!
I missed seeing Muffin when Summer Rayne Oakes visited you! So glad to see her know! Love your home, thanks for the tips, definitely feeling the 3 vibe :)
This is THE best plant rooms/homes I've seen since discovering this through minimalist videos. I love love love the arrangements, the variety, the natural light. Green is my favorite color. I wonder if all of these were individual purchases or clippings from other plants?
I can't agree more with staggering hanging plants. My spider plants spend the summer outside in "like" pots. I brought them in last winter and hung them in my bedroom in front of my sliding glass door. I spent the last few months looking at gallows. So happy they are outside again.
I thought your wall shelf with hanging vines was absolutely beautiful! But the way love the painting too. Very much appreciate getting the names of good varieties
Target sells these lil wooden “boxes” that work amazingly for staggering plants on surface space. It’s a pack of 2-3 (I call em plant stools) for $5. It’s just 3 pieces of wood connected at 2 90degree angles. I love them.
I love all the ideas 💡. I especially love what you did with the air plants. I'm going to try that because I have a perfect spot near my Norfolk Island Pine. Thank you.
Nick - I’d love to hear how you use your “wall pocket” planters… do they have drainage, do you plant in the vessel, or use them as a cache pot somehow? I bought one, but stumped on how best to use it!!
Hi Nick! I think you should add 3 lower light housplants on the top of your white shelves in your bedroom on top! Like chinese evergreens or pothos or rhipsalis....? You have so much space up there! Ok love all your style and apartment! See you next time!
You have done a great job styling your new place. Saw the video you did with Summer. Yay Nick!!! You have such a beautiful space. Learned a lot from you about different plants and care. Thanks so much for sharing such great content
Hi nick! I like the organization of your house plants... It's very relaxing... Hope I can organize mine in the future... I am starting in photos right now.. Hopefully i will have many in the future.
I'll never decorate as good as you and I'm ok with that 😆😆😆 you have some awesome ideas I never kno where to start with this stuff but sparked some creative juices thanx
Omg just decided to take a break from sitting and staring at my plant situation, feeling overwhelmed about how to style them in my new space. Your video popped up right as opened yt😎 Thank you so much! Love your energy, which reflects in your gorgeous abode💖
Absolutely loved seeing you featured on Summer Rayne Oakes series!!! You deserve being recognized at that level💚💚💚p.s. just missed seeing an appearance by Muffin❤️😻❤️
Hello, Nick! Just a suggestion; that middle window in your livingroom that you mentioned you weren't sure what to do w/it, how about making a shelf consisting of three pieces? One top piece and two side pieces, glue/nail them together and you have a very simple shelf? Idk, I got that idea from Jeff @ #Everything_Plants who made one for his livingroom window. He has a great channel if you haven't seen it. Thanks for an awesome video and I look forward to seeing you soon!🙏
Completely agree!!!!!! When it comes to the staggering w the hanging plants in the window!!! It just looks more organic and natural and also imo its visually looks better looking cuz especially if its a tight window space and if you hung all the plants at the same height the pots would touch and it would just look strange and not aesthetic ..... honestly staggering when it comes to the design of natural things is the best way majority of the time, cuz if you think about it thats how nature is. Plants just grow wherever "get in where you fit in" cuz theyre all reaching to get light wherever possible and in the end it looks so cool cuz its random yet intentional w the plants finding places to get the best light like in a forest or rainforest u know ?? Also a good way to break up the basicness and sameness of the window w all the plants on the ground ?? Place them all in different sized pots w different designs Edit: YESS!!!! Also, odd numbers ?!?!?! I was gonna say that too ehen i first started writing this comment but forgot but then u mentioned it!! Odd numbers is always the way!! Unless you stagger then you might be able to get away w an even number but still , odd number of pots or anything with natural materials and/or working in a natural setting always looks good!!
My nursery pots and I feel very attacked by this video. Lol honestly though, it is very cool to see your thought processes and artistic vision when it comes to your home, which is beautiful by the way.
Proper watering is the best way to avoid fungus gnats. They live in soil where the fungus they eat has been allowed to thrive. Most all plants need a period of drying out, even if just the top soil. Allowing the top inch or two of your soil (at minimum) to dry out before watering will disrupt the life cycle of the gnats and prevent them taking over a pot. Bottom watering can help but you have to stop watering before the moisture has reached the top soil. Increasing the aeration of your soil by using amendments like perlite, bark, charcoal, pumice, leca, etc. and increasing the light, where appropriate, and the air circulation will help your soil to dry out faster.
With the hundreds of plants you have, how do you avoid putting some near air ducts? I'm already running into that problem and I only have around 30 plants so far. Are there some plants that you know can just take the abuse of being near a vent?
I love the relationship you have with Muffin! It is absolutely adorable to see! Thank you for sharing styling tips, I've definitely reached the point in my plant journey where I want my plants to look intentional and not like a hoarders nest!

Definitely make a macramé video. I always buy them but would like to learn how to make my own simple ones.
You tube has many videos that’s how I learned and it’s easy.
Congratulations, dear Nick for being on Summer Reign Oaks! You were and are wonderful! 😍🤩🥰

So you are the curator and caretaker of Muffin's jungle. Every house panther should have it so good!
Thank you for all the great tips!

Thank you SO much for including the species name on screen, it’s super helpful 🥰

These are such great tips!
I come for the plants, but stay for the kitty!
Love all❤️ Great job!
Loved the video so much thanks
Cat intermission! 💕
I love your tall shelf!! Where is it from???
Do you own your apartment? What if you have to move? How will you move the plants that are on the trellises?
Thanks Nick.
Always love a Muffin moment!
Hey how does the beautiful big dracaena at the beginning get enough light in that position? What tips do you have?
"A plant hoarders nest"...lol
My nursery pots and I feel very attacked by this video.
Lol honestly though, it is very cool to see your thought processes and artistic vision when it comes to your home, which is beautiful by the way.
You have a very nice home.
Hi Nick, I love your channel and I was wondering if you have any tips to reduce gnats in your home.
Cinnamon has done wonders for me !
Ooft looking fresh Nick ❤
I’ve been looking for trellis similar to yours, where did you get it?
Mirrors makes a room look bigger than it is
Is that at the Ludlow? I know that floor plan anywhere! 😂
With the hundreds of plants you have, how do you avoid putting some near air ducts? I'm already running into that problem and I only have around 30 plants so far. Are there some plants that you know can just take the abuse of being near a vent?
How do I match my pots that I already have? I don’t want to waste them. Paint?
What is the silver leaved hanging plant at 8:00?
Yep. Running low on surface space 😂😂❤
Nick - do you have any kokedama?
omg I love Muffin
🎉🎉🎉
