I'm so pleased I found your channel. I love everything you do. I'm an old guy, a life long gardener and my garden is simply too much for me so I've taken to houseplants and the care tips and styling ideas on your videos have given me a new lease of life. Thank you for sharing.
That is so positive to hear. I was also an outdoor gardener until an accident 5 years ago,I was so upset as I couldn’t work in my garden,so I started with indoor plants as well,I know I have a lot of plants everywhere as the family sometimes complain that they get in their way,I just found a way to comprise to make them happy as well! Good on you! 👍🏼🪴🍃
Im going to have the fire brigade on my case when they come to do a safety check. Im so dreading them saying my plants are a fire risk!!😢 i am needing to get it more like you have claire so it doesnt look so cluttered.
Great video! About the odd numbers vs even: what I was taught is that your eyes when seeing things in even numbers will just go from one to another, whereas in odd numbers the eyes see the whole of the composition
This is one of the best plant styling videos that I've seen! I too love a bohemian type of style and of course love the jungle vibes. The vibe and look that you've created in your home is perfect!
What you’ve done with your space is gorgeous! You have a great eye for styling and I love seeing plants displayed like this, I feel like it allows you to really appreciate each plant individually ❤️ Very well done!!
I appreciate you pointing out ideas that didn’t work, instead of only the ideas that look good. It’s a time saver, especially for those of us less experienced. Thank you.
I love your diy decorated pots. Want to also suggest finding and supporting local ceramics artists or taking a community ceramics class! You can absolutely get good enough to make a bunch of plant pots over the course of a six or eight week class. There is something really meaningful about having your plants in pots made of earth!
Artist here, the odd number organization of plants is a standard practice in art, rule of thirds, it results in excellent composition because of the imbalence it draws the eye all around the piece instead of even numbers being more like a straight line to the eye, love your videos btw
I live in a tropical country where plants grow easily; however, proper care is really important; watering, sunlight, and fertilizing are truly vital for our plant children to thrive. My mom has her own tropical garden. I grew up helping my mom grow plants, as far as I can remember. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.
I have a round beautiful plate on my coffee table with three plants on it I feel like three gives a feeling of a circular shape and compliments the plate if that makes sense. Loved this video Claire, Your space is lovely
I adore these tips. Yes to decorating your own pots 👏🏽 yes to levels 👏🏽 yes to grouping around the TV 👏🏽 yes to make your own stands and hangers 👏🏽 I love it. And I love the style of this video
I use tension rods in windows and wall recesses to hang plants from, they're a really good way to trail plants without having to drill and screw into the walls. I also think that balancing glass shelves across 2 tall vases or even bricks in windows gives you another great surface to fully make use of the window light. 🌿💚
Regarding grouping in odd numbers: That is a well known merchandising visual trick as the eye likes shapes. 3 creates a triangle, otherwise known as perspective (fore/background). So it is more pleasing and natural than a staged 1 or even groupings of plants.
It's also a way to avoid symmetry, which can look odd to the eye if just slightly off. Adding a 3rd, or 5th or whatever, allows the brain to relax and not look for perfect symmetry.
When I worked as a florist we would always use odd amounts of each flower type instead of even. That's where I learned about odds over evens. Your house looks beautiful!!
Some nice tips here Claire, thank you! Just be careful around the electronics, not just because of potential water contact but also TVs and even plugs (especially smart plugs) get hot so may damage your leaves!
Cool video! Your place looks lovely. I'd love to be able to style plants like that, but I'm constantly struggling with light requirements. Also, I've got a bit of a tip: S shaped door hooks are great for hanging macrame hangers on windows (or doors). And those stair-shaped spice racks work great for small plants in a cabinet.
I’m still fairly new to houseplants, and the majority of mine live in my screen porch because I’m in Florida. I’m only now starting to consider bringing some plants inside the house and this video is perfection! I literally have some old branches in my yard that were meant for the yard bin, but I’m going to scrape them and turn them into a prop station! Brilliant!
OMG! I have empty inbuilt shelves in my bedroom and I couldn't decide what to do with them for some time now! You just gave me the best idea! Thank you xx
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You were the one that have inspired me how to save my dieding vinca year after year with hydrogen paroxide. This year it was going to be the same. I did as you taught us . And SAVED THEM. THANK YOU AGAIN.❤ I wrote here to be sure you will see it. Cause it is a recent video.😊
Absolutely loved this video!!! I am taking a week off and spending it mostly rearranging my collection (plus many new plants hehe) and styling my home with my houseplants. This was very inspiring! And that branch propagation wall hanger? Gorgeous! Will definitely be stealing that idea 😁🪴💚
Love, love, LOVED this video! I will be digging thru my nursery pot stash today and start decorating them…while watching your playlist on the subject. Thank you Claire!
I reccomend Gorilla Mounting Putty for trailing plants to climb the wall as it doesn't damage the walls :D Love your channel! Your plants looks fabulous!
Your home looks so lovely and I am going to use the tip about shower shelfs on windows. As our flat looks out into not the nicest view. The only tip I can think of that I could contribute is putting plants near books if your a book lover, as you'd already find books relaxing to look at. So having both plants and books together can be extra comforting. I also have put my pink princess next to a himalayan salt candle holder and the dark pink stems of the pink princess contrast really well with the light pink himalayas salt. And there's something about those two textures I really like to look at.
These are great tips! Your home looks amazing. One more tip from me: those little hangers you put on top of doors for hanging towels etc are great for hanging plants as well!
This was just what I needed Claire! I’m currently redecorating my tiny bedroom and need creative ideas to display my newfound love of plants! When you have vines trailing up your walls, do you just leave them in place to water, or would you undo all the twisty clips and take the pot somewhere to drain properly?
🪴 Love your channel Claire!! 💚 Question: how do u water your hanging plants in the glued hanging baskets u made (i watched your how-to video) without getting soiled water everywhere or dirtying (browning) the macrame? so curious when i see the open holes without a water tray! LOVE your videos and binge watch! Thank you again for your unique videos! and hi to Joli ❤🐕🐶
I want your apartment!Windows, skylights, plenty of electrical outlets, bright, airy, built in shelving! Oh I’m jealous. Gorgeous! Beautiful home. Well done!
I love all your plants, they make look everything better and gorgeous! I have several plants around my house and I just love them!! I see you from Virginia, USA
Oh Claire, loved this video so much!❤ My taste is very similar to yours and yes I love that natural/organic look and very individual hand made touch. I reuse/ repurchase/thrift anything I can get my hands on! I also use rope around plastic grow pots, wire baskets or even cupboard boxes! Love your space and vibes so much! 👏🏻👏🏻🫶🏼🪴🍃 Natalie
Thank you for sharing your ideas ! Your place is soo cute and your creativity on your pots are beautiful! I love the boho look 🥰 I have a small apt so your video is a lot of help . Thank you again!
I love your tips. I have most of my plants cluttered together and I’d like to be more creative and spread them out for more visual appeal. What holds me back is I’m always afraid if they aren’t right in front of a window that they won’t do well.
It looks really gorgeous Claire! Think it’s the first time I’ve seen how you present the plants in your home. I imagined that it looked really cluttered which I don’t like, but it doesn’t at all. I particularly love your propagation zone. Michelle x
Hi Claire. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’m a very DIY person (I was going to say crafty but that doesn’t sound right). I’ve done quite a few cover pots honey buckets covered with cord etc.(handle removed) and had many compliments. I’ll be taking a look at your playlist next to see what you have created. As for arranging in odd numbers, I trained as a florist and was taught to always use odd numbers because, say if you put 4 of something together it immediately looks boxy or square and isn’t pleasing to the eye. It’s hard to explain but I’m sure you get what I’m saying. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on styling houseplants.
New subscriber here! Before I saw this video I was thinking I’d just love to see around how she does all her decorating. So, yeah! I absolutely love using my plants as decor & a hobby too. My favorite tip was the homemade pot covers! I have a cpl plants that I look at sideways and I realize it’s bc I haven’t styled their pots in a pleasing way. So, I’m going to bust out my glue gun & visit the craft shop! Thank you!
My new fav. Way is to grow trailing plants up sun bleached Beach wood from a lake. Instead of moss poles or coco poles. Finding odd shaped braches is more artistic in appearance and just different
Loved this vidio just what i nedded great ideas and inspiration i love your hanging rails your home is perfect for plants look's fabulous going to rewatch pot decoration vidio and perchase a glue gun also make some macrame hangers thanks your wonderful 💯😊
Absolutely loved this video. How on earth do you water all the plants hanging up high, particularly since its warmer up there and the plants tend to dry out. Love your channel and Yolie.
You have a beautiful home My question is how do you manage to give your plants adequate sunlight? I have to keep putting my plants outside to get some sunlight
I use one of those extendabe poles you can buy for curtains that I placed in a window frame without using screws and I hang several nepentheses and a hoya from them. Great for renters or when the frame isn't made of wood. You can also buy telescopic wardrobe setups to easlity build a shalow plant wall with schelves and hanging space
Hello I loved all your tips they are really creative and beneficial ❤❤❤ I have a question: I used to put some plants near Tv but they get yellow or brown leaves and sometimes they die ..😢😢😢 do you know the reason ?!
Hi Claire! I’ve only just got into houseplants this year but you’ve taught me so much already! Really love your content ❤ I love the rails going round your ceiling and I’d like to do something similar for my space. Did you install regular curtain rails or would I need something more sturdy?
Loved the fabric cover basket turned upside down over the nursery pot- such a special moment.
Yes, that's such a brilliant idea!

Sorry that was meant for main comments.
Great video! About the odd numbers vs even: what I was taught is that your eyes when seeing things in even numbers will just go from one to another, whereas in odd numbers the eyes see the whole of the composition
Exactly right! Odd numbers create a focal point just like a triangle to stop the eye from choosing one or the other ❤

Those clear shower boxes are game changers. I have them in my office and make my room even more planty
Your creativity knows no limits, I love your home

My jaw dropped in the first 45 seconds, that’s how you hook a viewer ✨
It all looks so lovely and green!💚💚💚
Hi Claire…just wanted to tell you I’ve had an absolute ball wrapping nursery pots in macramé cord & decorating them today. ❤❤
I have a round beautiful plate on my coffee table with three plants on it

@blacksheepministryI remember being told this in art school
It's also a way to avoid symmetry, which can look odd to the eye if just slightly off. Adding a 3rd, or 5th or whatever, allows the brain to relax and not look for perfect symmetry.
❤ Thanks a lot for the very unusual tips! I really like them!
Great ideas. I especially love your decorated pots and the propagation stations and the hanging clear shower holders that you put on your window.
When I worked as a florist we would always use odd amounts of each flower type instead of even. That's where I learned about odds over evens. Your house looks beautiful!!
Shower shelves! Whatca great idea. I love it.
英式英语真好听!😊花盆点子真好!
the upside down one over the stand is amazing! the minute i am off work today :) thank you for all you do!! :)
Thank you for all your practical tips. I could see how passionate you are about plants. You really inspire me to start working on my house.
Some nice tips here Claire, thank you! Just be careful around the electronics, not just because of potential water contact but also TVs and even plugs (especially smart plugs) get hot so may damage your leaves!
All plants are gift of nature

I'm watching this after 4 hours of plant chores 😅 my 41 year old knees are saying, ouch! But my heart is saying more plant life 😂
Great ideas! I made some shelves from cheap wood, and I covered the wood with some cute planty fabric using a staple gun. It's very cute!

🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
So pretty
Great tips!!
Awesome video!
So pretty. How do you manage the plants up so high?
Agreed! I'm very short and even with a little ladder, it's difficult.
Yes I want to know about this too…watering, cleaning leaves, changing propagation water.
I just stand on a chair. I did think about a pulley system, but for now the chair works fine 😂
The propagation station is great 🎉
You have a beautiful home
My question is how do you manage to give your plants adequate sunlight?
I have to keep putting my plants outside to get some sunlight
Your home looks so inviting and calm , im slowly building up my collection, what rails do you use for your hanging plants please? X

Just beautiful. How do you water all those plants?
Hello

I love the rails going round your ceiling and I’d like to do something similar for my space. Did you install regular curtain rails or would I need something more sturdy?
Absolutely beautiful but how do you check the dampness of the soil and how do you water those that are so beautifully hanging so high?
