Disguise only makes sense on Mimikyu. Even if it could work on other pokemon, it has no thematic cohesion with Absol. Absol goes out of its way to show itself to humans despite the biases against it. Furthermore, Giving Absol a free swords dance on top of the massive boost to its attack stat would be a bit much even for mega standards. 160 attack 2x boosted sucker punch is kind of ridiculous. Intimidate would probably be the best fit thematically if you were to lean into the feared prophet-of-doom angle and many offensive Pokemon have made great use of the free pressure intimidate gives. It would also make mega absol good in doubles as well as singles. Alternatively, its ability to see future disasters could be played into, but abilities like forewarn and anticipation suck, so maybe playing into its protective nature based off its future-sight, like what they tried to do by giving it magic bounce, could be a better fit. Defiant, Infiltrator, Inner Focus, Justified, No Guard, Serene Grace, Stakeout, Steadfast, and Super Luck are all mediocre-to-good abilities that fit the idea.
Mega evolutions don't really change the pokemons looks other than adding certain features. Like here, mega absol looks too much like absol to consider itself an evolution
@christiancinnabars1402 but pawmo and pawmot look like evolutions. Absol and mega absol look the exact same. Poliwhirl and poliwrath would made more sense for you to say here but even that doesn't have enough differences to look like a mega. Like it looks buffed and that's about it.

Serene Grace would be cool for a hax set if it were speedier. Play rough for attack drops, zen headbutt for flinches, night slash for hella crits. Could also go Charge Beam, ice beam, dark pulse for a special set
Absol has been my favorite mega for a long time since there was a Roblox fangame called Pokémon Brick Bronze, where a mega absol joins your team during the story. It was OP in story mode!
I actually think ability like Queenly Majesty would work a lot better! It could have a different name, similar to the variants of it like Dazzling and Armor Tail, but it could be a huge benefit statistically and thematically. Since Absol is known to be able to predict natural disasters, the ability to avoid priority moves would fit that theme of foresight. And it would prevent Absol from being able to have it's frailty taken advantage of by pokemon slower than it by just using priority moves. To compliment this, I probably wouldn't actually want it to invest in it's bulk as much with the Mega since speed is way more important. 20 in both defenses is fine, along with the rest of your changes, but taking 15 points from that 95 spdef to get it to a 135 speed tier would do wonders for Absol, and would further validate it's priority immunity.
I really like the stat changes, the fairy type, and destiny bond on its moveset, which I think is super fitting for it. Disguise I'm less sure about, that might be a bit too much. When looking over the ability list though, I don't see anything that really stands out to me. Adaptability and tough claws are cool abilities that would help its offensive gameplan, but I don't know how much they fit lore wise. In terms of lore, something like forewarn or aftermath would work really well, but they're pretty underwhelming competitively so I don't think it would make much sense to do those. The pokedex description does say Mega absol has an intimidating aura, but intimidate is really boring and I don't want to do that. Dark aura could also work I guess, but... ehhh... I dunno. I almost want to give this thing sword of ruin but that might also be too much, and infringe upon the legendary quartet. A unique ability might also be interesting for it, but I don't really have any good ideas that would fit a foreteller of disaster transforming in to a fighting form Can anyone else think of anything?
How about some kind of future sight gimmick ability, e.g. the first move you use after coming in also hits the opponent again after two turns. So you can future sight any move, but you also attack the turn you move. Might be broken idk
My idea- a buff to Forewarn, which currently has no relevance in competitive. Upon switching in, Forewarn now alerts the user of whichever of the opponent's moves can deal the highest potential damage to it instead of being purely based on the move's base power (so for example, Iron Head would be alerted over Earthquake for the Dark/Fairy Mega Absol). In addition, whichever move was revealed will only deal 50% damage the first time it is used- so if Iron Head was revealed, then it would have its damage halved the first time the opponent used it on Absol, but deal full damage with subsequent attacks, until Absol is switched out again, upon which the ability resets. This would have a similar effect to Disguise, giving Absol more switch-in opportunities, but trades the splashability of Disguise and its consistent recoil for being renewable and allowing Absol to be very effective as a hit-and-run attacker with its new move U-Turn. Absol can switch in on a super effective attack turned neutral to immediately pressure slower foes, or it can switch in on its resists and immunities and force switches against opponents that can't threaten high damage against it while the Forewarned attack is still halved. Now with this ability, I would probably funnel some of the stats she gave it back into Special Attack since the ability gives it defensive options, and I think Mega Absol's mixed attacking capabilities are interesting. My new stat spread with this ability would be 65 HP/150 ATK/70 DEF/85 SPA/80 SPD/115 SPE Its defense is biased towards SpDef so it can act as a better offensive check towards powerful Ghost/Psychic special attackers, and the Attack and Speed were returned to those of the regular Mega. I don't think this would be a super strong Mega but I do think it would at least be a good option in UU or RU, and that's about as much as I'd like to ask for.
In my fangame I'm making, I've given mega absol a custom ability where absol and it's allies take 25% less damage from all attacks as well as blocking critical hits. I gave it this ability due to giving it similar defenses as in this video, along with the thematic sense of absol being able to predict disaster, and acting as a protector from it. I also gave it the dark/fairy type.
I think slapping on the flying type along with brave bird since it sprouts massive wings + giving it either dark aura or tough claws, even without any stat changes I think that could make mega absol so much more viable

I do like the new stat re distribution as mix absole was mostly weak from my usage many years ago as there are better megas or normal special attackers that can be used and not waste your mega slot.
My custom mega absol ability Name-disasters profit Effect-applies the status effect disasters calling to this Pokémon from the start of battle until the battle ends and while this effect is active neutralizes all status conditions aimed at this Pokémon and increases the power of this Pokémon’s dark type moves by 50% and it a status condition is aimed at this Pokémon the next dark type move used by this Pokémon will do 100% more damage I made this it might be a bit strong but I think it’s a cool concept

Great video!! I really like what you've put down on the table for Absol. It's nice to see think kind of analysis on JUST Absol and not some compilatiom on "bad megas." Personally, I'd give Absol a signature move that hits as a dark/fairy type equivalent to flyibg press. Also 150 more points in its attack, 280 into it's speed, and 110 into both of its defenses would be good addition for my taste. But this is a great alternative! I am not biased in any way, and this dosen't have to with how much I love Absol. Also it could get a new ability called ULTRA luck which combines all its abilities into one and allows it to mega evolve without its mega stone. This buff is optional, it's just for flavor imo. 😌🖤🤍✨️
Ok but 165 atk and free +2 is busted- even given he gets folded by mach punch and vacuum waves that he cant sucker punch Ohko, but that's kinda it. like, knock+sucker+SD + play rough packs up just about the whole tier. if that doesn't, swap knock off for any coverage move. wouldn't this end up like genesect?

I like your changes! But keep in mind Misty Explosion is a special move, thus M-Absol wouldn't benefit from it as much.
