You missed the worst one. The guy who was an Uber driver and shot people in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It caused Uber to change a lot of policies.
he was an uber driver but it didn’t involve uber even though it did change uber policies
Aw what the fuck
Damn I am from that area. Honestly not surprised
Wow! That's horrifyingly inevitable.
Wow that's one of the most effed up things I've ever heard...
Not about the Uber driver, but the fact that you can't read. This is a video about banned USERS. Don't start ur grade-school level sentence trying to correct the creator WITH YOUR OPINION. You can mention your mainstream addition and also not be an asshole at the same time believe it or not.
Trust me, we Missourians get that joke pretty often
And we say it ourselves
😭😭😭
I was not expecting this cameo appearance
I read this comment before I saw the joke in the video, and I guessed what it was going to be correctly. 😂 Fellow Missourian, can confirm.
Honestly I do not feel sorry for that doctor lady
You said it best, being a doctor is a high stress job, if you can't handle stress you're risking lives
I disagree so much. No human can ever be not stressed. The shit piles up overtime. Why do you think that most doctors look 30 years older then they already are?
Idiotic take. Humans can feel stress. It's a HUMAN EMOTION
This has the same energy as "Men shouldn't cry and if they do they aren't men"
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 They weren’t saying that you can’t be stressed as a doctor, they were saying that doctors have to learn how to handle that stress or else they might put others at risk. Also stress is in no way a justifiable reason or an excuse to assault someone.
@@LetMeSleepAlready Well then can you or any doctors or med students tell me what kind of stragities they have to stay calm 24/7/365?
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 evidently you either didn’t read my comment or have the reading comprehension skills of a 3rd grader. I’m NOT saying that medical staff always have to stay calm, I’m saying that they have to learn to handle their stress and that stress is NOT AN EXCUSE OR JUSTIFICATION for assaulting people and being a huge ass. If someone is stressed and upset over something and they decide to just punch me in the face for no reason, is that action justified or excused just because they were stressed? NO it isn’t. Stress isn’t an excuse to hurt others. Try to actually read my comment this time would ya.
You deserve a like for the Missouri misery pun alone honestly
Please don't reward me for puns 😭
As someone from Missouri, it's an old pun at this point. No hate if you use it, but most people from Missouri I know are tired of it
@@basementdwellercosplay that is because the pun accurately describes life in Missouri
/s
@@basementdwellercosplay Keith Whitley has a pretty good song with it in there- “Charlotte’s in North Carolina, and left me here in St. Louis misery.”
Mayor of London (paraphrased): “Though [I] want London to be at the forefront of innovation… this will never come at the expense of potential safety concerns for the populace…”
Meanwhile in South London…
“Tootle loo! I stab you!”
See? No innovation, just regular stab
I think for South London at this point stabbing IS the innovation.
last year there was a plague of rapes on women using bolt/uber in warsaw, 20 cases which is shocking for the country. There was a group of georgian men who were doing this. I have heard more than enough awful stories from ppl I know about their behavious, It's less safe than a normal public transport IMO
I personally quit Uber after they ran a short lived beta concept in my city where they did Pool rides with set end destinations. The program told a driver a fellow shared rider should be stranded on the side of the highway. He refused (thankfully) and drove her to a safe spot. Despite continued pleadings/escalations on my end with their "safety" team to simply investigate the scenario I simply got canned responses based on their regular non-pilot pool system, acting like I was just trying to scam them out of a fair when I was just legitimately concerned their beta program had told a lady to get tf off on the side of a highway. Zero interest in safety and nothing will shock me from them anymore
Plot twist: she actually wanted to be dropped off on the side of the highway
@@wolfetteplays8894 🎯😂
My uncle was the taxicab commissioner of DC and fought hard to keep Uber out of the district. He clashed pretty hard and publicly with their bawbag of a CEO including stings on his part and a burning in effigy on theirs. I still hesitate every time I need to request an Uber.
Literally 1984
Normally i would object to a co founder forbidden to hold a seat of power in his own company but this a a huge exception!
hell yes
lyft just tried to give someone 50% off their next 3 rides after they reported they'd been sa'd by one of their drivers.
Bruh
I will never do uber or lyft by myself. It scares me since I was sa'd in college
@@Breexbloodlust I'm so so sorry that happened. I recommend if you ever are in a situation where you HAVE to use one, my friends and I downloaded this app called life 360 so we can look out for each other if we are in those situations such as uber or a lyft. It can see like how fast you're driving, if you're speeding, track your location to the dot, and has an sos button I believe. It's helped us ease our nerves a lot!
That's like a murderer giving you the knife that they used to kill your bf/gf as an apology
@@Cupdev Agreed. The person who was posting about said that they just wanted to know how to file a report through them or about their driver and apparently- at the time I was following- lyft said they weren't sure how to help them and then proceeded to offer them that "deal."
Taco bell exec: this footage has caused me distress, anxiety, and lost me my job
Uber driver: fun, you hitting and punching me cause similar issues
😂😂😂
Thats what I was thinking too, then the nerve to sue 5 million on the Uber driver who asked for 25 G after you were the one who beat the crap of them in their car, like screw you dude 🙄
Those hits and punches are short term though. He lost his JOB. He'il have no income. That's a long-term problem over some marks.
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 hes rich enough to feed 20 generations, he'll be fine. while the uber driver is a normal guy who suffered a traumatic incident and ALSO had a hard time getting back to work. dont feel bad for the rich, its the reason the world is the way it is now
@@queefgod420 not to mention he kind of lost his job too, because the exec gave him a traumatic event that made him not feel safe continuing his Uber career
How had you never heard about Uber almost getting cancelled in London? When it was happening it was all over the news in the UK! 😂
For some context, when all that was going down, we were on the precipice of a pandemic, and Brexit was getting ready to drop, with the border between Ireland and the UK being spotlit. We were in Dublin when the deadline was about to pass, and headed up to Derry. We got a warning paper with our travel info giving us a heads up about the possibility of us being stuck in limbo. 😅
Uber drivers shoyld be allowed to record to protect themselves
They are
They're allowed to record the ride unless there is no sticker saying that the ride is being recorded
“You’re racist”
“I am now!” Is peak America honestly
That's such a trash use of a pun that being from Missouri I hear constantly and I STILL laughed. Bravo, Fox. Well played.
And these ending segues. Charming ass dude. Thanks as always.
I used to work at a taxi office and the incident book was horrifying
really 👀
Do tell
@The Unconventional Hippie Man👹 Mainly, lots of stalking and also locking the doors, driving somewhere, not letting them out then letting them go
The first story reminded me of Annaliese Nielsen, who was banned from Uber's rival company Lyft.
I'd smoke a blunt with FoxAkimbo.
As would I,he seems like a pretty chill dude

With the doctor, it's an explanation, but not an excuse. She still should've behaved like a civil human being
You can record people without permission in Germany, with conditions:
1. They're in the background, and their faces are unrecognizable.
2. If someone claims to recognize their face in the video, you have to make their face unrecognizable, failure to comply can end up with a lawsuit.
Live Streams are a bit harder, but when the police approach you, you better turn off the camera and the microphone, or you can reckon with a huge fine. (if they find out)
thats stupid... tho with history i can see why.. dont want something bad being seen!
@@user-bp5xp2vk7w What do you mean history?
This is the expectation of privacy, even in the public.
@@KittenKatja there is no expectation of privacy in public... im sorry thats stupid.. if you want privacy stay indoors... germany i swear backwards!
@@KittenKatja if you gotta ask about history dont worry!
@@user-bp5xp2vk7w Next you're going to claim private conversations can be shared against the consent of the interlocutor, and anything recorded indoors can also be shared without the consent of the one being recorded.
Look, the only people who have no expectation of privacy in public are public figures such as movie stars and people who share indoors with the public. (also called UA-camrs)
This is onetime where Uber should pair up with its rivals to prevent the DC Karen from signing up with other rideshare apps.
Nope, that would be illegal collusion
I think people should just aquiesce to these so-called "Karens" instead of hating on them, I think you'll find most of them were just having a bad day or dealing with unreasonable people
Although some Karens might be having a bad day, others are just very entitled due to the "give an inch, they'll take a mile" mentality
@@screwthisin well I'm of the opinion that the vast majority of Karens are simply having a bad day when they make a public fuss, the truly entitled ones are the minority here
That doctor was ridiculous and literally assaulting innocent people! I've gone through many worse situations yet I've never ASSAULTED someone bc of it. That alone just screams that she's making an excuse and honestly I would respect her so much more if she was honest and took real accountability... which she refused to do at ALL
As someone who used to live in Missouri,…. You be right.
That first guy could’ve and should’ve just knocked her tf out. He has video of her clearly verbally harassing him and get up in his personal space and even laying hands on him first. Easy self defense case right there and you could squeeze as much money outta her in court
There's so many fake Karen videos I have trouble distinguishing which ones are real or not, the fact that Uber banned her makes me lean more towards it being real though.
In the US there are some weird laws with recording and it's a frist Amendment act in public
I don’t know if this is allowed with Uber, but if I were in the driver’s position in the first video, I would’ve just gone to a nearby store (if there is one that is) and bought her a cheap charger for her phone just to shut her up.
Or I would’ve just walked back to my car and left her on the sidewalk.
I love how the passengers say they don’t give consent to be recorded but is getting recorded everyday by cctv cameras and that’s ok I guess
6:47 I feel that it's perfectly acceptable to live stream as an Uber driver, with one caveat. You have to have a sticker(or other notification), in plain view of the passenger(usually on the rear door windows), that states that this ride is being live streamed. Just like any business with cameras has signs letting you know that there are cameras. This informs the potential passenger of this, and they can modify what they say in the Uber, or just not get in at all if they feel like being live streamed is a violation of them.
The thing brought up in this segment mentions the legality of being recorded. And while what was said was true, it's not complete. In regards to private property no consent needs to be obtained or given. You can have security cameras set up in your home that live stream to Twitch/UA-cam and not need to obtain consent from anyone entering your house as that is your private property. And this is where the legal against Uber falls flat. The vehicles that Uber drivers use are their own personal vehicles. Uber does not provide these vehicles to the drivers like Taxi Cab companies do. The law about consent in regards to being recorded/streamed only comes into effect in places where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. Phone calls between two people, bathrooms, restricted locations where access is limited. And is only enforced if the one trying to record does not have regular, direct legal access to the location being recorded. Such as a residence where they don't live or a vehicle they don't own. Business' put up signs to inform the customer that cameras are in use, but they don't need your written or worded consent, by your entering you are agreeing. Even in an "all parties must consent" state, the one who set up the cameras is already consenting. By placing the signs/stickers on your car in a clearly visible location, anyone who continues to enter your car is consenting knowing full well that they are now being recorded.
So rather than trying to stop live streaming of their drivers, Uber should just update their driver policy that if they are going to live stream they MUST include signage that informs riders as much. This would absolve Uber and their drivers of any legal hassle. Personally, if I were going to become an Uber driver and stream on Twitch, I would have that across the entire side of my car. Make it like a part of my brand or something. Like that Cash Cab show. Have my Twitch channel in big bold letters in purple. Make it impossible to miss. Personally, I would feel safer getting into an Uber that was being live streamed because not only is it being recorded, there are witnesses should anything bad happen.
2:15 “whether or not she faced legal action for this” what do you mean? What legally could be done? Thats protected speech.

im so thankful my city doesnt have uber
I can understand the privacy issues however many states are a singly party consent state. I for sure record everything in my car and use the footage as I feel to. I of course only need one person aware of the recording and as I'm in them legal requirements are fulfilled.

there's also that uber eats driver that was killed and dismembered in FL a couple weeks back.
When it comes to the recording in your car situations, context and intent are very important. What JustSmurf was doing WAS an invasion of privacy, because it was live unedited footage of people in hisbcar who arent aware they are beinf recording/have no ability to consent to being filmed. Recording in general is fine, i would argue it should be a regular thing for everyone, not just ride share drivers. Uber drivers and other such workers should have the ability to upload the videos in a non-live format to show a problem the company isnt addressing (because thats often why drivers post footage videos thay go viral), but it SHOULD be edited to get rid of as much sensitive info that isnt related to the problem being presented to protect other people's privacy. Thats rhe entire point if recording in your car, and you have every right to record whatever you want in your own car. The issue comes with people not understanding that just because you have the right to record, that doesn't mean you have the right to share what you recorded.
People who clown and mass hate on someone else because of how they react to stressful situations are literally the same type of people. Just say "that's childish" and move on. Harassing them is just as childish and can even be dangerous. You're literally poking a bear, just drop it
The story about the co founder makes me think of the Activision scandal. Pigs 🤮

I have pretty bad social anxiety and hate making small talk, so getting an Uber or taxi is something I don’t plan on doing. For public buses and metros, I’m slightly more comfortable cause people tend to not talk to others and you’re not alone plus high regulations when it comes to the driver
Don't forget the banned uber Mega Rayquaza- wait this ain't pokémon

I agree that anyone and everyone could get upset enough to throw things and hit and yell, but
That doesn't mean you should.
Or at the very least, you can hold it in until you won't be harming someone else's property for it. Or choose to drink at home where you won't affect others, ect
There's ways to mitigate this, routes she could've taken before she because so intoxicated that she supposedly couldn't control it, and even then I find it odd for anyone to get to the point of property damage or berating a specific person, or like in the taco bell clip, hitting someone.
Just can't wrap my head around it even in my lowest points, unless the person deserved it.
I clarify that for cases of abuse where the victim snaps and offs the abuser for instance, as that.. is a step too far but one I can understand.
And that's why I stopped driving for Uber and Lyft.
That's why I don't like the idea of getting drunkbecause I'll probably turn into that person .
My grandfather worked as a uber for some time
Then, for the first time in his life, he was robbed. Two times in less than a month.
Wow that must be horrible😢. I hope he recover
What about it? Been banned for biking too fast. Didn't realize I wasn't allowed to go über
My Uber driver threatened to kill me and come to my work and home if I got him deactivated because I wouldn’t be his “only friend” I still have all the screenshots of the texts and all Uber did was give me my money back for that ride…
15:10 Joker intensifies
I also never knew Uber was banned in London and I am also British
I feel like a LOT of the criticisms towards Kalanick were pretty unfounded. If a country has prostitution and he partakes, its not illegal in that country and shouldn't be held against them (we can't empower female sex workers and shame their male clients), the promotion was started by the Uber HQ in that country and doubtfully reached the CEO in the US before starting, and, like stated, he can't control every single action of thousands of employees. Saying that only 3% of the workforce for a certain department were women and that's bad is super weak because, regardless of Affirmative Action (another insanely harmful practice that should be done away with) there may not be women applying for the position or women who are qualified to hold the position.
They ban drivers for being + too

When it comes the one, where is the passenger who was a doctor? I don’t care if you had a long, stressful day at work as a doctor and that your follow was admitted to a hospital even if it was the one you actually work at in the unit you work at and then your boyfriend breaks up with you or you break up with your boyfriend which ever way it happened and you choose to drink to deal with those is not ask used to treat your Uber driver like That.
Uber and EDP445 are bad enough.
Those people have a lot of patience. If was me, I'd just punch her, get in my car and go away. 👍
I would hate being recorded without my consent, hopefully, I think it's illegal to do that in my country.
For the doctor, yes you might be really stressed, but you don't take it out on people who did nothing to you. I wouldn't want to have a doctor like that
14:08 Uhhmmm I beg to differ. My friend studies medicine and when I met her fellow students and mentors, let’s just say that I don’t really trust them. Some doctors may be good but most are wild and just untrustworthy.
Uk no
Saying words aint racist, believing your above someone is
Dont forget the girl that physically assaulted and spat on an uber driver for asking her to wear a mask.
Golden states....
I love how people come to countries like the U.S. and the UK to take advantage of the liberty to be whoever you want because they are marginalized and pigeon holed in their country due to casts systems and the like and then proceed to marginalize and pigeon hole other groups. It's almost as if they add value to who they are by devaluing others. That's called trauma. Now that you're here, try to take advantage of all the mental health practitioners we have.
