I worked in an Amazon warehouse when I was 19...still my least favorite job, despite the fact that I've also worked as an exterior painter and gotten paid less
Do you have any particularly interesting stories or was it overall just meh?
@@_Kuma_ it was mostly pretty boring. I guess one interesting story is that one of the places we could go for break had computers, and some people used them to watch UA-cam videos. I saw one guy watching the Talking Tom cat videos on them, keep in mind he was an adult. I've also heard that someone/people were using them to watch cock fights.
@@BillPhurnell like…chicken fights or….?

Warehouse jobs are the worst
"we need to go back to before most of you were born...the year 2000s"
*Well that's one way you've made me feel like a rotting corpse, thank you*
😂😂😂
Me too!!! Haha
I was born in the late 90s and that made me feel old.
I was born in 02 so 😂
I think I just found a few grey hairs...
Walmart tells you as soon as your hired that they don't allow unions and that you will be fired so if we are calling out amazon let's call out all the large companies.
Target is very anti union too
I never really understood what that meant tbh. I just thought some group of people would come in and try to talk to random employees about leaving their job
i mean thats literally not true but go off honey. i worked there before and people were actively promoting unions, giving out flyers, etc.
@@madsfiedler3884 Maybe at your Walmart but when I was hired my orientation group was told that Walmart does not support unions and if you were caught promoting a union you would be fired. My son works for Walmart now and was told the same so literally it is true.
@madsfiedler3884 "I didn't experience that so actually you're wrong" Hey maybe people just have different experiences
That's what dog fighting should really be, a puppy fighting itself in the mirror. Who's gonna win? The puppy or the mirror?! 😂
One would think that what Amazon and Google pulled would violate HIPAA in USA. A pharmacy cannot even say aloud "Mr Smith your pain meds are ready" or "Mrs Jones your heart meds prescription is ready for pickup" without getting in serious trouble. They have to keep it vague by federal law to just say "Pickup at Pharmacy" or something like that.
I worked at Amazon in Southern California for 2 Christmas seasons back in the late 2000's, didn't know about the pee bottle but it doesn't surprise me, doesn't surprise me about the guy who organized the walkout due to covid ether. First time I worked there was for about a month and they had me walking so much getting the orders I lost 10 pounds in roughly 30 days. Both times I worked there, there was an ambulance there at least once a week on the over night shift alone from someone passing out in the truck bays, also people where always afraid to use the bathroom because we where always pressured to push ourselves so much they get an infection. After a while they installed megaphones everywhere that would sound when it was break or lunch or to go home. They gave 3 15s and a 30 for the 4-10 hour shifts we had. They had stuff like table tennis and a chalk board and other fun little things in the break room but it shouldn't come at the cost a person's health.
‘Before some of you where even born’
‘Year 2000’ 💀
I mean I was only born in 99 but that made me feel old
I was born in 1997 and this made me feel hella old 😭
I was born March 2000 so I was there but like 6 months old lol
@@emilybarclay8831 Born August 2000, so 1 month old lol
I see you old and raise you a positively ANCIENT... January '92. 🤦🏼♀️
95 here. I remember flip phones.
FINALLY
I worked for Amazon on their Alexa products and we were set unrealistic goals that we were penalised for despite not actually being standard for the company as a whole. I was taking new medication for my fragile mental health (mostly due to Amazon) and it was making me a little slower, so I was pulled into a meeting with my manager and he just told me to stop taking it. So I quit, fuck that place
If you can prove that Jack- there’s a good lawsuit against Amazon with your name on it. No job is worth losing your health, relationships, ethics, mind, or even life over.
My cousin worked in an Amazon warehouse and he told me its one of the worst jobs he has ever had..
Sounds about right.
I don't think the Amazon selling harmful books is a censorship issue because they're not preventing them from publishing and selling elsewhere. One company alone cannot affect censorship that way no matter how big they are.
I feel so guilty whenever I buy something from this company, love you foxy
Every time I see a job listing for Amazon I run away so fast
bruh i'm tryna watch in peace and you had to remind me of how old I am
i vividly remember the year 2000 lmao
i was informed by customer service that i couldnt watch youtube on my google chrome and could not understand why. got rid of my chrome and now i know the truth 😂😂😂
As I understand it, the main claim to Amazon about the goods is that they do not have tens of thousands of people who will read every book and watch every DVD to be sure that everything is according to the law, and of course take notes, because in the future the laws may change
I am so glad there are channels like this who shine a light on these mega companies who have unethical practices and who really need to be broken up for market competition’s sake. The good thing to remember is that there’s ALWAYS a weakness somewhere in these seemingly untouchable places/people and you can bet there’s not a few people exploring what those might be so they can bring them down.
I just hope that their sphere of influence and/or control is not so vast at that point that it will dramatically hurt the economy and a lot of innocent people.
On the ornament one I literally done the most stereotypical British wot
Ikr!
Well, better book my place in the nursing home now. I swear 2000 was only a few years ago
My parents have said my siblings and I will be disinherited if we get jobs at Amazon. I can't tell if they're joking or not.
love the series bro, keep it up!
YIPEEEEE FOX UPLOAD I NEEDED THIS RN

Geez… The Amazon rainforest seems more tame than some of these, especially the 4th one
I find it strange that Amazon might have medical data on my dodgy arsehole, or Dad as I call him...
I’m more surprised that there’s jobs where you WON’T be fired for so much as saying union. Like the factory I worked at had the owner straight up say during orientation that if he hears anything about unions, you will be fired immediately.
I didn’t even know that that kind of policy was unlawful. That’s how bad the job field is in my area 😂
There are jobs that already have unions already so they clearly exist.
@@sourgreendolly7685 I know. It’s just easy to forget sometimes tbh
My husband used to work at Walmart and there is a reason for this. If you start to unionize at Walmart they will find a reason to shut the store down despite the profits it creates. For some communities, especially rural ones, this can cause the people to go several miles without access to food. For my old town if Walmart shut down it would be about 40 miles until the nearest grocery store or even pharmacy. In urban areas it would create a food desert as well. So unfortunately it isn't because Walmart is doing well in this area. They are just way more heavy-handed and the people know the consequences of their actions and how bad it would hurt the community they live in and the families surrounding the areas. It is a sad state of affairs when you have to choose between better (and actually correct) working conditions and the potential of taking food and medication access away from families around you.
Scamazon: We scam people.
I think Amazon can sell books with untrue/ unproven medical advice, and there is a huge difference between selling and promoting.
Good to see you back at it!
well there is a title that grabs you by the eyes ... love this subject matter great video as per
This channel is fantastic! How does it have less than 100,000 subscribers!? These videos are so professional and the topics covered are amazingly controversial which I absolutely love because so many channels don't cover these things anymore because they are afraid of the algorithm and obeying youtubes stupid policies and rules. Hat off to you sir!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy my content ❤️
I’m a strong advocate for 3 strikes regarding union busting. 3rd strike being closure of the company and all subsidiaries and divisions
If you want to know another more unknown form of animal cruelty I''d say amazon was or still is complicit in It would be the donkey skin trade.( ‘ejiao) I'm not sure i they still are but for the longest time they where one of the largest online world wide seller of donkey skin ( ‘ejiao) in fact you could also call this a human welfare issue as well as it hurts some of the most poorest people in the world.
What exactly is the donkey skin trade? well it is more or less is fueled by the growing demand for ‘ejiao’ . which is a traditional Chinese type "medicine" it is a gelatin type substance made from boiling a donkey's skin this trade is so large that is threatening the global donkey population, deand is so high that is estimated that the global donkey population may be halved in 5 years. Its not just that donkeys are being sold for there skin as many donkeys are stolen from poor farmers across the world to fuel this trade which puts thees farmers livelihoods at risk as theese people rely on there donkeys to help them survive.
The donkeys that are sold and stolen are not humanly slaughtered either and are also subjected to many forms of abuse, many die from starvation and dehydration on the trip to the slaughterhouse. If you would like to learn more please check out the charity "brooke foundation" they are very passionate about ending this crisis and offer far more information than I ever could in this the donkey skin trade crisis seems to very unknown and I thought I'd share it here as amazon in the past has and may still be playing a role in it.
Duuuude.. I hate the whole traditional medicine thing
Thank you for sharing this. I did not know about it.
Great video. I love slazos new content! ♥️
"a long long time ago, before some of you were even born... 2000"
I don't think I've ever felt old for being born in 91, but I sure do now....
Yeah imagine thinking most people are under the age of 23 because you are under the age of 23 🙄
First commercial that came up was an Amazon ad
i used to work at walmart, and they were pretty decent about unions, in that people could promote one openly and you could talk about it whenever you wanted. (i dont think my store had an active union, but we had pretty decent pay, got our breaks on time, and any disputes got settled pretty quick)
Can you cover controversies for stores as well like Wal-Mart that would be interesting .
I worked for Amazon for about a year I loved it the management was nice not to brag but I'm in Michigan and they were paying me 17.50 an hr to start off they give you multiple types of days off and every so often the managers will even ask if we want to go home early and the only time they were hard on us was in peak (around black Friday to Christmas) I actually plan on going back
Great video! And btw, We (Unions) are coming for Amazon!
I'm surprised it's illegal in Australia. But then it's been 15yrs since I've eaten it.
We need to go back a long long time. Goes back to 2000🤣 Men I feel old now...
Same. I'm so glad we're not alone!
5:25 We need to go back, "probably before many of you or he was born." 🤣 I was 21 in 1999
Look I loved my job with Amazon. It was the first job that didn’t make me anxious to go to and it was great pay. The only reason I’m not doing it anymore is because about two weeks ago my entire Team/program and I got laid off with no warning.
At times like these you would think that one of the top companies in the entire world plan ahead or avoid this kind of stuff altogether. I have been working for spark for the last year and I've made more money than I've ever made in my life and it is such a great job you can literally listen to podcasts all day ❤️ I really am sorry to hear that you were laid off so abruptly. I just wanted to givey some food for thought 🙂
Typical corporate slave 🤢 go work for local business instead
I've worked at two Amazon jobs, I'd say it's pretty good too, most level 1 jobs are independent tasks and for 19yr introverted me this is great. And I've done picking in the wearhouse (tho just 2 10 hour shifts a week)
What was your job? Did you have a corporate position or at a warehouse?
In reference to the misinformation point, shouldnt the publication companies be more to blame than amazon? Not that i am trying to absolve them of guilt xD
I agree
Therein lies the rub - Amazon's own self-publishing service is typically being used to publish the misinformation, so Amazon could, if it wanted, take full responsibility by vetting whatever users upload there.
Haven't seen the video but got an amazon ad immediately lmao
I think the union part is the reason they didn´t opened in Denmark since all form of workers have some form of union behind them
You should do a book of the banned amazon video
I wish you knew more about Amazon prices... sent something to my friend and it was a few bucks more

I live close to Petaluma, I don't know what farms, but I do know farms out there had a bird flue outbreak. usually that happens if the chickens are kept in bad conditions. If it happens than all the birds on the farm are killed. I'm not a vegetarian, but they are treated like shit, the more I learn the more Ii lean towards going vegetarian.

Funny how they ban their competitors without a second thought but don’t remove inappropriate/offensive items
did i just see you buy a baby yoda bong?
most youtubers, even commentary, don’t denounce amazon bc they buy stupid shit off it all the time for videos and ironic remakes of ads/challenges
Check out Amy Sterner Nelson and Carleton Nelson for some underhanded dealings involving Amazon and the DOJ
I mean glad i never google symptoms bc of the memes
i didn’t think Elon was in charge of PayPal anymore though?
does that mean i have to buy bottled water?
I wish people would quit trying to censor everything. Let people buy their "I ❤ H!tler" t-shirts and whatever else. It makes it easy to know who to avoid on sight. Now I have to actually talk to these people to find out that they're crazy
I speedran to watch this video lets goooooooooooo
5:32 I'm really old 😳
So that's why Amazon dropped Paypal support.. how petty
Yeye
button your shirt bro.
I think people’s judgement is being clouded a bit here because they WANT it to be him. There are lots of people with that kind of eyebrow in the world, and it will take a lot more to convince me
2000 is before many people were born? 🥴 why am I watching a 22 year olds videos 😭

We don't care cause we don't have Amazon here 🇿🇦 Africa period
does this make you uncomfortable z does not have the name ed at the end of it
Unions are literally the base of social equities in the western world. Unions have done more for human rights than any revolution has. If you live in a country that can vote for a labor party I sincerely implore you to research where they come from and what they stand for and what they have done for social liberties throughout the world. They aren’t perfect but what has any other party or organisation done in comparison! Without unions we wouldn’t have labor and without labor we wouldn’t have unions and without unions we would be working for nothing 6 days a week paying rent to the company who employs you.
I was actually alive in 2000 I was a few months old but alive I was born may 2000

Amazon is a corporation. It can and does "ban" all kinds of books from sale.

Imagine being mad because Amazon sells books you don't like. The first amendment is important people. I don't care if the book spreads what you think is misinformation. It's legal.
The first amendment is specific to the US, not the rest of the world (and Amazon sells around the world) and even if it did, freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequence. If you're going to spread misinformation/hate speech, as these books do, people are perfectly entitled to voicing their concerns. As a private company, Amazon can legally remove those books as well.
