Courtney was also the first CGM youtuber I watched! That technique gave you such good clumps! I need to try the curly custard with the Giovanni gel. The custard gives me nice shine and the gel has a really strong hold, so it sounds like a good combo! Loved the video 🌸💕

Like you, Courtney was my first inspiration but I don’t have the ideal space to do it as she does. It’s hard for me to figure out how to style right side up, so I mix and match and do as best as I can. I love your results!!! Thank you for your videos. ❤

In my opinion, Courtney is amazing BECAUSE she does everything upside down! LOVE HER!!! I've tried it and boy oh boy, I thought my back was going to give out (and my face got sooo red! haha!) BUT, her method works really well if you have trouble with getting volume on the top of your head, like me. Great job!

Get yourself a shower chair, so you can sit in the shower and just lean forward to be upside down! You can also sit and flip for gears for the diffusing part too!
For my routine I just do the washing and conditioning upright and only do the styling upside down. It doesn’t take very long that way and I still get good results! 😊 and I diffuse upright instead of upside down like Courtney, but it was interesting to try copying her exact routine!

I’m considering getting one! So I got a dyson as a gift a few years ago (I’m very lucky to have already had one!) and I currently use the diffuser that comes with it. I’ve been doing CG for 8 months and when I diffuse I still get wacky results a lot of the time! I’m starting to wonder if it is the diffuser 🤔

Your hair looks gorgeous, love the way the curls formed in the back especially. I do a lot of scrunching, too, but I don't do the whole process upside down, and also don't add as much water as you were doing, so that was an interesting thing I might try. You used a lot more product in your hair than I do, wondering if you felt it at the end. I hate the feeling of my hair when I use too much product, so I go easy. Finally, I'm also struggling with frizz, would like to find a (non silicone based) solution for that. Thanks for the video!

You’re probably right- I bet it does have to do with the weather! I overlooked that!
Yes glycerin is so turning into my enemy this winter. Its giving me so much frizz and it's so hard to find products where I live without this ingredient. Glycerin also makes your hair frizzy if your air is really dry. So between my wood stove and living in fog town, I'm having no luck at all lately lol.

Agreed lol! It was kind of nice to be able to do it all upside because I could be dressed and no hair got on my body, but the pros don’t outweigh the exhaustion for me 😅
