Once upon a time my curly hair was so beyond low maintenance. I could shampoo, condition, throw some mousse on and go. My hair looked fab all the time. Now no matter what I do now, my hair looks like crap.. I don’t know why curly hair requires so much time and patience, both of which I don’t have anymore lol
    Your hair looks great!

To be honest I haven't even tried a nice one lol I found one at my local dollar tree and decided to give it a shot, for a buck why not lol. But I'm hooked now, I've stuck with the dollar store so far but I dont like the elastic band on it, I would prefer a covered band. The more I keep up with it though the better my hair has gotten.

if your hair is low in protein, i have heard that making brown rice water and applying it to your hair once a month (letting it sit on your hair for 15 minutes, then rinsing it out) can be good for that. i would suggest greenbeautys video.

For root curl, comb all of your hair back (ik it sounds stupid but it works) after the shower, then flip your hair over upside down and keep scrunching up to the root, flip back up and wait for ur hair to set and start diffusing (keep flipping your hair while diffusing too)

This was a really helpful video for someone who is completely terrible with hair. I have wavy hair. And I've always just brushed it out and then lamented why my hair always is a frizzy mess. I want to actually make my hair nice. And not something I eternally hate.
I doubt mine will ever be this curly or nice as it's just wavy. But if my hair could just be non-frizzy and decent, I would be so psyched. As it is, for years it's just been this thick, extremely frizzy mess. It has done whatever it likes. Which usually means some parts dry in obvious waves, rarely a very loose curl, and other parts are straight or just slightly off being straight. Looks so bad haha

Tip: If you put on a shower cap after applying conditioner, the warmth from the shower/water will help your hair absorb conditioner, especially if you have low porosity hair. Plus if you're not using a hair band, you're less likely to break/damage your hair.

My clumps look just like that when I plop, but my hair is 2a after it dries.
It’s amazing what good products can do. I have to use whatever hair products the rest of my straight haired family uses (my dad’s hair is really short, but you can tell it curls, and my mom has pin straight Asian hair. I have my dad’s fluffy frizz and everyone else has my mom’s silky smooth hair) and it’s the cheapest drugstore shampoo and conditioner with sulphates and silicons topped with the gel the guys use to style their hair (no other creams or oils and no diffuser, just air drying).
So I usually end up brushing it straight when it’s wet and it dries at a 1c, but it’s manageable. If I use the available products it ends up hard and crusty and feels itchy at night so I can’t sleep. I’m going to need to save up money to buy myself some good hair products, but I don’t want to waste it on something too expensive that will run out before I can save up enough to get more.

I have doubt on top section is it after we finger coil that we apply the cream smoosh and then apply gel..but for bottom section we applied the cream first and then we finger coil and then we applied gel

It was a little mess on my head 😐
No, I don't think that works for me.
Now trying the Topdown Method. Sounds awesome. Great videos, lovely girl 💕

I love this method, it really helped my curls! My thing is that diffusing gives my hair volume and defined curls, but makes it very frizzy.

Me too! I researched and found some videos on HOVER diffusing (dry roots first) vs PIXIE because the latter dries the ends too much and encourages frizz. I have yet to prove this works for me as I’m always in a rush and air fry...oops I mean, dry -yet I still get frizz!!!

I hope i can find those products here in the Philippines. Curly ladies here tend to have their hair rebonded. Somehow, having long and straight hair is still a beauty standard here. I stopped rebonding mine 4 years ago been trying to use sufate and paraben free hair products which is really hard to find here. My hair is still a mess. And I just want to get a rebond again and cut it short.

      How’d it go?! 🤞🏻

@@typeofbeautiful4703 Okay so it went pretty well. Now that I’ve tried it, there are a couple things that I’d do different. For example, I still had some curls go frizzy and flat in the back so I think I needed to use a bit more product than I did the first time. Also my hair is fairly long and it took me over an hour to diffuse it so maybe I didn’t get enough of the water out in the beginning steps? But over all, the process worked! I got those spiraling curls. And I usually don’t get many nicely formed curls because my head turns into a frizzy mess. So this was way better! Thank you.

Awesome, AWESOME look!!!!....I adore this SO MUCH!!!! I know you showed the products as you went along, but it would be VERY helpful if they were listed separately! Oh, and what diffuser are you using?? Thanx for the technique....Take care! 😊💗💗....Subscribed! 😎 EDIT: Idk what it is about my stringy___ curls, but this amazing technique FAILED for me! 😭😭💔

Hi! 💕 Does anyone knows if this technique would work if air drying? I always air dry! Thank you so much! Have a great hair day! ✨

Amazing video! Thank you for that! If I don't use the diffuser, should I just leave my hair in the T-shirt for the night?

That's what I did the first time I tried it. I got up and had beautiful curls. Sadly, I haven't been able to replicate those curls.

Beautiful results! What is the brand of your diffuser? It seems to be a good one, I’d love to check it out.
