I really think "Accept your waves" and "do whatever works for you" are two of the most important pieces if information. So many people try for a while and quit because they see a few radical transformations and think that they can make their 2b hair turn into 3a curls. It doesn't really work that way unless your hair has been extremely damaged by heat and/or bleaching. Others get frustrated and quit because they are trying for match their hair or lifestyle to "one size fits all" system instead of adapting the system to suit them. Conquering these two things really has half the battle.
Thank you so much for this! Our hair type is similar and I often get frustrated and then unmotivated to make my hair look nice. All your videos are helpful, but this one in particular lays everything out so plain and simple!
Oh my gosh! So helpful! It makes sense now. New to CG method. Watched curly hair videos, bought the same products they use, wondering why my hair looked bad. I'm wavy, like you. Duh! Will be watching this again! You gave me hope! Thank you!
Really helpful, thank you! I'm a wavy but find I need to use slightly heavier products because of how much I swim (a swim cap only goes so far), so lifestyle definitely factors in for me. If I take a break from swimming, I can get away with shampoo, light conditioner, and mousse/gel. When swimming regularly, I need a heavier conditioner and curl cream.
Yes, yes and *yes!* Less is more with my fine, wavy hair and I'm OK with that! Today I just used Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray (very lightweight) and Raw Curls Styling Mousse/Foam. I do wash every day (always have), so it doesn't matter if my waves lose their definition at the end of the day. I have tried doing refreshes, but either I'm not _doing it right_ or it's just not for me. 🤷🏼♀️ I do also use a (bamboo) silk pillowcase, which I never thought I would like but I *really* do! 😬
I follow content creaters with all different hair types from 1a to 4c even if they don't match my hair type. Your hair type is far different from mine (mine is wavy) but love your input on taking care of wavy hair! Wavy hair needs border curly hair needs but definitely has its own tips and vice versa
@@JordanFaith by different I meant different needs. My hair definitely needs oils and deep conditioners and heavier products than yours does as it's course and color treated
I love, love, love this video. I’ve found my best products from your recommendations! Recently I tried the Pineapple Curls Cream with Cake Mousse and it was amazing!!! Thank you so much for sharing wavy wisdom. 💕 I am still a little lost on the protein moisture balance. I over moisturized my hair pretty quickly, following the curly girl method (about a month in)- and then I got too much protein. So I’ve gone back to moisturizing, but lightweight (wavy friendly) products and clarifying every two weeks instead of monthly. I think the products I have been using are too heavy and moisturizing, so I hope this helps…
Great video! I have curly at bottom and straight on top. For the last year that I have been trying this cg meathod what works for my hair the best is Giovanni - 50/50 shampoo, smooth as silk conditioner ( has protien) their gel and foam works good for my hair. The curlsmith unsented curl cream is the only thing that works for my curls also their shine oil is so lite it works for crunching out the crunch and for refresh which gets rid of my frizz. The only Styling for my curls that works is the swing method by curly swavy Courtney. I get the most curls with my straight hair on top. It is starting to wave and curl some. Using the brush on my hair just makes it straighter. Scruching in the conditioner and swinging the hair from side to side works for me. Hope this helps someone.
Jordan, are you still decideing on whether or not to do fitness videos? My two loves are hair and fitness haha. Would so love to see something on fitness from you 😃.
What is the deal with the scalp being so itchy?! I never ver had this problem before in my life until I switched shampoos and conditioners to wavy hair shampoos. Why does it do this now!?!
Could be from build up or styling product on your scalp or one of the ingredients just being irritating for your scalp. I’d just switch back to whatever you were using before :)

Awesome wavy video 🌊🌊🌊
Thank you!!
custards and hard hold gels work great for me but I do have very thick, dry hair

I’m actually in the process of editing one right now! Hope to have it up soon 😊❤️
@@JordanFaith yay, so excited! 😃
Do you use gel?
Not always but yes, sometimes!
I aim for definition but wish I had volume! 🤣
You and me both lol!!
