Hi everyone !! ❤️ thank you for watching !! I wanted to explain something I explained horribly in this video and a lot of you are asking questions about.
when I was explaining the Shea moisture protein power treatment I made it appear to be a dupe for a cheap bond builder. That’s not what I was trying to insinuate. My apologies ! I was simply trying to explain I get the same results of bringing spring back into my hair with the protein power treatment as well as the olaplex bond building treatment. I get the same results from both. So while I get the same results, they are not similar ingredient wise. While they both have protein, the olaplex product is an actual bond builder. my apologies for the confusion 💛💛💛💛💛😘 love you , thank you for watching XOXO

Hey miss India! I recently started my curly hair journey, and was really confused at what to do for my hair.
My mom started me on my journey, buttttttttttt, she follows all of the directions in the curly girl method book.
She told me I didn’t need anything but the oil on my head and a spray bottle for my hair, and that I shouldn’t use shampoo anymore🤨
As a 15 year old girl with oily hair that I am told “smells” when I don’t wash it, the no shampoo law, was one I wasn’t going to follow.
So, with no one else to turn to, I turned to youtube! That’s when I found your channel! I was so glad I was able to find a person who both believed in God and was an expert in curls! I was very excited! I went to the store and bought the Shea shampoo and conditioner and the Aussie gel, and also through in the microfiber towel😉 Thank you so much for starting this channel! Your humor and wisdom on curls has meant the world to me!
P:S I was wondering if you would do a video on how to apply gel? Thanks

try to find out if your hair is imbalanced in moisture or protein (many videos on UA-cam explain everything) and try to make sure its balanced,
don't be touching your hair while it dries
when diffusing (if you are ) try the hovering method by (Manes by Mell) here on UA-cam

In terms of protein treatments, the Shea moisture one is what I always have in the shower. I use a little bit like once a week with my normal conditioner. The curlsmith one is like your once a month protein kick or when you notice your hair is over moisturized. OLAPLEX is the saving grace for actually rebuilding bonds, need a haircut or noticing more split ends. I have all three but they have different uses for me.

Should wait 3 days after getting highlights to shampoo, and 2 weeks before deep conditioning. The color needs time to set. You can use a mask as a conditioner but don’t let it sit more than 2 minutes for the first couple weeks after getting color. It opens your cuticle and lets the color out.

Girl, you are so from the South. "The bigger the hair, the closer the God" is so southern! As always you are just so adorable. I am intrigued that Maui Moisture has a gel. I can't wait to try it. I use all the products you featured except the Maui Moisture cream. I LOVE the SM 100% Coconut conditioner AND shampoo. They are perhaps my favorite drugstore product. I hope you and Daniel are doing well.

Even though it's a good amount of steps (which if you have bleached and wavy hair, you kinda have to do quite a bit of work), but I love how you make it feel very doable! I'll sometimes watch other hair routine videos and feel so overwhelmed but I keep coming back to yours because it makes me feel like it's all doable! Thank you!!

I’m 63 and don’t have money for those expensive hair products. I think it’s kind of silly to spend crazy amounts of money on something that immediately gets washed down the drain. I’ve used really expensive products in the past, and drugstore gets better all the time, so I’m sticking with drugstore. It also allows me to try more options.

    • @luckytlha

My curly hair remembers everything like how I slept on it and pulling it back to wash face at night. She gets great volume. I wonder first day after highlighting/getting it cut or first day after washing. I wash my hair daily with conditioner. My hair has to be wet well to forget.

    • @kunya16
      @kunya16 3 роки тому +3

Mine is flatter and more defined on wash day, voluminous on day 2 and then I slowly lose volume after that. I use light products, a good gel and fluff my roots after its dry.

Protein treatments and bond builders are actually different! They can and should be used in conjunction with each other. The bond builders attach the proteins together, they don’t add proteins. So for max efficiency you should use both.

I used to highlight my hair as blonde as you are. I also had almost the exact texture & curl pattern as well as amount of volume and the illusion of thickness. Started with foils many years ago and then changed to balayage. I haven't done any of these treatments to my hair in over a year. Somewhat due to covid and also due to finances. Now my hair is it's natural color. A much darker blonde. The curl pattern has changed tho! I've noticed it''s not as fluffy and gets weighted down quicker. I'll have to try those lighter products you mentioned OR get back to the salon and get my highlights back again. This video makes me miss it a lot!
