      Thanks for comment. I don't have any Stingers in stock, but I will be doing a run down of our mid-range price bows ($450-$850) in a week or so. Included in that will be the PSD Drive and Drive X. A little more performance than the Stinger but still highly adjustable and affordable. Until then, keep it Inside Out!

    Great review brother. Thank you for explaining everything in full detail. I’m actually thinking about getting the traverse, that bow looks and shoots awesome. I shot it a few weeks back and enjoyed it. Felt good to me, considering I’m 6’2 with a 31 inch draw length. Thanks again for the awesome video man!

    So far not only the best review about the Traverse currently available but also one of the most comprehensive reviews of a compund bow I ever saw! Loved the explanations about the top hat system, that's the kind of small details that the layman person starting in archery is unaware and learning about helps a lot.

    Early 2021, went to my local store to look at a Hoyt Torrex XT long draw as I pull 31”, I was told that the orders from Hoyt were a couple months out and the store owner showed me a Mathews Traverse they had on their closeout wall. I took about 6 shots with it and I was sold.

      The Bow God I can tell you that I recently tested it at Lancaster Archery and I liked the draw. No big drop at the end. The back wall was stiff but not too stiff because I was using the string stops. I also loved the feeling of the riser/bow in my hand. It’s got a nice weight to it. The riser metal feels super stiff and strong. The only thing I did notice was the bow leapt out of my bow hand after the shot. As compared to the Mathews Traverse the Traverse had almost no movement after the shot. I also wish Prime would work on increasing the speed of their bows. Their longer brace heights on shorter bows and their shorter brace heights on longer bows doesn’t make sense to me. If they increased the speed of their bows and worked on more vibration dampening I’d be a Prime owner.

    I already have what i consider to be my "perfect bow". yet every year i STILL get caught up in the hype of "new bow month" LOL. i am like a kid in a candy store wanting to try out everything. the Traverse looks like a nice bow, i have not handled one but i am looking for a dedicated 3D/target bow and this one is high up on the list.

      I haven't had a chance to run any arrows through the chronograph at 60lbs, but I can tell you that in my experience, you can expect anywhere from a 12fps-18fps difference in speed with a 10lb increase/decrease. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, I will be reviewing a lot of new products in the coming weeks as items ordered at the ATA show start rolling in! In the meantime, keep it Inside Out!

    I just bought my Traverse this weekend, and I'm loving it. It came down to this or the Helix, and since this was on-sale for $100 less, and was quieter than the Hoyt, I went for it. Both are great bows, but I felt more comfortable shooting the Traverse. Perhaps the longer brace height made it feel more consistent, or maybe that awesome grip, but I was shooting 1" groups with no sights.

  • @kevinwright8955

    After much deliberation and shooting, I chose the Mathews Traverse. I shot the Prime 5, Revolt X, Mathews TRX 36, Hoyt Ultra and Elite Ritual 35. The Traverse just felt better in my hand and seems to fit me best. I'm looking forward to its arrival in a couple of weeks.

    Shot both the vertix and traverse today both awesome and smooth but the draw on the traverse was a little more smooth and not as stiff by a little but a easy pull at 65 pounds but ended up buying the traverse jyst held better on target for me all black today and got it in order because the shop I went to didn't have one because he has been selling the traverse more then the vertix but both awesome bows and can't go wrong with either

  • @donovanstockton44
    @donovanstockton44 5 років тому

    A very fair and entertaining review. I have seen variation in speed testing. Usually an average or median of multiple shots would be used. Clearly for time sake, one shot per spec was done. Overall I thought the results say the Traverse is a great bow. I myself went with the Vertix and love it. I have the H32 and Triax and they too are great. When I shot the Vertix for the first time I didn't even know it had gone off it was so quiet and vibration free.
    Would you say the Traverse is light years ahead of the H32 6?

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Donovan!! I don't think it's light years ahead of the 32, but for me it aimed a lot better and was smoother on the shot. The Vertix is a great bow, you'll love it!
      As for the chrono, I agree it's best to take an average. This particular chrono seems to be very consistent...very rarely do I see more than foot or two variation. Thanks again for watching! Good shooting to you

    Awesome review!!! You are very knowledgeable for a guy who guy that pulls back a bow with the wrong hand. 🤚 just kidding. How about the Hoyt Rx3? You make me want to try a Traverse , though.

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  5 років тому +1

      Haha thanks for the comment! The RX3 is a phenomenal bow. It draws smoother than any of the Mathews and is very comparable in speed. It's has a little more noise on the shot and isn't quite as dead in the hand, but it aims like an absolute rock, which is something to be considered. I'll be posting some reviews on the RX3, RX3 ULTRA, and the respective Helix models in the coming weeks. Thanks for watching! Until next time, keep it Inside Out.

  • @kennethbolinski2701

    Would love to see same speed test with a sixty pound Traverse, maybe with 75% let off.

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  4 роки тому

      The let off won't change the speed any. But basically subtract 16-20fps from all the speeds in this video if you want to know what a 60lb'er would do!

  • @virabhadra2
    @virabhadra2 2 роки тому

    The draw length range for Traverse is pretty large: 26.5"-32.5" according to the specs.
    Do you know how the speed is changing inside the range?

  • @toddprobasco9728
    @toddprobasco9728 5 років тому

    Question. Since the Traverse can be a hunting bow and 3D bow. Will the bow need to be tuned switching from fat shaft arrows to .204 diameter arrows? Or could I run two different sights and arrow setups, and get along fine?

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  5 років тому

      Ideally you'd need to tune between fat shafts and smaller shafts.

    • @zachattack4982
      @zachattack4982 4 роки тому

      I don't know what you mean by "increasing string angle" but if you are asking if the string angle is more comfortable with long draw lengths you would be correct. The string angle feels like that of a 34-35" ata bow.

    Hi! newborn here and I'm just curious about why you said for indoor/ target shooting you said throw on some long bars, why did you say that? I see the Olympic archers use long bars too, why do they but hunter use 1 or 2 short bars/ stabilizers? Forgive me if I said anything incorrectly.

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  4 роки тому +1

      Longer bars are for target archery. They help hold the bow more steady. You wouldn't use them for hunting though because they're way too hard to carry around the woods

  • @capricornmagic63

    I watched the Nxt 33 reviews and it looks like the Traverse has a smoother and easier draw.

    • @Knifestories
      @Knifestories 4 роки тому

      Funny you compared those 2. I have a Traverse and I love mine. At 70 pounds the last non switch weight bow Mathews has made. And the draw on it is way smoother than anything ever since. With all that said my local dealer got in one of the NTN versions, I went to try it out and walked out with it. The draw in my opinion is smoother all around on the evolve cams. Easier to draw and hold on target for me. The Traverse still is by far the smoothest drawing Mathews, just a tad bit heavier to pull. The NTN has also less shock, and is quieter than my Traverse. Both 33 inches ata, and all around the same bow pretty much. I will never sell my Traverse or my NTN. Can't go wrong either way.

  • @mitchkubacki5286

    What do you think with this vs elite ritual 35 ?

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  5 років тому

      Most 33"-35" bows make great crossover bows ( target or hunting). I haven't had the chance to play with the Ritual much, but Elites are great shooting bows. They are a little harder to tune than Mathews (from a bow technician stand point), but they shoot great when tuned.
      Everything on the Traverse just works the way it should. Easy to tune, stays in tune, fast, smooth.... the list goes on haha. Granted, that's a slightly biased opinion, but it's hard not like that bow.

  • @patrickstar5596

    Hey would you recommend a Halon 32 or this Traverse?

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  5 років тому +1

      Both shoot great, but I felt like the Traverse aimed a little better and I really like the new grip. Same cam system, and they both draw really smooth. If you haven't shot one I'd suggest getting your hands on one and give it a run. Like I said in the video, whatever feels best to YOU is what you'll want to shoot. Thanks for the comment!

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  5 років тому

      Yeah it's a never ending cycle of the "next best thing" in archery. I have a long draw length (29.5-30.0) depending on the set up and usually don't get along well with short bows, but the Triax broke the mold. I shot it all last year and was really impressed with how well it aimed and shot. Definitely had to play with my stabilizer set up a little though to get it to aim the way I liked. If any pro shops in your area take trade-in's, you can still good for Triax's and then get into a new model for a only $200-$300.
