    This wisdom is helpful for stoic growth. I don’t believe that practicing stoicism in order to deal with a narcissist will change a narcissist. They’re incapable of self awareness, reflection, realization, or admitting that they’re anything less than perfect.

      Many decades ago, I had nowhere to turn for this kind of information. I didn't know I married a narcissist until six months ago when I began viewing stoicism videos online. Not only did I marry a narcissist, but I finally realized that a sister is one as well. Do they ever change? NO! I had to leave the situation after two years with an abuser. This video will help viewers identify a narcissist in their life and then they should get as far away as possible from them. No one should have to suffer being controlled by a narcissist. It's hell. I recovered and enjoy a peaceful and joy filled life during my senior years, far away from both narcissists.

    Why are there SO MANY narcissists out there?! Actually they are everywhere, to one degree or another. We have to look for the signs and when they show up, break that relationship asap. I’m 71 so I have met quite a few of them through the years. Good luck!!

    Getting the Narcissist’s speech out of your head is of utmost importance. They could be dead and gone, yet still abusing you via the repetitive phrases of negativity that will continue to haunt you unless a conscious effort is made to remove/replace these thoughts.

    • @stoicseveryday

      You're absolutely right; the impact of a narcissist's words can linger long after they're gone. It's a constant battle to free oneself from those repetitive, negative phrases. It takes conscious effort and self-compassion to replace them with healthier thoughts. Recognizing this is the first step towards healing and reclaiming our mental peace."

I’ve allowed a narcissist to jumble my head up like a jigsaw puzzle and anytime I try to put the pieces back together they come and jumble it up again. 18:33 Narcissist'ss are also very insecure. They experience resentment and envy because they were starved of genuine love and affection. It is said that they were seriously neglected, psychological and emotionally. This has led to them becoming this way. Remember protect yourself but don't lose your compassion. They are often empty without having this type of behaviour. It's very sad. Be boundaried and believe in your self.

    My bf's niece behavior is like that when we have family gatherings specially outing. She did guilt tripping, i can read her actions and know every details of her. She's jealous i might get her bf because i look younger that her but she's younger than me. My bf is her uncle i can't do what she's thinking, its immature mindset for me and unempath, my bf told me his niece is matured and intelligent according to her actions for me she's not, she doesnt know what is wrong and what right, she the only acquaintance i have encoutered thinking about those things for me. But its okay for me, I know myself i have respect for myself and others have respect me. I just want to look young and to be a cool mom and wife for my kids and husband soon. Fitness doesnt mean flirting but for healthy living.

    Thanks for this wisdom. I am going through a separation from which another family member is a narcissist. It seems that my partner has been groomed to turn on me and run away from responsibility and accountability. We are selling the house and it feels that most of the responsibility is thrown off on me. I am trying hard to see what I have done that’s cause all this. I look back in my life and see many narcs. I guess I’m teaching people how to treat me. I really never learned to stand up for myself with these folks I just continued to blame me in one way or another. Getting away from them has helped only to attract more. What am I missing here. As of now I don’t know how to best navigate my life situation. I want to change the pattern and the outcome. I have spent many years in trying to heal myself. I have not been to a psycologist. I haven’t had the resources to keep one long enough to unravel this mess. I will continue to listen to this video and trust I can make the change necessary to move to where I want to be. I’m tired of the hog pin with the swine! Thanks for listening.

    • @stoicseveryday
      @stoicseveryday  5 днів тому +2

      Yes we have people with disorder but it makes things difficult for you, to save yourself while dealing with such people you have to come up with some tricks ..right, by torturing I mean simply using those tricks, because in the end it's your mental health that you need to take care of right..?

      I just think it’s an evocative title that appeals to the baser instincts of your perceived audience.
      As a hard determinist I would just advocate for trying to distance yourself from such people - family as close as parents and siblings included - unless they are your children/step-children and you could play a positive role in perhaps softening the worst of their behaviour during their childhood development.
