  • Being able to acquire food from the landscape is an essential bushcraft or wilderness living skill. Today I am targeting beaver using modern traps to bring in more food for my camp and fur that I can use. It's always important to follow all hunting and trapping regulations.
Thank you to all who watch. More coming soon.

I love the series, but I would love to see some longer videos of each day or week along with these short tutorials if you ever chose to do a series like this again.

The reality of bush survival, no supermarkets no tofu. More people should learn these skills and understand more about their food supply. I have missed the trapping series you used to run.

Enjoying the complete series of these bushcraft videos. What ever became of the Log cabin that you built? I watched the 5th episode, and was keen to learn how it was waterproofed. Hope it has survived. Thanks for all of these tremendous instructional and scenic postings.

Some nice looking runs, interesting way of setting those. I would set mine with the trip wires hanging down into the trap not up. Is there a certain reason you do this? Good luck, and will be patiently waiting to see the results. Stay safe out there.

This is solely my opinion. I used to hunt quite often but I've gotten away from killing wild free roaming animals, thus this vedio does not interest me one damn bit!

It’s better to enslave the animals and have them live horrible lives before consuming them? Yeah that’s a unique opinion.

Yeah that was painful to watch you set those conibears!!! Your staking them wrong! You need 2 bigger stakes (almost the same size as the hole in the spring) and you but them through the 2 round loops of the springs. That is how they are intended to be set. If your stakes go through the spring holes it is sturdier and it is a lot easier to adjust the height of the trap.
