Life of a Woodsman - Processing Beavers for Fur and Food

  • This is a quick look into the tools I use to break down wild game when I'm in the backcountry. A very basic tool kit that's light, easy to carry, and doesn't take up much room inside of a pack. Now that these beavers are processed I'm ready to begin cooking up a delicious beaver stew! Stay tuned.
Thank you to everyone who watches!

Figured the actual processing would be off camera, no worries as I get to see plenty on the Outdoor channels on Dish. Meat looks delicious, what time is supper? A smoker will be a welcome addition to the camp as well as a hide rack for pelts. Maybe those videos will be a bit longer😉 Congratulations!

Great video Riley, but could you do an R18 version where we see the actual breakdown? As someone who has processed turkeys, geese, chickens, and rabbits, I'd be very interested in the specifics of the job. And for those who think all food arrives in styrofoam and Seranwrap, they can skip the whole thing! Loving the whole Woodsman series though, kind regards from the UK.

I'm not a troll. I subscribed because youtube recommended a video from this channel on camping so I subscribed. Then I saw a dead animal video this morning in my subscriptions.
I'm a wilderness hiker and that is why I subscribed but murdering animals for no freaking reason really annoys me. We are not surviving in the wilderness anymore. The pioneers nearly drove beavers into extinction along with otters and a whole lot of other animals that God put here on this earth. We have technology now to grow ample food. There is no reason to go out and murder your brothers and sisters with fur. Peace out buddy. Hope I never meet you in the wilderness. @@jefflink4671

That animal is a genius stroke in evolution and engineering! It helps the ecosystem with its dam creation! They build predator resistant homes! And it’s allll just encoded into their DNA! Of alll the critters out there just let these genetically designed engineers have their peace! AITA here? C’mon!!! They’re cute and diligent and hard working too!!! 🦫🦫🦫
