New to this whole mechanical keyboard but i just ordered my first one k618.. and with all these mods floating around, I'm just curious if it's possible to lube the switches? Make it less stock sounding?
This review was very cool, however, one thing I don't think I understand, the backlight colors are constantly being alternated or you can configure a single color? The devicedriver's software allows some customization of keys?
I cant see whether my caps lock or num lock light is on the k580, help? Also, the volume roller doesnt lower or raises volume. Play/skip buttons dont work as well. Any help with all this?
if you open it up, you can probably search the battery rating and get a replacement from aliexpress. its not that hard to re-wire/solder these things unless you never opened up any electronic device in your life.
What's wrong with the keycaps? Is it for being low-profile? There are few companies making low-profile keycaps. Cannot I replace the keycaps with one of these? Or there are other issues as well?
I tried changing the keycaps with aregular one. Since the switches are low profile, the regular keycaps have a short space from the board. So it feels as though it doesn't go all the way down. And regular keycaps doesn't secure on the switches properly. Pops off sometimes. So no, keycaps fpr this should be low key/ thin key caps.
Hi. So I just received this keyboard today and I use a lot of excel for work. For some reason, I can't Ctrl+A on the keyboard when editing data in the cell. I can CTRL+A just fine elsewhere. Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
That's not a bad way to go as long as you can return one after. Right now i'm using the Roccat Pyro as my main keyboard. It's nice to be able to control my mouse (Roccat Kone Pro Air) and keyboard together with one software app.
So i recently got my keybored and i was playing a game on my laptop the keybored was doing fine and nothing wrong it was fully charged as well i was playing for a good hr then all the sudden the whole keybored wouldn't respond but it was still getting light from my computer and connect but wouldn't respond i also noticed the M light was flashing a light and it wasn't doing that before i TRIDE everything but nothing seems to work ?
Just got this and tried it out. Connection with the usb 2.4 key was a nightmare! Many issues like: it would only register the first key i type, or it would miss keys that i input. I had the usb c cable plugged in to power it since it was brand new, but that shouldn't interfere with the other usb wireless connection? Would the Bluetooth connection be more stable i wonder? The dropped keys and bad connection persisted whether the usb c was plugged into my laptop or plugged into a different power source. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm quite disappointed. I tried the logitec g915 before this k618, but the software was compete garbage and wouldn't let me program different profiles as advertised. I hated how expensive the logitec was for it to still be buggy and fail to deliver features. Sadly i think this red dragon keyboard performs much worse.

New to this whole mechanical keyboard but i just ordered my first one k618.. and with all these mods floating around, I'm just curious if it's possible to lube the switches? Make it less stock sounding?
Does anyone know the specs and dimensions of the battery used in this unit ? need to source an electrically compatible replacement that will fit
This review was very cool, however, one thing I don't think I understand, the backlight colors are constantly being alternated or you can configure a single color? The devicedriver's software allows some customization of keys?
Yes, for example, I leave it white.
I leave mine in red, i suppose it will consume less energy and will make the rgb leave longer.
If I want to change the switches, which should fit ?
In wireless mode, the keyboard light turns off after one minute when it is idle. What should I do to keep it always on?
did u fix it?
Will this backlight solid white?
Is Pulsar US ANSI Low Profile keycaps will fit on this keyboard?
I cant see whether my caps lock or num lock light is on the k580, help? Also, the volume roller doesnt lower or raises volume. Play/skip buttons dont work as well. Any help with all this?
great review, but, unfortunately, this keyboard costs ~100+ euros here. any alternatives?
Try to grab one from Aliexpress, it should be around 60€ with shipping and taxes included
@@dainiusvysniauskas2049 thanks reminding me about Aliexpress, but that would be around 90 with 21% VAT
@@besmart9624 Aliexpress includes the VAT in the price for stuff under 150 euros or so :)
@@dainiusvysniauskas2049 thanks, didn't know that 😀
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENTER IN BIOS WITH K618 ? ALL OTHER BROTHERS CANT
Keycaps are Abs or pbt?
Can this work also just cabled with no wireless enabled ?
Sad thing about this keyboard is scroller doesnt work when it is in sleep
U you have to click a key to wake it up then use the scroller
Hey, you sure it's "Programmable" and not "Recordable"?
hey , do you know how to turnoff the sleep mode of the keyboard?
Been searching for a solution for this and until now not found it
¿has save battery mode? i bought it but idont know, no information
can you use regular keycaps in this keyboard?
Nope, only low profile keycaps
got mine around feb 2022 and on 2023 it started ghosting.
This or the asus rog scope nx wireless deluxe is the best?
can someone explain how to map the macros? I'm a bit confused
Does anyone know what the indicators "1" , "A" and "Download Icon" on the top right on the keyboard means?
A = Caps Lock
Arrow = Scroll Lock
Anyone here knows hot yo turn off the RGB with some keys? (Not the scrollbar)
someone know how to keep my backlight on while AFK?
propriety battery means you can't replace it when it dies.....
if you open it up, you can probably search the battery rating and get a replacement from aliexpress. its not that hard to re-wire/solder these things unless you never opened up any electronic device in your life.
I didnt understand the part about 2.4 gz connection. Is there a way to use the 2.4GHz wirelessly?
2.4ghz is the wave frequency. it's wireless, but faster than bluetooth
Hi. How to create macros????
What mouse is that bro?
How can I get it in India ?
Does it work for Macos?
Does the scroll wheel also mute?
what type of switch it uses?
Works with XBOX SERIES X?
It looks like uses gateron Low profile switches can you confirm that ? Or is it redragon low profile switches ?
Outemu low profile actually
@@TontonGahu i'm looking for 104 hot swappable competitive gaming keyboard
What's wrong with the keycaps? Is it for being low-profile? There are few companies making low-profile keycaps. Cannot I replace the keycaps with one of these? Or there are other issues as well?
I tried changing the keycaps with aregular one. Since the switches are low profile, the regular keycaps have a short space from the board. So it feels as though it doesn't go all the way down. And regular keycaps doesn't secure on the switches properly. Pops off sometimes. So no, keycaps fpr this should be low key/ thin key caps.
@@jannokill090 Low profile keycaps are available now in the market. It won't be an issue anymore.
@@saifuzzaman7176 yup. Im trying find good ones though.
Hi. So I just received this keyboard today and I use a lot of excel for work. For some reason, I can't Ctrl+A on the keyboard when editing data in the cell. I can CTRL+A just fine elsewhere. Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
Changes the switches on those keys
It's this one you like better than the vishnu?
Yeah I like the low profile design and feel
@@ECPUz I just ordered both to see which I like better. Are you currently still using this low pro one??
Did you get it to work normally again? And do you still use it? Was debating on buying it, but iffy now after reading some of these comments.
Around here I can only connect using 2.4 and bluetooth. Even with the USB-C cable connected, the keyboard does not recognize it.
Do you still use it? Was debating on buying it, but iffy now after reading some of these comments.
