It's funny how everyone in the final round put so many unnecessary letters into their words. Like the letters could be 'ng' and they would say something ridiculous like atomogluceragenicizing
You get an extra life for each time you use up all the letters of the alphabet (progress carries on between words), so the longer words you use, the faster you gain more lives.
I have never been so invested in a keyboard type off. That rematch with Kunaistorms had me on the edge of my seat, especially after getting emotionally invested in the beginning when he comes off super rude! Great video!!
Qwerty actually wasn’t the first layout it was the layout used for the Remington No. 1 the first commercially successful typewriter and became popular because of the Remington No. 2 and the standard because of the IBM Selectric. The first layout was actually alphabetical which was changed a number of times over 11 years until eventually Qwerty was created mainly to slow down typing because the mechanical character arms kept jamming when people typed too quickly
If memory serves me correctly part of the layout was done so that the arms would not jam, I don't remember anymore exactly what that entailed but there was some sort of analysis done based on text and which keys would follow eachother commonly and space them in a way where the character arms would not bind as often. At any rate, I read something about this basically 30+ years ago, in some book that had a small section about why computer keyboards are qwerty and what the previous ideas were and why etc. if I remember correctly it was not only about typing speed but that the keys that commonly follow eachother had a lower chance of binding if they were positioned closer or further away from eachother in the arc. Something like that. Or that it was part of the consideration at any rate, I could be misremembering the thing or have misunderstood it then as well because I was quite young when I read it and if I recall correctly it was written in a somewhat hard to decipher way.
Bro I used to think that why do people like typing games but after seeing you play I was baffled. Not only do these players (and you) know so many words, but the speed that you type at-with such a strange keyboard-is impressive and left me in awe. You gained a new follower after today and changed my perspective about such games. Your video really made typing seem so much fun and exciting!

UA-cam videos ideos like this are in a category all on their own; they aren't made, they're *crafted* . Skillfully crafted. The editing, the original music, the cinematography, the scriptwriting, the storyline, your narration-- I can't believe that what I w̶a̶t̶c̶h̶e̶d̶ experienced just now was a 20 minute UA-cam video and not a short, award-winning documentary. This is a masterpiece.

just wanted to stop by and say that the production quality in this is crazy. You normally pay for content of this quality. Thanks for taking the time and for the great amount of information.
I didn't even catch this the first time I watched it, but the villain? From the boss battle? That's the same person who insulted pingu. God, defeating them must've felt exhilarating. Amazing video. I genuinely can't stop thinking about it, and I don't even know why. The editing, the way you speak, the messages you offer. This video has stirred much in me, and I really can't think of anything to say in order to adequately describe the gratitude I feel. Thank you.
Man, I did not expect a keyboard review to be as hype as this ended up being. I'm not even really interested in different keyboard types if I'm going to be honest, but you really hooked me for the whole video. Great job my dude, keep doing what you're doing, earned a new subscriber. That villain battle editing was absurdly good too, you've killed it for real.

This is something I never would have expected to find so compelling. I mean, I'm a nerd who has tried and failed to use Dvorak before, but particularly the typing games - I HATED learning to touch-type and had no idea that typing games were a thing people do - you opened my eyes!
I’m currently learning to use workman much more intuitive than Dvorak. Dvorak is great if you can get the hang of it but the key places don’t make intuitive sense so it’s much harder to get proficient with. For reference i was able to type at ~15 wpm right from the start with workman and after just a day if practice i was getting between 20-30. My normal typing speed is only around 70wpm. I think i’ll surpass my QWERTY speed in just a month or two as i’m already able to use workman for everyday task(after about 3 days) without to much struggle. It is slower and can be frustrating at times but most daily typing task go pretty smoothly.
Very cool video! I developed RSIs in both hands/wrists back in 2017, so I got a Kinesis Advantage and a vertical mouse and those helped a fair amount. I'm fully dependent on the vertical mouse, but I can typically go without the Kinesis. I have been interested in a split keyboard though so it was interesting to see your experience with it.

This got me thinking about what the normal would be in the future of typing. Before the video, I was thinking 'I would not want to switch to a keyboard like that' despite seeing a few videos on UA-cam testing and using these types already, but after watching this video, it made me consider wanting to try one out as a staple keyboard. And this video really was well put together, it just captivated me. At the beginning I was thinking of how the aesthetic of a lot of videos have been calm and peaceful and kept plain and minimalistic, which was something I enjoyed but just somehow thought of while watching this video, but then it upgraded from something standard but pleasing to a video I randomly came upon that really stood out to me and would most likely be very memorable.
as a gamer, I never want any different keyboard it would all suck especially ones with less keys like when I play PSO2 every key even my numpad and trigger something in the gane the whole keyboard us needed for me to play so having less keys literally sounds like a nightmare and I hate the idea of it .
6:09 this is actually happened to me as well. I know QWERTY and learned Colemak and I was trying to type in Hungarian with both of them, and I found I was actually able to do it faster in colemak (despite me being faster with QWERTY in English). I think it has something to do with the fact that for the second keyboard layout you learn, you’re much better at consciously switching to it so whenever you’re trying to type in say, another language, you’re better at finding the exact letter you see on screen.
i once used an incredible 'disabled' keyboard. It had two handles. and that was it The left selected the letter group, 8 positions. the right selected the letter, 8 positions, so together there were 64 separate options. very fast once you got used to it. letters arranges so you could roll one control through common letter sequences.
This was super interesting and well made. I didn’t really have any expectations, but this was super awesome an would have been well beyond any expectations I might have had. Good job!

Thank you.

"The villain appears" part has to be the best edit I've seen this entire month. So needlessly clean, beautiful.
The fact that this video even had a comeback moment and a rival kind of feeling just makes this video a 10/10
Man, I did not expect a keyboard review to be as hype as this ended up being. I'm not even really interested in different keyboard types if I'm going to be honest, but you really hooked me for the whole video. Great job my dude, keep doing what you're doing, earned a new subscriber. That villain battle editing was absurdly good too, you've killed it for real.
I cant believe it, this mad lad combined two of the most satisfying things to bless ears: The click of keyboards typing and excellent editing syncing up to music. Didn't know i needed that in my life. -
As a keyboard normie who's always stuck with shitty old office keyboards because I've never even considered that there could be alternative options for them, thank you (and UA-cam's recommendations lol) so much for this video. You've actually got me interested in typing as a hobby now, that bomb party bit was so intense and incredibly well edited. This video deserves all the views it has, and even more! 👍
I got into keyboards since I will use them for the rest of my life, presumably. I really just wanted not to use clicky and garbage keyboards for the rest of my life lol (-300 bucks wasted for me lol)
I never thought watching a high level game of Bomb Party would be incredibly captivating, but I've been proven wrong.

The editing on this was so unexpectedly incredible I had to comment about it. Didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did.
I honestly appreciated this video's extreme level of nerd. Your soothing voice and the on-beat music made it even better. The editing during the game was awesome. I've never even heard of this game you're playing, but my verbose soul was like, "Oooooooh, yesssssss." Cue Mr. Burns. *lol* I was fully invested in you beating that dude who was mean to you on the first round. When he got stuck on BTE, I was going, "Subterranean. SUBTERRANEAN!!!" Also, I laughed at "awful office keyboard", because that is the EXACT keyboard I'm using right now. :D

The "mastering the keyboard" montage was great, and the editing on that showdown was soooo satisfying!
At the beginning I was thinking of how the aesthetic of a lot of videos have been calm and peaceful and kept plain and minimalistic, which was something I enjoyed but just somehow thought of while watching this video, but then it upgraded from something standard but pleasing to a video I randomly came upon that really stood out to me and would most likely be very memorable.
as a gamer, I never want any different keyboard it would all suck especially ones with less keys
like when I play PSO2 every key even my numpad and trigger something in the gane the whole keyboard us needed for me to play so having less keys literally sounds like a nightmare and I hate the idea of it .
I think the future is brain-computer interfaces and qwerty will remain the standard until we get to that point.
Never thought an ergo keyboard video would have a villain arc appear in it. And I never thought I'd be this invested
The bomb party edit was, the bomb! Glad I stumbled into this, and stayed till the end. The emotional investment is really something else.
I suck at typing, don't own a desktop, and am never gonna buy one of these, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. Well done. 💙
