I just bought this keyboard (Jan 2023) after watching many reviews on tech channels. I have zero problems with it - I experienced none of the issues shown here. I assume Redragon have fixed them since them. The dongle is working perfectly fine, typing is comfortable, colors are correct on the keys, it wakes up immediately and registers the typing too, macros can be recorded without the software, etc. Logitech 915 is definitely not "10 times better". Absurd! G915 can't connect to multiple targets like the K618, it still uses the old micro USB, keys are very wobbly despite built-in support, software sucks, it's also hypersensitive (if you don't like it, then don't buy it), keycaps wear out rapidly and look dirty/oily, and so on. Logitech still charges horrendously for the G915 (3 years after its release) because people follow such warped reviews of the competition. SMH.

hey I have a generic membrane keyboard and I'm going to buy this one or the shrapnel k589, so I don't have any mechanical keyboard experience, if you had, would you say that a low profile is a good option for gaming? although I do speedruns (mostly for older games) I don't really have that many problems with the membrane keyboard, so would you recommend it?
also, you said that the Logitech keycaps wear out rapidly, is that not the case for this one too? I heard that on other reviews

@@samuelcasablanca1386 The low profile keys can feel more sensitive because of the shorter travel distance. I only game strategy, not shooters, so for me mechanical is amazing, fast and fun. If in your games ultra sensitive is not a risk for your in-game performance, then give it a try. Once I got my first mechanical, I realized I'll never go back to membrane. Games, work, usual browsing feels so much lighter! Plus, with affordable, RGB-lit, macro keyboards like Redragon, price is not a barrier anymore.
The wearing out of the Logi has to do with the material/finish they used for the keys. It creates this shiny polish where your fingers tap, surrounded by the matte original finish. The Redragon's production doesn't lead to the same issue (look for video comparisons). Although mechanicals can easily have the keys replaced in case you don't like them anymore for whatever reason, there were tech YT channels mentioning how easy their Logi keys broke through normal use or when trying to replace them. I just got a whole set of high quality keys in AliExpress because I want them white in my Redragon, and exchanging the original keys was a piece of cake. Hope this helps!

I just returned this keyboard this morning, it seemed to be working fine for like an hour then I started having the same exact typing issues that you had with the 2.4ghz receiver, even though I'm literally right next to my PC. Another thing that i hated and think is absolutely stupid is that you have to have the keyboard connected to your pc via the usb cable in order for the Redragon software to detect the keyboard, and it doesn't even give you a battery level indicator in the software, even though the Redragon software for their wireless mice does. I returned the keyboard to Amazon this morning and used the refund to help pay for a Logitech MX Keys keyboard which I'm loving right now ( gotta love that Amazon same day refunds and same day delivery). I do miss not having a mechanical keyboard but it's not a huge deal, and i know with this Logitech keyboard that it's going to have absolutely amazing battery life.

I've used wireless keyboards for years and never experienced issues... until the Redragon Vishnu. Was considering switching over to the Horus since I'm having a hard time adapting to the taller profile but now I'm a little afraid it might be a pattern of theirs.

So I got one super cheap from Amazon Warehouse. It's a decent keyboard, but don't think that you're getting the same quality for that price. I was really curious that it's hot swappable, but they don't advertise that as a feature. For good reason. Good luck finding any switches to swap out. I found what appeared to be the same Outemu switches, but they're not the same. The pins on the Red Dragon are super thin and are oriented different from anything else I could find.

Also had the same issues with the 2.4 ghz dongle. It seems that the quality of the dongle that comes with this keyboard is a bust. Also had to switch to bluetooth to get a usable performance.
It's good to see that the auto-sleep function was mentioned on this review. I was beginning to think that it was a defect on my product since it was not mentioned on any other available reviews for this keyboard. The user manual does not also mention anything about the auto-sleep mode so I found it really strange. Really wish there was a way to disable the auto-sleep mode of the keyboard since the volume scroll wheel does not work when the RGB lights are off.
Strangely enough, even though that this keyboard has an auto-sleep function, battery does not last for more than 2 days(I use it 12-15 hours daily on max brightness in the LEDS)

I had issues when I first bought this keyboard as well. The 2.4ghz dongle you have to plug into your USB is very sensitive to interference. I initially had it plugged into my monitor behind my Tobii Eye Tracker and I had the same issues. I then plugged it into my PC (which is under my desk) and it got better but it still wasn't great. I ended up running a short USB from my monitor down to the base of the monitor, about 12" from the keyboard and it resolved the issues.

Just purchased this, and wanted to check some reviews to see if there were any recommendations on keycap replacements (And even though that isn't present here, I did watch the whole thing and appreciated it)
Personally, I have two issues after using it for a few days. The actuation point is one of them, if I'm not extremely accurate when typing I'm having typos (And for a guy who types ~100wpm when focusing on accuracy and probably more in the 120-130 range not caring, I can't not care without having a hundred typos per paragraph using this K618 lol)
The other gripe I have, and it's maybe a bigger deal to me than most, is that when the keyboard goes to sleep, I can't just hit the volume button to wake it up. I have to hit a separate key and then the volume button. Since I play videos out of my bluetooth speakers connected to my PC and walk away to take care of things around the house, it can be a bit tedious to hit a key and THEN hit the volume bar, but maybe I'm just being picky lol
I personally didn't experience issues with the 2.4G and haver not yet tried the bluetooth, but I haven't gamed on it yet, so there is that. No typing issues though outside of user error.
My G815 (Wired version, I've gone through two of them now) I bought back in late 2020 eventually ended up double typing keys no matter what I tried to do to fix it. I called logitech support the first time and they replaced it, but wasn't sure I wanted to go through it again. I had hoped the G915 wouldn't have that issue, but found some users with issues, although I feel like that doesn't happen often, seeing as a number of "How does it work now" videos didn't mention that as a problem. Overall, didn't want to spend another $150+ on a keyboard that might blow up 6-12 months from now

Firmware updates have launch for this since to amend issues, tho 915 also has it.. my first thought was that its an interference issue, some chips on wireless devices account for this and auto-switch channels, so it could be logitech and Redragon dongle does't have that and interferes with some other 2.4hrz devices or it's subject to keyboard lottery since many haven't reported issues at all. Can anyone confirm on the firmware updates?... I had G915 and returned it, it was disappointing, quality is low with same issues, might as well buy a cheap keyboard.

@@b3rno93 I used it on usb so no problems or sleep mode there - on usb you set keyboard to off. I refunded it because you cannot assign mute to G keys. You can only record macro for them manually - software does not control Gx keys. Also you have 3 profiles in software but they are not related to M profiles so you cannot change keybindings mid game.
