They ate mostly sweets. My dad could not see well enough to drive, but mom would he just told her when to stop, turn ,etc. When I brought her to my house, just feeding her regular food. It took me 2 1/2 months to get rid of it. I also lost 13 lbs at the same time. In May ( I think) Dr.Hyman interviewed Dr. Gabrielle Lyon and she pointed out the importance of resistance exercise and eating red meat especially as you get older in order to maintain muscle mass which will lead to a healthy old age. So glad I'm also a ground beef addict. It sure has paid off for me.

By following their general advice -getting rid of sugar, eliminating refined carbs, and taking out grains I've lost 35 pounds, have a BMI of 23, and can run 3 miles at the age of 68. I so wish that I had a doctor like the two of you. My previous doctor would almost get angry every time I brought up the Ketogenic Diet, but he had no problem prescribing me medications with all kinds of side effects. I finally went on a strict, clean keto diet, and in 2 1/2 months I lost 44 pounds, my fasting blood sugar went from 200 to averaging between 76-83, my triglycerides dropped a ton, and my insomnia almost disappeared. I felt so much better than I had in a long time. Then, I made the mistake of going off Keto, and I am now worse off than before. I just got a new doctor and had labs done, and without even doing a follow up with me, he appears to have diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes and prescribed medications for it that I have never taken before. I am having a hard time understanding how a doctor could prescribe such garbage without saying a single word to me. On the day he prescribed me the medication, I started Keto again, and since my fasting blood sugar has dropped from 235 to 167, and that was only after three days on the diet. I am confident that eating the right saturated fats, Omega-3s, grass fed and organic meats, and a ton of broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, bok choy, other delicious veggies, as well as my MCT's, I will lose all the weight I lost before and take control of my health. Am I wrong to think that my doctor is on the pharmaceutical industry's payroll? How do I find a doctor that cares about me and will work with me to fix my actual problems instead of masking them with deadly chemicals?

I am in the United Kingdom and I had an MRI SCAN through my neurologist. He was rude with my results and wouldn't see me after. He sent one letter to my GP saying that there was nothing wrong with me and to tell me that everything is alright. Two days later I received a letter stating that I have white matter around the brain leading to Small Vessels Disease and when I saw my gp he said if he had an MRI scan then he would expect to see white matter at his age. He was 79 years old and I was only 52 years old I am now 57 years old. This really worried my family and myself, but was told to go onto the internet for information.
I have times when my whole mind takes me out of the room and when I come back round I am speaking about something completely different to what I was talking about before my mind went, I have also lost my way not recognizing an area where I once lived and took myself to a building where my mind came back to normal, I have also woken up in the morning a couple of times not knowing where I was not even recognizing my own bedroom and at times I have been naughty throwing things then click with myself and thinking that my son is my brother and Uncle and going to hit him and call him names but I managed to stop myself which I am grateful for because I don't want to treat him or anyone else like that.
I have regular memory loss my General Knowledge, faces, and names I've known for years.
I am listening to your video now and you mention one side of my body (left) goes cold and numb all of the time, how do I get it sorted out because my neurologist is vile to me.
My balance is terrible and energy, I sleep a lot throughout the day.
My Nan had many strokes, my mother died of alzheimer's at 57 years.
I have also been diagnosed with other illnesses:
Motor problems throwing my head around.
    Diabetes 2
    Athsma
    Functional Neurological Disorder
    Nerve disorder
    Tremors
    Fat in my blood
    Enlarged Liver
Nodules x2 on each ardinal gland on the top of each kidney, this has been ignored and was each measured at 2cm each 2 years ago.
Hip Dysplasia in both hips from birth.
    Osteoarthritis on both hips.
    Back Pain
Acute Crystal Fluid on both knees
    Rheumatoid Arthritis in both knees.
I am in a wheelchair I have tried Physiotherapy which has not helped at all for the functional neurological disorder only.
I don't get any support apart from I have carers come in for three hours a week to help me to shower and shop occasionally and clean my home.
I am taking lots of medication including MST 12 HOURLY (MORPHINE).
Which doesn't help with functional neurological disorder and nerve problems.
I also get locking of my fingers and hands which the gp said it is arthritis but the internet says it is something else.
I wonder if you would email me please?
    with some advice.
    Warmest Wishes
    ❤❤

In terms of Grains I Have an experiment for you. French bread, as some know is made differently than most American breaks. It is thrice risen over a 24 hour period. That's where it gets that great taste. I have actually let it sit for 3 days to enhance that flavor. and yes it works. the Flavor is Sour Dough on steroids. The Question is what does it do chemically to the dough. I eat very little regular bread. Because it Bothers my stomach when I eat a lot. It's like it isn't something enough. When I do the the thrice risen method, whether for 24 hours or 3 days it feels like a complete meal. Now Most Drs would call me nuts but you folks are smart enough to see what I'm getting at.

I keep reading comments on Mark interrupting too often; I used to feel the same way and then I understood that this format is not a lecture by an individual solely lecturing to an audience at a podium; it is instead, an informal discussion between two people discussing the best ways to get healthy and we are just listening in. People in discussion with each other, do interrupt with questions, comments and need for clarification, as well as a personal story or even a joke. I think this is a great format, because what one person will speak on and omit, perhaps the other will pick up on it and clarify. So, since I am just listening in, I am still gleaning from their conversation even though I am not a part of it. My two cents.
