Thank you for your service Sir. A friend of mine served on your ship as well. He had a few hilarious comments about that boat. i won't pass those along here.
Thank you very much. Tell your friend I too have some funny comments about the time on her, but those would most likely get me kicked off of UA-cam. LOL Thanks again for watching.
You're making me drool! I just bought a brand new portable weber Grill last year, and I'm trying to justify getting one of these in my head. We spend a lot of time on the anchor in our boat, and I used one of these last year to saute some Cajun shrimp. It was out of this world! Storage space is my biggest obstacle, but it would save a lot of indoor breakfast cooking in the cabin!
This is perfect for a cabin. I take mine every time we go anywhere like that. . . I even put it in the car when we go for long hikes. I'll pull it out and fire up some sandwiches when we get back. We'll enjoy the trail head area eating our sandwiches, and by the time we are done the Blackstone is cooled down and we can toss it back in the car and head on. Perfect little portable. They do make one size smaller, and it is a great little guy too. I even have the small electric Blackstone, and LOVE IT. if you are sitting on the fence grab it and never look back.
That darn microphone tries hard to make me sound like Darth Vader. And the wife was trying to tell me that there was stuff in my beard, but I didn't get what she was saying. LOL. Thanks for watching, and enjoy your griddle.
My Mexican mama used to make a similar burger/fry sauce for us. Ketchup, Mayo, a few squirts of mustard, a couple of healthy dashes of tapatio sauce, some chopped up pickles
Yes!! See I love the chopped pickles in my sauce, but the wife doesn't like them, so when I really want them I have to add them later. No problem for me, I'll do anything to keep her happy.
Outstanding. You are going to love it. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. If you want to try something fun, give my chicken stir fry a try. It's easy and very good.
Tennessee volunteers state!! Love the video!!! Wife bought me a 17” and 22” for our two campers! Cant wait to use them. Oh one camper is for deer camp or camper for me and wife!
Hey Mark. Mike in North Mississippi. I get my BS 22" griddle this week and can't wait to start grillin'. I really like the Harbor Freight cart idea. Great job on the videos man. To be continued...😁
Mike, you will love that 22. It is the perfect size. I've been using that cart for a darn long time now, and still love it. Can't wait to hear back from you about how you are doing.
I'm sorry to hear about your old Weber, but you are going to love that Blackstone. Keep watching, I'm going to do a few more videos with it this month.
Hello from south of St Louis, MO. Planning to get a 22" Adventure Ready soon. Just going through different vids to see people's thoughts. I appreciate your real time video.
Burgers looked amazing and for sure going to try the sauce. Thanks for the video and thank you for your service 'Ranger'. We say grace every night in thanks to you and all that have served for our country. God Bless. 'RESPECT'.
Love your video’s……just got a new blackstone from our adult kids and just finished seasoning and will follow you from now on…..we winter in the valley of Texas during the winter months and grill every day
You did well to differentiate the versatility this one has over their other offerings. I initially ordered the 28” because I thought this was too small but it’s two different markets these grills are trying to reach.
That's exactly right. I just had this one at Hawking Hills Ohio and we used it every night. The place we stayed had a grill, but it wouldn't get hot enough to melt butter on a warm summers night, so I'm very grateful that I brought it. We were using it for seven people, and honestly didn't have one bit of a problem. It did well. The only thing I'd like to do is get a 5 pound refillable tank. We knew we were going to use it a bunch, so I took my 20 and it was a pain in the behind.
Just bought mine I’m in fl and i’m seasoning it now is my fourth coat of seasoning before I use it today is the Fourth of July and I’m gonna put this bad boy to use today thank you for sharing your smash burgers will try🙌🏻
Ohhhhh you are going to have a blast with your griddle. Just don't get too discouraged if you get a little sticking the first few times you use it. Soon it'll be better than the best non stick pan you can find. Thanks for watching, and I soon hope to get off this crazy shift I'm working and have time to do more.
found this via blackstone subreddit. nice job on the burgers! I just picked up my 36", I'm near toronto, ontario. love seeing what everyone's doing on their griddles. keep up the good work.
You are going to LOVE it!! and the fireball is good too. LOL. No seriously you are going to have a blast. There's just two of us, so the 22 is the perfect size. Just remember this, don't over complicate thing. It's as easy as you think it is.
I know with todays technology there has to be a way to make those darn bags easier to open. Iven worse is when you pull the tab and it only opens the top about an inch and then it pulls off the top leaving you looking for a sharp knife or scissors to get the job done. LOL
I was looking up the Blackstone 22" in action. And I love smash burgers! You made up my mind. I'm ordering my griddle straight away. Cool idea with the cart.
Hey Mark! Mack from Charlotte NC… Burgers Look Amazing!! Looking forward to trying some on my 22” over the Weekend. Thanks for the seasoning recipe. Hope you have Safe & Happy 4th🇺🇸
Hi neighbor... I'm from Jeannette, Pa. (near Pittsburgh). Just got my griddle. Can't wait to try your recipe. Those smash burgers look great! I just subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see more of your recipes. Griddle on 🥩🥓🍔🌭🥞🍕🍺
Thanks for stopping by. I will have a few new videos starting early next month. I did serve on the Ranger. She was a good ship. I hope you like your blackstone, and stop back again. I'm going to be doing a chicken cheese sandwich that is very good.
Omg these look amazing!!!! I’m buying the 22 inch black stone tomorrow for my hubby for a gift and I personally can’t wait to grill on it lol. I’m definitely going to give these a try! Thank you for sharing 😁 We live in the cold upper peninsula of Michigan and it’s just now becoming summer so perfect time for grilling!
I think you will LOVE it. We seem to be using it more than all my other grills (5 others) just because it's so much fun and so much faster. Get a good spatula kit as well as the Blackstone Burger kit and all the rest I don't usually use. One more thing. Chicken Stir Fry is amazing on this.
Nice job. Going to have to try the sauce. See your USS Ranger hat... was attached to the that ship as a member of one of the squadrons (VF-21) back in 1977-1979. Left it just before the '79 WESTPAC cruise. Will keep an eye out for future cooking tips. Just got my Blackstone 22 and looking to get to grilling!
Now that's very cool. I was on her from 83 to 87 in the machine shop. Did a year in drydock then saw a lot of water pass by. LOL Had a great time though. You are going to love that 22 inch. It's just big enough to have fun, and just small enough that you'll want to take it with you. I have a few more ideas that I want to fire off soon.
Thank you. I'm sorry it took me this long to get back to you. Yes, I did put the top shelf on upside down. It still fit no problem. Love my little cart.
Thumbs up for video. I just bought this griddle with the stand for making chicken breasts and veggies. Winter is coming soon in New England and i was wondering if the deep winter cold would affect the performance..those burgers look phenomenal.
I just got my blackstone yesterday. I am enjoying your video. I seasoned mine yesterday, but I think I may have used a little too much of the blackstone seasoning. My griddle looks a little "rough". I'm hoping it will even out as I cook on it. The corners of my griddle aren't very dark at all. I'm thinking I need to put some food in those corners and let it cook.
I bet you did fine. It takes a while for the edges and corners to get black like the centers. Just cook on it and in no time it will be non stick and even as all heck. It's one of those things that the more you use it the better it will get. Just clean it with water and scrape it down, then while it's still hot give it a VERY light coat of oil and let that smoke off every time you use it and it will be the best cooking surface you will ever have. Griddle on my friend, and enjoy.
Those are just regular hamburger buns. I line them the best for smash burgers. The fancy buns seem to come too big, and with the burgers they don't fill the bun as well and you end up with a lot of extra bread.
Other than the 22 inch I have a weber kettle grill and a 22 inch gas grill. I did have a great Christmas. Hope you did too. Enjoy the griddle, and don't over think it. Have fun with it.
That looked delicious, especially in this cold weather now. Got ours from our Son and Daughter in Law for an early Christmas Present and can't wait to use it!
It's a great all poupous dry rub. I've used it on just about everything. I even gave my stir fry a quick dusting just to give it that smokey taste. It took me a good ten years to get the recipe just right.
Hey Mark. Great video, also liked your smoked cheese video too. Just got a 22” Adventure Ready. My first griddle Thought it would be good for the deck and for camping Looking forward to a good sear for some Oklahoma onion burgers this weekend I’m in Ne Ohio too and nothin beats the winter blues like cooking outside! Look forward to more videos Take care. Lou
Lou Thanks for the kind words. I love making Onion burgers too. I think it's the little chard bits of onion that I like best. LOL. I don't have a back deck, so I'm stuck keeping all my grills in the garage, but that makes them easily accessible even if it's raining. I'm planning on doing an all out breakfast burger video in the near future (as soon as I get my camera problems figured out) that will knock your sox off. Anyhow I'd love to see pictures of your onion burgers, post them on the Everyone Can Grill page on Facebook. Mark
First time I've heard of an Oklahoma Onion Burger. I just ordered my 22" Adventure Ready a few minutes ago. It won't get here until the 27th, the day after my birthday. Dammit!
I'm a big fan of them. I've also made Onion burgers and grilled mushrooms on the side. Then I put swiss cheese on the burgers and lay the mushrooms on top. My sauce works great on them too. Enjoy that griddle, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Great cook. I only cook in my garage. And I have only really had one issue. And it was a lack of cooking that hurt me. Side note. You need a burger press. Mines a rectangular cast iron one. It works great.
I got the magnetic paper towel holder and the shelf. I've ended up screwing the shelf to the top because the magnets wouldn't hold and half way threw a cook it fell off.
Looking good! I am about to go out and get one myself. I am just going back and fourth on do I go with the 28" or 22". I like this one as it is portable and we are a family of three so I think that the 22" would be sufficient and i like that it has a cover.
I make smaller burgers, about 3 oz, a slice on each, double stack. more crust. also, a smash press works a lot better than spatulas, wider, even pressure over the entire spread burger. good call on the mayo (not Duke's for me tho) to brown the buns. but however you make them, theyre amazing.
Not one darn thing. I like it so much I bought the 17" E-series too. I've used that one a lot for breakfast. It's so convenient first thing in the morning.
Hi, enjoyed the video since I am also considering this griddle. 22”?… looks bigger on the video. Also was VERY impressed by the “non-stick” you had. I have seen videos of Blackstones where guys are scraping scraping scraping but even with the melted cheese, yours came up like non stick. Has to be the way you seasoned it? Impressive.
I love this griddle. It's big enough to do what we need it for, but I can still manhandle it in and out of the car. It is a bit heavy, but I can still get it. If I take it where I know I'm going to have to walk a bit I take my folding dolly and just put it on that. As for seasoning it, I slowly brought it up to high. Then I put small amounts of olive oil on a paper towel and covered everything. I let it go on high until it wasn't smoking at all, then I shut it down, let it cool, then repeated this four more times. I've never had a problem with anything sticking at all. Thanks for watching my videos.
Those craft deluxe packs are the worst. I always rip the first two squares trying to get the cheese out. Awesome video bought my fist stainless griddle for my apartment. Look forward to the next video. ✌🏼🙏🏼🗽
Thanks for watching. I just got an electric one too, and I'm hoping that I'll start having time off of work to be able to make some more videos soon. I have some big ideas for some great cooks.
Wow! Your smash burgers look awesome! Thanks for sharing your tips and recipe! I’m from Ohio too and know how cold the winters can get here. Liked and subscribed and looking forward to more! Also, thank you for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just pick up my Blackstone yesterday. It took me 6.5 hours to cure it. I’m in Florida and it was 87 sorry. Had to use a fan to help cool off slowly between treatments. Thanks for the video, I’ll be smashing this weekend.
I hope you enjoy your Smashburgers. Something my son and I thought up the other day. When you are making your burgers put a piece of cheese on the bun, and on the burger. That way it's a double cheese smashburger. a lot of times we double our burgers, so doing it this way will give you cheese, burger, cheese, burger, cheese. Now how can that be bad. LOL Seriously, enjoy your Blackstone.
Congratulations on getting your Blackstone. When I seasoned mine I warmed mine up and then got it good and hot. I LIGHTLY oiled it The lighter the better. Then I let it cool down to where I could touch it. Then I started it again. I felt like this was the way to go not only for seasoning, but for heat tempering the steel. I did that four times before I started cooking on it. Don't get too worked up over it, as long as you use a very light touch with the oil, and don't turn the temp down until it stops smoking you will do fine. Then the more you cook on it the better it gets.
im debating on this size or the bigger one. I do entertain at my cabin. And i have a Large family. But 22 looks like you can put a big amount on it. I do have a couple of webber q at the property right now.
This holds a good amount, but for a larger family I'd go with a bigger size. This is perfect for two or three people. Doing stir fries for a larger group will be a pain. My son has a family of five, and the four burner is big, but I've watched him fill it several times. If I had more room in the garage to store it I'd get the biggest one they make. It's just so much more vestal.
Just bought the same griddle, and tbh, I'm not too happy with the quality control. the griddle has 2 big dings in the edge like someone hit it twice with a cold chisel, and also, the base was twisted and made getting the griddle near impossible to get the pegs to engage. ended up using a rubber mallet. Hopefully it works better than it assembled. Great video! Smashburgers will be my first meal on the griddle!
You shouldn't have to put up with quality like that. I'd bring that one back, or at least call their customer support. As for the smashburgers, they are what I'm going to make for dinner tonight too. Enjoy.
Just ordered a 22" griddle. Finally they are available in the UK.
I still love my 22.
My son just won this grill and I want him to make me the smash burger. Northern Michigan, Grand lake here❤️Thank you❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Congratulations. I have to say that smash burgers are still my favorite thing to make. I love them

With the exception of the heavy breathing and jizz in beard 😂awesome video enjoyed watching. Just got my griddle so I’m taking notes. Thanks Mark.
That darn microphone tries hard to make me sound like Darth Vader. And the wife was trying to tell me that there was stuff in my beard, but I didn't get what she was saying. LOL. Thanks for watching, and enjoy your griddle.

@@PapaMark they were absolutely immaculate. The sauce made it for sure. Adding this to my recipe book. Thank you for sharing!
You just made my day. Thanks and I'm glad you liked it.

Looking at buying the Blackstone Adventurer. You may have convinced me! Kurt (US Navy 88-92)
I love my Adventure. I take it all over the place.
Looks amazing! Looking into getting a 2 burner black stone griddle.
I love mine. We use it all the time, and it's nice because we can take it with us and use the small tanks too.
I like your combination of the grill with the Harbor Freight cart. Did you assemble the top shelf upside down to get it to be flat like that?
Thank you. I'm sorry it took me this long to get back to you. Yes, I did put the top shelf on upside down. It still fit no problem. Love my little cart.
@@PapaMark thanks for the info
Thanks for sharing your rub recipe.
Looking forward to trying this, especially the secret "Fireball" seasoning!
LOL The addition of Fireball seems to always make grilling time better. Let me know how you like that rub recipe if you get a chance.
Looks amazing just picked up a blackstone finished seasoning it. I'm ready. Thanks for the video
Congratulations. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I do mine.
New sub from east Texas
Thanks for subscribing. I have a cool video I'm going to make this weekend on the Blackstone.
i little 6x6 sheet of parchment paper under the spatulas while smashing makes all the difference.
So very true. I just didn't have any in the house that day. LOL.
Good job
Thank you very much. Thanks for watching.
Looks amazing
Thank you very much. I just made 30 of them the other day when the family was home. Love that little 22"
Thumbs up for video. I just bought this griddle with the stand for making chicken breasts and veggies. Winter is coming soon in New England and i was wondering if the deep winter cold would affect the performance..those burgers look phenomenal.
You will have no problem grilling in the winter. It was 8 degrees F the one day last winter when I just needed to have stir fry. It worked great.
I like your carts! Its never too cold to grill or smoke outside lol !
Thanks. That cart is so convenient. And yes it's never too cold.
Aloha from Hawaii, what type of buns did you use? Looks amazing!!!
Those are just regular hamburger buns. I line them the best for smash burgers. The fancy buns seem to come too big, and with the burgers they don't fill the bun as well and you end up with a lot of extra bread.
I got my wife a 22 inch griddle fir Christmas what else u got that u cook on them? Now I want a hamburger 🍔 🤤
Hope u had a great Christmas 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Other than the 22 inch I have a weber kettle grill and a 22 inch gas grill. I did have a great Christmas. Hope you did too. Enjoy the griddle, and don't over think it. Have fun with it.
Nice video
Thank you very much.
That looked delicious, especially in this cold weather now. Got ours from our Son and Daughter in Law for an early Christmas Present and can't wait to use it!
You are going to have a blast with this recipe. It's so simple and tastes so good.
great video....What else do you use the dry rub for?...ribs?.....pork?
It's a great all poupous dry rub. I've used it on just about everything. I even gave my stir fry a quick dusting just to give it that smokey taste. It took me a good ten years to get the recipe just right.
Hey Mark. Great video, also liked your smoked cheese video too. Just got a 22” Adventure Ready. My first griddle Thought it would be good for the deck and for camping Looking forward to a good sear for some Oklahoma onion burgers this weekend I’m in Ne Ohio too and nothin beats the winter blues like cooking outside! Look forward to more videos Take care. Lou
Lou
Thanks for the kind words.
Got a new 22" BS for Christmas 🎄
Smash burgers on the way here in Bakersfield, Ca !
Enjoy that BS. For our family that size is perfect.
I just jumped in. Booyah!
Thanks a bunch. I try and have fun here. Will be making some new videos soon.
Great cook. I only cook in my garage. And I have only really had one issue. And it was a lack of cooking that hurt me.
Side note. You need a burger press. Mines a rectangular cast iron one. It works great.
Atlas. That’s the same griddle cart I made. HarborFreight. I did notice a press. I would use that.
I have a good one, but I opted to use the spatulas for people that are just getting started and may not have one.
Did you flip your top shelf over?
@@PapaMark yes I did. I added a paper towel holder. And a magnetic barb
I just took my 22 on vacation with us. It is heavy, but not so bad as I had a hard time with it. I'm so glad I didn't go with the bigger one.
New sub. and agree on cheese packages.
Thanks for subscribing. I'm going to have a great video coming out later this week. Lots of fun.
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you very much.
I use a Lodge press most of the time, I was just showing how you can get away with just using the spatulas. Thanks for watching.
Cool , i lived in NORTHEAST OHIO for years .
Outstanding. I'm in Youngstown.
Nice job. Anything you dont like about the blackstone?
Not one darn thing. I like it so much I bought the 17" E-series too. I've used that one a lot for breakfast. It's so convenient first thing in the morning.
I ordered one with a hood, can wait!
I love that hood. I use it all the time to melt cheese or speed up bacon.
What part of Northeast Ohio? I’m 30 mins south of Youngstown. I love my BlackStone, I cook on it every chance I get
I'm just outside of Youngstown.
I bet you have some Kentucky bourbon sitting around there somewhere . Great video
I always do. LOL Thanks for watching.
Wow! Your smash burgers look awesome! Thanks for sharing your tips and recipe! I’m from Ohio too and know how cold the winters can get here. Liked and subscribed and looking forward to more! Also, thank you for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for watching, and for subscribing too. I'll have a few more videos soon.
How cool do you need to get it before starting another layer of seasoning? I just bought mine yesterday
Dude. What a smash burger
Yummy
Thank you very much. I love making them.
Thanks for the awesome video! Those burgers look so darn good! By the way, I hate opening & closing those cheese bags too ... lol!
Thanks TJ. They are a quick dinner for sure.
Enjoy.
@@PapaMark I returned it to Lowes and they credited my card, which showed last night but has disappeared this morning. I cant win. Lol.
That stinks!!!! Did you give them a call?
