PF's music is just as timely today as when it was released. Looking around at the state of the world today, we could certainly use a whole lot more talking and a whole lot less fighting. PF just expresses it more beautifully than most.
David Gilmour used the talk box on the Animals album out in 1977, he's a guitar genius, you should check out the Animals album, this is pink floyd at their finest
It's a Talk Box. Made famous by Peter Frampton. It basically funnels the amplified sound of the guitar into the tube which goes into his mouth near the mic. By shaping his mouth he can manipulate the amplified sound which is picked up by the mic and broadcast through the sound system. Check out Peter Frampton's Feel Like I Do for what really made this a huge sensation.
Saw this 5 times. Outdoors needed FAA aIr clearance for lasers/ 128 wireless speakers 200,000 watts of power, 53 semis to move. David Gilmore's "Live at Gdansk'" Echoes" most people say the song that propelled them. Last time played do to Ricks( keyboard) death. Dave said if you watch this that you will see Dave 7 Rick talking to each other with their instruments. Your headphones will really help. 26 minutes long *************************
I love this one, too! I like the haunting vibe at the beginning, the Stephen Hawking spoken parts, the initial guitar solo, and of course, the talk box. I feel like only David Gilmour could make the talk box sound, well, Gilmouresque (if that makes sense!). In other words, I felt like it had an extra layer of emotion. (I mostly remember the talk box from Bon Jovi's 'Living on a Prayer' and "It's My Life'. One of my other favorite musicians, Joe Walsh, uses it in his song 'Rocky Mountain Way.').
David uses it on the animals album for a couple songs in ‘77 as well. Have you done pulse “Shine on you Crazy Diamond” yet? I lose count lol. If so, maybe their first set closer “One of these Days”
Good move getting those headphones. I'm sure they'll bring you great joy! You should listen to the album version of this same song. I think I actually prefer it - better balance I feel. You're now all set to experience some of the best and most delicate PF tracks, like "Marooned" and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)" - album versions IMO.
why you really think Aerosmith is even close to pink floyd ? just look at the album sales bro, and it's always the americans who got all the trophies anyway
@@LilmannReacts oh here’s a good for your new headphones. Just video yourself listen to the whole Dark side of the Moon album. Thats the Floyd experience. Just start the album and let it play. That’s another good reaction for Floyd.
Fell behind on two reviews so I’ll combine everything the last three you did amazing amazing reviews on Floyd. I love this studio albums but whenever I could see it live it’s even more amazing because it shows you how they do it. How do you make the sounds that you obviously can’t see on the studio version… great job, my friend enjoy keep it up
You really need to listen to the studio version of this for the full sonic experience. The guest voice of the Great English scientist Stephen Hawking isn't even audible here. Lots of other layers of sound missing. Something in your set-up wasn't right on this one. Should sound so much richer.
@@LilmannReacts I've see this live version on YT many times and the sound mix was never this poor. IDK , some technical issue somewhere. Glad you got to hear the studio version anyway.

Great reaction. The songs Coming Back to Life and Wearing The Inside Out are also great songs 😊.

Great tune it is too 👌
The look you had when you saw it, awesome. That was the surprise I was talking about.

the story of the song is two people standing in the same room and they cant hear each other, how often have we seen that in life ?

🙏🙏
The talk box is even better in PF's Pigs(Three Different Ones). I also think James Hetfield uses a talk box on the Death Magnetic album.
A few musicians used that back in the day...Peter Frampton for one.
Great reaction!!! It sounded awesome live!! Good job!!!
🙏
Dude that was perfect, listen to the music, give your opinion after.😏
100% Echoes by Pink Floyd.

Learning to fly and SORROW from PULSE LIVE. You’ll like those
Us and Them pulse!!!!
Yeah, it's called a talk box.
What sucks is Pink Floyd should’ve got band of the century not Aerosmith

Rock on 🎉🎉🎉
