any kind of animal can be an emotional support animal if they get the proper training, i have an emotional support chihuahua terrier mix and they aren’t insanely common either but he still does his job perfectly for me, honestly screw what people think about what animal they have to be to give that emotional help, it’s your pet and your emotional support their providing, not theirs, their opinion on your pet isn’t valid at all, let alone their opinion on your emotional support animals tbh. at least that’s how i see it.

Specifically, there were about three people who were militantly anti-chicken, while most other people didn’t care.
I live in a city of over a million people. The law here states that ANY animal can be kept within the city limits as long as the health codes for the animal are followed. That includes ANY animal...lion, tiger, bear, chicken, duck, alligator. Of course the more odd the animal, the more laws there are about its care. But they ARE permitted.

I remember once I brought my ball python into petsmart. Which is allowed btw. She’s about 5 feet long so she’s pretty big. But this lady got mad because I had a “dangerous poisonous animal” on the premises. And the people at petsmart defended me and was like “it’s not venomous maam.” Ball pythons are like the puppy dogs of snakes. It was a whole situation that’s completely unnecessary. Former vet tech here... You should let your doctor know if your dog eats grass. Some dogs it's no big deal but it can be an early sign of bigger issues. 🐶 💕
@@SavageMinnow don't worry we did when we adopted him his previous owner said he had a tendency to eat grass so we took him in to see and they gave him a clean bill of health. He just really likes grass, so we just keep an eye on him and if we think he's munching too much we bring him inside.

Hes a poodle-bichon mix of average weight for his size and breed. we are trying to brush him more to help with possible matted fur that may contribute to it. hes about 9 and a half years old and is fed Blue Buffalo for smaller breeds (not mini sized, just the average small-ish breed). we were suggested to give him some fish oil type supplements and while that has helped a little, his front paws are still very red, especially his right paw which is super sensitive. would you have any possible suggestions? my mom and i dont have a ton of money to constantly buy super expensive food, but my dad would probably be able to help me order vitamin stuff if that may help at all...

Could be food allergies (sometimes they allergic to really normal things like turkey, or pork) or an environmental allergy if it gets worse in a particular season, or even dust mites, like one dog I can think of. Unlike humans dogs express allergies with itchy feet, ears, or crotch. You are absolutely right about the matting adding into the whole cycle. The less airflow, the more bacteria and fungus can get in there and make the whole mess worse. Benadryl is good but can make them sleepy and no one wants to be sleepy all the time. There's two medications that I would suggest talking to ur vet about. One is called Atopica, and it is actually an IBS medication for humans, but in dogs it can help break down the allergens inside the body before they make it to the integumentary (skin) system. The other one is Apoquel, and it interruptss the nerve impulse of the itch. The second one you have to monitor more, because the skin can still become inflamed if the paws are coming into contact with whatever the allergen is, but you might not notice because they will not feel they urge to lick and tell you. Both medications are fine on their own or with benadryl as an occasional booster on bad days. There is a blood test that costs a lot (like $300-400) that your vet can send off to idexx if all else fails, and they can pinpoint exactly what is causing the allergy. Sometimes it's something avoidable in their food and you can cut it out of their diet, or if it's an array of things, like some dogs I've seen, they can use the results of that test to create a serum that is injected like "allergy shots" that humans get. It sounds like you are exasperated, and I totally get that. We all want our furry family members to feel their best, and sometimes info online can be so confusing. I hope that helps, and as a tech, my number 1 piece of advice is to talk to ur doc and ask lots of questions. I could be barking up the wrong tree with allergies, bit your vet will know if I'm way off cuz he has ur dogs chart and years more schooling than me. I hope this gives you a place to start looking tho. (PS: I live curly Bois. Ur dog sounds like the cutest!)

@@groooah I'm pretty sure that only applies if you call the cops *fully aware* that it's not an emergency. For example: if you call the cops because you hear footsteps in your home and think it's an intruder but it turns out to just be a stray cat you won't get in trouble. But if it turns out you knew exactly it's a cat, but told the police you think it's a burglar, just because you don't want to call an animal shelter to avoid paying their fees you get in trouble.
There's fines here in the US for calling fake 911 calls. I think if you do it multiple times you're probably going to be arrested or if you make a big deal out of it and smack talk the officers or another civilian they might decide to take you in for the charge. It's not always enforced depending on certain situations but rather more like a warning and if broken again it's probably going to land you a hefty fine. So yes, it is illegal already here and it's an arrestable offense. I think the officers typically ask the victim if they want to press charges (most people don't press charges) and if they do the officers will tack the faked 911 emergency on to your list of charges.

Some months ago, there was some major drama on my parents’ community Facebook page regarding a vote on whether to allow homeowners in a neighboring town to keep chickens on their property. Specifically, there were about three people who were militantly anti-chicken, while most other people didn’t care.
I live in a city of over a million people. The law here states that ANY animal can be kept within the city limits as long as the health codes for the animal are followed. That includes ANY animal...lion, tiger, bear, chicken, duck, alligator. Of course the more odd the animal, the more laws there are about its care. But they ARE permitted.

Former vet tech here... You should let your doctor know if your dog eats grass. Some dogs it's no big deal but it can be an early sign of bigger issues. 🐶 💕
@@SavageMinnow don't worry we did when we adopted him his previous owner said he had a tendency to eat grass so we took him in to see and they gave him a clean bill of health. He just really likes grass, so we just keep an eye on him and if we think he's munching too much we bring him inside.

Hes a poodle-bichon mix of average weight for his size and breed. we are trying to brush him more to help with possible matted fur that may contribute to it. hes about 9 and a half years old and is fed Blue Buffalo for smaller breeds (not mini sized, just the average small-ish breed). we were suggested to give him some fish oil type supplements and while that has helped a little, his front paws are still very red, especially his right paw which is super sensitive. would you have any possible suggestions? my mom and i dont have a ton of money to constantly buy super expensive food, but my dad would probably be able to help me order vitamin stuff if that may help at all...
@@exist4046 sounds like allergies. Could be food allergies (sometimes they allergic to really normal things like turkey, or pork) or an environmental allergy if it gets worse in a particular season, or even dust mites, like one dog I can think of. Unlike humans dogs express allergies with itchy feet, ears, or crotch. You are absolutely right about the matting adding into the whole cycle. The less airflow, the more bacteria and fungus can get in there and make the whole mess worse. Benadryl is good but can make them sleepy and no one wants to be sleepy all the time. There's two medications that I would suggest talking to ur vet about. One is called Atopica, and it is actually an IBS medication for humans, but in dogs it can help break down the allergens inside the body before they make it to the integumentary (skin) system. The other one is Apoquel, and it interruptss the nerve impulse of the itch. The second one you have to monitor more, because the skin can still become inflamed if the paws are coming into contact with whatever the allergen is, but you might not notice because they will not feel they urge to lick and tell you. Both medications are fine on their own or with benadryl as an occasional booster on bad days.
There is a blood test that costs a lot (like $300-400) that your vet can send off to idexx if all else fails, and they can pinpoint exactly what is causing the allergy. Sometimes it's something avoidable in their food and you can cut it out of their diet, or if it's an array of things, like some dogs I've seen, they can use the results of that test to create a serum that is injected like "allergy shots" that humans get.
It sounds like you are exasperated, and I totally get that. We all want our furry family members to feel their best, and sometimes info online can be so confusing. I hope that helps, and as a tech, my number 1 piece of advice is to talk to ur doc and ask lots of questions. I could be barking up the wrong tree with allergies, bit your vet will know if I'm way off cuz he has ur dogs chart and years more schooling than me. I hope this gives you a place to start looking tho. (PS: I live curly Bois. Ur dog sounds like the cutest!)

There's fines here in the US for calling fake 911 calls. I think if you do it multiple times you're probably going to be arrested or if you make a big deal out of it and smack talk the officers or another civilian they might decide to take you in for the charge.
It's not always enforced depending on certain situations but rather more like a warning and if broken again it's probably going to land you a hefty fine.
So yes, it is illegal already here and it's an arrestable offense. I think the officers typically ask the victim if they want to press charges (most people don't press charges) and if they do the officers will tack the faked 911 emergency on to your list of charges.

sadly the disease spreads. Not too long ago a guy came out of his house to tell me and my partner to go kiss somewhere else. We were on the sidewalk, which he thought he owned apparently. Fr, I'm an American and someone had a huge plot of land just a few minutes away from my house, so my friends and I would walk there and just run around all the time when we were 8-11. The owners were usually fine with us since they'd seen us there before and all we did was just run around playing and just being kids, but if anyone else went there they'd scream at them and sometimes even pull guns. It was wild
