"I totally care about girls' sports all of a sudden, to the extent that I think EVERYONE assigned male at birth is AUTOMATICALLY better than anyone assigned female."
Tbh this summarizes it so incredibly well.
Like I guess is trans fems are automatically more athletic than any cod women, despite the effects of HRT? Hell, even then, many cis women are *fucking ripped.* Some of them even have the “advantages” that conservatives point to claiming all trans women have over cis women. It’s just really inconsistent.
Those cis women are super butt hurt, they need to grow up lol
And then they call themselves radical feminists
In this ad they make women seem so weak and like they can’t do anything in the realm of what men can do.
Notice how they didn’t once mention trans men too,
The NERVE of conservatives acting like they actually even care about women lmao
Exactly what I'm saying
While in the same breath saying trans women are better at sports simply because they used to be men. That’s a little bit sexist.
These are the people who voted for "Grab em' by the Pussy" Trump.
they probably do, but in this case they just using them for hate
@@justintime6998 yeah, they act like the weakest AMAB person is stronger than the strongest AFAB person. that's sexist af and also really incorrect, even in regards to cis people
bro, i was literally had to change in the male's locker room when i was at school until i was in senior year, they made me change there even though i was on horomones and had breast development and i wore a bra, i was so so uncomfortable in there and guys looked and said stuff. The girls wanted me to change in there with them because i passed so much that it was ridiculous that i had to change with the boys.
Exactly!
That's crazy! I'm so sorry you had to go through that! I hope things change ♥️
That sucks a ton, I kind of get that feel. I played a year of football cuz my dad wanted me to, but I've always been really small and thin so it was just really scary and painful, I hate sports and roughhousing so that sucked
I’m so sorry :(
What happened in the end? How'd you feel?
the whole "without a mother and a father" is single parent erasure as well
Honestly, a lot people seem to hate single parents too

I wonder what they think about step family.
Not to mention some children raised themselves when no one else stepped up to adopt them. Talk about neglect and parentification.
“A biological male who believes he’s female” that’s just embarrassing how little they actually understand what being trans is
It's should to be " a biological woman who others believed when she was born that she was male "
@@pretty948 exactly bestie, said it perfectly
@@pretty948 thats very anti scientific though? trans women are biologically male and trans men are biologically female, but the phrase is funny because all trans men are fully aware they are female and always will be, and trans women are fully aware they are male and always will be. they like to say “youll never be biologically male/female” as if we had no idea and we’re gonna have some kind of revelation that we cant change our biological sex lol
@@fakeyolk i smell transphobia from you babe

it’s funny to hear mainly conservatives telling others to “educate themselves” when they haven’t actually taken in any new information in decades lmao
I love how they talk about privacy in the locker room as if you're not already changing clothes around a bunch of people you barely know....

I had a p.e teacher get mad at me for changing in a stall before, same lady creeped on the students (especially trans students) so I’m not surprised.
I'm a Christian, and a mother of a non binary child and this makes me so upset. The first thing I was taught was to love everybody. Not only when we care or there the same. It’s so funny how they say religion when in actuality they just mean Christianity. Literally every visual example of religion they use is of Christianity.
I'm embarrassed as a Christian because hating people, judging people, wishing death on people goes against what the religion is built on which is love yet I only see these people who claim to be Christians doing anything but love. We're supposed to Love Thy Neighbor
@alascow also a Jewish guy in the beginning
As a Christian, I’ve been taught to love all and treat everyone fairly, yet some Christans are still homophobic, transphobic, and racist. I fully support the lgbtq+ community and am actually part of it and Im not ‘going to hell’ for that like I’ve been told
So true. Eventhough Hinduism is just as misogynistic as other religions it's not transphobic. There are a lot of non binary and trans people in the scriptures. But people are STILL transphobic even if their own religion isn't against it 🤦🏾♀️
Ikr they just mean Christianity in the video conservatives do not care about other people's religion it's ironic too cause they say they care about religious liberty. When my Muslim mother used to live in Australia an obviously conservative woman wrote on her car that she should go back to her own country, most conservatives are also anti-semitic.
“should a women be forced to give up her privacy” she’s already giving up her privacy by changing in a public locker room 🤦♀️
That's exactly what I was thinking
And have they never been in a locker room or women's bathroom? There are stalls in both. Last time I checked there aren't urinals in women's bathrooms, and I sincerely doubt any trans women would use them if there were. No one wants to just hang out in a public bathroom! We're trying to get in, do our bidness, and GTFO as fast as possible.
@@marymac3572 RIGHT! It’s not like a trans woman or literally any women who just chill in a locker room naked in front of everyone-?
Edit: Or men. nobody does that unless they are weirdos
I’d also like to add that it’s fairly easy to identify an actual predator versus someone just using the locker room.
For real. I don’t understand why transphobes are under the impression that being partially or fully naked in front of strangers is somehow more comfortable if you have the same junk. Being stared at in a locker room is still uncomfortable if a cis woman is doing it. I always found it awkward changing in gym and I had plenty of friends who did too. What they’re implying with this argument isn’t that there is something inherently more private about strangers of the same gender being naked together, it’s that they think trans women are predatory men. Hence why they never seem to give a shit about a cis man having his privacy violated by a trans man in a changing room- they don’t think it’s possible for a woman to sexually assault or traumatize a man and therefore trans men aren’t a threat.
I’m adopted and i’m gonna be honest i’d rather be adopted by a non-religious gay couple than a christian hetero couple. From experience
If I were an adopted child, and found out I had been "picked" by some Evangelical, Trump-loving, evolution denying, televangelist-watching plebs, I'd be sobbing, kicking, and screaming on my way out like a lunatic. XD

I would say you don't seem to agree with Christ on what is and isn't a sin, or how one should live, or the biblical definition of marriage, among countless other Christian beliefs. You should be aware that this is a fallen world and you are in enemy territory currently. Picking and choosing what teachings to follow and which to ignore completely like this is more akin to "Do what thou wilt". There's nothing Christian about that.

I'm a trans woman and was homeless, and the thing about the shelter especially pissed me off because I had to go to the men's center and hide my identity, or they wouldn't have let me stay there. They don't care if you're a human, or if you have a safe place to sleep.
Edit: I'm totally safe and well now! This was a couple years ago.
That’s beyond awful and scary.
Hope you are doing well now...
You shouldn't have had to go through that, are you doing better now?
Homeless people shouldn't exist
The government has more than enough money to give it's citizens a safe place to shower and sleep
For a second there I thought homeless shelters usually employed a lot of good people
The nerve of conservatives to act like domestic violence and rape is important to them when they're advocating for people to stay in unhappy marriages and not believing victims. When I was fleeing domestic violence, sleeping close to a trans woman would be the last thing I cared about. And this is coming from a gay abuse victim who is already quite scared of men in general.
You'd care if it was a rapist and then he raped you. That's the problem with creating laws that are easily exploited by criminals.
@@masonsworshipsatan7840 cis women are capable of s*xual assault and r*pe, even towards other women - there's violence in same-gender relationships as well, which makes a woman of any orientation a possible criminal capable of harm.
if someone wants to do harm upon another person, they will do so. you're creating a strawman and trying to weaponize old transmisogynist and queerphobic caricatures about "predatory gay men/men in dresses" to instill fear and prejudice towards minority people, and it's extremely transparent. do better
When I was in middle school we had a trans girl in our locker room. We weren’t supposed to change in the bathroom stalls, but she had a lot of gender dysphoria and we noticed she would stay in the locker room until everyone left to change and therefore get penalized for being late. After a few of us talked to her about it we went to the gym teacher and asked if she could have permission to use the stalls.
It’s often the trans person that feels the most discomfort in gendered spaces, especially when they’re young or have only recently realized they are trans. And yet cis people so often make it about themselves, without ever talking to trans people about the reality of it.
One parent made a fuss about her being there and the students who were brought in quickly pointed out that it didn’t matter because she was straight, and beyond that we also had bi girls and lesbians in that class. I was very lucky to grow up where I did, where things were ahead of the curve. It made it a lot easier when I realized that I was non-binary earlier this year.
"You're just mad because you can't call people slurs anymore." Like that's literally it.😂

love when the crowd that popularized “if women want equality men should be able to hit them” are now crying foul over a very small percentage of female athletes being trans girls
trans girls aren't female.
@@masonsworshipsatan7840 Well, there are cis women who have xy chromosomes, so they are technically male. Trans women that are put on hormones are phenotypically female, and chromosomally male. So, it's not really one or the other, it's both. You are morally and biologically incorrect. Quit denying biological reality, snowflake.
So I (Ftm transguy) actually attended one of those shelters once. (It wasnt the exact same thing since it was for adolexent girsl/young women but I digress)
They knew about my ftm identity and one of the girls clearly voiced her discomfort with me being there, which I can honestly understand and cant blame her for. But I got basically forced into staying there, since I was a minor and a runaway kid and if I ran away again (which I eventually did, both bc of personal reasons and because I seriously didnt want to make that one girl uncomfortable anymore) they basically threatened me to put me into a closed facility.
And honestly? Im pretty sure thats the only instance of a transperson making women at a shelter uncomfortable. Sadtly Im also pretty sure, that that is the only instance where the people that made that add wouldve approved of a transperson staying at a shelter. Because they don't care about the women there and it really shows.
(For more context: It was an institution for women/girls only and it was kind of a safe-house, but that wasnt the only purpose of it. There were many different girls with many different backgrounds, but some of them were there because they had to escape abusive situations and we also had to cater to certain safety rules like not telling anyone where the house was, making sure nobody followed us, keeping the noise down etc. I'm not trying to take away from anyone who stayed at like and actual safehouse and this also isnt a universal experience. If you lived through a similar situation, no matter if trans or not, id be very interested in hearing about it if youre comfortable sharing it ^^)

There are also cisgender female athletes who naturally have a high level of testosterone. So it’s not just trans women who have “the advantage of testosterone”
Not to mention, by their logic, they force trans men into women's sports as well which kind of makes the testosterone argument completely useless
@@baIthazar THIS IS COMPLETELY TRUE
@@baIthazar The thing is, There aren't such requirements around identifying as a woman. You don't need to take hormone treatments or get any kind of operation to "transition" to a woman to start identifying as one in your 100% natural male body. Mandating that MtF have to get their genitals removed or be on hormone treatments to lower their testosterone would be even more of a human rights violation and trans rights activists would be livid.
But it’s not as high as a trans women. Even if it was in a isolated case, it’s not only about testosterone, it’s about ligaments, bone density, the whole male physiognomy which parts of it are difficult to change after puberty
@@ariadnavaldivia9820 wait, stronger ligaments and bones make you stronger?
Thats the supporting structure. Stronger ligaments just means you can apply more force on it via muscles (not alone though) or external force, before they rip apart.
For "stronger" bones its almost the same, stronger just means more resilient.
So your post male-puverty transitioned transgender is less likely to become injured.

Do Christians forget that Jesus’s word is first and he never said anything about lgbt people? In fact he said to love everyone, and in the Bible it says not to cast judgement on others bc that’s Gods job.
And they said “Man shall not lie with boy.” not man shall not lie with another man!
the bible also says "love thy neighbor as thyself", lgbtq+ people are our neighbors too. god made us in his image, and that doesnt exclude trans people, gay people, bi people, non binary people, or *anyone*- the bible never said anything about how you should be bringing down certain people just because you dont like what they're doing.
That's why I don't say I'm a Christian anymore, I say I'm a believer (like a believer in what Jesus did and the belief that we should be more like him) because the modern perception of Christianity has been majorly screwed over by ppl who hurt others and back it up with loosely plucked bible verses

The only thing i dislike about this conversation is it seems to be between politicians, cis men, and trans women. As a cis woman i feel my concerns aren’t being acknowledged. What cis women experience with trans women isn’t acknowledged because of the awful things men do to all of us. The power dynamics are complicated between trans and cis women especially when you get into the black community. Black women still face a lot of discrimination and violence and the trans conversation is ignoring how we are also masculinized and dealing with that as if it is solely a trans issue.
I am gender nonconforming but I’m read as a cis het black woman and i have dealt with struggles with my gender identity and still do. But the struggles as a cis black woman are every bit as real and pertinent. So what is the convo? Cuz all I’m really seeing is “trans women cant have any toxic masculinity because they are women” or “trans women can’t be women if they aren’t born women”
Basically where is the nuanced conversation that acknowledges trans women as women but also acknowledges how maleness is a societal construct that will also affect trans women to an extent. It even affects cis women so why wouldn’t it affect trans women?
That is a layer to the issue I've never thought about. Thanks for typing it out and expressing another perspective.
@@hannahpealbanana seems most don’t want to actually hve this conversation because it’s hard and confusing though.

Not gonna lie, before this video I was in the “Trans athletes bad” boat. It wasn’t until I watched this video that I realized how ignorant my stance was and how I didn’t understand the full story. Thank you for teaching me something, Sam! :)
Very cool of you! Thank you for learning that!
Guys I'm just curious what you think because I am a little torn: When discussing trans athletes it is really important to acknowledge that there are biological advantages for men in sports. This is the reason why obviously women and men are seperated in sports because men usally differ from women in their bone structure and density, muscle mass and I believe even going as far as the nerves etc.. So when a trans woman only has started HRT in idk her late 20s will she have undergone full male puberty and therefore most of the time develoed these features. Features that are somewhat irreversible and will change by HRT such as bone density. So there are still certain features that will give her a born advantage over cis women in sports. And why shouldn't it be regulated? Because as a comment before said they even regulate the testosterone levels at which cis women can enter. It might even be the same as different weight classes in Boxing etc. because even for men there are differentiations. But honestly of course I am no expert and this is only what I have accumulated so far on the topic. So as I said I am torn because obviously I want trans people especially trans women to be able to compete. But to my understanding it might be an unfair advantage. So i don't know what to actually think. Should there be regulations on who is able to enter a competition by the time span they have been on HRT or at what age they started it? I just think it is needed to recognize that just because you might start HRT there are still biological advantages which would make the seperation between men and women useless if we would ignore them. But at the same time by no means do trans women have the same biological structure anymore and most of the time loose the most valuable feature in sports: muscle mass. Also there aren't regulations on everything so as height for example which is also a birth given advantage. So I never thought trans atheletes were bad or these made out monsters but I also believe the topic shouldn't be simplified on both sides by just saying " they should compete like everyone else" or "they shouldn't be able to compete at all" .
I'm sorry for the long paragraph but I am curious about other peoples opinions when taking everything into consideration. But obviously I could have missed something so let me know please :))
@Cidney Lysander WTF THIS IS BEYOND MESSED UP
@Cidney Lysander Thanks for the answer! I absolutely agree coming on the topic in schools. Most of the trans girls won't have undergone male puberty or only in such a little amount it might not give that of a great advantage.
So I also think it might be the best solution to make it depended of the testosterone levels and the time someone has been on HRT.
But honestly it is better explained by the channel from Derek "More Plates More Dates" who makes highly informed Videos on many topics including hormones and test levels. He also made a video on Veronica Ivy (a trans athlete)and I think you might want to check it out. I actually trust his information because he is really educated on the topic. So this is were most of my info is coming from. Just be aware he might not use the correct terms sometimes such as transition or is a little blunt but watching the video I never thought he was genuinely transphobic.
The one with the nerves is also just something I have learned on the channel but might have understood wrong, I just don't know.
I also agree that most arguments which are made come from hatred and ignorance, still wanting to put trans people down. I have heard about the weird laws being made especially in the US which sound degrading. So I think a humane but also somewhat scientific regarded approach is important. But as I said I don't even know if the science I based the post on are true.
@@fishkind7295 wait but I’m confused here, how would bone density give an advantage to trans women? Like if the bones are denser doesn’t it mean that they’re heavier, thus harder to lift and move? And paired with the loss of muscular mass wouldn’t that be a disadvantage? Idk if I’m completely wrong here it’s just something I didn’t really understand
I always love that those ads always start with "we should give people from the lgbtq community the right to adopt, right? we should give them basic human rights, right?" then they 'explain' why lgbtq community dont deserve basic human rights either cuz of religion or "science"
isn't it just lovely how they complain about the "government forcing their views onto them", while trying to deny trans people rights and *doing the same thing* .
do these people think that all trans women are tall, buff, & athletically superior?? like, all the ladies they're showing are just total *units*
Not all but some yes , and those cases would be totally unfair for woman. It’s dangerous , that’s why sports are separated by biology (sex , not gender)
@@ariadnavaldivia9820 Yeah, but there are cis women out there who are equally, if not more muscular than those women. Should we start banning them from any and all sports too? Tell me you hate women who don't conform to your very specific ideas of what a woman is without using those words.
@@ariadnavaldivia9820 So what? Even among cis women you're going to have those who have a biological advantage in strength.
@@TaraZaraChara yes, but the difference due to sex is totally bigger and much more significant , that’s why we have separate categories. Otherwise we wouldn’t separate most physical sports by sex right? Or do you think there shouldn’t be a sex separation in the first place?

the reason this ad pisses me off, trans aside, is that these people automatically assume that men can beat women at any sport. idk i just get a misogynistic vibe from things like this.
it's not misogyny it's science. the strongest and best female fighter lost a fight to an unknown mediocre male fighter in a test to prove that men being stronger than women is a myth. that trans female athlete at UPenn was mediocre on the men's team but is now taking every title away from the female swimmers that have worked so hard most of their life simply because of the biological advantage that people like you try to deny. why have there never been any FTM trans athletes that dominate in the male sports? the worst of it all is when women like those on the swimming team have to anonymously voice their concerns because they might lose job opportunities or even get suspended. our voices are getting silenced all to accommodate for in the end the opposite s*x (S*x and gender are not the same)
About the sports thing: these women are like “If these trans women who are better then me weren’t in the race I would’ve had a higher ranking!!!!”
Is literally the same as saying “if these cis women who are better than me weren’t in the race I would have a higher ranking!!!”
Like sure- in a race with nine people, if you removed everyone in 1st through 8th place you’d be first every time, no matter who you’re racing, it’s so dumb.
