We're their shields and there really isn't much to be done because its your word against their opinion of if it's valued but you can tell they're a bunch of fakes who just want to be special if they truly couldn't wear a mask they'd send someone who could not loiter around in a shop talking like it's nothing. If they couldn't truly not wear a mask they'd opt for a face shield or at least have humility over not even being able to do that.
Again, you don't guilt or force them to wear Shields. Your health isn't everyone's responsibility, it's yours. Now, if people made it a choice, but not mandatory that'd be much better. I'm not against masks anyways, just not being forced to wear them.

I’ve actually enjoyed wearing a mask, it makes me feel safer when I’m out in public, not only protecting me from germs but from people too. I think it helps my social anxiety because it feels like a protective barrier. Plus it helps my self esteem because it covers skin blemishes/ spots I get on my chin or around my mouth and nose. It’s a win-win situation in my opinion 🤷♀️

I literally have sensory issues, to the point where I have caused my lips to be bloody and raw because of stress, I still wear a mask, even with multiple people telling me that it is best for me to not wear a face mask, medical professionals saying that. People have a choice to wear a shirt, but should realize that they might make others uncomfortable and they reserve the right to refuse service. But, if you walk barefoot into a warehouse, you will be asked to leave for safety concerns. If you walked barefoot into the fast food place that i worked in (which did not have the policy), i would have worried for you. Farmers coming in and scraping manure off their shoes onto the rugs while they order. Not only that, but i wouldn't want to step on the thing that recently had strong cleaning chemicals in bare feet. If you have pets that poop outdoors in the grass, you could step in it. If there was any construction, you could be stepping on rusty nails (i cannot tell you the number of times my soles saved me from nails and screws after we tore down our barn). There's also nettles, wild parsnip, and much, much more you wouldn't want to step on. So i would very much say that wearing shoes is a safety concern. Also so you can't sue a place for having your bare foot stepped on or ran over. You might not do it, but *someone* would.

People complaining about "it's not healthy!!" to wear a mask for 30 minutes in a grocery store yet nurses have to wear N95s, plus two extra surgical masks, face shields, goggles, gowns, and run around for 12 hours doing routine and emergency procedures and are fine. And, not to toot my own horn, but I also am able to wear a mask for 9 hours straight during my night shift job.

I live in Germany here it’s a duty to wear a mask, in grocery stores and sometimes even on the streets. For other shops like clothing stores you actually need a negative COVID-19 test to enter. If you get caught not wearing a mask you need to pay a lot money.

I have Anxiety, Lyme Disease, ADHD, and Depression. I wear a mask perfectly fine. Lyme Disease makes my immune system absolute shit. I wear one perfectly fine. Stop using Anxiety as an excuse. Anxiety doesn't make in hard to wear a mask. It actually sometimes makes it easier because people can't see your face.
Edit: Forgot to mention that some people with ADHD get a card on a lanyard that tell people they don't have wear a mask. It's a sensory issue thing. Just so happens that I don't work the same way.

We're their shields and there really isn't much to be done because its your word against their opinion of if it's valued but you can tell they're a bunch of fakes who just want to be special if they truly couldn't wear a mask they'd send someone who could not loiter around in a shop talking like it's nothing. If they couldn't truly not wear a mask they'd opt for a face shield or at least have humility over not even being able to do that.

I’ve actually enjoyed wearing a mask, it makes me feel safer when I’m out in public, not only protecting me from germs but from people too. I think it helps my social anxiety because it feels like a protective barrier. Plus it helps my self esteem because it covers skin blemishes/ spots I get on my chin or around my mouth and nose. It’s a win-win situation in my opinion 🤷♀️

And one of my personal favorite things about it: When I'm having a panic attack or need to calm down, my mask immediately slows my breathing when I put it on. When I don't have a mask I pull the collar of my shirt over my nose just because it's relaxing to me. I don't know why, It just works.

I can't stand these people. My mother is a nurse and she has been wearing the mask at work the whole day, every day, since March/April. She's tired but she has to wear it because otherwise more people will get sick. It's common sense mixed with a little bit of empathy, it's not that hard to keep a mask on your face (unless you have a condition that prevents you from wearing it of course).

My mom is super anti mask and she was telling me she'd "prove they're bad", so she took an oxygen level tester in the morning. She got like a 99/100. Then, she wore a mask for 6 hours straight throughout her day, and tested her levels. She got a 98/100.

People have a choice to wear a shirt, but should realize that they might make others uncomfortable and they reserve the right to refuse service. That doesn’t physically affect anyone else, but now that this pandemic has been politicized, people are protesting.

If you walked barefoot into the fast food place that i worked in (which did not have the policy), i would have worried for you. Not because of dangerous objects falling on the floor like screws or glass, bur because i've seen literal shit on the floor that you could very well unknowingly be stepping in. Farmers coming in and scraping manure off their shoes onto the rugs while they order. This one person who shat everywhere except the toilet in the bathroom, then calmly walked out leaving disgustingly perfect brown footprints from the bathroom to the door. We had people throw up and spills of all sorts. Yeah, we cleaned it up, but i honestly wouldn't even sit on the floor since i knew what had been there previously. Not only that, but i wouldn't want to step on the thing that recently had strong cleaning chemicals in bare feet.
If you have pets that poop outdoors in the grass, you could step in it. If there was any construction, you could be stepping on rusty nails (i cannot tell you the number of times my soles saved me from nails and screws after we tore down our barn). There's also nettles, wild parsnip, and much, much more you wouldn't want to step on.
So i would very much say that wearing shoes is a safety concern. Also so you can't sue a place for having your bare foot stepped on or ran over. You might not do it, but *someone* would.

People complaining about "it's not healthy!!" to wear a mask for 30 minutes in a grocery store yet nurses have to wear N95s, plus two extra surgical masks, face shields, goggles, gowns, and run around for 12 hours doing routine and emergency procedures and are fine. And, not to toot my own horn, but I also am able to wear a mask for 9 hours straight during my night shift job.
nurses are heroes, honestly.
and athletes that have to play (and masks get hella gross) with them on for two-hour games and they sweat and their skin gets irritated don't complain nearly as much as a karen who has to wear on for 10 mins to get starbucks
The only reason I can't wear certain masks is because I have a sensory disorder but I still wear one without complaining

I hear that a very small percentage of people are getting infections from wearing masks. Most likely because they don't wash them or let them get moldy, but still. That .000001 percent getting sick from a mask is worse to them than a 1-3 percent chance of dying of covid. (These are random numbers. I didn't actually look them up).

I live in Germany here it’s a duty to wear a mask, in grocery stores and sometimes even on the streets. For other shops like clothing stores you actually need a negative COVID-19 test to enter. If you get caught not wearing a mask you need to pay a lot money.

She has to wear these items from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm.My mom does need breaks here and there from the mask. She said After afew hours of wearing them it gets hard to breath.

Yeah, the proper full medical masks are to be worn for few-hour periods with breaks. The common masks that people complain about wearing, however, have virtually no impact on breathing.
