5 STARS. I live in Texas. Good curry is not the easiest to find here, so my husband and I have been searching for good recipes to try at home. I had ground lamb in the freezer, so we tried this recipe and it was WONDERFUL. It's authentic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We had to use jalapeno peppers as a substitute for green chilies and they dissolved into the sauce (is that supposed to happen?!?), but other than that we followed this method to a "T" which is SPOT ON. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic recipe with us, Latif!!! My only regret is there weren't more leftovers to freeze because we both had second helpings! *starts saving for Latif's cookbook*
You can pick up the green chillies, latif uses at any indian grocery store like "Patel Brothers" or India Bazzar. Patel Brothers is better and they have all the spices from this recipe.
Dude. I've followed your channel for the last 2 yrs. You are an inspiration. This is the one dish, I keep coming back to whilst I'm cooking this every other week. Everytime it is great but not as great as trying it in your restaurant. Hope you are well and business back to normal as I plan to be in uk soon and will definitely pop in.
Your mum is a sweetheart. She taught you so well even if you did throw a strop now and then. This was so tasty and now one of my fav’s. Man that was good.

Been trying to make great curries from written recipes for 20 years but without much success until I saw your videos. Thanks for doing these, I’ve finally had a breakthrough.
As my husband and I are visual learners this recipe is so easy and tasty!!! It’s hard teaching curries but this has been helpful for us both the video and instructions within the video. I usually don’t listen when people talk and just watch the ingredients as it can get long and boring but this was so helpful and clear, can’t wait for more recipes 👏🏾
What I have learned most of all from these visual recipes is to take my time. I have, until now just added, heated up, and cooked. The time of cooking between additions is a true teaching, thank you Latif!
'Be brave, Be bold' This is what stops people from cooking. They just don't believe they can do it. It can be very easy to cook and extremely satisfying. No food tastes as good as food you made with your own hand cos you get that satisfaction from making it yourself as well as a full stomach. Big up Big Latif.
Absolutely love all your videos, and I love how real things are. I know you said people are meticulous with time, but I find it so much helpful that you show what we are looking for in terms of texture/colour change etc. I think it helps us become more confident and intuitive cooks rather than just blindly following times that may not even be accurate when everyone's equipment is different lol
Hey Latif, thanks from Toronto and for bringing back VERY fond memories of when I was taken care of after school by the Maliks. May they be blessed wherever they are. It’s all I can remember Mrs Malik cook, I remember it sooooo well. I know it was different according to their regional taste, but I’ll cook this in tribute to them and in gratitude to you and your mum. I pray for all our health during the COVID19 pandemic. Peace & Blessings!

Hi Latif. I think that you are great chef, person and a great communicator. As a crazy curry addict living in Belfast who likes making his own from scratch your generous videos imparting the theory behind a perfect curry are helping me to do a better job. Love your enthusiasm! My first unforgettable curry experience was in Birmingham in 1985. I went to a basic little Balti restaurant where they served a delicious curry to me in the Karahi it was cooked in and provided a large nan to eat it with. Knife and fork were not an option. THANK YOU very much for inviting us into your kitchen. Keith
