Hi, Al. Watched many of your videos but this is the first one I've made. Just finished eating, never tasted anything like it before. Unbelievable flavour. I'll be going back through your videos and making more. Absolutely spot on.
I already knew Al was a legend. He reached God tier when using the phrase "a little bit like hotdog onions" to describe the level of done-ness you should be looking for.
Had my 1st jab. Felt like crap for 2 days (aching joints, headaches and tired), but so glad I had it done, not just for me but for others and to be able to push this country forward to normality. 2nd one end of April. Can't wait to got back in a good BIR restaurant with all my pals. Keep up to great work, Al.
Love it. Made my day. Been watching and learning the past month after seeing a thread on the Sunderland msg board. Best curries ever. Keep them coming. Haway the lads.
Just cooked this tonight. As per recipe except had no tinned toms so chucked in a load of cherry toms instead and added tom puree. Another addition was some pre cooked lamb cubes so it was similar to Rara Ghosht. Was not sure about the chana but glad I did add them. Top drawer! Mrs was well happy with my culinary offering! I may get lucky tonight Al 😀
I woke up at 2am after my jab, full of beans. Couldn’t sleep the rest of the night. Nothing other than that. I love your curries and this looks like yet another winner!
Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. I will defintely give it a try. You seem very much besotted with India, your hindi pronunciation is perfect. My husband can't pronounce these hindi words as good as you can, and he is visiting India every year from the last 30 years except last year due to covid19. Namaste🙏
Look forward to making this tomorrow with Beyond mince. Maybe a few mushrooms to bulk it out. Every dish you make I manage to convert to veggie no bother at all! Brilliant videos, channel and banter as usual!
Thanks, Al! I'm going to upscale this for four today, but use ground turkey as I had a lamb curry yesterday in the only local Indian/Nepalese place in the small town in the USA I currently find myself in. I'll pad it out further with some tinned new potatoes, a second can of chick peas, another onion, and whatever else I can find in the house that appeals. I really like all your videos, and have made several with good results, but this appeals right now because I can make a variant with what I have without having to go to the store and it is a simple recipe without needing a base gravy. Thanks! P.S. I had the Moderna vaccine - first dose in December 2020 and the second dose in January this year. I had no problems with the first dose, and woke with chills and a slight fever at 4am with the second dose. By midday I was fine. Not a pleasant experience but certainly better than getting a bad case of the 'Rona!
Al, you'r a STAR. I just made this and its BLOODY ANSOME my Beauty. I added extra tin of Potatoes and some finger chillies to this, my mouth is tingling. Will deffo be making this again. Thanks Big Al.
Hi AL. Had my jab 3 weeks ago. It effects people differently .Some of my friends had no side effects were as I had one hell of a head ache for 2 days. Glad to see this recipe today. Used to have this years ago in Brum.
Hi Al. Made this today and it was just so nice that my eldest son and I polished the whole lot off. I added a handful or two of Sultanas to the dish whilst cooking. Bloody gorgeous and thanks again for sharing 👍
Just made this one for dinner, obviously tasting as I progressed with it. Must admit I wasn't too impressed with the flavours but I persevered with it and carried on following your recipe. You were spot on, it all comes together at the end. My god it was just the best food I've tasted for a long while.
Looks mega! Love the recipes that don’t need base gravy (the BG ones are great too but there’s something a bit more special about a curry made from scratch, I think). This is definitely getting made before the week is out.
Al, top class , I made this tonight and was superb and so easy , everyone commented how good it was ... keep up the good work, come on you Spurs !! Mappa
Cheers Al! Making this for the second time in 2 weeks. Wife loves it, just had to chuck in some frozen stir fry veg as well to appease her. Thankfully here in NZ we have some pretty good lamb and great butchers!
Thanks for all your efforts with your channel Al. I've made many of your recipes and really appreciate that you try and help and encourage everyone to enjoy great food. Others on here mystify and muddle their content often contradicting previous advice / info without explanation. I'm going to make this today for my mum for Easter. Thank you again!
I love a good healthy handful of frozen ( then thawed) spinach to a lamb dish as it break up the fattness. I made your chicken kofta as last week and they were awesome! So simple yet tasty. Only recommendation would be to add some spice/ green chilly to the meatballs themselves too give them some more depth of flavour.
Liverpool fans are the only fans in the world who will genuinely believe their claims that their lack of goals is down to an injured centre back - lol - United! United! United! You're still amazing Al!
Made this recipe this morning (for tomorrow night), all savoury foods taste better the next day, it tastes delicious. My kitchen smells of cumin. Thanks Al.
Love a good Keema, especially on a bed of chips. Never used chick peas but I will now as it looks amazing. A nice bottle of Stella artois to go with this one for me.. cheers Al 🍻
I normally have a few beers when i make curry too. I make big portions too for the whole family. I dont like stirring huge amount of onions until my arms hurt so i just put music on have a few beers and chill
One word, YUM! Looks bloody lovely that Al, as do all of your dishes. My missus just caught me watching this, she said less watching and more cooking please lol !!
Nice one Al. I've been doing a bit of cooking lately using minced lamb for making donar kebab meat, so I will buy more and give your recipe a try. I also like your drinks machine 😋 . BTW, I'm also looking forward to my 2nd vaccine dose, so that I have better protection against covid. Take care Davy
Hi Al looks awesome am going to try that one i am 59 and had my jab three weeks ago was quite achy for three days after with a headache like a hangover without the booze! i can't wait for my next jab if it saves my life its well worth the side effects ;-) As far as you having a hair transplant WHY you look pretty good to me and your beard makes up for your hair loss. I may have a head of hair albeit greying but i would die for a beard like yours i have never been able to grow decent beard like you have so forget worrying about the hair do ;-) anyway back to the food WHEN are you bringing a book out please ;-) Chas
Just made it, used ground pork, tastes very nice. I'll be eating in couple hours for supper. Have yet to find a chickpea curry I like, though I love , love chickpeas and of course Currys.
Got my jab too. I viewed todays vid this morning and made it for our evening meal, Very easy and a different nice earthy flavour with the whole Cumin seeds in the onions. We added some paneer cubes as my daughter likes the halloumi like texture. Great dishes for the family this and your meat ball dish. Glad you are on the mend with your barnet. Can I ask will the beer in your dispenser keep for a bit. I know its too good, enough to keep going back. But will you get a week out of one keg? Cheers.
As an old man I've had both vaccines jabs. I'm happy and only had a sore arm for a day so all's good. If others don't want it that's entirely their call.
That looks amazing - and very easy too. Would it detract too much from the overall flavour if you used low fat mince to achieve a turbo-healthy result?
Hi Ai, Michael in Cyprus. In the links you referenced a Gas Hob. Is that correct, it looks an electric hob. Can you clarify this for me? Keep up the good work my friend.
Had first jab Sunday. Woke up 2am Wednesday with pain in my leg so bad I literally called an ambulance. The other half was pissing herself laughing, I thought i was dying. Never had pain like it before & I hope I never have it again. Roll on second jab 😖😖😖
Hi Al hope your getting better! I absolutely love this dish, one of my favourites from what I’ve tried. Thing is, my wife won’t eat lamb mince, could I swap out the lamb mince for beef mince or wouldn’t the spices go with beef? If not, is there a recipe for a minced beef dish that’s similar to this and if so, what’s the dish called? TIA, love the channel 👍🏻
Hi Al, another Fantastic video I will definitely be trying, a strange thing to ask I know but could you tell me the diameter of your Dabba, I didnt realise there were so many sizes so I’m unsure which one to go for 😳
Please subscribe to the channel. It helps more than you could ever know!!! Al

Just finished making it. DELICIOUS! Tasty and mild as you mentioned it will be amazing with bread.
@@davidlindsay6072 That's great to hear. Just add chillies if you want hotter.
Made this tonight Al, and took your suggestion to also add Paneer. An absolute winner, especially with the optional chillies added.
Keep up the good work al tryed many of your recipes and everyone of them are delicious thanks again.
Nice recipe looking forwards to the next one. I like the different topics of convosations 🙂 feels like I'm cooking along with one of my mates

I used pork and rice with peas and it was delicious.

2 hrs or so passed and it's an amazing dish, love it. Thank you
Could of sworn you said to use an aluminium pan which helps the dish caramelise ?
With Bir style curry. (British Indian restaurant). With base gravy
having your 5 spice dhansak tonight banging recipe could you give a good naan demo ive many recipes but would like to als!
Great 👍
I,m double insulated against covid. But I think one of your spicy dishes would have the same effect and a lot more enjoyable.
Good job al
Great video again Al, 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Non stick pan here mate?
Hi al I’m going to make this tomorrow, would you use the boiled onion method for this curry now, thanks ben

Yeah, of course. Go with it
Liverpool did ok considering their injuries
Hi Ai, Michael in Cyprus. In the links you referenced a Gas Hob. Is that correct, it looks an electric hob. Can you clarify this for me? Keep up the good work my friend.
Gonna have pop out for some lamb mince and chickpeas now .
No jab for me 99.7% survival rate my anti bodies will do me just fine
until you want to leave the country and require a vaccine passport. I dont want the jab but I have to get it to be able to carry out my job.
Curry looks good not to keen on the chickpeas. I'll add potatoes and cauliflower give that a try. Loving the taste tests hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Great stuff Al! Looking forward to a new chicken tikka masala recipe soon? Hope you don't mind me asking every video :D
great vid Al, poor old scousers lol up the Hammers x
Can I add a bit of base gravy to this just to give it an extra bit of sauce
At what point did you add the green chillis? I must have missed it.
Drink beer and eat curry! My life coach...
YUMMY!
Don't blame you. Minced beef onions I've never liked. It' reminds me of school dinners.
Your links to Amazon all seem to default to the USA site.
Hi Al great video again, can you do a naan bread in your tandoori oven please.
Great suggestion!
Going to do this! YNWA x
...Just got the lamb mince from my local butcher! Watch the match, eat a lamb keema curry. All good.

I had the same vaccine and the same side effects. Burnt right up in the middle of the night with a mad headache! Got over it though the next day.
Hi you said not to long ago curry must be cooked in a aluminium pan now we use none stick ?
