I've been arachnophobic my entire life but over the last year have fallen in love with tarantulas! Figure that one out?! I plan on getting my first T soon and it's going to be the green bottle blue! I just LOVE them!
I was also a severe arachnophobic until my grandson had me catch a huge wolf spider and ever since then I have fallen in love with spiders. I been keeping wolf spiders for a couple years now and finally got my first tarantula a month ago. I got a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula. I wish you all the happiness I received when I got her.
When my eldest daughter was younger, she was scared of even the smallest of spiders. I took her to a pet store that had a few tarantulas, and after talking with the guy there we bought a Chilean Rose. This was around 25 years ago. She overcame her fear of spiders, and both my daughters as well as myself all have love and appreciation for spiders.
Acanthoscurria geniculata! I love mine! She’s huge, always out, great feeding response and beautiful pattern. I think they would have been a good addition to the list
Thanks a lot. I certainly try. I really wanted yo elevate the tarantula niche in UA-cam to the same level of other niches. But I'm starting from scratch..just getting my first dslr and editing software about a year ago and learning as I go
@@tarantulacollective If you've only being doing this for that short of a time that's amazing! Your videos on tarantulas is what motivated me to get one. I've got a Curly hair called Carlos and I'm surprised they've all got there own personalities and funny qwerks about them. Collecting tarantulas is never about not being satisfied with the previous one, it's about enjoying the different qualities they have. The hobby's relaxing and fun, reminds me to admire nature. Elevate the niche, keep up the great content!
My favorite thing to do with these top 10 videos is listen to the facts about the tarantula and try to guess which one your talking about before you say it. I really enjoy these videos
Honestly, as someone who wants to get into T collecting in the future at some point, your channel has helped me a shit ton, especially these lists going over T's that may be good for beginners, good for handling or good display ones, they all genuinely help a lot. As a plus they're tidy and give explanations on the T's that may interest me or other viewers and hey, as another plus your video quality is crisp and very pleasing to the eye, so it makes it an absolute joy to watch your videos. So, thank you for having such a cool and rather underrated channel dude keep it up!
Im a newbee only started this month and bought 3 sling a chaco golden knee, mexican fireleg, salmon pink birdeater and a 3 inches OBT so happy 3 of them is in this video but the OBT 😊. Please keep inspiring love your videos
came to the comments to say A.geniculata. Looks fantastic, impressive size and mine is super curious, always calmly comes to the front of it's tank to watch people watching it which is a bit of crowd pleaser for those who are curious about them. Absolutely a pleasure to own, even when it goes mental over it's dinner, chews up everything I put in the tank and fights me for the water bowl.
I am all about display tarantulas. I love Tarantulas and by golly I want everyone that visits my house to enjoy the beauty of this spider too . So I try to buy the ones that are noted for NOT being pet holes. I don’t want people to think I’m some crazy guy who collects dirt. I love the Brachypelmas. Glad they made the list 😁 thanks Richard!
Even if Ts do go down into their burrows it will also be because they are getting ready to molt and they need to have privacy and safety. My Curly Hair used to be more out and about and very active, but now she's in her cork bark cabin(aka hide, cave) and she's closed up shop lol. its clear she is preparing for her premolt. I been learning about the premolt signs from FB T groups and of course through youtube channels on T husbandry. So the only time she will hide is when she has a premolt coming up and wants some privacy. Thats my girl! :) doing what Ts do best. And before then, using macro lens on my iphone to take some photos of her is absolute amazing!! Curlys have got gorgeous fine hairs that make macro lens soo fun to have and use! All the details are awesome! So when out and about, Curlys are my top fav display buddy :))
Out of the top ten, I have five and today we just got our second juvenile B. Hamorii, but I think she might be a smithi! Looking at the two side by side, there are definite differences. Poor thing was not properly cared for. She looked stressed but is now very comfortable and at only 2.5 inches, she's already a gorgeous display T! Thank you, Richard. I love your channel.
I would've picked the A. geniculata as number one. I have never seen an A. genic of any size use a hide or make a burrow. Mine even molt right out in the open. It's the only species I can count on to be out and about to show off to visitors, and it's always down for a feeding performance, too. (I just wish I could clean their water bowls without getting attacked, haha.) Unfortunately, my C. elegans is almost always in her burrow and doesn't like coming out. Same with my C. versicolor. :(
That is a bummer. I really missed the boat on the Acanthoscurria, mine are always out a lot. And I have SOOOOOOO much footage of them...really could've saved a lot of time shooting had I added them to the list. Lol
I have an A.geniculata that runs for his hide any time you get close to the habitat. He's a bit of a weird on though. First 3 months I had him he wouldn't eat live prey, was terrified if it moved and would run laps trying to get away from it
yep thats what I thought too my AG is always sitting out and so beautiful one of my first spiders I got and still totally one of my favourites. she liked to burrow and hide as a sling/juvie ofc but after about 10cm wide she never went underground again and very highly feratious too I have to be careful not to overfeed her bcus she is a little piglet and will always always eat and she did get super fat a couple of moults ago 🐖🐖😂
A. geniculata, as mentioned, might be one I'd pick over a grammastola, but that's a personal preference. They're both very revered in the hobby. I think pink zebra beauties would be an honorable mention as well. I knew T. Stirmi would take the cake at #1, once you really get a good look at them and a beautiful set up they almost look like they're covered in velvet or suede. It's breathtaking.
It’s probably better than in person, since we’d need magnifying glasses to see so much detail in person. But I’d like to see them in person because I want to hold some of the friendly ones. 😆
no problem...and yeah..that is what happens when you are editing video at 3am the day before the upload...you overlook little details...i can believe i didnt see that to delete it before i uploaded..lol
Thanks! I did one last year, but it is probably high time to do a follow up. You can the last collection tour here: ua-cam.com/play/PLjBrtja7Q8uhkqOC0G9HTMYJI3Rz4tMkt.html
I love when some of the more "boring" colored tarantulas with less bright colors make the list- I like to appreciate the simple beauty of the spider sometimes, and especially with how they are a lot more sociable. My Brachypelma hamorii is ALWAYS out and walking around, I've had him for 11 years (He's so old for a male!) since he was a sling and I just love watching him walk all around the enclosure.
Great vid! Also, all five of my T‘s were on this list or mentioned, haha. I remember watching this and other vids to help me decide which ones to get, wonder who had the biggest influence... in the end I got a GBB, Salmon Pink (LP), Hamorii/smithi?, Caribena versicolor and (didnt make the list, but was mentioned) G.rosea, all as little slings. Very happy with them and your videos are a really great place to come to for good structured information. the 2 different people I bought my Ts from also recommended your channel. We’re from Germany! And lots of people here are still not really into english speaking channels, so that says something as well!
Wow....it still blows my mind when I hear about people watching these videos around the world. That's so cool people in Germany recommend my channel...I hope my content didnt disappoint. I've had some of my videos translated with Spanish subtitles...maybe inwill have to look into finding someone that translate some German subtitles.
I just love how you feel about the creatures in life that don't get as much love as others. You really put your heart and amazing soul into it. I love those kind of creatures too. God bless you
I know you had a lot of Brachypelmas on the list but I would've loved the see B. Albopilosum. They're just the biggest, fluffiest ts and look so damn pretty.
I know I thought the same!!!! Mine is out 100% of the time now that she's an adult, and just so fluffy! I love too she has a rose gold sheen on those hairs too
My adult T. albo is a great display fuzzball. she'll even just fold her legs in trying to be small out in the open, won't use a hide. definitely a great conversation piece
My girl Nefertiti a curly hair is out of the time.absolutely love her.also my bolt,my pink toe.planning on getting the carribena versicolor eventually and a Arizona Blonde
Love to get a carribena versicolor. Not sure how hard it will be to find one..im surprised you didn't meantion a OBT.i know its a old world and very defensive and aggressive but It's orange color is beautiful. Love to get a Arizona Blonde and a Brazilian Black Pulchra and a Green Bottle Blue Im surprised you didn't meantion a Blue Fang.
Gutted to see A.Gen's didn't make the list, but still some amazing and some of my favourite T's mentioned! And can I just say, the music? Absolutely epic!
Nice! Glad you enjoyed the music...i was trying to make it as epic as possible. Lol. Yeah...I missed the boat on the A. geniculata...whiddling down 100s of Ts that are right in front of you to a list of 10 is pretty dificult... I spent a lot of time agonizing over the list and cant believe I didnt have that species on there! LoL
Im a newbie in the hobby from the philippines and have some t's like the golden knee, albo hondu, but i have this one tarantula which is a burrower that is always out and keeps on waving at me no matter if it is night time or daytime.. My davus pentaloris.. Soo beautiful and vibrant, those black and orangey tiger stripes are amusing, a little bit skittish but a monster when it comes to feeding..
Thank you for great content, Richard. Instant like as always :) As for me, my number one display tarantula is G. pulchra. I've raised one from the L1 sling to adult and had it for about 8 years till it sadly died and now have another juvenile female in my collection which I looked for months to buy. From my experience, this is the most active and fun to watch T, when they get to the decent size they just become digging machines, constantly rearranging terrain and doing the spider stuff while staying in the open and the velvet black color and thickness, you just can't go wrong with them. I can understand why you choose G. pulchripes, it was my first tarantula and it's great in many ways, but I'll go for G. pulchra, it just has a special place in my heart.
In today’s society I get the pressure to always be visible. Like when I don’t post, people act like I don’t exist. Tarantulas teach me that even when I’m in my burrow, I’m still here and gorgeous 🥰
Great list RedBeard! As you were describing the LP I'm sure every hobbyists was like "Its an LP. its AN LP. ITS AN LP!!" lol appreciate the video and hard work you put into them for us as usual brother.
Richard, I am a beginner of about 8 months. Just watching your great videos, has helped me a lot. I have learned so much from them. That and I research this fabulous creature thru many other outlets. I have always loved spiders, played with them as a kid. Just wanted to say thank you sir for such great work. Tis a great hobby to have. Be cool. Teddy W
Just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all the amazing content. I'm new to the hobby, but have quickly become fascinated with Ts and their amazing beauty. I've been watching video after video, and I'm totally obsessed now. Keep up the great work!
I love your knowledge and tarantulas and your knowledge of human interaction via opinions. The way you understand comments is just really neat. Nice youtube page. Goodluck on your collection. I play runescape while watching all your videos. I love this.
Amazing video!! I was thinking about doing a video like this on my channel, not sure I need to now as most of my top 10 are the same as what you picked. So glad you included the LP. I think that's is massively underrated in the hobby.
Thanks a lot Al...you should still do the video..I'd be interested to see your take. There are a few Ts I am already regretting not having put on the list ...lol
@@tarantulacollective I think I will, where do you get the inspiration for your videos? As I keep getting a block and don't want to churn out the same old videos.
Honestly, I get ideas from the questions people ask me or that I see people asking in different Facebook groups and on reddit. I figure if more than one person is asking the question, it would probably make a good video bc there is probably a lot more out there curious about the topic.
A. Geniculata is probably one of my top display ts but as my golden knee was was my first ever tarantula and watched him grow from small juvie to full grown adult that was always out and looking gorgeous, that species definitely has a place there too
Your video's are so entertaining, I love it. I only have the one T for now and it was the honorable mention, The Grammostola Pulchra. I want a GBB so bad but my truck needs to be fixed first.
I own 5 Ts, 3 of them are in ur list (pulchra, pulchripes and gbb) and next monday i get a T. stirmi so i god damn agree with u. Keep up the amazing work!
Another great video! My T. stirmi is always out and about, showing off the orange stripes on her knees. My list (in no particular order) would be G. pulchripes, T. stirmi, C. versicolour, B. smithi, A. geniculata, P. vitorii, E. pulcherimaklassi, B. klassi, C. cyanopubescens, B. albiceps.
I absolutely love that P Auratus made it. I got it because I wanted a Phormictopus and the feeding response with these guys impresses people. Mine also communicates its needs very effectively; often it will burrow to molt, toss the molt to the surface and then reappear when it's ready to eat. Honestly, I have 20 species and my P Auratus has to be in my top 3 favourites. The camera really doesn't do the colouration justice, and my wife says that it looks cute. My H Pulchripes also acts the way yours does. Gorgeous, just molted yesterday and confirmed lady!
I feel you Alan...the P. auratus is an awesome specimen whose beauty cant really be captured in the camera...not sure if that is the limitations of the camera or my limitations with k owing how best to use lighting and cameras...buy I'm learning. Lol. That's cool your pulchripes acts similarly!
im going to the pomona reptile super show in a 4 days and im so excited! im going there to get more t’s for my collection and this definitely helped. thank you!
Great list I agree about the Stirmi I don’t own one (Yet) but they are so cool every time I see one in person! Your Marco made me notice they seem to have red-ish tipped hairs. I just added a Brachypelma albopilosum and so far he/she is my best display T, he/she is always out showing of those wild hairs!😁
I was surprised with #7. Of course we have tarantulas here in the Philippines, why wouldn't there be? Now I can't stop thinking about it. 😨 Phobia aside, I hope hobbyists who love these animals could help with preserving some of the species that are vulnerable or endangered in the wild. Most countries, including the Philippines, don't exactly have ample time and budget for wildlife preservation so maybe the passionate people with the means can provide help with the solution. Cool of you to shout out your Filipino viewers 🇵🇭. Great job on this video and thank you for the great content!
Hey Richard, awesome video as always! I would of liked to see the D. Diamantanensis on the list. Another T to add to your husbandry list is the Gramastola Iheringi. They're a very unique species in the slow growing, typically docile Gramastola Genus. They've become one of my favorite T's as of late, and I'd love to see them featured on this channel. Thanks again for your amazing content, and information!
I considered putting the D. diamantanensis on the list, but I just dont see mine out in the open enough for it to make the cut. I have a few other Top 10 lists in the works and I can guarantee you that it has made the cut in an upcoming video :)
If you watched these vids on silent you'd think this guy was rapping by his hand gestures lol.. Awesome content, 100% helped me get over my fear of spiders. I own 5 now and more soon no doubt
awesome videos keep these coming! I just recently got into the hobby a few months ago and currently have 3 sub adults and 3 slings all bought from pet expos and a local exotic pet store. Plan on growing my collection in the future. I used to be scared of spiders for no reason now I think they're awesome and adorable lol
People will comment for one T over another, but really was just a good overall opinion based vid. Enjoyed! I like the brachypelma emilia over the Smithi personally.
OMG...my Salmon got here today along with 4 others ... What have you done to me, Richard, you Deadly Tarantula Girl, Petko, Kat, Tom Moran, Dan, Spiderman, Tarantula Haven yeah...I'm RuInT LOL I Love it
Both my sons favorites are on the list. He really wants a T and im working on my fear of spiders so he can get one your videos are great and i understand them better from you and it makes me a bit more comfortable with the idea of having a 6 in spider in my house
Love the energy you give your videos! You should do a top 10 arboreal, terrestrial, and fossorial vids next..I want an a. chalcodes for my first ever t but cant decide on other species to have an arboreal and a fossorial variety
Hi Richard, I'm brand new to keeping tarantulas, I kind of followed my wife into the hobby as my preference had been for snakes, with a particular love of Royal Pythons. I love your videos and the community you have created especially your Facebook page where I have had some excellent advice. I currently have a Psalmopoeus irminia sub-adult female and a sling Tliitocatyl albopilosus. I just wanted to thank you for the videos because they have already taught me so much and I'm really looking forward to learning more.
Nice vid! Im from Philippines and I also realized that the tarantula I have one time tried to catch in my school's parking lot is an O. Philippinus i really regret for me having a bad catching skill, but i'm still happy to see a tarantula is nearby.
Yaaaaaayyyy! UA-cam recommendations were actually useful for once! I have a baby golden knee who's never dug a burrow once 🤔 My fireleg was my first T. Yours is GORGEOUS 😍
Very glad you found the channel! Score one for UA-cam! It has been pretty generous lately recommending my content to people. It is awesome to have you!
Your content is great. Notes for anyone. Avics are easy to kill as slings. They just drop dead for no reason. Also Chaco Gold Knee is a bit mardy. Mine runs off from it's crickets. I don't like my Salmon Pink. Not at all chilled. Aggressive, charges at me, hair flicks habitually. A bit annoying. Indian Ornamentals I had were always out and stunning. My favourite T. Chile Rose are hugely underated. Great behavioural changes. Loads of fun and the rose colour hair on its head looks great. Always on display.
I actually pretty much agreed with this list. Maybe not the G. pulchripes because mine just HIDES! Lolol. Hopefully once it's bigger I can see its beauty! My GBB is always a crowd pleaser. 😍😍😍 Nice job, as always! PS: My 4 year old didn't understand why you weren't saying hi back! 😂🤣😂🤣 "Mommy, why doesn't he say hi to Cae Cae? I love his spiders."
I totally agree with the gramastala Pulchripes and the Harpactira Pulchripes! They are super chill, always out on top of the web, and I also agree with the LP, its ALWAYS OUT, but shes SO MEAN!!😂
Got my first T about a week ago! I got a super beautiful curious C. Versicolor sling! I am so excited to watch it grow into those amazing colors!! I am dying to get a brazillian black.. I'm obsessed with the deep velvety black!
Amazing video ! You convinced me, I'm gonna get into the hobby and I think I'm gonna start with a Mexican red knee as my first T ! I also have an additional glass enclosure with more height than width, what easy T for beginners would you guys recommend me for that kind of enclosure ? :)
I would go for an Aphonopelma or Grammostola T...would be great since you're getting a Brachypelma genus already. Check out the Aphonopelma chalcodes or Grammostola pulchra or pulchripes
Poecilotheria Metallica 🖤 ITS SO AMAZING TO LOOK AT! 12:30 The tam and the blue go so well including the yellow rings, the sharp design on it abdomen, it's a healthy size too! Thanks for putting it in honorable mentions! Gooty Sapphire/Fringed Ornamental tarantula!
Awesome video man, I like the Ts you have on the list. Also, I just watched an older video that you'd posted, and I just found out you're from West Virginia. I live outside of Charleston, in a town called Sissonville lol. Just thought that was pretty cool lol.
Rock on....I know Sissonville ...driven through it a few times. I grew up in Huntington and have some family that still lives in Charleston. It is awesome to meet other people from WV that are into invertebrates!
@@tarantulacollective yeah really it is. They're actually few and far between around here, so there's literally no one to just sit an discuss them. Honestly, that's why I started my channel a few months back, was to talk about Inverts with people, and to showcase my scorpions, and not that I have the of them, my tarantulas.
I have found my communal group usually spend most of their time in their burrows during the day. They usually only roam only in the middle of the night.
Hey Richard, just wanted to say that I did get a Golden Blue-Legged Baboon this year as my first Old World in big part because of your videos and while mine was very shy when I first brought them home they have since acclimated and are out on display constantly and they are an INSANELY heavy webber. You could not have made a better recommendation
Personal favorite all around is the Grammostola Porteri! My Rosie was always out and about. Was so chill shes still the only T to this day i wouldnt think twice to let her out and even pet her a little. I even rubbed her fangs after she hardened from a molt. Keep in mind this was about 20 years ago when we didn't have all the great info you and other content makers/discords we can learn from! Also I like your choices Although I want a pink foot goliath for my #1 ;)
lol, i just got a GBB, i got a versi as a sling, my juvie salmon pink, and ive had my red knee for just over a year, this is my most favourite thing to watch, how they all change. Your videos just confirm my choices lol. thankyou
Chromatopelma was my first T along with B. Vagans. Later I got myself a Phormictopus Sp. Green Gold Carapace instead of P. Auratus. Golden spiders have this "something" that makes them interesting. As for Lasiodora - I prefer Klugi over Parahybana.
Yeah..you are right. I actually had it and the Nhandu mentioned as an honorable mention but ended up cutting it out bc I needed to make the video a little shorter. You're right though...it is definitely a great display t
@@medinavrnk lol...thanks....probably shouldn't be responding to comments while at work...but we are slow today..lol. and it still BLOWS my mind that people are watching these videos so far away!
rewatching all your viedos again just becaus your a legend! my p.met is ALWAYS out! unless its in premolt or molting, infact he/she is out more than any of the rest haha
I got a Grammostola Pulchra like a year ago (as Sling), he's like "f*ck you don't look at me!" everytime hiding... Hopefully it changes when he gets older.
Been subscribed to you for a while, and was going through some of your older stuff. You're doing great man, awesome T videos and great content, we can tell how much hard work you put into making them, keep it up!
Great video and I realize this is a opinion too 10. But I don't think I would have chosen your number 1. IMO I don't think the T. blondi is at all pretty. Yes it's has a huge size but for me colors are more impressive than size. My number 1 would probably be Aphonopelma mooreae.
Got me a phormictapus artrichromatus as my first t she’s been great! Likes to kick hairs if you startle her but she’s good as gold, never refuses a feed and she spends all her time out. Great starting place or a t too add for display.
i just started getting into arachnids and invertebrates and i never thought id want to own a tarantula until i saw your top 10 dwarf species video. now i might want a big one one day

Acanthoscurria geniculata! I love mine! She’s huge, always out, great feeding response and beautiful pattern. I think they would have been a good addition to the list
I love my little juvenile genic! I even named her black beauty!
Agreed mine is also like yours
I expected it to be on the list to be honest. It's a large, impressive species and mine is always out and about or doing something.
I agree. Also N.Chromatus
This is the best tarantula channel I know. You've put more effort with quality than any others I've seen.

Great first T's! Check out the Facebook group too!
Mabelle Mingote how is the salmon bird eater? I’m thinking of getting one also were did you get yours?
Picked up my very first T today, a 1” GBB. Thank you for all your awesome vids and the positivity you bring to the hobby.
A. geniculata and the OBT must be on this list.
Yes!!! The A.gen is one of the very best - never hides (here), huge body and fangs, and the markings on the legs

A. Geniculata should have had a spot for sure. Am I the only one that let's my spooders out for strolls outside of their enclosure?
Barbara van Eldijk Bouwens not to mention that they have a black hole for a stomach.
My OBT allways hides? Ive had several of them and still have 3 atm. No display specie
I am so happy that you said green bottle blue was number 2! I'm getting that little guy. So beautiful.
Now a top ten list "10 most beautyful T´s you never see"...
Great idea! I'm on it
Is it bc they either web heavy or are bulldozers?

So I try to buy the ones that are noted for NOT being pet holes. I don’t want people to think I’m some crazy guy who collects dirt. I love the Brachypelmas. Glad they made the list 😁 thanks Richard!
LoL...are you calling me crazy? I have a lot of enclosures that appear to just be dirt with a hole. .lol
Thank you! And thank you so much for watching!
I would've picked the A. geniculata as number one. I have never seen an A. genic of any size use a hide or make a burrow. Mine even molt right out in the open. It's the only species I can count on to be out and about to show off to visitors, and it's always down for a feeding performance, too. (I just wish I could clean their water bowls without getting attacked, haha.)
Unfortunately, my C. elegans is almost always in her burrow and doesn't like coming out. Same with my C. versicolor. :(
That is a bummer. I really missed the boat on the Acanthoscurria, mine are always out a lot. And I have SOOOOOOO much footage of them...really could've saved a lot of time shooting had I added them to the list. Lol
A geniculata are so gorgeous. It was the first species that my spouse fell in love with.
Mine burrows off and on. Kind of a pet rock tbh.
A. geniculata, as mentioned, might be one I'd pick over a grammastola, but that's a personal preference. They're both very revered in the hobby. I think pink zebra beauties would be an honorable mention as well. I knew T. Stirmi would take the cake at #1, once you really get a good look at them and a beautiful set up they almost look like they're covered in velvet or suede. It's breathtaking.
This footage is incredible. I’m sure the videos doesn’t beat seeing these creatures in person.
It’s probably better than in person, since we’d need magnifying glasses to see so much detail in person. But I’d like to see them in person because I want to hold some of the friendly ones. 😆
13:39 "THE NUMBER ONE DISPLAY TARAtextTULA" Also, thank you for putting dwarf species on the list. They are the best.
no problem...and yeah..that is what happens when you are editing video at 3am the day before the upload...you overlook little details...i can believe i didnt see that to delete it before i uploaded..lol
@@tarantulacollective I'm surprised I even noticed it. It's difficult to see.
@@JackAmnesiac my kid caught it right away and was sure to point it out to me...lol. He is my biggest critic. :)
You should do a complete collection show of your collection which seems to be epic and you are displaying them very nicely.
My number 1: Poecilotheria metallica
- Sapphire Ornamental
My number 2: Cyriopagopus sp. Hati Hati
- Purple Earth Tiger
Love the video!
You videos are so great your lighting audio and production in general is top notch!
Wow, thank you!
LoL
I don’t have any spiders but I am really enjoying your videos.
Another great vid as usual, my vote goes to my A Genic !
I dont have one yet. It's on the list for sure though lol
Love the music to this one lmao. Great content as always dude!
Rock on! Glad you enjoyed it.
I cant argue with your logic there...they are very cool.
Hahahahaha! Thanks my dude.
Notification squad assemble!!! Lmfao that opening was EPIC!!!
Awesome! Thanks dude!
watching here from philippines, Thank you for adding Phil. tangerine on your list. 😊
My pleasure!!
Nakaka proud diba 😊
Thank you Thank you Thank you....I have been waiting for this video!!!! Awesomeness!!!!
You're so welcome! Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome, thank you!
Great video as always bro. Killing these T Tuesday videos. It’s one of the highlights of my week. First thing I did after work today
@@tarantulacollective I never thought of looking at what people were asking on FB or Reddit. Could be a good way to get inspiration. Many thanks
Thanks!
I own 5 Ts, 3 of them are in ur list (pulchra, pulchripes and gbb) and next monday i get a T. stirmi so i god damn agree with u.
Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks a lot my dude! And congrats on the new t!
Lol. That's cool your pulchripes acts similarly!
im going to the pomona reptile super show in a 4 days and im so excited! im going there to get more t’s for my collection and this definitely helped. thank you!
That's so crazy I did exactly 15:17 that, when you announced #1.. you nailed it.
I love your videos
Both entertaining and informal
Plz keep uploading! XD
🤣🖤
awesome videos keep these coming!
What have you done to me, Richard, you Deadly Tarantula Girl, Petko, Kat, Tom Moran, Dan, Spiderman, Tarantula Haven yeah...I'm RuInT LOL I Love it
Love that the GBB took second place! It is my favorite of my collection!
I'm really surprised that you didn't put the gbb at number 1, I was totally expecting it because I know how much you love this species!
Both my sons favorites are on the list. He really wants a T and im working on my fear of spiders so he can get one your videos are great and i understand them better from you and it makes me a bit more comfortable with the idea of having a 6 in spider in my house
Nice guitars.. You should do a vid with background music of you playing them 🤘🤘🤘 loving the channel dude
Great top 10...I agree with this list my G. porteri and A. avicularia are my display tarantulas
anyone else think of LOTR with the new intro? No? just me? lol It's awesome!
I thought it had a very Harry Potter vibe
It was decidedly EPIC lol
I was thinking final fantasy 8
LOTR??
@@fern_gully lord of the rings!
Love the energy you give your videos! You should do a top 10 arboreal, terrestrial, and fossorial vids next..I want an a. chalcodes for my first ever t but cant decide on other species to have an arboreal and a fossorial variety
I love my theraposa stirmi!!!! She is verry awesome and my second tarantula I have ever had !
Great Vid! My fave T period is the C Elegans. And my follow up is my tiny sling that is so brave and out in the open already, B Albiceps. :)
Great work on the video . Love your content my friend. Great light set up as well
Hi Richard, I'm brand new to keeping tarantulas, I kind of followed my wife into the hobby as my preference had been for snakes, with a particular love of Royal Pythons.
I have a baby golden knee who's never dug a burrow once 🤔
My fireleg was my first T.
I feel like the Venezuelan Sun Tiger should have been on this list. Or maybe just as an honorable mention. They're absolutely stunning in my opinion.
I actually pretty much agreed with this list. Maybe not the G. pulchripes because mine just HIDES! Lolol. Hopefully once it's bigger I can see its beauty!
My GBB is always a crowd pleaser. 😍😍😍
Nice job, as always!
PS: My 4 year old didn't understand why you weren't saying hi back! 😂🤣😂🤣
"Mommy, why doesn't he say hi to Cae Cae? I love his spiders."
That's hillarious! Tell Cae Cae I said "hello"! I am sure your Chaco will be out a lot once it puts on some size!
I totally agree with the gramastala Pulchripes and the Harpactira Pulchripes! They are super chill, always out on top of the web, and I also agree with the LP, its ALWAYS OUT, but shes SO MEAN!!😂
My P Canceredes is out of its burrow most of the time and that thing never stops eating,it's just a sling though.
Got my first T about a week ago! I got a super beautiful curious C. Versicolor sling! I am so excited to watch it grow into those amazing colors!!
I am dying to get a brazillian black.. I'm obsessed with the deep velvety black!
I just got a Lasiodora parahybana sling yesterday!!! I got a GBB at repticon a couple of weeks ago too... xoxo I love them so much
I just found this channel a few days ago. I love it!
Great content and editing.
thanks!
This explains my Arizona and pink toe are always out and they have corks and all kind of hiding places Cuban bronze i is super cool 😎
Honestly, that's why I started my channel a few months back, was to talk about Inverts with people, and to showcase my scorpions, and not that I have the of them, my tarantulas.
from the philippines here!!! balfouri looks good too but i dont know if it likes being on display
I have found my communal group usually spend most of their time in their burrows during the day. They usually only roam only in the middle of the night.
@@gaiafaust8136 they roam around my house every night
Hey Richard, just wanted to say that I did get a Golden Blue-Legged Baboon this year as my first Old World in big part because of your videos and while mine was very shy when I first brought them home they have since acclimated and are out on display constantly and they are an INSANELY heavy webber. You could not have made a better recommendation
I love that you do bioactive enclosures! Even my slings get a bioactive. Never cared much for deli cups.
Rock on..that's very cool!
Your videos just confirm my choices lol. thankyou
Awesome video.. im from the philippines.. also a member of your facebook group.. Hello to you!
Hello!
Kamusta!
Cant stop watching your vids 😍 but the geni should really be on this list!
Yeah..you are right. I actually had it and the Nhandu mentioned as an honorable mention but ended up cutting it out bc I needed to make the video a little shorter. You're right though...it is definitely a great display t

Nice choice!
Beautifully done. Thank you. I have really learned a lot from you.
