My spoiled GBB is only about 1.5" and she's already made some really cool web palaces. I love her to bitses. Can't play favorites, but... she's my favorite.

I keep meaning to say this and forgetting, but goddamn your music taste is amazing. I would listen to the Tarantula Collective Spotify playlist, just sayin. I don't have any Ts, but your videos made me love them beyond just being morbidly fascinated, and you've also made the Caribena versicolor my absolute favourite. (also that T seladonia, wowwww)
I am absolutely terrified of spiders. That being said, I have actually looked into acquiring a Brazilian Jewel. It's so beautiful that I have zero fear and anxiety surrounding it. To be able to have one and witness the absolute beauty that is this spider would be an honor to have in my home to be able to witness.
I love my caribena versicolor and chrometopelma cyanopubecens! Two of my first three t’s, and all have such great personalities. I got them as slings last November, the growth has been a gift to witness! Thank you for such quality content 🙏🙏
Absolutely in love with my c. versicolor. My first t and the first rehousing I learned the hard way he was VERY eager to climb something, and my arm was the perfect candidate. He's been very chill though, tolerant of me being in his space when needed and the colors are so lovely. I hope yours is still doing good!
I have a particular fondness for avicularia purpurea and I feel they’re very underrated Ts who get overshadowed by the versicolor a lot. But their purples can be so deep and beautiful! And maybe I’m biased because it was my first T and I unfortunately lost mine at a young age and never got to see his adult colors. But you just can’t beat that gorgeous, deep purple, especially when they catch the light!
Glad i could help with the footage dude thats an amazing list!! Im still dying to get a T.panama in my collection. Hopefully i will find oe at shows later this year if they go ahead 🤟🏻🤟🏻
I have half of these and want the other half. I love sharing photos of my colorful tarantulas because my non spider loving friends get interested in spiders seeing all the crazy colors they can be. Definitely little living jewels
You're definitely my most favorite tarantula UA-camr, I absolutely love the way you organize your videos as well as your explanations for each species, despite whether they're the most favorite of yours or not, you explain everything necessarily no matter if it's the pros or cons, and that's what's most important especially with animals, pros to take advantage of, AND cons to keep in mind with every genus and/or specific specimens that would make them more difficult to deal with. But the point is overall, you've taught us all a lot of things about these awesome creatures and what's best for them, we appreciate it a LOT.
I've been watching Tarantula Videos for years now, and I never knew until now that were SO many differently colored Tarantulas until I watched this and some of your other videos! Nice work! Had no idea Tarantulas could be so colorful!
Great vid man, just here to add the way you popped up out of nowhere from below on number 4 was hilarious. I dunno why but I laughed my ass off haha Helen was looking at me like wtf are you on lol
#11 Neoholothele incei sp. Olive. The gold starburst design on the black carapace and the gold bumblebee stripes on the abdomen are stunning! There is also a gold form but everyone has made a video on those.
Personally I can't own new worlds not because their not beautiful but because I just don't want to deal with urticating hairs so when I bought my first Tarantula I took to heart what you said about Tarantulas "how would you feel about someone ripping the roof of your house off and throwing cheeseburgers at you" I should clarify that the main reason I don't get newworlds is that I used to have asthma so lung problems are something I'd rather avoid at all costs. That's why I love old world Tarantulas and like you (Richard) said respect these animals. Sorry for rambling on and for making it seem like I don't like new worlds I do again sorry for rambling.
Im gonna go for the T.Seladonia (no idea if i spelt that correctly lol!) as number 1. I will never forget seeing 1 for the 1st time, it's beauty is astounding. Im a total newb in the hobby, but 1 day i will have 1 (or 10!) In my collection!🤣 Great video & incredible T's. ❤🏴
In my top ten I’d definitely add the Pamphobeteus ultramarinus or solaris (or really any Pampho for that matter) as well as a Xenesthis. Can’t forget about the Haploclastus devamatha and the Chilobrachys sp electric blue either!
We have a gooty sapphire , it does hide alot but is amazing seeing it out, super quick!!! Pretty easy to care for, atleast for us... im definitely gonna have to add some of this list to our fam...
3:09 a very nice blue colored spider. I was looking for a more lighter shade of blue since a lot of them in these vids tend to lean more to cobalt or dark blue or midnight blue colors. 4:43 Oh man, I wished it'd have stayed blue. It was so pretty, too! 5:53 This would be perfect for Alex. 7:22 The Green Bottle Blue spider. I'm doing research about spiders and I thinks this one is the closest to what I need. 9:08 this spider and the spider before it are similar to the Green Bottle Blue but this one is bigger and rarer, hmmmm.. 10:11 it's small, light blue and white and pink and black, perfect for Mari.
Thank you so much for your content and channel, you easily just became my go to Tarantula guy. I just got my first Antilles Pink Toe gifted to me from a guy that works at the local exotic pet store. I’m so excited! I am raising 5 jumping spider slings as well and now have a sling T! Named Navi, like from the Legend of Zelda, and Avatar! I have recently realized spiders are familiars, I just laughed when you said reclusive because I am also “reclusive”. Hopeful this one is female and I think it is intuitively but we’ll find out when molt happens. 💕🙏🏼🕷🕸💕
Great colorful tarantulas .My Son and I are new to hobby . This month and have 10 slings. Green bottle blue being one. I picked Brachypelma boehmei as my 1st pick as a sling . He only picked one old world to start with Heteroscora maculata . My son takes care of them an loves to watch them . Great fans of your videos both of us.

i had a chile rose that was a deep metallic pink with almost black highlights.. just stunning, even more so in sunlight, chiles are often dismissed as just plain basic ts but should really be given a closer, and appreciative, look
Hey bud can you make a video about the Brazilian black and white T please? I’m a beginner and I just got one of these slings at an expo from the tie dyed tarantula and would like to know more about it and how to properly care for it if possible. Thanks man!!!

I’m sure you probably did you’re research but make sure that they have PLENTY of cross ventilation. A. purpurea was one of the first t’s that I got and it ended up passing away on me from lack of ventilation. Avicularia’s and versicolors need a lot of ventilation to survive. Just letting you know because I’d hate to see someone else make the same mistake I did! Good luck!
Great video Richard. I'm a huge fan. Gbb and seladonia are my favorites hands down. They just check a lot of boxes for me. Pulchra and pentaloris are my runners up. Some day I'll get that Darth Maul T.
My girlfriend is new to tarantulas and was wondering if you could do a video on the Amazon Sapphire Pinktoe. We haven’t seen it on any videos yet and it’s an awesome little dude!

Can you make a list of Ts that are famous for their white/blond color or marking like H. maculata, P. regalis or N. chromatus for example? I have never seen anyone make it before.
I'm still just getting into the hobby, so all of these look amazing to me! So many to think of and I still haven't even gotten one. Though the first slot is reserved for the Lasiodora Parahybana. Not sure why I love them so much, but I can't wait. (Question: was 6:40 an editing mistake or did that one have to do with the GBB? It looked like one of the others you mentioned earlier, the Theraphosinae sp. Panama)
@@JayTee95 Why? Ok, they have the rep to be aggro and such. But either Hatty didn't hear about that, or I was just lucky. I had WAY, WAY, more problems with my second T, which was a Theraphosa blondi. I named her Bi..hie, because she is still acting like a b..ch sometimes
@@al34traz41 ok, thanks, I'm trying get a general opinion because some people say they're terrible, some people say they're fine if you respect them. I've been dealing with brown recluse spiders since I was a kid since they're always in my basement, and never had a problem.
@@JayTee95 my experience with real spiders is that they're way easier to handle than a T. Don't know why it is, but Ts can have their own personality. If you know how to handle a recluse, you can literally handle every recluse on this planet. But Ts on the other hand, they're different. Like the P. Metallica for example. I also heard from some keepers in the hobby, that their Metallica is skittish as f..k, but mine is the most docile T I ever saw. I can even handle it without problems. She never gave me a thread posture or showed any fear nor aggression
I was sad the psychedelic earth tiger didnt make the list. I do keep buying obts cause out of all the color that orange stands out on my shelf at night
How often do you feed your baby tarantulas?......and do you ever go of the size of their butt to determine if they need to be feed or not? Thanks for all the help
There has been no official word or updates since I last made a video on that topic. As soon as there is an official announcement or court ruling, I will make an update video.
Hey I know that my question literally has nothing to do with your video and I'm sorry I just don't know what else to do! So I was picking some old crickets out of my versi slings enclosure and as I was shutting the lid it bolted and got it's legs stuck in the door 😭😭 one of her legs popped off and another one of her legs is still attached to her body but I don't seem like she's moving it. It's like she's just dragging it. I'm so upset and scares for my versi sling. I know they can regrow limbs when they molt but what should I do about them limb that's not moving? And what can I do to keep her alive until her next molt? Again I'm sorry I had no one to turn to.
Hey I'll get my first Tarantula and Scorpion next week and you are definitely a big part why I feel comfortable and knowledgeable enough to keep them as pets. I'll get a Aphonopelma Seemanni (Zebra Tarantula) and a Heterometrus Laoticus (Laos Skorpion) :) Love your content, keep it up ❤

I want that Pumpkins tshirt!
Loved the video and even more so that I have your top 3 as slings 🙂😊
In my opinion, the Avicularia Metalica or whatever they call it now is one of the most beautiful tarantulas!
Are you still doing the tarantula of the month posters? I got the H pulchripes in April and have been excited to see what the next one will be.
Thanks for reminding me! I will get the poster for May up this evening.
What do you think, should I do the Dolichothele diamantinensis or Chilobrachys sp Electric Blue?
@@tarantulacollective diamantinensis
i would really like a Caribena Versicolor but im pretty new to tarantulas
How often do you feed your baby tarantulas?......and do you ever go of the size of their butt to determine if they need to be feed or not? Thanks for all the help
Oooh I just got my lava tarantula too 🕷️🌋
Which leaves T. seladonia at the top of my wishlist again 😮
So what is the current situation with the T.seladonia?
There has been no official word or updates since I last made a video on that topic. As soon as there is an official announcement or court ruling, I will make an update video.
Totally off topic here, but you have the best collection of tees.. 👌🏻
Right now my collection consists of
Pterinopelma sazimai
Caribena versicolor
Aphonopelma bicoloratum
Aphonopelma anax
Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens
Hey I'll get my first Tarantula and Scorpion next week and you are definitely a big part why I feel comfortable and knowledgeable enough to keep them as pets. I'll get a Aphonopelma Seemanni (Zebra Tarantula) and a Heterometrus Laoticus (Laos Skorpion) :)
Love your content, keep it up ❤
Being in Ireland all those are legal to own but can be difficult to get depending on time of the year especially during the colder months.
