- We are pleased to share Tony's interview with 2015 World Champion and 'The Empress of Figure Skating' Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. She shares the reasons why she think she's been so successful this season, discusses her long-time relationship with Alexei Mishin, why the triple Axel has come back this season, and whether she is planning a second in her free skate. Thank you so much for the interview! Tuktamyesheva is my favorite ladies skater this season. I just think she is so cool. Please let put a link of her UA-cam video once she uploads it. I hope there will be more interviews in the future!
I really love her short program last year! She did a shimmy right on the music in the footwork sequence! It was PERFECTION! That was my favorite moment of the entire season last year.
Elizaveta is awesome! Amazing job! Her Bolero program is also one of my favorites from her.

When she took off her jacket during the gala/exhibition performance at Skate Canada, I think she probably gave Doug Haw (the guy who made the comment that she should lose 10 lbs) a heart attack due to her sexiness and fierceness. I’ve heard they’ve been trying to resuscitate him ever since. Wigs were snatched and male critics dispatched!
Her English is very good! 🙂 I wish the US education system would require a foreign language before graduation. My high school only offered a couple years of Spanish with a very crappy teacher. ☹️ I think it's super cool that so many European countries require students to learn a foreign language, and most of them start learning English in elementary school.
Virtually every school district in America has a two-year foreign language requirement to graduate high school. Looks like you're a terrible student or you didn't do enough to retain what you've learned instead.
At my school in the south we offer German Spanish French and Latin
