  • Tony talks to reigning World Champion Kaetlyn Osmond of Canada. In part one of our interview, Kaetlyn speaks about her beginnings as a skater, her short-lived junior career, her rise to the top nationally and being able to compete at 2013 Worlds in her home country, competing in her first Olympics in 2014, and then the injuries that hampered her throughout the next several seasons before winning the silver medal at the 2017 World Championships. I really hope she decided to return, the ice does feel empty without her

She's so unassuming. So direct. Really enjoyed it.

OMG THANK YEWWWW I LOVEEEE THIS WOMAN and I feel like she’s not that chatty in media interviews. If she (and/or Ashley) don’t come back I honestly don’t see myself being very interested in Ladies in the upcoming seasons. I’m 3 months post-op from a broken ankle and I think of her often and how she was able to boomerang out of her potentially career-ending injury.
Her 2013-14 SP is still one of my favorites... I actually just watched Rich Man’s Frug and hadn’t realized that Lance had really, really choreo’d her to do as much Fosse as possible... And she slayed it.
Oh and Akiko is one of my all-time faves as well. And Kaetlyn, of course.
Please come back! You have so much more to do on the ice!

Two FSs I see for her:
    - Carousel Waltz... Effervescent, joyful, like her
    - Gypsy Song... I know she did Carmen back in 2012-13, but NO ONEEE skates to Gypsy Song and it’s the best, sassiest, most exciting bit IMO (e.g., in Katarina’s “Carmen on Ice”)
