I love how they are “concerned”about you- you should get help…smear you all over then say they love you! And are wanting to help you!! 😂😂😂 if you are drained and exhausted with them around/ that’s KEY! Also they RUIN absolutely everything- any type of joy you can have they will be sure to ruin it! They need constant attention, constant care - they take EVERYTHING personal

Omg…you just described my husband and my mothers! Many years after divorcing my husband, I “wondered how I fell into marrying someone so self centered”. Lolol but also sad: I realized that I grew up with a narcissistic mother BIG TIME. My father passed 18 Yrs ago, my mother passed one year ago.
A few years ago my eyes finally opened up…at age 65! With my mother’s passing, I’m finally free of both of those toxic influences in my life. Now, time to heal!

Yes. My nex and his kids were "concerned" about me. They all lined up on the couch one day to say exactly that. I "needed help". I cried all the time. I remember saying that everyone should matter. Including me. He used to say that the relationship wasn't all about me. He was right. It wasn't about me at all. Only him. The "help" I needed was to get away from them. I've been all smiles since.

The ex a covert narc always needs to be the center of attraction as he thinks he’s the cats meow; he’s playing the victim always even now; he’s a con artist; he doesn’t help anyone except himself; he con’s everyone by ACTING nice etc . Again a con artist; per his victim stories EVERYONE has done HIM wrong therefore he’s the victim but he victimized everyone in his life; he does think he more important than everyone. He’s not at all. SMH!

Happy New Year to you and your family and I appreciated the reminder of what to look out for in regard to narcissistic people!
I also want to mention that eyes can be a sign as well, especially when they have the looks that could kill, as the saying goes, or another look I encountered when I made a mistake by smiling at a man sitting near a rubbish bin at a cafe recently.
He returned the next night and sat not far from me to eat his food. He turned around to look a few times, then suddenly appeared in front of me while I was using my phone.
He said "hello" and asked if he could say "hello," which he'd already done, yet obviously wanted to sit down. I said "no" and he looked devastated when he was going down the escalator.
I KNOW that I did the right thing for my protection though, because I SAW that LOOK in his eyes, which I've seen with dangerous people in the past. 👁👁

Spot on! When you talked about the restaurant example, I realized my ex-MIL had been showing her colors back before it became blatantly obvious. I recall being at a restaurant with my husband's family and she was brushing pieces of food off the table and onto the floor after she had dropped them while eating, which caused her husband to glare at her and ask her what she was doing. Her response: "What?! THEY'LL clean it up!", while scoffing in the direction of the waitstaff. It was absolutely disgusting and embarrassing.

The couple of narcissists I’ve dealt with sadly in my life ,neither of them could understand analogies or parables. I thought that was strange. The other odd thing was they simply could not watch Faulty Towers with John Cleese both of them had to actually leave the room when the show was on, another weird observation. Think about it it’s like a horror show for them, watching Basil being outed for his strange behaviour and lies.😂😂😂😂 one was a covert and one an overt narcissist.

Omg. You are literally speaking for me or at me. I am finally walking away from the woman I've been a toxic relationship with a Leo woman for 8 long long years. She broke up with me again on the 23rd of December. I was trying with an Aries woman and we tried but she was the one bread crumbling me. I was in love with the Aries woman at first site but still was in a relationship with the Leo woman. I think I can write a book of my roller-coaster relationship with the Leo. 8 years together, she has never met my kids but I have met all her whole family from Louisiana to here. I thought the Aries woman was my SOULMATE/twinflame but all along it was the Leo woman. Every time we broke up, I would meet another woman and then I mess it up with that woman. Leo is my SOULMATE/TWINFLAME but I didn't see it. Now I do. With that being said, this will be the hardest thing I will ever or need todo - let her go. It's crazy bc I always wanted to leave her but I couldn't and when she would reach out again, she reels me in again. Now I get it. Wow. It took 8 long long years to realize this. She's been my crutch. It's crazy to realize and look back how much further I would be in life. I was in denial. Wow. I have to cut the bond before I go crazy. I pray every morning to protect my loved ones and help me be strong. I realized my worth and she doesn't like it bc now, I speak my mind. Thank you for this reading from the bottom of my heart. Blessings. Blessings.
