Bring back the TRP in 10mm please
They look well made and very handsome but entering sti price range 2011 ds
It's nice. But when you're looking at a Girsan with at least most of those features for sub $500 I want to say WTF!
Is that TRP really 4x better!?!???
I don't want serrated top or polymer trigger. If I am going to accept the high maintenance of a 1911, I want the classic good looks of a 1911.
Need a 10mm variant
I had a ronin 10 mm it jammed like crazy I traded it off for rent I really like that gun it sucked it didn't work good it was really heavy which is good because you'd end up having to bash people's faces in with it it was expensive dead weight
I’ll just get a platypus 🤣
So it’s just another TRP in coyote brown? SO INNOVATIVE
He stated that a 4.25" barrel was "unheard-of" in their line. Commander size 1911s are nothing new in the gun world.
This guys use of “semi custom” for a $1900 gun after using the same term for a $900 gun is hilarious…somebody been drinking the koolaid
It, at least, kinda applies here. The Garrison 1911s are pretty much the standard modern 1911s. There's nothing "semi-custom" about them.
The only issue with the TRP is that Dan Wesson makes better 1911s at the same price point.
I'll be interested in seeing how much the street price drops after this launches. I can't imagine anyone interested enough in spending $2000 on a 1911 being dumb enough to buy one of these, when there are probably half a dozen better options for the same price or less.
@@theodorehunter4765 completely agree on there being many better true custom 1911’s for similar or slightly more $. Dude from Springfield is highly overestimating the value and quality of their product
Sounds like they want some of Dan Wesson's market.
2:19 James, run down the chick in black photo bombing your video! Interview her!
$2k for a single stack 1911 in .45acp!?? Probably a slick shooter and fudds will love it but, for carry? Why? Who does that under the age of 65 at this point. P365xl anyone?
Nobody carries a 1911 for carry use. Are you clueless?
PSA brought the most excitement for new products
Not really, considering 80% of the crap they show never gets built
The upgrades are night sights, slide serrations and G10 grips…..for $1900?!? These gun companies are out of control with what they think constitutes a massive price increase when “refreshing” an established model. Ridiculous.
They are high if they think that gun is a $1,900 gun.
Totally
Ridiculous
Price
TRP
Camera man saved this video, James almost got out of frame.
Pfffft Yeah let me just give Springfield over $2k for an 8 shot pistol.
James hates 1911’s and doesn’t like Springfield. 😂
Geeez, you all missed the MILF coming in at the 2:15 mark. Not sure if the fit is as good as a new model. But I'm sure it'll still feel and look good hanging on your hip. ;-)
If only they could say the Prodigy is a semi custom gun…..
That’s a lot of money for a 1911 that’s actually not doing anything new and doesn’t have an optics cut
I need the CC model. For those who think 1900 bucks is too much then if you think your life is only worth 700 bucks buy the cheap gun then.
Croatian imports the only thing keeping this company alive
True. Cz keeping colt brand alive
Bullshit. Best production 1911 out there. With a LIFE TIME WARRANTY
@@TheRealZJE313 the older TRPs 100% were. But the price point was 1200ish. I dunno if inflation has grown that much. Not to mention I doubt the quality is better. Only time will tell.
I’ll just keep my 12 year old DW, thanks
Oh, a new Springfield 1911 Trp 🙄Is this Shot Show 1998?
Hottie alert @2.20
I don’t see the love for 45. I carry 20 rds in my 19x. This makes way more sense.
2 different categories. You don't buy 1911 for carry use. They are amazing shooting pistols and fun to collect. Not remotely the same use case.
I was really hoping he would say a carry 10mm. I am sad. Lol
1911 is 45.
A $1200 gun at most. Mim internals, no optic cut, springfield is just increasing price and calling it semi custom. I can get a platypus 2011 with a direct milled optic cut and that takes glock mags for $1600.
