I doubt the "hand-select" claim of the frame and slide. The frames and slides nowadays are built oversized and are fitted with very tight tolerances which could work against the pistol's original design. Too tight a slide to frame fit might have reliability problems due to poor lubrication and if the pistol is dirty. A somewhat generous tolerance to the slide and frame fit is better. What matters most is the barrel fit. A sloppy barrel fit won't give you the desired accuracy. But wait. We are talking here of a combat pistol, not a bullseye pistol.
It's nice but. They should have used a one piece g.i. guide rod and an aluminum frame on the 4.25 model. Let's not forget that Dan wesson tcp is a 4" lightweight with a rail and forged parts for less money.
@DemocratsPartyofSatan well, as an LEO, I've seen parts sheer off because of MIM and I will not put my life at risk bybusimg them. Dan Wesson is a good one to check out, NO MIM and close to same price👍
@TheRealZJE313 doesn't need to "sink in" when I've seen them shear off safeties in the line of duty. I won't use them when life is on line. Check out Dan Wesson, close to same price w NO MIM parts👍
@@willraven7 I hear ya, but the TRP specifically was used in military situations, and in law enforcement …what gun hasn’t had an issue in law enforcement? I’m sure multiple Glocks have jammed that didn’t mean they are over all untrustworthy
Hear flashes Designs.. All they have to do more is revive all MIN parts. Then they'd have THE 1911 to own. No need to spend more for a1911 with options.. For a divalent"custom' him. They aren't LOL?!
It still gets the job done 112 Years later, and they are Freaking Cool!!! I have caught the sickness 30 times so far. 😂😎👍🇺🇸. I do own 12 Glocks, Sigs, HK, and 6 or 7 Beretta 92/96. My point… options are good to have, and the ability to hand out these pistols in case of a crisis/invasion etc. Is a good thing. Stay safe to all of you. Beretta Sr.
They would’ve been better of offering the prodigy in different calibers hell they gave the Echelon multi optics options and the price of the prodigy Aos plates are double the price now didn’t need a new pistol needed better options for the pistols you just came out with
It’s 2024, no optics cut? Fail. I saw somebody from Springfield called this a working man’s 1911, at $2000? Springfield missed the boat on this big time, completely toned, deaf and clueless as to options and price for such a pistol in 2024.
The frames at Springfield are outsourced and made in viva la meheco. 🇲🇽🌯🌮. Sorry but I’d rather bathe in gasoline and light a cigarette than support that freedom hatting company. Rock island makes a great 1911 for entry level guys and if you’re gonna spend a grand or more I’d recommend Ed brown or Wilson. Pilot mountain arms for a serious do all gun.
The Tisas is not bad, but they are not a Springfield Armory 1911! Not a Springfield Operator, or even a Springfield Garrison IMO. Buy what you want! Best to ya, Beretta Sr.
I’m all over this compact model
Looks like a nice piece. I love front checkering on the frame.
Wow, Springfield hit that one out of the park, what a sweet rig.
If they made a double stack TRP in 9mm it would probably sell better than the Prodigy.
Wouldn't doing that just turn it into a prodigy?
@@Austin-vg8kn No because the Prodigy has a polymer grip module. A TRP would have the metal frame. I'm thinking it would be similar to the Kimber KDS9
I wanna get a prodigy... just don't know about dropping the dough
Really appreciate SA catering to the non-rail consumer.
It is a solid 1911. 😎👍🇺🇸. B9USA Sr.
I would love to see a updated version of the full rail version!
I love it! A good price for what you get IMO. I own several $3000 to $4500 1911 pistols and the loaded Black Tactical TRP is a winner. 😎👍🇺🇸
B9USA Sr.
Wow good pistol
They finally got rid of the adjustable rear sight on the railed version.
It's still around except they brought back the full length railed dust cover version.
My 10mm TRP rattles like a box of parts. The fit and finish is closer to the 'Loaded' spec than "hand finished".
Are they still using MIM parts?
Are the internal parts forged or cast?
Hope they offer this in 9mm
Almost. For Almost 2k, I'd like to see a better finish and or ditch the MIM.
We want this in California. We want the Echelon also.
That will require pitchforks and torches.
This a frist Bobtail TRP for concealed carry hell yeah
Good choice.
Release date?
The TRP now just comes in a cardboard box. How do I get one with the FDE Pelican case? Or just the SA Pelican case?
Trp in 10mm!
Already exist
11mm is better
@@2GUNMASTERNot this time around.

Why did they not bring the full rall operator back
What about the MIM INTERNALS!!??
What about them?? The firearm is a proven platform and one of the BEST production 1911s out there
Keep coat down, keep costs down. Let that sink in

I wish Springfield didnt change their Font on the lettering.
Too bad it wasn’t a table top review, this was a commercial.
Cool pistol but I’d probably go with the Stealth Arms Platypus
Well this is a single stack 45. Platypus is a double stack 9mm, more comparable to the Prodidgy than it is the TRP
I’m sure it will have the same issues as the prodigy amd EMP
Why make a single stack 1911 anymore?

Why continue making Glock? Because people demand it same with the 1911! If you don't want a 1911 go buy a 2011 ( double stack 9mm)
I would love to see a version without 8 MIM parts and have an undercut trigger guard. 💩
Yes, especially for the close to $2k cost.
Sounds like you need to check out a Dan Wesson or a Wilson Combat 1911 m45a1guy.
I think you will find what you are looking for 😎👍🇺🇸🥶

The lack of an optic cut at this price point is hilarious.
It would have been nice if they offered the carry models in 9mm .
They tried that. Check out the EMP line, then check out the issues it has

Entirely too much $1100 at best
The Springfield Armory Operator, or Loaded Model will do nicely in that price range. Or a Used Dan Wesson.

Sorry sir I disagree my prodigy is running just fine for that price point
@@Jrob10mm That is great too!
I love the one I have. :)
7 rounds magazine is a joke. I can do with 8 rounds.
MIM parts at those prices and no optics cut and no 9mm? Jard pass.

So almost as good as a Tisas?

They are made by Tisas
Blah blah blah
8 rds
They need to stop playing and make them in 9mm
oh I thought they had it 9mm... oh well
Yes the women’s version is probably coming next.
I have a 9MM Springfield Armory Garrison & Emissary. They are both smooth operators for sure.
Beretta Sr. 😎👍🇺🇸🥶
Too much mim!!!
Ah yes another wayyyy over priced 1911. Tisas makes the exact same thing for $500
It's garbage, it's a fancy mil spec with a rail. Stay away from them.
