I'm a busy man, who can cook pretty well but rarely has time. Not sure why I thought these meals were already prepared. Still a great option for certain folks 👍🏿

Since the meals are pretty simple, the clean up is pretty simple too. It was less than 30 minutes (including clean up).
I suck at cooking and use Everyplate. When I had this recipe come in awhile back it took me close to an hour to make it. I'm slow as can be when prepping stuff and re-read the recipe way too much. It was damn tasty though. I'd say time depends on your skills. They do show a prep time and total time on the recipe card to give you an idea of how long it should take. I've also used Plated. While Everyplate doesn't have the options that Plated does, their prices more than make up for it IMO. It also got to the point that we were having lots of quality issues with Plated and were making calls to them about it almost weekly. They were prompt in providing partial refunds even if it was something small, like a spice packet, that was missing. I will give them that.
I've stuck with Everyplate and won't be going back to Plated.

I was glad to see it was real food. I was expecting packets of freeze dried chemicals
ll of the meal delivery service companies send you real food that you have to cook, so why would you assume that is is not real food?

I'd need more variety in the side veggies. So far, I've seen only carrots and zucchini on the non-premium meals. Dinnerly's superior in this regard.
Or, just walk your honker butt to the grocery store and buy your veggies
Okay but why are the raw meats right on top of the fresh produce? Are we really that uneducated on food safety?
They have changed that. They are now on the bottom of the box.
Why does that matter?
@@pmqtpqbtmz3956 Cross Contamination. If the meat package leaks it will overflow to whatever is at the bottom.

I have dietary restrictions. Can you request gluten free and no bell peppers / spicy stuff? I tried another of these services, and they kept sending bread, peppers and hot spices. I ended up giving 30% of the ingredients to my neighbor and canceled.
Unfortunately not with EveryPlate :/. But check out Green Chef if you have certain dietary restrictions.

I’m super excited to try them! I wasn’t thinking and ordered the 5 meals a week. Which wouldn’t be a huge deal except it’s just me. So I’ve skipped the next week since I’m sure I’ll have left overs. Can’t wait. My first box will be here on Saturday

Went to the website. Cant choose Plates until AFTER you've Paid..?? :-( Want to be sure they have VEGAN /Vegetarian options. Anyone know?
They don't have many vegan/vegetarian options :(. Green Chef and Sun Basket both have great options but they're a bit more expensive than EveryPlate.

Yep! This is the fourth meal plan I’ve seen that makes you pay first. I chose one (Splendid Spoon) that’s plant based. If it’s not good, I’ll cancel.

I’m always afraid of the food arriving spoiled. You are trusting the mail!
Many food boxes actually have a good reputation for refunding customers if the delivery driver messes up and food comes spoiled. We actually had an issue where our home chef box got delivered to the wrong address and then delivered to our home 3 days later. Home chef just sent us another box of meals.
I'm more concerned someone stealing it. We have some people with sticky fingers 😡
@@FoodBoxHQ but how do you know if it’s spoiled? It may arrive feeling semi cold but the food has bacteria and you get food poisoning... do many people have this happen with these services?
The quality of my first box was horrible! The zucchini had a rotten spot on it annd the carrots were brown. Insulation in packaging was horrible ice packs only on the bottom and were melted. Recipe cards were soaked. The only positive thing I can say is the company agreed to refund my money and cancel my subscription. Now let's see if the refund shows up on my card. The recipes are pretty much pasta, soup or bowl type meals that are super inexpensive to make anyway. NOT IMPRESSED
Would you consider these meals to be healthy?
I wouldn't classify them as a "healthy" meal kit (but they're definitely 1 of the the least expensive). Based on past meals we've received from them they have some healthy options though.
Food Box HQ Healthier than fast food though, right? I eat out all the time, and want an option that is at least healthier than that.

Real good job on the video. No offense. No very clean to touch your hair while cooking. I understand it’s your food but if you are cooking for others while touching your hair is not good because hair is very dirty. Again not meant to be offensive I work in the medical and know about germs and cross contamination.
