Hey Food Box HQ Friends! Today we're unboxing and reviewing Misfits Market. This is a produce delivery company that we've used for the past year. We decided to do an updated review because they've changed their service around a little to focus on some foods outside of just produce, such pantry essentials like olive oils, snacks, and even coffee.

I signed up and didn’t follow through with a purchase just to see they automatically took a payment for food… I’ve been trying to canceled the food, before it arrives and no one from the company has contacted me about this issue.. I tried taking my credit card off the site and it won’t allow me to do it!!
My Daughter loves to order from Misfit! She has been telling us to try it for a while now. So glad we found your channel for your review , great info Thank You! Just subscribed 👍

I started misfits and I like it so far cause usually when I buy groceries it cost me around $250 bucks depending on what I get. Getting groceries through misfits helps me find new things to try and helps me not go crazy as if I was at the store. Now I spend around $80-$150 bucks. I am disappointed with my last order cause they sent me a completely wrong box. It had nothing that I picked out. So not sure what happened there.
Don't subscribe to them, they won't let you cancel the subscription and won't refund you when you do cancel. It also won't let you remove your credit card. Their site is riddled with problems even though you do everything right.
Really?? I'm sorry to hear :/. We haven't had any of those problems. We've paused and canceled before with no issues.
@@FoodBoxHQ That's nice for you, but the public should be aware of their unethical business practices that's tons have fell victim to. You can find countless similar complaints on better business bureau and trust pilot.

That strawberry was beyond misfits... It had mold

Your box items are 100 times better than mine, I would just get a lot of sad looking, very small potatoes. I love the idea of this service, however.
I had Misfits Market for the past year and just cancelled. The "pick 4 of this group, 6 of that, and 2 of the last" was better for me. Given too much choices, I couldn't make decisions, and it was difficult to hit $30 as a person who lives alone and is not a vegetarian and eats some meals out each week.
One thing to keep in mind, some of the reasons that items are "misfits" are supply and demand, not that they're ugly in any sense. It's just overstock when some things are in season. Another reason is things might be smaller than sells well at a grocery store (I like this - I don't want 1 lb Russets!) or larger (not so good...what do you do with jicama the size of a child's head?).
I used misfits for like a year , great idea but they weren’t consistent, and I canceled the subscription
I saw another review that complained about the groceries looking good upon arrival but went bad within 2 days. In the end it wasn't much cheaper and when factoring in the extra packaging... actually seems worse for the environment.
The quality of food is out to site. Here, in Tampa Florida the food quality if far better than the local store.
I never would have been interested in something like this but we recently moved to Florida and the produce here is absolutely horrible. I would never have dreamt that in the sunshine state you can’t get decent veg. I was spoiled in Texas with HEB (The best grocer in North America, in my opinion).

Is the cost really 40% less than typical grocery store? For meats, pantry items?

I tried it, don’t like it. Poor quality produce, more expensive than the store and lots of packaging.
Nice quick and concise review. I'll try out the box and check out some of your other videos.
I do have to mention the camera moving/constantly readjusting focus is quite noticeable and annoying.
I just cancelled my subscription with them due to receiving unacceptable produce. That doesn't look like the full amount of produce for even the smallest box size. Your box was better packed than mine were.
Food Box HQ are you living in the USA? Just asking cause having tried Misfits, it bothers me that a company in the US is not supporting our American produce farmers, American meat farmers, nor our American fishing industry. What do you think? Plus also all my local grocery stores who do have local farm produce for most things now do delivery. Why not support local business?

@@cetriyasArtnComicsChannel Sorry but all I have seen online has not been for me (anyway) Now in season local are living/delicious/fresh- home garden & local grocery store way better. Why subscribe?>>> especially supporting countries other than our own???

It’s actually a local delivery company called CDL.
FedEx for me.
I had this subscription fot 1 hour, then canceled. They .do require a tip. I believe tips are a gift, not a requirement. Certainly not for a person doing their dayly job Tip are for the service industies such as bars, restaurants and hotels. Motels are not even inclused. Everyone wants to get on the tip bandwagon. A tip is EARNED, NEVER REQUIRED. If their employer wants to increase employee income, increase their wages. Not by demanding tips

While the concept is noble, I had to end my account with both Misfits and the newly acquired Imperfect Foods. Why? Imperfect and now Misfits through their warehouse has a VERY POOR track record in packing goods safely and properly. Why use insulated bags if the packers are TOO LAZY to seal them? Makes for food safety of perishable items questionable.
