I'm a single father of a 14 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. Their mother one day just up and walked out on all of us. After a 16 year relationship/marriage she met a new guy and quit us. My kids are my life. Everything I do is for my children. Their mother doesn't help financially or emotionally at all with the kids. I will never understand how a parent can just walk out on their kids. How you can bring a child into this world then abandoned them. I love being a father. I love my kids. Keep up the awesome work on your videos.

Just the exact reason why I never had kids. I never met a woman worthy of my seed, one I could trust or one I could trust to raise my kids properly, or drama free.

It is true. I was raised being told negative things about men. I feel that's the norm for how girls are raised. You hear things like "don't approach men" "if men approach you, run to an authority figure" "men try to hurt you" that wasn't only from by parents but also teachers and brownies/guides leaders. It's a fairly universal experience for young girls/women. I sincerely hope that those of us who grow up to learn that is wrong outbreed those who want to poison girls against boys. It's a very sad situation. I spend a lot of time contradicting my 15 year old step daughters mother (unintentionally) by warning her against people who behave a certain way and teaching her red flags, not men in general.

Hope you don't mind some fatherly advice. Work on yourself and a career if you choose. Look for a solid man with a good job who is at least 8-10 years older than you. Provide a tidy home, a warm meal, and good sex and if he doesn't treat you great move on. There are good men out there but you may have to kiss a few frogs to find your prince. Be realistic, the percentage of men 6' or taller, single, with a good job is very very low. Honestly look at your own looks and what else you have to provide and find a man that matches up i.e. don't date out of your league, you'll only wind up hurt. Pro tip, being more of a traditional woman adds beauty points for reasonable and worthwhile men. I am 53, every man I know prefers being treated well over good looks. Why? Because looks fade, who you are and how you treat others does not.

France is a welfare state, and if all the paternity fraud and misattributed paternity were to be exposed, so many men would turn so many women into single mothers overnight. I have to say that what she's saying is 100. As a child of divorce, my mom brainwashed us kids to thinking our dad was a deadbeat and abusive, but after we grew older we realized she was using us as a weapon towards him in court and my dad is way more supportive than my mom ever was. My mom, who was adamant about disowning us if we ever admitted to doing drugs or being gay, and actually did disown me for admitting a drug problem, was a terrible human. My dad however has always been understanding and never left any of his kids out to dry. He even went out of his way to have a relationship with a daughter he didn't know he had until she was already 17. Men are in general, way more emotionally mature and understanding when it comes to their children. Just from my own observations. And now my dad is my best friend and I haven't even talked to my mom in almost 6 years since I admitted I needed help with my addiction and she walked out and refused to acknowledge me at all.

Had a woman I slept with as a one night stand tried to claim she was pregnant.
Told me she wasn’t keeping the baby and she was going to put it up for adoption.
Told her I would be a single father before that happens.
Within a week, she had lawyers sending me paperwork to try to force me to sign away my rights of being a father.
Claimed I was being verbally abusive, and blah blah blah.
Got an attorney and told her what was happening.
At first, she was on guard, but willing to take the case.
Spoke to her for a while about me being excited for being a father.
Showed her the texts of us where the baby momma was telling me I was sperm donor, POS, amongst other shitty things.
Meanwhile I’m asking for us to be friends and being about as polite as possible.
Attorney sees what’s going on and asked for screen shots.
Attorney sends the screenshots to her lawyers.
    Her lawyers drop her.
She decides to keep the baby and threaten to take me for child support for the next 18 years.
Attorney warns me to not act on anything and let her handle it.
Wait till after the baby is born and got a DNA test.
Took 3 months for that, plus the 9 she was pregnant.
Shit was messing with my head for over a year.
    Finally get the results back....
“You are not the father” #MauryMoment
Learned my lesson and haven’t slept with another woman. Been 5 years, but worth being stress free from bullshit.
Next woman I sleep with, I fully intend on marrying.
And I get to keep my money, and work on myself in peace.
Could have sued her for all the money I spent. But she was broke, and tried to sell the baby to the adoptive parents. All I would have done was hurt the kid. And I’m a bigger man than that.

Men don't cry or show emotion in front of women because...
    1) we know it turns them off and they'll lose respect and attraction for us
    2) we know that she'll file that information away in her brain and will use it against us at some time in the future
    3) she'll definitely tell her friends about it in a disrespectful, unflattering way and they'll all laugh at our pain and make fun of us for being weak
    4) we're guilty from the day we're born of being toxic and being predatory. So we deserve to be in emotional turmoil. Women love to see a man broken and ground in to the dirt because every man deserves it.
    5) We know that nearly all women literally just don't care. They've been taught that men are nothing more than tools to be used when convenient and then tossed in the garbage. We aren't seen as human beings. It doesn't matter if we cease to exist because we can be replaced in seconds by just swiping right on another sub human male. And non humans don't have human feelings, now do they?
In short, sharing our feelings is never amgold thing. It will always end in punishment.

My boyfriend has a deadbeat mom. He and his siblings were mostly raised by her due to his dad working a lot. When he was 14 his mom plan a trip out of the blue and tried to convince him to come with her but he refused but took his little sister. When his dad came home he found out she left the family. His dad was left in debt and broke and was fighting for divorce for two years plus custody of his daughter. My boyfriend only saw her twice during the divorce and she only contacts him every few years and send an occasional present. She never paid child support for neither of her 3 kids and medical expenses for one of her kids that’s disabled and she doesn’t even mention about her disable son. My boyfriends dad has to deal with medical expenses and taking care of his disable son while she didn’t even help. My boyfriend hasn’t seen his mom since his parents divorce and he’s 28. He saw what his father went through with the divorce and his moms abandonment and he was really close to her.

And despite her being an unemployed alcoholic.
She got the house, which he has to pay for, and she got the kids.
And he was told he can't have the kids because he only has a two-bed apartment, which is because they already gave her the house, and the kids are too old to share a room, and because he works he won't be around to look after them properly.

For anyone who is wondering how men deal with emotion it's like this. We see our dads being stoic, think that's how we have to be so we hide the emotion until we have time do deal with it. We don't set it aside like it doesn't effect us, it does, we just hide it the best we can. And then if it is to much emotion for us to handle that's when we lash out because everyone expects us to have no emotions. We ain't unbreakable. We have our breaking point. We just try to hide it the best we can. Hope this helps

He changed his teachings from 'be unbreakable' to 'be unbreakable in front of your enemies, be vulnerable with family and friends.' 24 years later, it's a lesson that I've taken to heart.

Thank you so much for your videos. A lot of these clips remind me of things that I have been through. I have an ex that I was with for only a few months, but was extremely toxic. She was pregnant while we were together and claimed that the baby was mine. Only to find out she been unfaithful. She then switched saying the child isn't mine, not sure if she was telling the truth or just using that in attempt to get a reaction. She was physically abusive and that's where I finally said enough is enough ending the relationship. She threatened to assault any women that I date in the future for not giving her another chance, and literally admitted to stalking my house. Afterwards I still said that IF the child is mine I would do the right thing and be a responsible father, despite any differences that we had between eachother. Very quickly after the breakup I started to get harassed by her family implying that I was a deadbeat or a lowlife. The harassment was all over Facebook for the world to see. Eventually her new boyfriend that she had been with the entire time started harassing me as well as his family now. They made threats to jump me at any given opportunity. I finally got tired of the harassment and let them know if they tried that I would shoot them. (As self defense) My ex and her new boyfriend took it to the sheriff's department, got a protection order, and again painted me out to be crazy. To this day I still have no idea if the baby is mine. It's been something that I have struggled with knowing that an innocent child has been brought into that kind of life. I've always wanted to know the truth so I can be there for my potential daughter. But I have always been afraid of what repercussions could come with that both legally, emotionally, and even physically. As being someone who had abusive parents and was raised by my grandmother it breaks my heart to think that girl might live a similar life that I experienced. Only bright side to the story is that I found a very amazing girlfriend that is kind, caring, supportive and everything you want in a relationship. I hope one day I can figure a solution to this situation though.

She then decides she wants our house so has a CPO put on me and since my daughter was a witness to the entire morning this allegedly happens. She has her sister kidnap her, who was very high up in the IRS in Kansas and worked with BACA as a child liason helping CPS remove children professionally. My child was taken out of my mothers arms 650 miles away and I have been her main caretaker her whole life. In the mean time I am removed from my home, all vehicles taken away, guns taken, all so she could screw this guy in my bed. I thought I would nerver see my child again and me being a guy I was looked at by the county as a piece of shit. I just wanted her to get mental help and she still needs it. I had to file for divorce and my attorney had her sent back to ohio to testify later in the week for the CPO hearing and I had not seen my daughter in a week at that point. She testified against my wife and they serve me with a warrant and send my daughter back with my wife who punched her in the face for trestifying against her. I spent 5 days in jail with no criminal record because it was a holiday weekend. Her boyfriend touched my child and I eventually got her back and the day we were taking her to testify against the boyfriend she had our electricity cut. She could not even call her child on her 10th birthday!!! She deserted our child, house, and dogs in febuary while I still had a cpo but I had no choice but to come home and the cops were driving by here constantly until it eventually got dismissed in march and the following month all criminal charges dismissed for lack of evidence because I never hurt my wife. Yup! I had to grow up in a house with a very verbally aggressive mother! Me, my brother and two sisters. And my dad. She was always yelling at my dad and all of us kids. Nothing he ever did was good enough and it was pretty much the same for us kids. And if we did anything that to her was crossing the line she made him spank us with the belt. But as kids we hated him for doing it! And because of their relationship I thought for many years that that was all relationships! So anytime I started to feel strongly about a girl I was with I ended it right there! I tried to do it in the lea hurtful way but sometimes that made it worse. The only time she “supported” is was when it revolved around what she wanted. And I had to deal with all of this with mental disabilities. I will give two examples of what I had to deal with and one thing she said so much that it was almost a catchphrase for her!
Me and my dad were leaving Walmart one day and I found $20 on the ground. I picked it up and looked at him and I asked what I should do? He looked at me and said well what do you want to do? He gave me the two options and I chose to go to Lost and Found and turn it in. He praised me the whole ride home for being a good person. And because of that, I was excited to tell my mom about it when we got home. But after I told her the story, her exact words were “how can you be so stupid!?! Why didn’t you keep that?”
Next: now my mom wanted me to be a art teacher. That’s it nothing more nothing less. So when I got my first poem published, I was very excited about it. So when I told her about it, all she said was that it was a scam and that obviously I didn’t write anything good enough to be publishing anything real and that my skill is an art and that’s what I should stick my head into!
And last, her catchphrase. She loved to say “you know what!?! F this sh!t I’m leaving all of you. I’m not dealing with this abuse!” She said it so often and so much that I remember her saying it more than her ever saying I love you. And my brother and younger sister would be bowling out their eyes every time, including me. And it would go as far as her getting in her car while we’re on the ground crying for her not to leave. The last time she did it I said “fine. Go. Get the F out of here. We don’t need you anymore anyways!” Never again! Nowadays because I’m trying my hardest to find God again before I end it i forgave her! So now I get to here almost every week about “your brother and sisters never call me. They never want to see me and I never get to see my grandchildren. How dare they!” I wish I was making up some or even all of this. I wouldn’t be as F-ed up in the head if I was!

I met my girl and established my first full fledged relationship just 3 years ago. Within the first year we had the "future" talk and both agreed we dont want kids. We want to grind and hustle for ourselves and enjoy our time on this rock. I think this alone is one of the main reasons I can see myself spending my life with her. Not tide down by the constraints of constantly thinking about a child and instead planning our next investment toward our own prosperity in our lives. I have nothing against folks with children but I have definitely seen the stressful mindsets it puts people in and how much they have had to give up to raise a child. Nothing wrong with that at all. If you have a child its your responsibility to raise it and care for it. Not anyone elses.

Recently, she left at the end of last year pregnant with my second baby. If the span of a month going from the I love yous and future dreams to me living back home with my abusive mom because I have nowhere else to go. I do have much, I traded everything I worked for this girl and to support my family. In the end I got nothing from everyone. I'm only 24 but my life feels so fractured I'm pivoting between giving up or digging arm deep to become better out of spite.
I tried fighting for my kids, I've put myself in dept trying to fight. Ohio doesn't want fathers to have rights. But I'm done. I'm done lying to myself as a man and being used by everyone I loved. I told myself I would love this women as a promise to my kids. But I will not subject myself to being treated like I'm nothing in front of them. I had no choice but to leave. It hurts every fucking day being without my kids. I could go on forever why I still would fight for this women but not for this. And if ever the day she needs me ill be there to catch her. But I don't even want my kids or her to see what I'm doing now to even get by. I feel so lost, im angry at the world, I lost compassion for people, and every day I'm fighting myself trying not to run into on coming traffic. I just want my kids again more than anything. I want to be treated like I mattered for once in my miserable life. But I'm ok for now. I have a plan to make myself better, I have determination for my kids sake to not be what their mother thinks of me. Only so I can embrace them again as a man of value

There is a reason so many of the people in prison are from single mother homes just saying as some one who never met my father and had a drug addict for a mother i got lucky when family stepped in at 10 in 93' and went the other direction by joining the military after high school but that was 19 years ago and every thing has continued to shift in a bad direction since then as the number of single mothers raising children skyrocketed with no fault divorce and the system tying their own retirements to the amount of child support they award thus always giving the max to pad them in their old age cause they are doing it "For the children" after all

Screaming like that in a crowded store. Because she didn't get her way. Who does that? I'll tell ya. Children. Emotionally and intellectually incomplete people. There are PLENTY of women who are like that. Just never grew up and thinks that everything is about them. More often than not teaching THEIR daughters to act the same way.

"Men have the emotional capacity of a carrot"...
Ok, lol... I admit, I can go into "carrot-mode" on command. I can turn off the emotions, like flipping a switch (at least for a few hours). It's actually very handy, and is something I had to learn. It's not an innate property of men, and a lot of men can't do that. And there are plenty of women who can do this, and NO... It does not make you a "sociopath". It's simply a coping mechanism that develops through experience.
I'm a large, scary looking guy. If I show anger, or even annoyance, people get scared of me, even if I have no ill-intentions. In fact, women are so good at empathy and reflecting the emotions of others that to show our emotions can be a provocation in itself. I actually raise the pitch of my voice a full octave when speaking to women I don't know because many find my voice intimidating. I didn't even realize I was doing this until recently. But if I don't... it does not go well.
If I am hurt or sad, people don't make any effort to comfort me. None. We're talking absolute zero, lol. If they see I'm feeling that way, they don't even inquire as to what's wrong. They will actively avoid me. So at those times when I actually want to be near people, I have to suppress any outward appearance of those emotions. We men are simply not sympathetic creatures. That's just the reality of the situation 90% of the time. There are exceptions, especially with a spouse or close friend who knows you very well, but people in general will avoid you like the plague if you come off as sad. Just look at the "incel" guys. Their inability to suppress self-pity or depression makes them a pariah. They are universally rejected, and it becomes a feedback loop. Those are feelings you need to hide, deal with privately and alone. The only people who will help you charge $800 an hour, lol. But on the positive side, I have dealt with these emotions alone, and I've learned that I'm able to. I don't need other people's help, and I usually don't want it anyway. The lack of empathy from others, in a way, does help me keep my head out of my ass, so, I can live with it, lol. If I feel that way, I take a long hike out in the woods alone, or get in my car, put on some good music and just drive until it passes. That works.
We are paradoxically allowed to laugh. People don't get weird about us showing that emotion. Consequently, every guy favors himself a bit of a joker. The ones who claim they don't... are just joking, lol. We do tend to joke around more than women, in my experience. It often comes off as us not taking things seriously, like we're always making light of everything. But pay closer attention, anything else we are feeling, we embed in our jokes, because levity the one emotion we're allowed to outwardly express. We just sneak everything else in there too, lol. That's why our sense of humor is often a lot darker than most women care for. It's not a conscious thing that we do deliberately, but we do have an intuitive and subtle emotional language to humor that I don't see in most women. But if you actually make an effort to look for those signals, they become glaringly obvious. You see this a lot with Police, EMTs, Soldiers, Doctors etc who deal with death a lot... they develop a real sense of gallows humor to deal with it. Acknowledging the sheer horror of the situation isn't productive in the moment, so you channel it into a deeply inappropriate joke, lol. Guys do that with basically every emotion. This is not an alien concept to most people, but I think most women fail to see how ubiquitous and nuanced this is among men, so they disregard it. We don't have the same freedom of emotional expression, so we channel everything subtextually into humor. And it's less about our emotions being understood by the other party, more just an outlet and catharsis, so people can be forgiven for not noticing it. But just look for it and you'll see what I'm talking about.
But don't misunderstand. I'm content with the status quo. This system, as odd as it sounds, works for me. Not getting any sympathy also means I don't receive false sympathy. I always know exactly who my friends are, and consequently, there is a lot less drama in my life, lol. My friend is my friend. My enemy is my enemy. My boss is my boss. My neighbor is my neighbor. Everyone fits into a nice little box, the parameters of our relationship clearly defined. It's simple, clean and easy. Introducing a lot of emotional exchanges would just fuck all that up, lol. Four billion people don't behave this way because it's some sort of affliction. It works for us. Not perfectly, but there are some benefits.
Men and women have some differences in this sense. Whether they are physiological or sociological is immaterial. I actually find it a bit condescending that their inability to understand our emotions is written off as some sort of disability on our part. Their lack of awareness is amusing. But I don't resent women for this. What I really hear from them is that they don't understand, but are trying to, and that's a good thing. But they should maybe talk to us rather than forming their own conclusions and then trying to cherry-pick data to support their conclusions. That's a far more honest and productive approach. And I think they will realize this in time, if they have the capacity for objectivity. If they don't, then it doesn't really matter anyway.

Thank you for pointing this special feature of some women out! I was blissfully unaware of the extent of some women's conniving and fraud before marrying a woman I had known for many years, loved and adored, and had 2 kids with. I provided peace, love, and joy in paradise but that wasn't enough. She, for the entirety of our marriage, continually 'made plans to go out'. Eventually she became pregnant. While I knew it wasn't mine, and she eventually told me, I did not know that by law the baby was mine. I filed for divorce, and managed to avoid the financial responsibility. I also had DNA tests on our two kids and thankfully they are mine. But only then did I realize that women can and usually do have a roster, can be screwing 12 dudes at a time, and if she gets pregnant, and you're married to her, it's yours! Also, if a woman starts accusing you of doing things, ripping on you at every turn, then it's usually because she is doing you dirty. It's always those who squawk the loudest. Guys, if you're dating a woman and she says, "I'm pregnant", you can be nice and care for her during the pregnancy, but as soon as that baby comes out get a DNA test and don't sign the birth certificate until it's proven to be yours. It should be the law.

I was married for a year and a half, and we had a daughter together. She ended up cheating on me, and left, and tried to take my daughter from me. I didn't like the way she was being cared for, so I made the decision one weekend when my ex let me have her, that she wasn't going back to her mother. to make a long story short, she literally broke into my house and tried to take my daughter from me. But instead she went to jail for a few hours, got out, and a few days later, when I went to file an EPO on her, it turned out that she had filed one on me first, put a bunch of lies in it, and was granted temporary custody of my daughter. for two weeks, I wasn't allowed to see her or even ask anybody how she was doing. Luckily I hired an incredible attorney, and we went to the hearing, and her EPO on me was dismissed, the one I had on her turned into a DVO (Domestic Violence Order), and I was granted temporary sole custody of my daughter, and still have custody of her today.

I love this channel and what it stands for. It is so hard to watch these vids though. I was raised to say "mam" and "sir" and also treat people respectfully. In middle school I had female teachers getting upset with me and saying it was disrespectful to say "mam'. Also, apparently you cannot open doors for women or you are a sexist. I am also finding out that I am slightly autistic, not that I or most others realized this, but it explains so much about why I get overwhelmed so quickly. I force it down and deal with things anyway, but none of my teachers in school ever took a sec to calm me down when I got upset, and I didn't get angry like my kid does when he gets upset and overwhelmed. My kid is farther on the autistic scale but functional, but most of his school life his teachers always made him the problem. Wasn't till this last year when a new school we went to where the principal and his teacher and counselor sat down and talked to us about it. Nothing changed with my kid in how he deals with things, but these new teachers deal with him gently before there is an issue and can avoid him ever having an issue. He went from one of the worst behaving kids in the school to one of the best, just because of how the teachers handle him.

My ex leveraged her little girl against me for 3 years and would threaten to pull her from me at any time. She child was not mine but I had been in her life since she was 3 and just turned 7. We had a deeeep bond, I had started picking her up from elem school and makiung her afternoon snacks and helping her with homework. She had just gotten around to calling me ‘dad’. Having no children of my own it meant the world to me.
One day mom met a man through a ‘friend’ and almost immediately started vilifying me for the tiniest of things and seemingly comparing me to someone while gaslighting me that I was an ogre and she was a helpless victim. Coached her daughter to say that she was afraid of me and that I was a threat of some sort. Only learned that because the last thing the little girl said to me was ‘I’m not scared of you like mom tells me I am supposed to be.’
It ripped my heart when mom ghosted me after telling me she had moved on. I opened myself to her and raised her daughter. Now, still childless and empty. Unfortunately it is too late for me to have anything good in life so will just have to make do eating with my ipad as families notice me and stare at my loneliness. All so she could get some new D.
    She’s a good person, huh?

But everything changes. Right now, it's green and beautiful, the creek has native brook trout in it, and the freezer if full of venison and bear meat. Hard cider and mead, aging in barrels. Our turn to play came & after a set, I climbed down off the stage and one of these same women approaches me. “Hi, so…me and my friends wanted to let you know that you’re welcome to sit with us.” At the same damn booth I was denied BEFORE they realized I was playing! Unreal. I declined. SMH…unreal!

In 2002 I met my now ex-wife. I was a winemaker in the Santa Barbara County area. Got injured was on workers comp came back to town and met her. Went through Vocational Rehabilitation they had to retrain me for a new job I chose to be a computer programmer after passing the placement test in the top 2% in the nation. They handed me the book and said we don't have to pull a thing out of there take your pick you can do anything you want. When I told her this was probably going to limit our time once I start going to school she suggested I stay home with her child from her first marriage and we have more kids and I raise them. After thinking about it for a couple of weeks I told her if I do this it means I'm retiring and never going back to work. So she said I'm fully aware of that I would never ask you to go back to work once you do this. It was 15 years of her cheating on me emasculating me playing the victim of a man who refused to work never told anybody that she asked me to stay home never told her dad that she asked me to stay home. He constantly asked me when I was going to stop living off of his daughter I would tell him it's none of his business I have a job raising his grandkids and it was her idea. He refused to believe me and she refused to tell him the truth. The only time she ever told people the truth was when it served her purpose because they knew I was a stay-at-home dad and they appreciated it. Then she would play the hero as the breadwinner hula really appreciates me being home cuz I'm such a great husband and a great dad. She constantly praised me on Facebook. Then when my daughter reached a certain age I finally said I was done and she continuously lied about me and Court saying I refuse to work that I was never a stay-at-home dad I never cooked I never cleaned I never help the kids with their homework I never did laundry I never did anything except get high and play Playstation. It took one Facebook post for the judge to know the truth and thank God she saw through this woman's lies. I got full custody of my daughter as this deadbeat mom continuously refuse to pay me child support or alimony and I finally just walked away from it all so I could get away from her. The only way to deal with a malignant narcissist is to have no contact and I haven't talked to her in 5 years. My daughter finally got away from her just before her 18th birthday. She blames me for their horrible relationship but promised our daughter the first time she came to get her for visitation that she would never take her from me. My daughter said if you break that promise I'll never trust you again do you understand she said of course I would never do that and then she did it. My daughter said don't talk to me don't look at me leave me alone and she refused she had the court Grant her 50/50 visitation. My daughter said Dad please fight for me get custody of me so she can never make decisions for me. Thank God I was granted that because she had a voice in court. My only regret is that I didn't go to school get my certifications and then do what I did to make sure if everything fell apart I would be able to make great money.

As far as the key is concerned... a guy I know took a man's truck keys without his permission and landed up in jail for 5 months.
Not as crazy as these women in this situation but I lost my job and fell behind on child support. When I got a new job started paying again and extra to catch up on what I owed. During this time my son decided he didn't want to live with his mom anymore so we were working up the paperwork. He was old enough to choose. In the paperwork it said instead of her paying child support that the amount of money owed would be reduced by $10 a week till it was finished. She refused! She said it is not right for her to have to pay child support... even though she wasn't paying anything and only reducing the amount owed. she would not accept it so we would have to take it in front of a judge. She was the kind of woman who would get others to do her dirty work and unfortunately one of them decided to jump me because he was trying to help her by getting me to stop seeing my son. All I can say was it didn't go well for him and as soon as he got out of the hospital they put him in jail. I was thinking he didn't deserve that and that she was the one that deserve that. It was at a time when the courts thought that the child needed to be with the mother otherwise she would have never had custody in the first place.

When my mom and stepdad first got married his ex was trying to get custody of my stepsister, literally just to have something to hold over him. She didn't seem to actually care much for my sister anytime she'd come home from visiting her mom the bag of clothes she was sent with magically disappeared (was sold for drug money), she'd act like a baby (she was 4/5) because that was the only way her mom would pay attention to her, she even made her wear diapers. The guardian ad ledum was fighting for the mom to have custody even though she failed 3 drug tests (not just weed mind you), she had no job, and was living in a hotel with a sex offender. The guardian ad ledum also happened to be my ex's mom and the courts didn't see any bias in that. My mom and stepdad finally got custody and her mom hasn't seen her in like 6 years. She stayed with me for a week when she was like 9 and told me she calls my mom 'mom' because her real mom doesn't love her.

I'm not a father. but this video resonates with me because I've dated two women with children. I will say one of the two women never brought the children into it, which I appreciate. Although I cared for both women's children, one in particular stood out. Long story short I dated a girl who I will not name out of respect. She is a good mother and provider for her children. I will never deny this. But that child was used against me when we separated. I had grown very attached to him. We were living together and any time she decided to go out I was his care taker. I loved him. His father was not on the birth certificate. I stepped up and did my best to prove myself as a worthy guardian. I provided financially and among that I did all the cooking and cleaning. She only eventually got a job at amazon because of me. Things weren't great. She never instigated intimacy. There was always an excuse. I never pressured her. But it was frustrating. She only wanted to do anything 1 or 2 times a month. And even then it was lifeless. Skip forward a while. She's admitted to cheating on me not once but twice. One of those two I let go because she came clean right after. I did not know better. Things got worse. Fighting became regular and more intense. She had admitted to purposefully trying to push my buttons to get a rise. One day she left to her moms and never came back. she left me with all of her stuff in my small 1 bed house whom I shared with a roommate. she was not up for talking. she cheated twice and did not want to speak further on it. She threatened me with her aunt who worked at the DA's office. Even had her message me with threats when I told her to come get her shit or I would just leave it out side for her to pick up. Before I get side tracked, I did try to reason with her. I tried to understand. I told her that even after Everything that had happened I still wanted to make it work. Because I loved both her and her son. He was like my own. It didn't matter to her. She took Herself and her son away without explanation. I know there might be some raised eyebrows about this. Trust me I left out details. But it was for the sake of time and nothing else. She took everything I loved from me in an instant. It haunts me to this day. And the story even had a short continuation after that. This is just a message to the men out there caring for children who aren't yours. Be careful because she has the power to take that away at any second. No questions asked. We don't get a lot of support if any at all. I'm grateful for the Roma Army. only here do I feel like my voice matters.

Also I’ve been through the abuse from the dad part. I see things how they happen and it’s absolutely selfish of parents that want to do such things in front of kids. It’s uncalled for and sticks with you for life for real I know.

Was a single dad (mother of my daughter picked heroin and stripping over family) for 7years. Then I met my girlfriend (wife now) now she has two mother's (she got sober after I got married, she thought we'd stick around and wait for her I guess) now she keeps trying to get us to be a family again, but now she has 5 more sisters and one brother.

Dear Roma Army, most of the time I agree with the woman that really do make it hard on men. This subject about men's emotions has me lingering with questions that I would definitely like your opinion on. So the main question is, if I was in a 3 year very violent relationship very abusive, the devil is in the details on that. Now me and this man share 3 children. When I finally had an opportunity to seek shelter at a dv home I did take our children with me. Now within a month I reached back out to him for him to b a dad I would allow the girls to go stay he would keep them for periods of times like for a month at a time, and I try not to rock the boat bc I do want him to be a dad. But when it was my turn to have my daughters for the first time he didnt answer the phone all day I had to drive an hour away and ask him if I could take the girls and he told me NO. Like I wasn't their mother. I am a very good mom my babies are my life. With this being said, he is a huge fan of yours!! And your views are real, but I feel like he may be using your views to justify behavior. Recently he has been telling me I trapped him into a being a father, when I'm not like the girls that you show, I would prolly die from a heart attack if a man cooked a meal for me, and I have always provided for myself bc I do want that love and family life, but these woman out here that you call out are ruining it for the real ones that's left. What do I do? What's your view?
    Sincerely
    Kami

I have bipolar. For my teenage years and most of my 20s it was misdiagnosed as depression and anxiety, so it wasn't treated correctly.
I spiralled mentally, became a recluse, basically lost myself.
Due to the confusion of dealing with symptoms of hypersexuality since childhood, I developed an avoidance of relationships and physical intimacy.
I was scared of the intensity of my desires and impulses and so buried them.
This leads me to now, where I'm doing much better after diagnosis and correct treatment, I'm in my own rented place and by my standards it is clean and not a hoarder hell. I'm looking after myself a lot better than I was and now look borderline presentable a lot of the time 😅
However, I am still a virgin at 29 years old. I'm pretty anxious about dating for obvious reasons but I've adopted a rule that I will be uncomfortably honest and *upfront* about my laundry list of downsides (red flags?).
I.e. I dont work and live on support, hopefully not forever but certainly for the foreseeable future, as long as it takes to get there.
I have no experience in relationships or sex
I absolutely will not have children. I let them know that I'm childfree / antinatalist.
I will want my future SO to provide my required female permission to get a vasectomy.
I never want to pass on my illness. I also dont want to inflict my day to day instability on a child.
I hope that putting these "downsides" front and center on my dating profile, along with my many positive attributes, will scare off most of the psycho ladies, who will see that they won't be able to get anything out of me.

Three mo ths into us seeing each other he broke down about all the abuse he had been through and cried for hours. I let him cried, let him talk, i listened and held him. Told him its okay. Cry let it out.
We talk about everything even if we think it may hurt each other. We talk. He expresses himself and i feel privileged that he trust me enough to let me in.

I broke up with my controlling, immature and disturbed ex girlfreind a year ago and looking at this, she did the same things these women did. If I didn't cook her food rights she would cry and I would have to get her to drive me to the store to gete more. she came round to my house one night and spent the entire time saying she wants to go home, then after I help her pack her shit she wants to stay. she blamed all of this shit on her hormonal imbalances and then on the night we broke up came to my little cousin's birthday party and just sat like an angry baby for the whole night claiming she had a headache. sidenote: if you had a headache why did you come to a birthday party in the first place. Then, as if that wasn't enough, after lecturing me on the same problems ( all of which had something to do with periods or her IBS, because of course) over and over again, and after getting her mother to tell me to listen to her more, This nightmare actually said that I NEEDED |TO WORK ON MY COMMUNICATION. WHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT!!!!!. this was when I said screw it and broke up with her in the car after she dropped me and my family home back home. after all this she then tried to pleade her case to my mum and cries her eyes out and starts hugging her. seeing her drive off was worth it's emotional weight in gold. the neext morning, I felt lighter and had a celebritory fry up.

My wife and I married in our 30s. Of the many points we discussed and agreed upon prior to our wedding was that even if our marriage ended, we would NOT weaponize our children. We, as parents, completely understand that making babies means raising then to be secure, confident adults. Not pawns in some nasty revenge scheme.
21 years on, we are still married, and we are still horrified by the toxic divorced couples who would rather poison their kids' minds rather than be responsible parents.
Makes me sick to my stomach.

I'm a single father for the last 3 years. Caught my son's mother cheating on me. After being with her for 5 years and raising her daughter since she was 3 months old. Even though her mother did that, I'm still There for that little girl, and she calls me. Dad, when she sees me to this day.
    My son's mother got mad.
For the last year, I've been trying to get my kid back. Because she got pisaed off at me even though I got pictures and messages. Of her abusing my little one system is Completely screwed Learn from my mistakes. If you and her co-parent? Don't matter if it's years like me. If you know something's not right, don't take them back. only takes one time and u will hate yourself. That you never did. You know, eventually everything will work out, but.
Everybody got their breaking point. And you just hope that it works out before then.

There are some deadbeat moms who marry/date deadbeat dads. They all go drop their kids off at the mall and leave it up to employees and security to babysit them. Insane. Parents are insane today! A few years ago people were like “I don’t teach my kid no” I’m like oh thanks for raising a sociopath by never teaching them about boundaries! No is important! I grew up in foster care with ADHD and who knows what else and I was not screaming in public (at an age too old), running around restaurants, running behind counters/registers, walking into kitchens at restaurants, stealing blatantly at the mall, etc… No teaches kids that some things are very bad for them or their behavior has an effect on others. It’s crazy to not teach that. I think “free range parents” are also both deadbeat. Its a disgrace.

I worked at a skating rink in New Orleans. That was the most poppin skating rank that I have ever seen anywhere. New Orleans is 92% black and black people love doing some skating. On the weekends we did birthday parties and we could handle up to 20 of them a day. Please believe me when I tell you that there was not one single day I worked there that 1 party did not piss off another party over something completely trivial. And far too often it broke down into actual physical violence between adults in front of a room full of kids trying to have a birthday party. And more than half the time the trouble is caused by a mother who showed up halfway through the party because dad didn't want her there because she's a psycho.
The other times fight started it was usually over something like suspected theft or kids getting bullied.
But every single time it was a personal family issue that caused all the problems...... WITHOUT 1 SINGLE EXCEPTION it was the female, the mother that started the drama and the bullshit.

My ex took my 4 year old to another state so I had to hire a lawer and all the legal fees added up over 10k. She lied to me and told me she was just visiting for 3 weeks when this all started I didn't see him for 9 months but I filed right before 6 months. So been in and out of court over a year. I haven't truly started my life because all my checks goes to legal fees. But they reward her but if I did that I would be in jail. I'm struggling from this. And I have all the evidence from her lies. She is a straight narcissist! Now I have a new relationship I finally found the right one. And I have a child with. I can barely afford the things for my family until this is done. This is so wrong
