Should people be more upfront and direct about what they want when dating or hooking up?
A direct approach is very powerful. I definitely advocate trying this at least once in your lifetime. I used to do it all the time, as I found the honesty empowering. This technique is very simple, and yet many men find it so challenging that they often never try it. Here is an example of what you might say with a direct approach:
Pardon me, but I noticed you from across the (lounge, café, bookstore, etc) and had to risk total embarrassment to meet you. My name is _____”
Indirect Approaches
Within the heading of “indirect approaches”, there are really two different techniques to discuss. One is the “indirect opener” and the other is the “environmental/situational opener”. Let’s discuss the indirect opener first.
An indirect opener is where you engage a woman (or a group of women) in conversation by requesting “female input” on an issue or question that is currently in your life. When considering what topics to use, the following three are typically the best:

Being Direct sifts out the women who are actually down with what you are looking to do. No need to manipulate women it leads to problems. Don't be afraid of rejection.
I really like that direct approach that they believe was speed dating I honestly believe that is necessary. We as people enjoy emotional stimulation so much that we literally get depressed when we don’t have it we rather have that emotional stimulation that we find it weird to just talk like that so direct . When I was younger I preferred to take the indirect approach because I was considering everyone's feelings but my own. I grew up with a very direct family. I take the direct approach now that I'm older because I want people to be straight forward with me, and it gives me peace of mind to get whatever I'm feeling off of my chest then and there. I don't want my time wasted and I'm not trying to waste yours. A lot of people confuse saying things directly with being an asshole though. Being direct isn't meant to offend, it's meant to inform.

I have to disagree heavy a man having an indirect approach does not mean that he gets what he wants he's Off to the Races.
