S/O to Danny for being vulnerable. Girl, there are thousands of people that need to hear someone like you voice their struggles. That took a lot of courage and humility.

Oliver made valid points. Even “alpha” males can be passive aggressive when it comes to expressing their romantic feelings because it can make them appear/feel vulnerable (weak)

This is my first time in 16 years being single (going on 4 months)…my toxic trait was not knowing how to heal and be by myself! Very codependent on relationships to feel valid. However , because i vibrating low , i was attracting other low vibrations. I’m single & healing! I’ll jump back out when i finish the work that needs to be had on self! Great topic

That's good you identified it. Time to work towards interdependency to create a symbiosis in your future relationships. Where you are you and you both can depend on each other....where you yourself are not purely just a giver or just a taker(enabler) in the situation. Remember everybody needs to be able to depend on someone else especially the person you lay with. Don't go from codependency to extreme independence (I don't need a man for nothing) mindset. Good luck and God bless

I’ve Finally Taken A Step Back & Said: ‘There’s Something I’m Just NOT Getting Or Acknowledging When It Comes To Understanding Me…I’ve Completely Taken ‘’Dating & Sex’’ Off The Table Until I Learn Me!!! It Hurts Because I’ve Always Equated Sex To Love But I Now Know That It’s Not The Same Thing. 🙏🏾💯 I Hope This Makes Sense. 😩🤦🏾‍♀️

The beginning I agree with Oliver about a safe place. A man can feel a way about their significant other and want to voice an opinion with the best intentions in mind, but a woman might get offended and it lead to an argument. The whole point of a healthy relationship is both being open and able to talk about anything without anyone getting hurt or feel attacked knowing it’s not to hurt one another.

It's abusive to foster an environment where anyone, including a man, doesnt feel comfortable being honest and voicing their opinions. Women, whether unintentionally or purposefully, more often use the threat of emotional turmoil, arguments, or shame to stifle communication, while simultaneously bemoaning men's lack of emotional availability.

Very much agreed & how it should be & I'd love to be able to as I've often tried but finally realized I was in A Relationship with a Fuckn Narcissist & in such case there is no point as I've learned thru my research they are just demons out to destroy you after the love bombing stage and their claws are in it's a wrap as mine has definitely destroyed me Mentally, emotionally, financially, verbally etc. All the toxic points u made is him and dnt take accountability for shit damn man I use to be so strong independent and sure of myself smh i am now planning my exit

I’m definitely at the point where I’m self reflecting and doing shadow work to increase the chances of my next relationship being successful. I think when you get to the point that you are truly ready to take a relationship serious you get out of the habit of blaming the other person.

    Erin Literally answered Rico’s question.
    Rico: “ I know I have a problem..what’s next?”
Erin: “ go to a therapist, address the root of the issue…etc”
There can only be a “what’s next” if that individual WANTS change. Erin literally said it at the beginning of her statement.

  • @tsmith9713
    @tsmith9713 2 роки тому +14

It really does start with self reflection and checking/correcting your "undesirable behaviors". You also have to understand why you're "choosing" the same type of people to be in a relationship with. You seriously need to know who you are & what you want.

  • @jmar385

What kills me the most people act like relationship is calculus & chemistry! It’s just like a job. You hire the best candidate from that position by checking their background vs their resume interviewing & then how they perform on the job. If you don’t be consistently within the boundaries of the job. You get terminated! If you don’t follow the guidelines. You get terminated. Jobs don’t accept toxic behavior. You want have a job if you don’t accept the accountable of your mistakes & the responsibilities of the job.

It has affected everything in my life from my self esteem , to relationships ( not feeling pretty enough) and being treated like I’m not valuable. Being used for intimacy only from most men( especially the ones I liked) that I turned into a savage! Now that I’m in my mid 30s I want to settle down and change but I too don’t trust but I’m working on it girl u not alone. I understand you soo much more now. In order to stop the cycle of hurt and toxic relationship it starts with self and for both parties to be selfless.

I really pray Danny seeks therapy because there’s something DEEP going on there for her to feel that way to that extent. Also, we really REALLY have to get out of the mindset that just because someone is single that means they’re broken or toxic. Being single is NOT disease and we as humans have to stop looking at it like that. There are MILLIONS of ppl in this world who HAPPY and CONTENT being single. Many ppl don't realize certain behaviors are toxic bc they have always did it and never been called or held accountable or even taught how to hold themselves accountable. Then u have some who are aware of their toxic traits yet don't feel they need to change bc that who they are. Then you have ppl who don't have access to resources unaware of resources, some have cultural barriers to change. It can be a multitude of things. But once u are AWARE of your toxic traits , it is up to you to change!
I didn't realize I had several toxic traits until I went to therapy. While time I thought it was the guy s I dated while it might've been, it was me toooooo!

If you’re in several relationships and they end and all your exes are engaged and married, you have to look at the common denominator which is you. Get therapy and stop carrying baggage into the next relationship Hoping for something different. We need to let people own up to their choices, if you know that man or women is no good and you continue to deal with it, then accept what comes with the choices you made.

I appreciate Danny's honesty. My advice to her is too continue becoming the best version of DANNY and not someone else's version of who they think you should be. Therapy to some degree wouldn't be a bad idea but even with that don't get lost into external forces because the TRUE POWER of an individual lies WITHIN. That little positive voice that speaks to our inner being. Salute to Danny on this one!

Dani, you deserve love just like anybody else, I think you're just disappointed or scarred by it so the idea that you have created of your self (get that head get that bread, then leave) is not deserving of love...but youre true self is a 1000% deserving of love... like Rico said, start small, learn the 5 love languages, learn your own and pay attention to who can speak it.

Initially, the conversation was difficult to follow because of the over talking. Also, it appears to take the panel a moment to listen, absorb what other’s are saying before responding. Few good points I align with. 1. Erin’s acknowledge the importance of self-awareness. 2. Rico’s points out the critical steps to take after self awareness. (There’s no instant oatmeal). 3. Danny’s made a good observation about living in a toxic environment. (We can change our environment. It kinda of aligns with Rico’s point of being around good role models). Finally, I agree with Amanda’s compatibility. Being compatible with a partner who can make you better and you make them a better person.
In the end we all grow old and we want to share the journey of life with someone who we trust. There’s always going to be the excepts of people who want to stay single and childless but the majority of people prefer companionship. (Personal note: when I was younger, I volunteered in an elderly home. I learned that most of toxic issues have been around forever and if you don’t address and resolve most of them then you could end you living with too many regrets and alone as opposed to feeling rejoiced and connected)

Dani has a toxic mindset if she thinks that if you've reached late 20s to late 30s and unmarried. People have standards and know their worth and refuse to settle. Also, just because a person is married does not make them non toxic. In fact, i know so many people who are married that are cheating and miserable.

Rico would really benefit from allowing himself the space to process more. He seems like he grew up in a place where that time and space wasn't given to him. He also says similar stuff as Oliver but uses different words. Oliver says "safe space". Rico says "she don't listen". At the core, they're both saying that they need to be heard and valued.

This was probably the best episode y'all ever had. At least it was the most balanced one that I have watched. This was a real human experience, bottled up into a 54 minute episode.
This is gonna come out messed up. The reason Danny was able to feel she was in a safe space and share her actual truths was because of how toxic and unsafe that couch was. I don't believe she can be real anywhere toxicity is not. It is a sad paradox. Also, y'all really jumped the shark with the whole safe space deal. So much judgement. So, so much judgement. That picture on the wall with the rules is supposed to mean something, correct?
I am a firm believer that help is at its best when it comes from flawed and broken people who are trying to fix themselves. And that is what everyone on this couch was. If y'all are trying to change the world and make a difference, this level of honesty is the way to go.
Rico. Great job expressing both sides of yourself. You care too much and you had to learn to change yourself up to make yourself better. I feel you. Also, the truth mic drops continue to be priceless. Continue on your journey bro, and become even more open to other peoples ways of thinking.
Erin. Great job steering the convo to something meaningful and corralling the cats that are a coherent conversation. Whatever your man does, make sure you forgive him. Keep that man because if your relationship ever fails, you will never find a better relationship that what you have now with your current level of awareness. You gon find another dude and get divorced when things don't go your way. Its ok that you kinda know what your flaws are. And also that you worked on some of them. But your current mindset will really have you messed up in these streets if you really commit to dating again.
Jordy. Helping people and saving lives doesn't give you a pass to be an awful person. I hope you continue to grow into a better person. Because the person you are now is just some cheap wallpaper that reveals the ugliness underneath. Ugliness being your real self's mindset. Never forget that your helping people doesn't make you a better person. Continue working on yourself everyday. Also your points were 50 percent nonsense and 50 percent inspired.
Oliver. In the real world, feminine energy concepts don't translate when you apply them to women. All feminine energy concepts are meant to be used for victim blaming or as a toxic defense mechanism. People just reverse engineered them to be helpful sometimes incidentally. I know you be here out here dating. Accept what you have seen time and again. Being an evolved man isn't going to be enough for a worthwhile relationship. Drop your pride and learn some manosphere truths. A lot of it is nonsense, but in there you just may find the tools to make your outcomes match what you want them to be. Unless your outcome is a reasonable, logical woman. In which case, your current approach will only continue to bring you the failure you are dealing with at the moment.
Amanda? I'm not sure what if that's your name but you had the short black hair in the 1930's hairstyle. The background in writing explains a lot about your mindset and attitude towards growth. I hope you get closer to being a person who separates fantasy from reality. If you ever become that person, you just might find an amazing relationship where you give up a lot but get so much more in return.
Danny. I guess that relationship you were in didn't work out/ is going through some trouble. Don't let these other women lie to you. All those feelings you have inside are shared by almost every single woman on the planet. And they would rather die a painful death than actually admit this as a fact. I think if you take Rico's advice and go around women in "stable" relationships, what you will find is women who have accepted men for who they are, got over the resentment, and embraced the negativity that comes with a successful relationship. But honestly, I don't believe you are ever going to change. Because you don't want to, because its too hard, too much of a hassle, plus a bunch of other reasons you will make up. So I will give a real perspective. You don't have to hold yourself to your cultures ideas of marriage and children. You may never find happiness as a woman, but you can find contentment being the best version of yourself you can be. So embrace your toxicity, get a pet and enjoy yourself while you can. Then use that animal and whatever job you choose to have to fill in the gap of a successful relationship. This way is easy, and involves the least amount of work on your part. All you gotta do is ignore every woman that tells you how happy you could be in a relationship or with kids. And make sure you don't have a kid no matter what. Easy Peasy.
Everyone doesn't deserve love. But if you work on yourself, you can find a nice partner and a nice enough life. Or you know, don't work to become better. Just keep making the same mistakes and passing them on to the next generation. It's all on you.

Oliver says good points his only flaw is he’s not receptive to hearing others opinions prime example 24:32 he’s upset that another host views on what he says is different but Shout out to Dani for being so vulnerable with her trauma

So If I'm 30 and I'm still single, there's something wrong with me? How about you say I choose to be single and I'm not looking for one where most cases, the females are looking for a relationship. At the end of the day, the men make the decision on the relationship unless she backs out.

    Sign 2: ur associated/know Dani
Taking advice from superficial ppl like this is the only real sign you need. The hosts are delusional. The male and female hosts. 🤦🏾‍♂️

They keep changing the subjects and they don’t let each other speak when it gets heated. I really wanted to hear some of the points Jordy and some wanted to say. Rico is a great speaker but he redirects the whole conversation sometimes and some want to hear the actual question being answered. JS
