Many people have asked for help quitting smoking. Here is a link to some good information from the CDC: www.cdc.gov/tobacco/campaign/tips/quit-smoking/index.html
@@standforhumanitariancauses4756 These substances can damage brain cells, but that applies to everything you smoke. It is better not to use your lungs as a vacuum cleaner bag. You can never predict the consequences of damage, it remains Russian roulette. Everything you smoke or get drugs into your body is harmful. Many things are addictive and if you know that from others, don't do it yourself. But if you can't resist the temptation, remember, it's always unhealthy. There are also various types of alcohol, of which ethyl alcohol diluted is drinkable, but it also remains a poison and causes damage and nobody knows where that starts. The insidious thing is that you think you can handle it, because nobody is bothered when he is young. After that it is too late and that is usually much later. It's awful to watch someone die of lung cancer from smoking.
@@heinpereboom5521 I need a scientific explanation or elaboration regarding smoking Chrystal meth and lung cancer. And exclusively lung cancer and lung related issues. Not other types of cancers or other organs . I'm cognizant about the harmful affects of substance abuse on the body.
COLD TURKEY is the only way to quit smoking permanently...ask any ex-smoker, I was a 2-pack a day ex-smoker... I did take an un-sciantific census of many people who turned out to be ex-smokers and all the "quitters" did cold-turkey like I did... In 1989, I had an emergency that made me ask myself who would take care of my two daughters if i die..i was then a single dad in the military...I decided I'd quit my cigarette addiction that same night...the next day, I quit. Today June 2021 @ 72 i'm still clean... I wonder how many others out there quit Cold-Turkey?
Ah how good it is in some countries that smoking is no longer smoked at all in 💩albania💩 in the city where i live is smoked over and over and I do not understand once when you see what causes why you continue to smoke we humans are weird😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒!!!!!??????
I just recently lost my eldest brother to bone cancer. A couple years ago he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He went through the whole radiation and chemotherapy treatment and finally came through. Then the end of last year he was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. He didn’t have much time to fight it as he just got more and more ill. He was still fairly young at 63,.,,, but I know this whole thing came down to smoking non filtered cigarettes for over 50 years..... He was 10 years older than I, and I remember when I was young watching him cut off the filter and smoke the straight poisonings..... and thinking “that is so DISGUSTING “ I was so proud of him for quitting and trying to get healthy....... RIP Jeff ❤
My father smoked for 30 years starting from age 28. Now he is 74...has stage 4 lung cancer. It is in advanced stage. He's weak and fragile due to multiple chemo sessions. Smoking robbed his life. DON'T SMOKE! Edit: He died on 12 Oct, 21.
@@krishanupegu2282 Are you saying, “Life is too short to live so we shouldn't care about the bad effect of smoking and do whatever makes us happy ?” Or, “Life is too short to live, so we shouldn't smoke and avoid other bad habits to live a healthier life as long as we live”
@@randomchats5199 Oh. I'm not mad. I just couldn't understand what he actually meant and asked if I'm right. So I asked two things which he may have meant. Don't worry
It smells very nasty! It boggles my mind as to how there's a certain number of people who are so comfortable burning all of that disgusting stuff straight into their bodies. Moreover, in the lungs! I always have to stay a distance away from them, out in the streets. Nonsmoker since birth and for life! 🏥
My dad quit smoking after 30 years of smoking, and 4 years later he died from liver damage because of drinking at 52. If it's not one thing's it's another.
Sugar is also poison hoping one day people realize this. Sugar is in so much especially alcohol it's sad our diets make us sick maybe doesn't kill as fast as cigarettes I'm not sure actually statistics because so many diseases are related to Sugar in food they nay just not kill as fast as cigarettes but I know if I only eat meat all chronic pain and my mood improves so much
Smoke cigarrettes company has biggest tax payer in the whole world so some government is not agree to ban but if you ask me about banning for cigarrete my answer is i agree
I quit smoking 2 months ago cold turkey after doing it for 6 years. I keep watching videos like this to remind myself why I did it and I'm certain to never start smoking again.
My dad tells me story on how he used to hide his dad and mom’s cigarettes. Sadly they both died a smoking related death. I am very glad I have lucky parents who have taught me well but it is saddening to see so many people at my school smoking a lot especially at a very young age
I was into ciggerates and alcohol too much in my college days. I used to smoke around two packs everyday. After I graduated from the college I stopped smoking and drinking completely. It has been 8 months since is stopped it completely. I don't have any cravings and my willpower is very much strong. So I am watching this video and thankful that I quitted it. Let me appreciate myself for removing such a bad habit from my life.❤️
As a heavy smoker, my dad even thought it was unharmful or "not that much harmful" until he got his 1st and then 2nd stroke. It is easier to learn the lesson when you almost disappear from this world for once and all. I am 24 and I have never smoked any cigars except for several breaths of weeds from my friends in the past.
My dad smoked most of his life. He's in a hospital now undergoing chemotherapy because of cancer in his lungs, liver and back. It doesn't look good. Mostly because of how late it was discovered. He hated visiting the doctor and didn't get checked up in a long time. The cancer was discovered only when I drove him to a hospital because of severe pain in his back which was caused by a tumor on/in his back.
My neighbour is an 80yo who has been smoking for almost 40yrs and has terminal lung cancer and prostate cancer yet he doesn't want to stop smoking even after knowing it's what's gonna cause his demise. His wife spent a ton of money for his treatment but he never quit. Please don't do this to yourself and your family. Take care of your body and stay healthy, it's not worth it.
@@charliekroll3666 Maybe so you dont die in lots of pain and so you wont be known as mainly a heavy smoker? Also so your family doesnt feel guilty for letting you keep smoking? And so you can live longer?
Nicotine is so bad not only for the people smoking it but for people around them. When people smoke inside their homes, the nicotine attaches to everything, carpets, walls, clothes , furniture and all gets damaged. Than VOCs from the nicotine will make people very sick 🤒🥴 My advise to people who smoke indoors and want to quit smoking is to throw away all furniture, clothes, get new carpets, prime and paint all walls and start fresh.
I smoke marijuana, because i'm not able to sleep through the night, and I struggle with calming down, anger etc, I never smoke tobacco, nicotine, but seeing this video scares me, should I just take edibles instead?
I am one month into quitting and dont have cravings anymore already, smoked for 5 years, I am 21. Anxiety disorder related quitting motive. Now i see this video and I had no idea really was ignorant about how bad smoking really is. Thanks for the education. Sadly my father has smoked for decades and is heavily ignorant.
Bro Im one month as well and im 21 as well too, been smoking for 6 yrs, I do get cravings tho but nothing special, feels great to add each day a new fay without a cig
I won't ever get the point of paying to be more vulnerable to diseases and dying earlier....... Great video, made me be thankful that I've never smoked!
@@leo7325 After all it's just a silly game of numbers certain activities like smoking increase those numbers but in the end you're still rolling the dice. I know someone who died age 29 never smoked or drank in there life
you will if you get addicted to something harmful.....there are many other things that are addictive too, such as junk food (of which most food could be considered these days, specifally due to added sugar), or video games....not to mention the hard stuff like pain killers, whose addicts of which were often times were just following their doctors orders
My Grandfather died in 2018 at age of 92. He was a smoker his whole life (till death).I have seen him for like 16 17 years but there was never a day he wasn't coughing . He died with extreme lung cancer . How he survived that long mainly based on his hectic youth life and simple diet . But guys believe we are nothing compared to those guys our diet , our sedentary way of life I mean messy life. SO YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD. BEST WAY TO STOP SMOKING IS NOT STARTING AT ALL (Smoker's advice)
My father began smoking in 1984 when he was 12 years old. In the year 2000, he stopped smoking because he was coughing a lot and couldn't breathe well. He's been clean for 21 years now and he's a very health person. Not sure about you guys, but do you also cover your mouth when you walk around someone who's smoking? It smells bad and it's bad for your lungs.
what are some ways that your father stopped? im looking for some tips to suggest to my parents because they say it helps them deal with stress but whenever im stressed i do more safer alternatives like chew gum or breathe in fresh environment air.
@GAMING WITH JAGOOS im 12 and one time i overheard these group of girls talking about how they smoked a vape their parent had lying around. I was shocked but it sounded so convincing. A lot of children are doing it, you'd be surprised.
Yeah, my dad’s been smoking since he was a teen, it’s really unfortunate because he’s tried to quit and it makes him way more agitated, which my step-mom doesn’t like. So, he gets back on it, which damages his lungs even further. A horrible paradox indeed.
My maternal uncle used to smoke alot and he was also doing some painting work over years, it pretty much affected his lungs and other breathing parts, he got cancer and somehow he couldn't survive due to lack of medical facilities at right time. He was so loving and kind hearted man! Love you MAMA, rest in peace...
I remember several years ago heroin addiction destroyed my life, I suffered from severe depression and a mental disorder until I was recommended to psilocybin mushroom treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly I'm 8 years clean now. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
they saved you from death bud, let's be honest here mushrooms are one of the most amazing things on this planet I wish people could all realize. they can solve a lot of problems, more than mental treatments.
yes, that's right, I researched and found out that shrooms are helpful in many ways but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source I can reach out to
they've helped me a lot as well I'm a war vet diagnosed with PTSD. A lot of issues spun out of control when I came home. This is something i looked up and tried after trying the roller coaster of antidepressants. Day and night difference
My husband promised to stop smoking starting from Eidul Fitr. So to encourage him, i also offered him $$ if he doesn't smoke until 1/1/2022. He told his friend about his decision to quit smoking and about that rewards that I will give him. So his friend asked my husband, what will he get if he too quit smoking? My husband will reward him with a holiday package to island. It's funny how rewards can really motivate ppl. 🤣
Money ever worst. USA need to ban cigarettes in the usa, FDA,CDC, and the white house need to make to law like the way Juneteen a new federal holiday same way make until law."BAN CIGARETTES MAKE IT IN LAW, LIKE THE POWER OF ALL STIMULUS CHECKS FROM COVID19 PANDEMIC. SAME WAY. BAN CIGARETTES AND EVEN WORSE "ALCOHOL" . GB👁❤👁
jr ch. banning cigarettes would probably be a bad idea, there would be a lot more depression and potentially riots, giving medical aid is probably a better idea
@@ciscocisco6119 a more viable method would be to first educate ppl about that and after that we can ban it. If we ban something without teaching ppl, they will start making it illegally, smuggle it. This would only cause more harm.
i have an uncle who smoke, i told him to stop, yet doesn't, so now I'm finding a way to discourage him to smoke, and encourage him how to change his lifestyle. hopefully I can convince him U-U
My great grandfather was in the military when his wife sent him a letter telling him she would leave him if he didn’t stop smoking. He stopped cold turkey. He kept the same cigarette in his pocket for 30 yrs saying “I’ll smoke in 30 mins” and procrastinating it.
I grew up around weed, tobacco, etc, and now even though I've never smoked, the smell produces a pleasurable feeling in me and, frankly, I simply love the smell. Dont smoke around kids. It has made me want to smell smoke from cigarette, cigar, pipe, etc.
Growing up I spent a lot of time with the family that lived across the street from us, their father smoked a lot of cigarettes and probably some other things I couldn’t identify at the time but those smells instantly give me a rush of nostalgia not matter how bad that may be lol I remembered building card houses and playing hide and seek at their place as well as all those old video games like mortal combat and the old Disney games based on movies, good times good times, crazy to think those memories are partly induced by the smell of stale smoke
I used to smoke when I was from 4-9years old. I just wanted to be like my grandpa, and I really liked it. I still like the smell of cigarettes when someone smokes around, but I don’t smoke since I got smarter and understood that my health is more important than minutes of pleasure, which cause bad breath, yellow teeth, skin, nails, hair and etc. (also CANCER)!!!
@Hole in Rice Bag Still bad for you. It's not like alcohol where a little is okay. Even a bit of cigarretes can be bad for you. I mean yes the more you do it the worse you'll end up being, but still

My grandmother was a chain smoker. Had COPD, lung cancer, but still smoked until the day she died. I can't imagine just how addictive cigarettes must truly be. All I can say is I'll never try it out, every smoker I've ever met has told me to steer clear of it. Speaks volumes.
I smoked for about 15 years and stopped, oh, some 50 plus years ago. My father smoked for 40 years and quit. He died at 93 so had a long life after he stopped smoking. My friend smoked all her life and died of stage 4 lung cancer when she was 82. Some people are more susceptible to cancer than others is my feeling. However, as a stewardess in the Golden Age of Flying, we all started to smoke as we had cigarettes galore on planes, just passing them out after dinner (and taking a bunch home after the flight). How much second hand smoke did we incur - lots. I am 81 now and feel I have a couple more years until something gets me. Stop smoking y'all, life is much better without cigs. Both my father and I used old fashion peppermint candy to help us stop. The taste of peppermint in your mouth stops your desire for cigerattes
I get exposed to second hand smoke so much do to people living next door. I developed a cough, so bad that I’ve had people ask and think that I smoke or have smoked for over 10 years… I’m only 20. The cough has hung around three years at this point
i am so sorry for you. May God save you from this hell... I am 19 and most of people in the univ are already smoking. It's so illogic! Nonsense sucking some BS! If it had had benefits I would've tried it already! But ughhh
People who say "Here for a fun time not a long time" and don't care about their health is honestly sad. Life is already short as it is, why make it even shorter?
Honestly, it dosent really make that of a difference if your not an addict (I've only smoked as often as I chew gum, which is like 2-5 times a year) when you get old, literally EVERYTING KILLS YOU, you gotta be someone stupidly obsessed with being healthy to not get something that could kill you between the age 75-90.
My grandmother's cousin quit smoking on 3/17/2018. I am so proud of her. She asked her daughter to throw away the last few cigarettes, her case, and ash tray the day before. It can be done. I have never ever smoked cigarettes because I learned about it in my health class in 7th grade and in elementary school. My grandpa on my father's side passed away from lung cancer back on 2/20/2007 at age 55. He never could give up on cigarettes.
I have never once smoked in my life but sometimes stress gets to me and I get the urge to "just try it". I plan on rewatching this video every time that happens
My mother died from smoking related lung cancer, I try to avoid people who smoke as much as possible, but it's difficult as there are so many people who smoke at my work, so I'm exposed to second hand smoke almost every day.... so many young people smoke and they have no idea how much it's damaging them, or they do but they just don't care, or think it's a fuckign joke to ruin your health.
Both of my parents smoked and always told me never to start because you become addicted and feel horrible. It somehow worked and I never touched a cigarette in my life, even though all of my friends started at some point. Now I don’t have lung problems when running and lifting and in the winter don’t have to go into the cold every five minutes.
My parents said the same. I tried smoking a few times and it always made me feel sick so I stopped. My friends said you get used to it and then it passes. I was like hell nah lol what's the point in that. My first cigarette was a Newport and I smoked it in about 1 minute and got nauseas and laid on a couch for 45 minutes. If you want someone to never start smoking have them smoke a cigarette so fast that they throw up, your body then will develop a negative association with that action and you won't want to do it.
Those no smoking commercials and lessons I learned growing up and not living in a home with smokers has really helped me never smoke. Teach your kids! We only have one life.
Come from a family of smokers. My mom stopped when she had me and I’ve never touched one a day in my life. It’s literally poison. Hope whoever is struggling can fight it and get clean!
If you really want to quit smoking, you must see it as a crutch that helps you deal with the stress and misery of your life. I quit smoking soon after I quit a really stressful job. I didn't even really think about quitting smoking. It was just something that I outgrew because I realised I didn't need it anymore. All the best!
Most substance abuse is a side effect of misery. If your community has a big drug problem it’s because it is an unhealthy society. Poor Leadership is to blame.

Thanks for educating us about the dangers of smoking, tobacco and nicotine. This really must be talked about more in the media and we must spread awareness about the dangers of smoking and nicotine.
I'm in the exact same situation :( It's so annoying since she won't stop even if I complain to her, her car stinks like cigarettes and I get asthma symptoms from cigarette smoke
Old smokers have their chests full of sputum and they cannot expel it by coughing, because there is a substance such as tar that sticks to the wall of the bronchus and prevents the sputum from rising to the outside... that's really disgusting when I hear an old smoker coughing.
There are plenty of children in my school who smoke, some of them ranging as young as 12 years old. This is extremely saddening. I'm going to ask my headmaster if I may display this video for all the children to see. My father had throat and gum cancer from smoking, but has thankfully survived, however he has lost the ability to taste, smell and breathe through his nose. Please, if you are a smoker, I heavily discourage you from continuing.
This is true when it was our last day being at hotels when we were about to leave there was these little kids that got dropped off and were SMOKING like this is so so sad :(
My grandpa turned 90 this summer. He started smoking in hes teens, and was smoking until the age of 86. He is still going strong, walking trips every day, and even talks about memories from ww2. Its a blessing that he's still arround
Knowing this information already but part take in black & milds, getting a visual aspect like that and taking in all the information from this video, it literally flipped the switch in my brain, I'm done smoking !
I’m a massage therapist and a few years after I graduated, I was able to visit the famous ‘bodies’ exhibit. One of the sections were human lungs, one healthy, one from a smoker. Healthy lungs are moist and pink, the smoker looked like rotten meat, green, black, just nasty. I’ve never been a smoker, but those who are and saw this, well if that wasn’t enough to make you quit right then and there, nothing would. Cool video.
true ....im also Therapist in Africa . you are saying true .. if we can love by ourselves we will love everyone . your real life partner is your body . love it . love yourself . stay healthy ..🙏
It’s really surprising that you can buy cigs any where so easily, while every one knows that it’s so dangerous and highly addictive. The lure of money is at work. I smoked for 24 years tried to leave it with each stick. Had angioplasty last month. The best is to never try even one puff ever.
I never wanted to smoke but I got peer pressured into it at a party in HS. I was drunk and I was like “F it why not.” I started smoking every time I drank, then it eventually turned to an every day thing. I’m now 20 and I think it’s now to make a change but it’s not as easy as I thought it’d be :/
Same story. Thats how i started too. Initial thought was too occasionally smoke during drink party but end up smoking everyday. You know that feeling when u r all alone and just want to light up a cig and just chill Or hang out with your friends and just wanna have one. That feeling of inhaling and just exhaling those smokes out. But the thing is i started to get chest pain , run out of breath by just walking few steps. There were times where i couldn’t even breathe properly .It’s really hard to quit but i did it and its been almost 2 years since i neva have one. I’m 100% clean !! LET ME GIVE YOU AN ADVICE!! If u wanna quit just do it from today. My plan was to stop smoking everyday and do it only while i’m drunk. IT FAILED. And then planned to smoke only twice a week but it too failed. When i’m having a bad day and i’m just like what the hell and just started to lights up. If you even have a tiny relationship with cigarette, you’ll will eventually come back for more. So, no 2nd thought just quit it even your friends lend you a cigarette just tell them you quit and there’s nothing to embarrassed about. Damn i wrote a paragraph here 😀😀 but i hope u read this . U wont got cancer or any disease now but after many years from now those side affect will started to show. At that time you’ll start a family and will be happy but well thats how those tragedy starts for everyone!!!
I watched about 10 good friends progress this way every time in high school. After about 5 people I noticed the trend and always warned people after how one time leads to two, to three, to full blown smoker. It was very sad :(
My grandparents are smokers, and every time I see them, they always have cigarettes in their hands, smoking together and spreading those awful odors. I've never liked the smell of cigarettes, so I always cover my nose and stay as far away from them as possible. I was in grade school back then when our school taught us about the dangers of smoking, and I just knew I had to put an end to my grandparents' smoking habit, so I figure I throw their cigarettes whenever I see one lying, sure, I was scolded for doing so whenever I'm caught, but I continue doing the same thing but without them knowing. Oh, of course, taking away their cigarettes without their consent and throwing it won't make them quit smoking, which then I have thought that I warned them instead every single day about the effects of cigarettes, and so I did, as well as explained to them how much we love them and don't want them to suffer from those diseases. Years have passed and I haven't seen or heard from them about smoking; they quit smoking and are as healthy as they can be, still, happy living with all of us. I was like 9 back then and I'm nearly an adult now, but they're still grateful that I encourage them to quit their addiction to smoking.
I wish I did that to my grampa before he died I’m 10 years old and he suffered from blindness, deaf, mute, stage 4 lung cancer . I once hid my grampas cigarette but he went to my gramma and asked her where his smoke was no one new but they caught onto me so my dad lectured me about it so after that I never hid his cigarette again but now I regret that😔… Edit:my cosin kinda convinced me to smoke when I was 6 and I smoked like a whole cigarette before my parents caught onto me but I didn’t get is trouble cuz it was his fault but it’s all good now

It's not too late for smokers. If a smoker stops smoking for a month, smoker's lungs will be healed around 60%, and if smoker completely stops smoking his/her lungs will be healthy (obviously not healthy as non smokers)

I didn’t touch a cigarette for my first 20 years of life, then I started smoking in the military and smoked for 10 years. Finally last year I said enough was enough and quit smoking cold turkey and I haven’t smoked in 4 months. I have no urges nor do I miss it it’s like I never did it. Crazy how powerful the mind is.
Cold turkey is the hardest way to quit but don't ever forget, you're only one smoke away from a pack a day so don't light that one smoke. Keep strong Jay.
Started smoking at age 16 knowing that it was unhealthy but figured I would quit after a few years. 56 finally quit. Educate the unhealthy effects plus the addiction. That's what made it the hardest for me to quit.
@@lorenzolandoni424 naah like I really appreciate the kind gestures but ig I kinda missed a thing or two to tell. So smoking is like the only thing that keep me from ending it all Ik this might sounded cringey, and I'm sorry if it does. But yeah ig I'm just screwed from the begining
My uncle passed away on 30th October this year from from I think is lung disease. Before this, all of my family members usually see him smoke quite a lot. He died at 60ish years old and my grandma is 84 yet she saw her own son for the last time in the hospital(including me). I keep theorizing that the reason he died is because of smoking and I even told my grandma that's the cause but she either silences or just silently denied. Many family members did attend the funeral but some didn't made it in time due to either traffic jam or very important work. Hopefully my grandma can recover from getting upset because of this. 🙏
I'm 19 years old I used to try smoking at the age of 13, tried it several times but I didn't feel good, at that time I didn't know that smoking was dangerous later on and now I'm glad I didn't try smoking again👍
i pray you will stop smoking before the damage is irreversible. My parents were very heavy smokers and are my brother and sister. She has COPD.... I've never smoked, grew up with asthma.......and always had breathing issues when I would come down with flu or severe colds in my life...

I am never smoke, not even try. Many ask me to try but I am always refused. This video makes me concerns about others that still can't quit smoking. one benefit (just a pleasure) from smoking but leaving tons of bad stuff behind.
I smoked ONE! Cigarette in my life, was goin thru a hard time picked up my first of Marlboro smooth. The price alone made me not wanna do it again and a good friend of mine saw I was smoking and made me break it an throw away everything. Hvnt picked up another one since then, thank you Antwon ❤️
Im so glad ur friend jumped in to help u stop. I wish mine did, but they wanted a whole one so badly & at the time I was craving a cig so badly ( never really smoked one in my life, but had that urge and need to smoke ) and I had. 2. 2 puffs. The second one was just terrible... Went home having a hard time breathing. I felt so ashamed & regretted it. I already smoke the green goods, so Im already worried for my lungs. Worried so much after that day, my lungs have felt weird since and my breathing has been harder + more flem. 😫😣 Has only been about a month and a half since then. Hope you're doing well tho! : ) Thank you for telling your story! 😊
My late grandfather who I never got the honour of meeting because he died too early in his mid 30’s, never smoked in his life, his father however did, excessively. His father developed a type of mouth cancer but after a few surgeries, survived and lived over 70. However, my late grandfather, who’s never smoked developed backbone cancer, and in order to save him, my Mom’s family spent a lot of money to get him treated from a foreign country (France, Paris), he still didn’t survive.. I’ve always wondered why something like that happened.
Funny enough, when I was in grade school the 'D.A.R.E.' program was still going on. It was a pretty big failure of course, but I was still able to learn a little bit about the dangers of drugs through it...27 years old now and I've learned a lot more thanks to real-world experiences and my mom/sister both being nurses. I haven't touched any kind of Tobacco a day in my life and I'm going to keep it that way until I take my last breath ♥
I quit 2 weeks ago and switched to nicotine pouches, even though nicotine is hard to give up, using pouches that you put in your upper gums are a better option than smoking since you dont inhale carcinogens and all kinds of industrial chemicals into your lungs. Currently i use up to 3-4 citrus flavored nicotine pouches a day which are much more effective at quelling nicotine fits, they make me feel dizzy too which makes it uncomfortable to use them, eventually leading me to quit nicotine completely. I gave up smoking 11 years back and happy and healthy as I just stopped smoking on my own . I smoked for many years but reduced the number of cigarettes gradually and checked my lungs they were clear from any spots or infection because I used hardly inhale the smoke . I took the right decision at the right time and am hale and hearty. It is a foolish habit . I request all smokers to give up smoking and save themselves from suffering and even early death. Thanks for educating us about the dangers of smoking, tobacco and nicotine. This really must be talked about more in the media and we must spread awareness about the dangers of smoking and nicotine.
As a person who has a mother smoking often right near me and has asthma, I have suffered a lot :(
I'm in the exact same situation :( It's so annoying since she won't stop even if I complain to her, her car stinks like cigarettes and I get asthma symptoms from cigarette smoke
Same
No different than if you were around a camp fire or toxic cleaning products. How long has your mom smoked for ?
You should talk to an adult or something about it and smoking is illegal in front of people under 16
Old smokers have their chests full of sputum and they cannot expel it by coughing, because there is a substance such as tar that sticks to the wall of the bronchus and prevents the sputum from rising to the outside...
that's really disgusting when I hear an old smoker coughing.

He is still going strong, walking trips every day, and even talks about memories from ww2.
Its a blessing that he's still arround
I'm glad he's still with you. The amount of people who were actually in WW2 are disappearing at an alarming rate.
Yeah man there will be always someone who breaks the rule or an exception. If you watched the video then you know why not to follow that example.
Over a year off 10 year cigs addiction, quit due to many factors. One being the birth of my beautiful Daughter.

Cool video.

It’s really surprising that you can buy cigs any where so easily, while every one knows that it’s so dangerous and highly addictive. The lure of money is at work. I smoked for 24 years tried to leave it with each stick. Had angioplasty last month. The best is to never try even one puff ever.
Truth!
may I ask what symptoms were you experiencing?

It is easy, just use other nicotine products that are smokeless instead.
I watched about 10 good friends progress this way every time in high school. After about 5 people I noticed the trend and always warned people after how one time leads to two, to three, to full blown smoker. It was very sad :(
Yup same here, that's why I've given up drinking as well.
You can distract yourself by eating or playing games if you still want cigarettes go tell everyone in every store to remind you
YOUR VIDEOS SAVED MY LIFE. I'm understanding everything thanks to all your videos as a med student. Thank you !
rooting for those who are trying to quit smoking!! you can do this :)
I once hid my grampas cigarette but he went to my gramma and asked her where his smoke was no one new but they caught onto me so my dad lectured me about it so after that I never hid his cigarette again but now I regret that😔…
Edit:my cosin kinda convinced me to smoke when I was 6 and I smoked like a whole cigarette before my parents caught onto me but I didn’t get is trouble cuz it was his fault but it’s all good now

It's not too late for smokers. If a smoker stops smoking for a month, smoker's lungs will be healed around 60%, and if smoker completely stops smoking his/her lungs will be healthy (obviously not healthy as non smokers)

You’re not alone
I quit 2 weeks ago and switched to nicotine pouches, even though nicotine is hard to give up, using pouches that you put in your upper gums are a better option than smoking since you dont inhale carcinogens and all kinds of industrial chemicals into your lungs. Currently i use up to 3-4 citrus flavored nicotine pouches a day which are much more effective at quelling nicotine fits, they make me feel dizzy too which makes it uncomfortable to use them, eventually leading me to quit nicotine completely. Thankfully i’ve only smoked for 3 years and quitting with cheap nicotine pouches is much easier.
My neighbour smokes 15-20 cigarettes daily. I know him from my childhood. Now he is 82. Still he smokes 🤣🤣

Sure, he might have reached old age as a smoker, but he would be much healthier and live much longer if he had never smoked. Also statistically speaking, he is the exception.
I started smoking in the spring of 1989, It took me 7 times, but I quit for good in 2015. I took a class to help me quit and I used the Nicorette gum. When I smoked, I got sick every winter and in the winter of 2015, I got so sick, I ended up in the Hospital for 3 days.
Just give it up and the same money can be used for eating healthy food. Live healthy , live long. I am now 63 years old
