The worst thing about smoking is that even if you get over the natural symptoms of dropping an addiction there's still someting missing. Smoking just kinda becomes this thing to do even if you don't crave the nicotine. When i tried droping it once i often found myself just holding a pen or a lolipop stick in my mouth just to satisfy the habit

Matthew Chow no smoke is good for your lungs. My uncle (you can google Daniele Piomelli) is one of the worlds foremost researchers of marijuana use and its effects, especially on the nervous system and in the long term. He knows it has negative effects on the body, we just don’t know how negative as there hasn’t been enough time to study long term effects. Not as bad as cigarettes but it’s like the difference between drinking motor oil every day or drinking a sofa every day. Both are bad but the first is worse, or at least it is as far as we know.
Matthew Chow www.lung.org/stop-smoking/smoking-facts/marijuana-and-lung-health.html Made by the American lung organization. You can live in denial all you want just cause you smoke. As I said, my uncle has done research into the effects and there is no doubt marijuana is good for the mind and many neurological issues, but it is not good for your lungs. I think you are the one who needs to research as I have now provided governmental and scientific data to back up my claims while you haven’t. My guess is you just like to smoke and pretend no negative health impacts exist.

It has been almost two years since I quit smoking. Following these steps really helped me. 1) Don't think you are quitting forever, that will build unwanted anxiety. Just quit for the day and so on. 2) Eat whatever you want, as much you want. Treat yourself like a king. Have chocolates, ice cream, favourite food etc. 3) Avoid places or people who trigger smoking craving. eg smoker groups, friends, smoking while driving, etc. 4) Note down trigger points/ periods and beat them. These are the most crucial moment of truths, eg if you smoke as you wake up, be mindful of it and control cravings for 5-10min, after which it will go away soon. 5) Stay happy, take out some break. Relax, and enjoy life.

SuperDan the science on this is based on a subject. It must be lol. It’s not like you have one cigarette and have to wait 15 years for you to recover. I assume it’s a pack a day smoker for a few years I’m not sure I can’t find its base
It depends on how much and how frequently you were smoking. Perhaps the damage isn't as bad as you think and you might recover in 1-2 months completely. The thing about this vid is that it didn't go into that topic. Not all smokers smoke 2 packs a day.
SuperDan Buddy, did you ignore the long list of improvements described as time goes on? Those improvements are not by any chance minor, and some take just twenty minutes after quitting.
SuperDan That doesn’t mean that you will have a heart attack in the next 15 years. It just means that if, say for example, smoking had increased your chances for heart attack from 2% to 25%, it will go back again within 15 years.
Please anyone who never started don't pick it up even once to try you will never realise how you got trapped. I'm suffering the same, well I'm trying to quit it now let's see how things goes. Help me God 🙏

Could you please make a similar video on smoking of marijuana? I'm not talking about the high, but biological effects of the smoke
Marijuana smoke is actually good for your lungs
Matthew Chow no smoke is good for your lungs. My uncle (you can google Daniele Piomelli) is one of the worlds foremost researchers of marijuana use and its effects, especially on the nervous system and in the long term. He knows it has negative effects on the body, we just don’t know how negative as there hasn’t been enough time to study long term effects. Not as bad as cigarettes but it’s like the difference between drinking motor oil every day or drinking a sofa every day. Both are bad but the first is worse, or at least it is as far as we know.
@@CortoMalteaser Marijuana smoke is good for your lungs. Do some more research.
Matthew Chow www.lung.org/stop-smoking/smoking-facts/marijuana-and-lung-health.html
Made by the American lung organization.

Dude congrats that’s very hard
Do you still crave smoking even after quitting it

It's the best thing I read today
I quit 6 months ago.......... and you are telling me its gonna take 15 years for things to be back to normal? Thats gotta be the most unmotivating this ever

I’m at 13 months without a cigarette now and I can wholeheartedly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I went from thinking I’ll never be able to quit to where I am now. If anybody reading this is thinking about it then just do it. You won’t regret it.
Nah.
@@analias3483 lol what an empty-headed comment.
@@jameswallace7091 it’s 100% his choice though. There’s nothing wrong with smoking if it’s what you legitimately want to do. Same with quitting.

Tip for smoke quitters :
A day or two after stopping, go to a hot sauna, you will sweat out the nicotine in your body and it will become easier to quit.
48 hours after smoking the last cigarette all nicotine has already left the body. So your statement is incorrect. It works, sure. Not after 2 days of quiting though, but during the first 2 days.
If someone wants to quit smoking they should just start gaming

The biggest flex in my life is, I never had a cigarette in my life and I'm 24 years old. The funny thing is, people said I played it too safe, not willing to explore other things in my life and I'm a good boy and other stuff but I actually feeling proud of myself.
After 6 years of smoking, I quit for almost 3 months now. Due to resolving my trauma, now I am healing. I don't wanna go back to my unhealthy coping mechanism again because I am seeing my worth now. I still feel not enough in this journey but I really wanted a drastic changes for my self-love. Virtual hugs for those who try and trying to save their body. xoxo
Where is my non-smoking ?

I am not smoking. I am vaping.

I start smoking at age 11 and now i'm 25 ,i stop smoking for almost 6months from now.

Im still having my marlboro while watching this video. Really hard to quit. All of you who have quit this cancerstick you are such heroes.
As I was quitting smoking the occasional cigarette would knock me back like I was 12 years old. It was crazy that I was used to smoke 30+ everyday. Smoking is a powerful hit to the body you just get used to. I have not had a puff in 30 years after smoking for 10.

I smoked for nearly 5 years (I'm 25) and last year I felt shortness of breath by merely having a conversation with someone. It's been already 46 days without smoking and I keep going. Hang in there you watching this video and fighting against cigarette
I've never smoked once in my life. I have asthma and only the top half of my lungs work properly. I cannot understand why people smoke, why would they not care about damaging their lungs? Hey man it’s been 6 months
How’s it going
@@Idkk613 During these six months i had a bit of stress full experience, it was a dark moment in my life and in my mind, i thought a cigarette now would make me feel more relaxed, so I smoked one from a friend, it tasted like burned paper, and it didn't help at all, I couldn't even smoke the whole thing, you REALLY quit when you break free from the mental fog that smoking makes you feel a bit relaxed in hard situations and when you break the cycle of smoking with coffee/ after eating.. so far so good
@@jassimnuwaider4941 you described it perfectly man im trying to quit and at this point it feels like I'm not even enjoying the cigarette. it's more like enjoying the concept that a cigarette helps you relax
I just lost my grandpa I love with COPD 6months ago. I have and will never smoke cigarettes as he told me not to smoke like him. He was regretting that he was smoking and he said he doesn’t even know why he was smoking after he quit smoking. This is crazy how it’s legal to smoke cigarettes. It should be illegal as a dangerous drug sooner imo
